It's always a lovely experience at Lynfred Winery. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable. And whether you are a true wine connoisseur or just learning and want to sample something different you've come to the right place.

We had a nice experience here on our anniversary! It has an old school vibe and its much bigger inside than it looks. My party did a tasting and tour here really enjoyed the behind the scenes workings. We loved the wines, so crowd faves were the hot wines ! My fave was the blackberry!

What a great winery and so close to Chicago! The building looks like a castle and the gorgeous woodwork throughout the inside is something to marvel at. They have a delicious selection of wines which you can either by as a glass, get 3 - 3oz flight, or 6 tastings. The employees are gracious and friendly and they have a delicious array of snacks, cheeses, bread, etc. to pair with your wine.

The Lynfred Winery is a true suburban gem tucked away in Roselle near the main street businesses. It's an anchor when there are Roselle festivals, like Rose fest or Taste of Roselle. We recently returned to buy Christmas wines and gifts for hostess baskets or parties and the tasting room offers a fun opportunity to try a few wines and some new foods through food truck vendors. Tonight's vendor was delicious Filipino food. Check out their website for more future food truck days in 2024. I always love the Christmas spiced Red wine but wanted to try the white. This fragrant spiced wine is so good warm and is not too sweet. I loved the sparkling rose' too and bought a bottle of this crisp, dry, bubbly wine for the holidays.

This is my favorite place to be at for wine! Their wine is amazing second time here the staff and everything was great definitely will be back! Also go to the wine tour!

Finally came in to Lynfred for a visit and fell in love with it. Christina, thank you for the opportunity!! I came with 2 other girlfriends. We arrived around 3p and the place was busy! There were alot of people sitting out front at covered tables and one friendly couple helped direct us to the entrance. The winery itself is very welcoming and beautiful. You can tell its well kept and care is taken in its appearance. We did a mixture of tastings. Laura was helpful, funny and provided a joyful experience. When Laura stepped away from the bar, there was a young lady (no taller than 5'2, red-head or brunette, couldn't tell exactly) who stepped in and wasn't friendly at all and seemed to be bothered when we requested our next glass for tasting. :/ We did order the charcuterie box with different meats and cheeses to go along with our wine. It was tasty. My favorite wine was the Assemblage. It's a very smooth red with a tinge of sweetness. Despite the one staff member, I would go back. It's a beautiful escape from the city and was a great experience!

We won a gift certificate to this winery in an auction for Give Kids the World Village. It was a really nice treat. The winery is located in the main street area of Schaumburg. There is plenty of parking on the side of the winery as well as behind it. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for a flight of three glasses of wine. I chose white and rose wines and my husband had the rose and fruit wines. They all tasted great. They also come with cheese and crackers, as well as bread sticks. Service was friendly and warm.

What a friendly staff! I was a little bit nervous initially walking in because I was in an area I did not know, and I could already tell there wasn't much diversity. Thankfully, I was greeted with smiles and continued to be helped. Overall pleasant experience. The wine was smooth, flavorful and good pricing. If I'm ever in the area again, I would recommend. Beautiful space.

How ironic - a five-star review of a winery for a guy who doesn't even drink wine! My wife and I stopped by while on vacation, since we got a certificate through a charity auction. From looking at reviews, it appears that the winery does support quite a few charitable endeavors, which is laudable. I love the vibe of this place! There are plenty of seating options both inside and out, covered and uncovered to enjoy wine, cheese, meats, etc. They seem to have quite an active following, as the location was busy on the weekend (plenty of parking), but not too busy to enjoy. There's also a nice selection of retail items available, wine-themed and other fruit oriented. The service was so friendly, as I've not been to a winery in years, and wasn't exactly sure what the experience would be like. If you're in the area, this is a beautiful place to visit, sit and enjoy wine and snacks for a while and soak in the calming environment.

Nice quaint family feel winery. All staff were very nice and friendly (Sarah you were great)! Best wine options I have experienced for a selection of sweet wines so this time of year was great for those options. Spiced Apple is a hit. Room is available for big groups or table or bar seating for smaller groups. Offers outside seating as well as a Bed and Breakfast.

Our family was on vacation in Chicago, so my husband and I decided to visit some nearby wineries, starting with Lynfred. The building is gorgeous, and the staff is helpful and friendly. We decided to do a three-wine tasting each. I sampled the Viognier 2020, Sparkling Peach, and Red Sangria. I loved the Viognoir and ended up purchasing that and a bottle of the Riesling. The building is gorgeous, so I highly recommend that you take the time to walk around and take some photos. My only complaint about our visit is that the tasting menu is so limited. I wish that the Vignoles, Riesling, and some others were included. That being said we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return in the future. I highly recommend that you stop in to give their wines a try. Whether you have a palate for dry wines, sweet or semi-sweet, Lynfred has an enjoyable selection just for you. Cheers!

