This was our first time attending this awesome bed-and-breakfast. From the time we checked in till the time we checked out, great intimate experience. The breakfast was good like a snack for breakfast. The place was clean needed amenities was provided. It was quiet atmosphere. Staff was friendly. Great place for couples. And my husband's voice this place was awesome.

Modest signage off of S. Wells Street.

I found Seven Oaks on Yelp when researching B&B's in Lake Geneva. The great reviews led us to book them for 3 nights and in hindsight we have no regrets choosing them as our winter destination. The only minor downsides are a lack of streaming options, no safe, a single key and the spotty Wi-Fi. Despite the inconveniences, don't let that deter you from coming here. The unique, personal and private experience makes up for it and here's why. The check in and check out process is easy. They don't have a front desk and check in/out requires no interaction with staff. Pulling into the facility, there are designated parking spaces based on the name of the cottage booked. As you approach your cottage, the front door has your last name written on these cute chalkboard hearts. We loved our accommodations. The amenities they provide are well thought out and I for one appreciate the details (big or small). Seven Oaks is a couples only facility with a majority of their updated cottages hosting large 1 bedroom suites with comfortable bedding, an en suite bathroom complete with a 2 person jet tub, Kohler standing showers with multiple shower heads, heated floors (perfect for winters), robes and heated towel racks. In addition to the hairdryer, they also keep cotton pads and Q-tips in the bathroom sink drawer if you forget to pack them. The nightstands in the bedroom have plenty of charging outlets too. The cottages are equipped with lots of drawer and closet space. The cozy living room has a fireplace, comfy sofa, and a TV. For nights in sans screen time, there are books and games in the drawers to keep you entertained. All kitchenettes have a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker providing a selection of coffee and teas. Utensils and cups are there if you need them as well. Complementary wine, crackers and a cheese plate (stored in the mini fridge) are provided on your first nights stay along with breakfast for the following morning. For multiple night stays, breakfast is brought out to you at your door around 10-11ish. Their complementary breakfasts are good but our absolute favorite is their ham and cheese quiche. Housekeeping did an excellent job refreshing our place when we requested it and they made the place look and smell spotless upon return. Seven Oaks is the perfect year-round getaway just minutes from Lake Geneva and most restaurants. Overall our stay was peaceful, quiet and made for a pleasant vacation.

Decided to stay here based on reviews and Yelp did not lead us astray! Cute 1 bedroom cottage with a huge bedroom and bathroom, living room/dining room area and a kitchenette. A bottle of wine and a charcuterie board with crackers was waiting for us upon arrival. Our breakfast was in the fridge for morning. The breakfast was fantastic!! Gluten free banana bread was devine! Didn't taste gluten free at all. Yogurt, fresh pieces of fruit, oatmeal, milk, juice and cereal. Plenty of food for 2! The place was quiet and wildlife abound. The only down side was all the towels and bedding were washed in Tide or something similar and not a free of fragrance option and the breakfast the 2nd day wasn't as good as the first, but the fruit was perfectly ripe both days. I'd definitely recommend this place, in fact, already have to several people. Looking forward to staying here next year.

Cute getaway bed &breakfast!!! Love the cute separate cottages with the porches we stayed in the Henley. There was 1 parking spot right next to your cottage. Check in was easy and contactless. I love that your name is on the door plaque. When you get there the cottage is open waiting for you. The place was nice and clean. The fridge was stocked with the breakfast for the next morning and wine and cheese for that day. The continental breakfast options was pretty good. Yogurts, fruit, juice, cereal so many options. There is a board game unit in the room. The room has a spa tub and that was my only gripe is that our jets for the tub did not work and we didn't find out to in the morning so no way to be fixed before checkout. Overall very peaceful and 4 minutes from downtown lake Geneva. I would definitely go back

We stayed at the Hensley cottage for our one year wedding anniversary . Prior to check in we received several emails asking which type of complimentary beverage we'd like as well as the day of letting us know that we could check in earlier than expected . Upon checking in the owner at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful and let us know his wife brings breakfast by every morning . When getting to the cottage everything was neat and tidy , and the room looked incredibly clean AND there was a complimentary cheese and meat board in the fridge for us - ARE YOU KIDDING ?!? What a nice added touch !!! Without a doubt I will recommmend this place for a nice little getaway.

