Lynn's was so welcoming! The coffee options area plenty and the ice cream section reminds me of my childhood ice cream parlor! Came here to get some ice cream with the hubby. Had lunch at Lynn's between Christmas and New Year's. Husband thought the Reuben was excellent. It certainly had a LOT of corned beef. The side salads were nice and fresh. Good blue cheese dressing. I ordered the Santa Fe burgers. The sum of the parts fell short. Burger Patty good, cooked medium rare as ordered. Smashed avocado, meh. Pico de Gallo was nice and punchy. No sign of the hatch chilis. My biggest gripe? The brioche bun was not nearly robust enough for a burger with that many components. It fell to pieces on the first bite, turning it into a fork only sandwich. read more

The food at Ellens was very good. The day we went, I was a bit disappointing because the two owners were deep in conversation with a bearded man discussing business and talking bad about people in the open. The bearded man knew someone across the restaurant and was talking loudly to them, rather than getting up & walking over to them to discuss business. It was quite rude & very distracting. However, his behavior was not the restaurants fault, other than the owners standing at the table and talking to him out in the open. I wish they all would have taken their business elsewhere. The quiche was wonderful. I had the seafood sandwich, my mom had the chicken salad and my daughter had a salad. Each meal was great. What was absolutely gross was the cockroach (photo below) that was dead on the floor underneath my daughters feet at the table. In fact, she saw it the moment we sat down. She wanted to leave immediately. However, since Ellen's was rated so well on Yelp, we stayed to try the food. I'm glad we did. However, they need to make sure that their dining room is free of roaches and their owners stop conducting business out in the open. It's a real turn off! read more

I love any restaurant that has a dog friendly patio first and foremost! Everyone was extremely kind and explained the menu since we were first timers (eating the food. We've had their sweets before). I had the chicken and spinach quiche. I enjoyed every bite and my husband loved his crawfish etouffee as well. The whole reason of coming was to try out the food but I can't help but to love the sweets more. The ice cream is always on point. Try the birthday cake one, trust me. Our 2 dishes and 2 drinks (minus dessert) came out to $36, which was a little more on the pricier side, but the service makes it worthwhile! read more

Stopped in at Ellen's to feed our sweet tooth with a scoop of ice cream. What a lovely little restaurant with gracious employees. Ellen's does serve lunch, as they had a good-sized indoor dining area as well as a small patio area with covered picnic tables for their guests. A small ice cream parlor-style area is separated from the dining area where you can purchase cups or cones along with fudge or other sweet treats. I can't attest to the quality of the food, but there did appear to be regular customers here who were being tended to promptly. Since we only had ice cream, we sat for a bit in the ice cream parlor area and then moved briefly outside to finish up. Prices were reasonably and servers were very friendly. The hasbrowns were obviously frozen because they arrived cold and had to be sent back and then they came back overcooked and shriveled. The pancakes had A LOT of berries on them (which I appreciated) but the pancakes were pale yellow and not golden brown. I didn't see any other restaurants in the area that served breakfast, so this was an opportunity to have people lined up outside the door! Whoever is cooking doesn't have their heart in it and is just sending out "meh, I can do it better at home" food. The service was amazing. Dear Foodie Readers, only the freshest ingredients were served here...if you still have not been to Old town Spring, I do not know what you are waiting for, we were so excited to go back, and try another restaurant, and this one did not disappoint. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside on their lovely street side patio...we were actually wanting breakfast, but they are sticklers about the time, I think we came ten min after they no longer served, but that is ok....we enjoyed our lunch options so much. Our server was so friendly, and helpful, the boys got a milkshake, which was out of this world...I got the tuna melt, of course, and it was to die for...it is huge, so I took half home with me....but let me just tell you, I am still dreaming about it...my son got the chicken salad sandwich, and it was just as delicious...go try it...I always love that it feels we went on a mini vacation when we go. read more

After a very eventful morning I was in need of a break from the daily grind, so I decided to explore Old Town Spring and stop by here for lunch. The service was very friendly and prompt and there were many items to choose from on the menu. The place is very clean, and there are lots of tables. There is a separate counter where you can just order fudge if you don't want to sit down and have a meal. I ordered the CBS Sandwich with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was wonderful, both sweet and tangy. The bun for the sandwich was especially good-very soft, something between a hamburger bun and a croissant, and wonderfully toasted. The chicken breast in the sandwich was thick and juicy, and the bacon crunchy. It was topped off with Swiss cheese, lettuce, and fresh tomatoes. I only got through half of it before feeling full and can't wait to finish my leftovers later! This is a great stop when you're in need of some traditional American fare (and a deep breath). We had the Lobster Crab Cake sandwich with Lobster Bisque and the Rueben Sandwich with French Onion soup. Both were so yummy!!! I'm not sure why this place has four stars. I came here yesterday with my family and I wish I trustedmy gut when we walked in the door. We waiting about 15 minutes to be seated, as they did not have a hostess. Not a big deal. I ordered the BLT, my husband ordered the cheeseburger, and my mom ordered Lynn's special, half sandwich with soup. The bacon on my BLT was cold and hard, and the lettuce and tomato's were not fresh. And it looked like someone pressed down on my sandwich as it looked handled with when it was served to me. My husband's burger came out cold and rubbery. How do you mess up a burger? It's the one thing you expect to order and to get it right. It tasted microwaved. We could of made a better burger and BLT at home, and I wish we did. My mom said her lunch was just okay. Nothing special. It's really a shame because from the outside this place really cute but was a huge disappointment. Went for breakfast this morning, and we arrived prior to breakfast service being over. There were empty tables on the porch and in the dining room, yet the two employees behind the counter said they were too crowded and weren't serving breakfast any longer. I've never been to a restaurant that did that. I've been looking forward to eating there for a while, having read good reviews. After this lack of professional conduct - and just plain rudeness- I doubt I'll make the trip there again. read more