It also boasts a beautiful new kitchen and glorious gardens including milk weed for the Monarch Butterflies which have been rapidly decreasing in numbers in recent years. So yay! Lori and George, the Innkeepers are very nice. The Inn is so fun. This is where Bill Murray's character in the movie stayed and the front looks exactly as it did in the movie. Lori gave us a map of the spots in town with marker's of sites from the movie, so we did that for a half day. The inn has a dining room where breakfast is served, there is the parlor with chairs for reading, or a sofa for watch Groundhog Day on the big screen. There is a small breakfast room with a refrigerator, coffee maker and snacks for the guests. There is one guest room downstairs and the others are located on the second floor. They even have a small gift shop area, where Mr. Bee bought a replica clock from the movie, it is permanently set to 6:00 am and the button on the top plays a portion of the radio show it played in the movie. We stayed in the Black Walnut Suite and it was extremely clean, and comfortable with 3 large windows that looked out over the front yard and the street just like in the film. Breakfast was good and plentiful. One morning we were the only guests so I told Lori the night before to take a day off and we would enjoy breakfast in the town square. I can't say enough great things about our stay. The front porch is awesome and fun to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine. The gardens and koi pond around the house are also stunning and beautifully lit in the evenings. There is parking off to the side of the driveway which is really convenient, or street parking. You can also easily walk into the town square from the Inn. We highly recommend checking out The Cherry Tree Inn for a fun weekend or even mid-week stay.

Golf course only review:…read more Course is in excellent condition, even though it was not announced the greens had been aerated when booking. I called to book my tee time and was not informed, nor did I see it on the website. Putting wasn't as bad as you might expect, but not optimal. This should be the most important thing golfers know beforehand. There is also not a system to determine pin position as all flags are the same color and there is not a listing on the scorecard of zones 1,2,3,etc. Those aside, I enjoyed playing the course. It is short, so I played the black tees at about 6000 yards. Not all tee markers were placed accurately vs the silver tees so a GPS watch or range finder will help. There are a lot of unique hole setups so you can play more than just driver and wedge. Carts are new and very well equipped. They have a cooler, club and ball washer, and much more comfortable seats than average. Note they don't provide GPS. The beverage cart also visited my group at least 3 times during the round, which seems less common with afternoon/evening tee times as many seem to shutdown early. Bartenders in the prairie restaurant are nice and were able to fill water bottles quickly at the turn. The restaurant has a bunch of screens to watch football, etc. and staff is knowledgeable enough to find the game you're looking for.

The "public" areas were spacious enough to share with other guests easily, nothing like a hotel lobby lounge. The great reviews led us to book…read morethem for 3 nights and in hindsight we have no regrets choosing them as our winter destination. The only minor downsides are a lack of streaming options, no safe, a single key and the spotty Wi-Fi. Despite the inconveniences, don't let that deter you from coming here. The unique, personal and private experience makes up for it and here's why. The check in and check out process is easy. They don't have a front desk and check in/out requires no interaction with staff. Pulling into the facility, there are designated parking spaces based on the name of the cottage booked. As you approach your cottage, the front door has your last name written on these cute chalkboard hearts. We loved our accommodations. The amenities they provide are well thought out and I for one appreciate the details (big or small). Seven Oaks is a couples only facility with a majority of their updated cottages hosting large 1 bedroom suites with comfortable bedding, an en suite bathroom complete with a 2 person jet tub, Kohler standing showers with multiple shower heads, heated floors (perfect for winters), robes and heated towel racks. In addition to the hairdryer, they also keep cotton pads and Q-tips in the bathroom sink drawer if you forget to pack them. The nightstands in the bedroom have plenty of charging outlets too. The cottages are equipped with lots of drawer and closet space. The cozy living room has a fireplace, comfy sofa, and a TV. For nights in sans screen time, there are books and games in the drawers to keep you entertained. All kitchenettes have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker providing a selection of coffee and teas. Utensils and cups are there if you need them as well. Complementary wine, crackers and a cheese plate (stored in the mini fridge) are provided on your first nights stay along with breakfast for the following morning. For multiple night stays, breakfast is brought out to you at your door around 10-11ish. Their complementary breakfasts are good but our absolute favorite is their ham and cheese quiche. Housekeeping did an excellent job refreshing our place when we requested it and they made the place look and smell spotless upon return.