This was my first time staying here and visiting the town of Lake Geneva. Our stay at Seven Oaks was more than I expected. It was absolutely perfect. It was small, quaint, and exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a vacation rental. The location is perfect and very quiet. It's very close to downtown and the walkable shops, which we did a few times. If it wasn't winter, we could have walked or road bikes to the town. There are no kids or animals allowed which was nice. I have young kids and animals but I was on a vacation with my wife, so it was nice NOT to hear loud voices or barking dogs. Everything was strategically thought out and well planned. We loved showing up to find a bottle of Champaign, chocolates, cheese, and crackers. Our fridge was fully stocked each day with breakfast, juices, and water. We spent a couple nights cozied up to the fireplace and played games while listening to our favorite 90's jams on the T.V. All and all, we could not have been happier with our stay. My wife and I said multiple times that this will be our go to spot and we can't wait for the next visit.

Our welcome tray & wine. The breakfast basket was awesome too!

Wow Wow Wow! I think the first descriptive word I can think of is QUALITY. Every little detail was covered. The place was spotless (seriously the cleanest place we've ever stayed at!!!) Nicely decorated and so tasteful in everything from the towels, sheets, bedding, furniture and more. LOOOOVE that it's 21 and older and pet free. I love my kids and doggies, but when getting away, it's usually from them HAHA - so it was nice for us. Every single cottage was nicely decorated and felt like a cozy little community. We went with another couple and shared one of the double room cottages. It was PERFECT for us. The cheese platter & wine was an awesome welcome, even the gluten-free things were super tasty. I wanna tell the world about this place, then again, I wanna keep it our little secret. ;) We may make this our annual place to stay in Lake Geneva. Well done owners!!

I can't recommend SevenOaks enough. I almost am scared to write this review because 1) I can't do this place justice and 2) I don't want everyone to steal my favorite spot in Lake Geneva! This is the perfect vacation spot. It is like a magical oasis just an hour from Milwaukee. I actually found SevenOaks a year ago on Yelp and have been putting off my trip here because I thought it was too much or too expensive. I was SO wrong. What you pay for this place is a steal! Every single thing about it is charming, romantic, quaint and amazing. Upon arrival, you have a wine bottle of your choice and a cheese board waiting for you. So, immediately you are like "wow this is awesome!". You also have complimentary breakfast delivered to you at your door each day you stay. And this is not some crummy breakfast, it's like a full spread of goodies. So the food included is an A+. You also have wonderful amenities like a huge bed (realized I need these beds in my next home), two person tub and private patio. This place is beyond lovely and if you haven't been yet, you should go. And go often. This is a small business totally worth supporting! We will be back soon!

What a wonderful get away! Another successful and magical time at Seven Oaks! From the wine and cheese platter awaiting us to Candi delivering breakfast to us on the porch with great conversation ... it was amazing! Love that we can enjoy this beautiful lake town and all the activities but come back and relax to this little slice of heaven! Thanks again!

Greeted with a wine and cheese platter and relaxing music filling our cottage.

Our neighbors recommended Seven Oaks Cottages in Lake Geneva and it really exceeded our expectations. They really thought I'd everything! They had a breakfast picnic basket placed in our frig daily with more food than we could eat. A great combination of sweet treats, a protein, healthy yogurts, and fruit. A cheese and cracker tray with beverage of your choice was waiting for us on our first day. It is in a lovely tranquil area away from the hub bub of downtown Lake Geneva, but we were still able to walk there if we didn't want to drive. It was extremely clean and everything looked brand new with lovely decor. We liked sitting outside with a cocktail before or after dinner. We even saw a deer from out bedroom window. It was a little pricey, but worth every penny. You really felt like you were away on vacation!

