Very very surprised at how much I enjoyed this restaurant. Came here on a Friday night while passing through town with my parents. The place looked unassuming from the outside, but the parking lot was full. There was a full salad bar (almost all homemade salads, soups, and dressings). All of it was delicious, especially the soups. Cream of garlic and mushroom and butternut squash. Got the fish fry. The fries were underwhelming and the perch (though high quality fish) needed a more flavorful breading, but nonetheless quite good! My dad had a pasta dish that was very flavorful, but not obnoxiously spicy. The meal was accompanied by garlic bread, which was a nice change of pace. Seems to be frequented by plenty of locals, which is always a good sign!

JJ Kelley's is a local Bar/restaurant that's been in the community forever. While I can't say that I have frequented the raucous nightlife they are known to offer, I do respect and appreciate their commitment to the community. Whether it's sponsoring Little League teams, or hosting a fundraiser, they are a vital member of the Village. During COVID they have been offering takeout to try and stay afloat. I have been trying to support local businesses during all of this, so we have hade takeout multiple times. I must say, I have not had a bad bite yet. Everything from Prime Rib to Perch to sliders, wings, deep fried sides, nachos, all better than expected. A few issues as is to be expected with any takeout order - sometimes the steam ruins the crispiness. But a welcomed treat in these awful times. During non COVID days, they often have live music with a focus on rock/hard rock. But we'll update the review to include late night fun once everything is open at 100% again. Totally worth it for takeout

I went with my EX-fiancé to hear Sin After Sin and the opening bands on 11/23/13. We arrived about 8:15pm and seated ourselves at the only table near the side stage door. As the evening progressed, uninvited individuals converged on our table. These individuals became quite intoxicated and after the last song by Sin they confronted me. I was accused of causing ludicrous disturbances! I was not drinking alcohol and had been nearly knocked off my stool numerous times during the evening by the uninvited, intoxicated I've learned the bully patrons are "regulars" and vaguely acquainted with my fiancé. I, however, do not know them personally or professionally. After Sin's last encore, they surrounded me and verbally threatened us. They were each well over the legal alcohol limit; this was obvious. Neither of us had been drinking alcohol. The drunk. unruly patrons threatened to "kick my a$$". I was called a bit¢h repeatedly. No employee from the venue immediately interceded and forced the drunken would-be assailants to leave. A man did stand behind the three and witness the continued assault. EVENTUALLY, he removed two of the inebriated assailants, however, he permitted one to continue threatening me. As an attorney and officer of the court I was alarmed by JJ Kelley's lack of concern for the safety and comfort of their patrons. I have multiple sclerosis and was unable to hastily escape the assault. I was fearful the drunken assailants would carry out their threats and harm me in the parking area. I understand that alcohol causes individuals to act out of character, however, JJ Kelley's has legal, moral and ethical responsibilities that were not performed efficiently. I would not recommend this venue to my friends, family, clients or business associates.I CERTAINLY would NEVER suggest bringing a child here! The website insists this is a family friendly restaurant/pub/bar. Don't be fooled! This is a dive bar with all the dirty restroom, stale beer smelly air, draughty interior and filthy floors you'd expect in a dive bar!! I can only imagine what the kitchen must be like. I did not risk trying the food.

The friend introduced us to the manager who also owns this location. He was very nice; shook our hands and thanked us for our service. We walked out to the To-Go area that had just as much buzz as inside. Ordered our usual; 20 wings mild, onion rings with the horseradish sauce and I may have snuck in an order of mild shrimp while they were catching up. Lol. We evaluated the work we did during the DNC, going over what worked and what could have been better. Our friend explained this Hooter's location has the reputation for being the best and that they always have a nice crowd. All I know is we received the same great service, quality food and good drinks that Hooters is known for. We always have leftovers for the air fryer.

What has happened to Hooters?…read more Love the decor, Hooters buffalo sauce, and what used to be a clean, fun environment. Its just not that anymore. :-( For a while now it seems like staff reluctantly serve serve clients while otherwise running the business. The kitchen screams at the top of their lungs at waitresses, dirty dishes are thrown into tubs in the floor with a crash and splattering food, and service is mediocre most days. I stop by this location 1 to 4 times a month. Not a regular but not a stranger by any means. Today (4/12 @1p) I stopped in and the restaurant was 1/2 empty (for reference). Their was one couple ahead of me who was waiting for the rest of their party (of 6) to arrive. After standing near them for a couple.of minutes I asked the hostess if I needed to put my name in (since I wasn't sure if she knew I wasn't with the other couple waiting for their friends). The reply I got was an eye roll and a "Just wait..." and a few minutes later was told "you can follow me" with an attitude that screamed she was annoyed I was there. She brought me to a table where plates were being dropped into a bin with a crash right behind me. I politely asked if I could have a table away from the waitress service area. She said (with a eye roll and attitude) "No... no other tables are available..." in a half empty restaurant. In fact, the table one further from the original one was empty and one across the row was empty. Even if this was technically a other waitstaff area, it would have taken two steps to get or it. Sorry... between the 'warm greeting', eyebrolls, and ridiculous response to asking for a table away from smashing dishes and flying leftovers, I am worth worth more than that. A mile away I enjoyed Buffalo Wild Wings with friendlier staff, more TVs and more variety. Get it together Hooters... you are loosing your way. Hope you find your way home.

Prime rib is a normally a roasted meat but the friendly waitress asked how we liked it prepared and charred was of the two options presented to us. It was like we couldn't get the usual rare, medium or well-done scope of options. When it arrived, it was not the Prime Rib I was accustomed too but a charred thin steak with overboard seasoning. Being a man and a birthday party honoree, I decided to not complain or send it back as such would have been a very rude, unappreciative gesture to my host, I thought. What I learned here is this is not a place known for Prime Rib or steaks as it is an Italian eatery, stick with pizza and pasta dishes for the best satisfaction. Lesson learned.

Our server was really nice and even though she forgot the extra bread and water fill ups - we were treated nicely. And our food came out in perfect timing. Our food came with a side and also soup so we ordered the lobster bisque. I liked the taste of it but the lobster and onions were diced up and there was so much of it that it just didn't taste good. Onto the entrees I ordered the chicken Marsala and it came with two good sized chicken breasts and I opted for the fettuccine Alfredo on the side. Overall I give it a 7/10 - it hit the mark but wasn't impressive. We also ordered the Parmesan crusted 8 oz filet for $35. We asked for medium but it came out medium rare. Was a bit bland but we ate it. Overall we won't be back for a while but it's a good place to try when you want some Italian from an old school joint.
