This place is PHENOMENAL. I've been getting pedicures consistently for about 5 years and I've never had a better pedicure than Lynn's mom gives. This lady goes SO hard! She is a little rough, but she does not leave any dead skin behind. Every time I would be shocked at how soft and perfect my feet and nails were. Lynn usually gave me manicures and they were always beautiful and lasted for a long time. She was so nice and fun to talk to also. Pedicures/manicures take a very long time (usually more than an hour), but I enjoyed setting time for myself aside to get my nails done. But if you're in a hurry, I would recommend waiting until you have time! The salon has very comfortable massage chairs, nice hardwood floors, magazines to read and music. The prices are fantastic too! This is the best nail salon I've ever been too. I came here consistently for the 2 years I lived in Tacoma and never had anything but a wonderful experience. This is a hit/miss nail salon. My last few visits, the gel was not properly secured and that could've been my doing by accident both times. However, the regular nail tech seemed to not be able to fit me in both times to fix the issues. I contemplated even going back, but it was out of convenience. I'm not sure who the owner is because the sister took the place of the other nail tech that regularly services me. I've never had issues with the other nail tech's customer service. The nail tech servicing me today said her name is "Lynn," but I can't be too sure because she sarcastically told me before that, her name is Apple. I'm aware that the nail salon is called Lynn's Nails. The mother always does my pedicure. She seems lovely. I should have left when "Lynn" thought it was a good idea to put her feet on the table that she would be servicing me on. She did not give me a proper fill. She did not build it. She kept telling me how I was picky with a client sitting next to me when I've only chose two colors, although they weren't gel. She sent me in the back, so I assumed that they were all gel. I'm incredibly disappointed in this experience. It seemed like she was in a RUSH. I almost left when I got to my "fill." She was rude to the customer to the right of me and insinuated a lot of terrible things. I tipped because of the mom. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of her professionalism and customer service. It seemed when I've mentioned my race and age when she first asked, she started to talk down on me. I truly hope that she's not like this towards any other client. Mind you, she did not provide me with pedicure flip flops. Please, get it together. So many things wrong with her professionalism. Just a lot of uncalled for things happened. They shaved my natural nail down to the nail bed and drew blood, and kept going, proceeding to damage my other nails and burn my skin slightly before I had to walk out. This place over all had good reviews minus one of saying the guy was ruff. And just my luck I got that guy. Nicked 8 out of 10 of my fingers, was Deffiently in a rush. Didn't even get hand massage. Also before I made appointment I asked how much it would be for the services I wanted and I ended up getting charged 10 more $ than was stated on phone. Easy to walk in and get a mani or pedi. Typically, I just get the pedicure...I don't do the "crytal gel". (check out nail salon on u tube...very funny and so true!) This place is family run which I think holds true for most nail salons. I believe it is Lynn's mom that does the spa pedicure. I was really excited about trying this place as it's walking distance from my house. Went in yesterday and was disappointed. If you are looking for a sub-standard cheap pedicure, this is your place. Pros: Just one, $20 for a pedicure (no option on their debit/credit card machine to tip). Cons: Lady smacks your feet when she wants you to move them (did not say an entire word or even look up the entire time), they don't paint your entire nail (leaving the sides without polish), there is no massage whatsoever (just quick slapping on of lotion), they are very messy leaving polish on the sides that I had to clean up when I got home even after asking them to do it, playing music and the news on TV at the same time, and basically just an "I don't care that you are here or if you come back" attitude. read more