It's very rustic and charming inside this place and very speakeasy. The hostess and the servers definitely are playing a role. For dinner, we started with the cheese curds and bruschetta flight. Both were quick and a perfect start. For the entrees, we ordered the NY Strip and Lobster Ravioli and also a creamed spinach side. All in all, food was good. For an older home it was very nice. You park on one side of the lot as the other is for guests. Outside in the front yard was spots for pictures as we went around Halloween. The selection was decent. Cold salad items and peel and eat shrimp. Sweet side with small cakes, chocolate eclairs, etc. The hot bar had beef, bacon, sausages, eggs potatoes and some other items. You can order eggs Benedict with the waitresses which was delicious. A true mimosa breakfast, I will return when I go back.

We had a wonderful evening and breakfast at the TC Smith historic Inn. These days, classic B&B's are harder and harder to find. This one is the real deal! We had a lovely private bedroom, and a spacious private bath complete with whirlpool tub and shower. The owner, Maureen, is a real sweetheart! She knew that it was my wife's birthday, so she had fresh cut flowers and balloons in our room. That was a nice touch and very unexpected! We were her only guests that evening, so we had Maureen all to ourselves the following morning at breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade pastries and multiple courses. I agree with another reviewer - Maureen knows the true meaning of "Hospitality". What a treat! Did I mention she is a sweetheart? I've read some other negative reviews about issues with dogs, clutter, etc... We experienced NONE of that. If you're looking for a "modern" or "contemporary" stay, book an airbnb. It's from the 1800s and it's in amazing condition considering that age. If you don't want all that goes with staying in a cool historical building, get a room at the Hilton and call it a day. Okay, rant over. Now the good stuff. We stayed in the veranda suite for a long weekend and it was WONDERFUL. The room is lined almost entirely in bookcases with cool old books to be perused and enjoyed. Upon check-in the man who greeted us and provided our key was the sweetest of guys and the rest of the weekend we were left in peace. No intrusive keepers here! We were greeted by a small basket of fresh local apples when we arrived and while it's a small gesture, it was well appreciated (there was a rosy apple with pink flesh in the mix that I'm newly obsessed with). There was a coffee/tea station outside our room, wine glasses to be used at our leisure, silverware, fridges in the room and outside of it for our restaurant leftovers, and a wet bar in the room itself. Amenities were few but thoughtful. And honestly I appreciated not having a ton of unnecessary bells and whistles. Ultimate highlight besides the cool library vibe: THE VIEW. the room comes with its own private porch with table, chairs, and porch swing where you can look right out onto Lake Geneva. No buildings stand in the way. You're right there on the lake. Very romantic with a bottle of wine and the fall rain we had while visiting. Definitely a deal maker. Location! We were walking distance to everything good. You're mere steps away from the harbor, restaurants, and the downtown. We walked everywhere with ease. The keepers of the villa offer free parking, as well. No parking hassles at all!! The only things i didn't *love* about the place were the size of our shower (way too small, I bumped my elbows constantly) and there is a moderate amount of noise from people walking upstairs from you (old house floorboards, after all). That being said, what you get with the Inn far outweighs those minor inconveniences. I'd definitely stay here again.

Disappointing stay at Bella Vista…read more I was really looking forward to a peaceful and relaxing stay at Bella Vista Suites, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. When I arrived, the bathroom sink had a drippy faucet and was full of dirty, standing water. I had to call twice to get it addressed. The TV in my room didn't work, and when I called the front desk for help that evening, no one answered. The next morning at 6:30am, I called again and was told to bring the remote down to the desk to see if the issue was just the batteries--at 6:30 in the morning, no less. I shouldn't be trouble shooting when I am paying for the room. I told the front desk that the remote worked fine on the other TV in the suite, so that clearly wasn't the problem. I left for breakfast, expecting it would be resolved, but when I returned, the TV still wasn't fixed and there was fresh standing water in the sink. To add to the poor experience, a sleeper sofa was propped up on its end in the hallway outside my room the entire time I was there. I had to walk past the exposed bottom of a piece of furniture every time I came or went. There was also trash bagged in plastic grocery bags left sitting on a random coffee table in the hallway--just not what you expect from a hotel at this price point. No gesture of goodwill or rate adjustment was offered despite multiple issues and inconveniences. Bella Vista Suites has a lovely location and a lot of potential, but the condition of the room and lack of responsiveness from staff made my stay disappointing. I hope management takes steps to improve both service and upkeep.
