It had been years since my last visit to Bombers, but they absolutely came through for us with a…read moreMother's Day pickup order. We ordered the Black Bullet party pack which comes with two pounds of brisket and two large sides. We went with fries and beans, and also added ribs, mac and cheese, and buns to the order. The brisket is still the star of the show. The spice rub on it is perfect, and it's so tender that it's unreal. The fries are exactly the kind of battered fries I like which was a pleasant surprise because I feel like not many places do them that way. The beans were okay... a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but they had huge chunks of pork in them that I definitely appreciated. We also added two slabs of ribs, and they fell right off the bone. I'm usually not a huge ribs person, but these were well cooked and flavorful. Mom loved them, and that's what really matters. We did have a few small issues with the order. We realized that our mac and cheese was unfortunately missing when we got home. They also ran out of pretzel buns midway through packing things up, so we ended up with a mix of pretzel and brioche buns instead. Honestly, we didn't mind that one too much because it gave us a chance to try both (I'd pick pretzel if I were you). When we picked up the order the place was absolutely packed, so it was hard to be upset over an honest mistake. They were clearly incredibly busy. I still don't really care for the sweeter sauce that tastes heavily like peppers to me, but their vinegar-based sauce (which I think is their original?) was much better than I remember. I'm glad to see this place is still around and still holds up after all this time. More importantly, the brisket is every bit as good as I remembered.

I ordered 2 small tips which came to about $18.00 dollars. I called the order in and waited about 5 mins after I arrived for it to be ready. The sauce was good, the meat is seasoned well and the staff greeted me when I walked in. The bad The some of the meat was tough. It was hard to chew. I shared some with my kid and she didn't want it because it was hard to chew. Hopefully if I decide to give them another shot in the future their meat is tender.

First off the prices are ridiculous. 41 bucks for a rib tip dinner is outrageous. I witnessed a girl who's order was 63 dollars and she walked out on a pre order. Can't say that I blame her. The food is decent at best. Served hot and a lot of it but you can find better for cheaper in the area. The sauce was tangy/spicy and tastes ok. Everyone who walked in after me while I ate cringed at the prices. A few walked out. This place needs to adjust their prices before they continue to lose business. This is fast food. Not gourmet.

The Pork Tips and Links were tasty...the pork was the best actually. I thought the beef links were tough. This was the combo I ordered and I couldn't locate my photos of the food...or else I would post it here.

The Management as well as general staff seem to not enjoy their work at all and it comes through and the level of poor service. They consistently run out of food which is why I've only ordered there twice out of the four times I've tried to be a customer here. If it wasn't for the fact that this location used to be an Applebee's, I'm not sure how they would stay in business. The space itself is good for performances, which speaks to ambience. If you're not there for live music, don't waste your time trying to grab a meal. It's a shame.