This is my go place for having getting my beauty maintenance done. I've been coming here for years. I get my eyebrows, upper lip, hands and feet done here. The main nail technician always knows how l like to have my nails done and does a great job on my eyebrows! I love coming here for maintaining my girly-ness. The staff is friendly! I give this place 5 starts for acrylic. I came in with a specific photo and got exactly what I asked for in a timely manner. A full set is always a little painful but overall he was gentle on my nails. 4 days later I broke a nail (totally my fault) and when I came back he quickly fixed it free of charge and new the exact gel color just by looking. I came here about six months ago, and I will honestly say this is one of the best pedis I've ever had. I get a callous right in the middle of each the balls of my feet as a result of some pressure point/the way that my weight is distributed when i walk. She (Lynn??? older lady who does the pedis) gets those things OFF! She leaves it completely smooth, and its so relieving. It's almost like they've never been there. No other nail salon has been able to do that for me. Maybe once a long time ago, when all nail salons used the scrapers vs the cheese graters. I actually live in Renton, and I'm never in Tacoma, but I always try to find an excuse to go back. She makes sure you leave w/ your feet being as smooth as when you came out the womb. I'm hoping to make my way back there this weekend, and I really hope I get the same service. I saw another reviewer say it was dirty and I disagree. It just looks a little old to me....certain things look a little dusty, but nothing makes me feel like I'd get an infection or anything of the sort. They could def get some newer pedi chairs. That's my only "negative". But the quality of the pedi far outweighs that. The parking arrangement could also be way better. There's only like three/four spots...unless there's more parking I didn't see. Luckily it was pretty slow when I came in, so I had no problem finding a spot. read more

Had the spa pedi, however Lynn's mom did not speak any English...i thought "ouch!!" was universal but i guess not. Water was way too hot and mom seemed not to notice; the cute little girl that is a family member understood though, and added some cold water to cool it down. The pedi was absolutely painful, however with my ouching and jerking my foot away mom still didn't get it. also, as mentioned in the other review mom slaps your leg when she needs you need to move your foot. she was extremely rough and i ended up with thin red horizontal lines under the nail bed from bleeding. unless you like pain and don't mind paying for it, do not come here. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood and decided to get a pedi near my house. Lynn's Nails was the closet one. Because of the previous bad pedi experienced in Colorado, I decided to do my own inspection of the pedicure chair I was placed on. I reached down and open up the water message system, it was fill with black bacteria. I don't think it have been clean at all. I pointed this out to the owner and she rushed to clean it off for me. I suggest next time you get a pedi at Lynn's Nails to do your own inspection. read more

Let me just start this by saying that, in my life, I've probably only left about 5 reviews for places but this pedicure was so good it feels wrong not to do this. Lynn's nails doesn't offer pedicure packages that I've gotten used to at this point, so I had prepared myself to follow this pedicure with a second pedicure somewhere else because I like to be pampered, have hot stones, and maybe a paraffin wax. I was very very pleasantly surprised at the sheer quality of this pedicure and can say with absolute certainty it's the best pedicure I've ever had. I have super dry skin, so in the winter time the heels of my feet are consumed with callouses so thick that if someone glanced at my feet with no context they would think I spent the last 30 days on a season of "Survivor." Never have I encountered a place so thorough and gentle at removing those callouses COMPLETELY. My feet have never been this soft, the color looks great and it was only $20. I will get my pampering elsewhere, but Lynn's Nails has found a lifelong client in this gal. Will absolutely be back. read more

I have never had "rough treatment", but then again I am paying at least periperal attention to what is going on so I can respond when she taps. I wanted a mani and pedi...shellac on my hands, regular polish for the pedi. I asked for my nails to be cut down, they were not, in fact, the manicure wasn't done at all. Then it was time for the pedicure, and I sat there for half an hour, with no service. The older lady disappeared after finishing someone else, and I waited and waited. I was about ready to leave, and she showed up. I have nerve damage on one ankle, and I showed her the scar and said "don't touch". She used a drilling device to take my toe polish off, and drilled into my cuticle, then cut into my toe. She repeatedly grabbed the bad ankle, even though I yelled OUCH, and said "no!". I finally just sat there and cried and tried to hold my leg still. My toe is now infected and hurts. It was a very painful experience. I won't ever go back. read more
