So lame. Build that wall on the St. Croix River!

Yeah, I guess it's fine Four stars for the patio And three for the beer After Lakes & Legends and Sisyphus, this is the next closest brewery to home. Beers are very much middle of the road for me. Seems like they rotate more than L&L or Sisyphus, but nothing like Wooden Ship. The rooftop patio is really nice from late May to early October. The marquee at the entry is usually a hoot. Have to admit I was excited when Oliphant from across the River was about to take over (before the deal fell through). That being said, I'd rather have something here than nothing here. Lot of missing teeth in Uptown right now after The Troubles. Hopefully, the suburbanites will come back to Uptown sometime in the not too distant future.

Great brewery and fun experience! Had a local brew and enjoyed the historic vibe of the spot! Good service from our beertender today! I loved exploring all of the nooks of this interesting location! Their giant pretzel was excellent with their beers!

Fun spot in the summer for sure when you can get onto the rooftop and sit up there looking downtown

A+!! If your in the mood for good beer and even better burgers, come on in! Service was quick and all of our orders were correct. I've heard the roof top patio is great as well, can't wait to come back in the summer!!

Came to LynLake Brewery to meet up with some friends, it was my first time here. Cool vibe about the place, I'm told there's a great patio upstairs. I started with the Take 6 With Peach and Smoked Lapsong Souchong Black Tea (IPA), wasn't a huge fan because it was a little too smokey in palette for my liking. I also tried a Belgian Tripel called Triangle Solo that's yeast-forward, with hints of bubble gum and corriander lingering behind a healthy candy sugar backbone, really a fan of this beer and at 8.9% ABV you're bound to have a great time! I ordered the Triple B burger (double patty, shaved fried onions, blue cheese crumbles, bacon bits, house-made balsamic glaze). It was really good but the blue cheese crumbles melted down to nothing, wished there were more of it, but the burger overall was great! Fries were good and crispy, left me satisfied and excited to try other burgers. LynLake Brewery is like a hidden gem for burgers and beers, will definitely be back next time I'm in Uptown!

the service and atmosphere was amazing! the staff were amazing and so kind, i definitely will be back. i loved the rooftop and overall ambience! there was an active mouse but i did not personally mind.

    Fantastic spring night!

Stopped here for a beer, looking for a rooftop experience. This was a great place for that. With views of the Minneapolis skyline on a beautiful spring night, this was a perfect stop. Beer selection is good and I opted for an IPA. Lots of picnic tables on the rooftop patio and we ended up sharing one with another couple. I love the bicycle tire lights above the inside bar. The front of the bar opens up so even if you are sitting inside, you can still get a taste of outdoors. We found a parking spot right across the street but I think that was lucky. I suspect parking can be a challenge on some nights. Great stop.

We arrived just after trivia night had started on a Tuesday. There were quite a few mostly young people. We sat at the bar and the bartender took care of our drink order right away. I had the house made root beer which was good. My husband had the blueberry muffin top beer which he liked. We ordered food. I got the special of the month which was a grilled chicken sandwich. It wasn't dry and the toppings were very flavorful. My husband got the single burger with cheese and cheese curds. He said the burger was good and the cheese curds were cooked well. It was a friendly, fun place. We didn't get to the rooftop. It has kind of an artsy feel which is perfect for this area and something I personally like.

The newest Packer Bar in Minneapolis!! Yes Please! I had actually never been here before until going for a packer game, but I loved it. Staff were super great, lots of seating option both indoor and outside. Beer is excellent and they have a great variety. They also had deals for game day. There are quite a few TVs so not matter where you are sitting you should be able to catch the game. Another bonus is that LynLake has food! They have your typical bar food - burgers, fries, cheese curds. We tried the nachos and weren't really a fan especially for $15. Cheese curds were ok. Im looking forward to trying some of their other menu items though. I'll definitely be back and I'm super excited for this space to be a packer bar. Also if you are a healthcare worker you get 25% off!!

Met up with old friends here on a Friday night around 8pm. The kitchen was pumping out food at that late hour which is always a good sign! The bartender recommended the chicken sandwich and it was really enjoyable... spicy with some kind of cabbagey slaw. Really good. Since I do not drink I had one of their Colas and it tasted like it was straight from one of those antique tin signs of a 1950s soda fountain. A perfect spot for our large group as we could sort of fluctuate chairs as folks arrived and departed. There was a lot more seating than it looked like from the outside, and there was even some kind of painting/art event happening up front (like a class or something? Unclear, but fun to see folks having fun)!!

LynLake has been on my to try list for a minute now, and although I didn't go when their rooftop is open, I still thought it was an AWESOME spot! Great beers on tap, large screen projector to watch sports, great beertenders and they even offer some amazing bar food. The burgers, curds and fries were all divine. This place doesn't disappoint! Can't wait to go back during the warmer months.

We had heard the food was great here and it was hard to tell if it was the truth or not, as there was a little window that offered bar food. I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was worth it, but very spicy. I really liked the fries and though they were the perfect texture. They have the option of turning them to truffle fries, if you are into that. I was designated driver, so decided to have 1 beer and chose the Strawberrian and my girlfriend had the Rhubarbara. They were both good, however the Strawberry was a little less tart so easier to drink. If you are looking for a non alcohol option, you need to try the root beer. I've been a huge fan of 1919 and this is just as good, if not better from the tap. WORTH TRYING!

    Scott S.

Great brewery right in the middle of a lively stretch of bars and eateries. The space is accommodating to big crowds with an open floor plan around the bar plus a rooftop and seating out front. They have a big list of beers and even wine which is a nice addition for the non beer drinkers. What keeps me coming back is their insanely good burgers something about a cold draft and a fire burger nothing beats it!

We lucked out to find a parking spot very close, and the restaurant wasn't even busy when we were there. I can only imagine parking is quite a challenge at busier times of day. We had a cozy booth. I had a view of the streetside windows and the dining room. Music was at a pleasant low volume in the background--we had no trouble talking and listening to each other. Our server, Lali, took good care of us. We were never left wanting and empty dishes were cleared promptly. Everything came out at an ideal pace, too. My husband had a beer from on tap. I was very happy that they had a couple kinds of cider, so I had one from Minneapolis Cider. We ordered poutine as our appetizer. It was fantastic, and a massive serving! My husband had the brisket philly for his entree; brisket is one of those meat cuts that is tricky to get right, as it easily gets too dry, but the cook absolutely perfected it. I had the smoked trout and greens bowl, which was no only delicious, but was also a feast for the eyes. I have never had trout prepared like this before, only salmon, and this dish was quite special. You order at the bar and then they deliver your food to the table in cardboard basket dinner where is plastic and you bring your condiments to the table you choose. I wanted to try their wedge salad as well as their slider flight. The wedge was unique because rather than using iceberg, they use Romain, which actually was a nice change of pace for a wedge. It was good. The onions and tomatoes were diced, the dressing was thinner than most wedge dressings, but it was flavorful. The two pieces of bacon on top were whole and quite frankly might've been better if they would've been chunked the smaller pieces as well, but that's not a major issue. The slider flight comes to three sliders. One is a smash burger , one pulled pork, and one is chili chicken. The rolls are fresh and akin to a Hawaiian roll. The Smashburger was a good basic burger, the pulled pork was decent. And the chicken chili, was a shredded chicken that was spicy, but not too spicy. They were easy to eat and enjoyable.