My husband and I are from Colorado and wanted to try a small cafe...I'm so glad we came across this place on google! Amazing food, his biscuits and gravy with real sausage gravy that had bacon in it was mouth watering on top of HOME MADE biscuits with a crispy exterior and soft fuffly interior. Plain Jane me went with eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast but they were delicious! They were kind enough to make one scrambled egg for our 6 month old daughter, of course she loved them! I was not impressed with Lynn's Table.The breakfast was terrible , the quiche is salty and over cooked , the portion of hash browns was very small and not hot. Honestly I was very disappointed. The waiter took forever and never asked to refill our coffee, another waiter tried to take my friends plate away while she was still eating. They use fast food condiments like package ketchup and syrup.They boast they are chefs, what chef uses package condiments . The biscuits are not homemade. I've had better food at Denny's. Overall I was happy with my visit here. We sat on the patio which is in a great area in old town spring. We had had the turkey sandwich and cauliflower soup and the burger. I found that the value was better than a average :) the turkey was very good and fresh. The cauliflower soup was unique but delicious. I want super impressed for the price of the food. I did go for lunch and it was only basic menu. Seems like it's the old restaurant with just a new name. My bread was different than what was stated on the menu for my sandwich not a huge issue and everyone was pretty friendly. Dessert side has allot going for it we took some fudge home. Power kept going off while we were there. We noticed other Yelp reviews but food reviewed wasn't on our menu. Maybe night menu is different si heads up. The ice cream cones here are around $3 each. (that's a simple cone like the ones at mcdonalds) Omg the ice cream here is amazing though, so it's worth it! They stack it high too! My son loves the rocky road, but they were out this past time we visited. The girls working were very helpful. One offered rocky road fudge, but he isn't too keen on fudge. Next they offered to put marshmallows in the plain chocolate for him. The marshmallows are the reason why he likes rocky road. He opted for fudge brownie ice cream. Very rich & creamy. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but my lobster sub didn't seem traditional. The toasted bread was bang on but the filling had a minced consistency and was heavy on the Mayo. They make their own homemade fudge but the piece I got seemed dry and a bit passed its prime. The decor could use some sprucing up. We stood at the front for about 5 minutes before someone came to talk to us. He told us to sit anywhere and it would be a wait. We were never brought menus or even a glass of water. As we sat and waited we saw some others come in, get seated right away, and get their beverages so my mom got up to find someone. The person who had spoken to us said "can I help you" in a rude tone. She explained what was going on and he said "I'll be right with you." He never even looked in our direction again. First off, this place was adorable! We went for our first time on Sunday after church. We were disappointed that breakfast stops being served pretty early because almost every cafe we've been to is still serving at 10:30am. We ordered lunch because that was the only option. I got a side of pasta salad with my sandwich and my fiancé got a side of potato salad. Both sides were not good. The sandwiches were pretty decent though. I was surprised to see the place so empty on a weekend when every other breakfast lunch spot has a wait around 11, but again pry because no breakfast to be served. Good food, good service, but I ordered a lobster roll. What I was brought was imitation crab meat roll. Not worth $20.99. Don't advertise a lobster roll if it's not lobster. I have only one complaint about Lynn's--the rude and terrible waiter who always seems to be there serving us. His name is Matthew. I have been here on numerous occasions and I have loved each visit, for the most part! The food is always nice and fresh, the espresso beverages and sweet treats are good, and even most of the waitstaff has been excellent! We even got a chance to interact with the owner and she was a delight. But our waiter Matthew has made me feel so unwelcome there so many times, I don't even want to bother visiting anymore. On one occasion I was dining with my family, a party of eight. I am a short adult woman, but nonetheless, I am an adult. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and he suggested I order off the kid's menu in an incredulous way. I said no thank you, and that I was fine to eat an adult portion. Ten minutes later, he comes to the table and pulls one of my older female family members aside and says, "You know she just ordered a $20 plate of pasta, right?" We all looked at him dumbfounded. I felt humiliated, and I informed him that I would be paying for my meal myself. He didn't even apologize, he just left. I felt so humiliated and degraded by how he treated me during my visit then. Still, I have come back. The rest of the times he's served me, he's looked at me and the other guests I've brought like we are vermin. Choppy with his words, and never around to serve us--even when it's 1:00 on a rainy Thursday and the restaurant is empty. Dreadful service from him, which is so disappointing considering I've loved every other aspect about this place. The few times we've been waited on by other servers have been very pleasant, but I will not be going back anymore just to be treated in the ways I have. read more
