Decided to stop in while walking through downtown Wheaton. Cute place! They have various options for tasting. I tried the red and white. Overall I liked 4/6 in my flight. They served my 3 whites and when I was finished, they brought my red. My boyfriend has the rose flight which was the special for May. He enjoyed 2/3 of his tastings. Staff was super friendly and checked on us frequently. Prices were very reasonable for both tasting and bottles. I did not purchase any bottles on this visit. I've been coming here for forever with my family it seems like. Staff is always amazing and accommodating. The place isn't huge but it's so homey. With wines they have something for everyone. I'm a sweet fan so I always go for the fruit wines. My family loves the warm wines they have through the cold season. I also love that they sell little charcuterie plates for the table. I've had nothing but great experiences at Tasting Devine. The employees are super friendly and provide excellent service! I came here with my boyfriend tonight and we ordered the sweet wine flights. The wine served here is from Lynfred Winery- our local favorite! The sweet flights for tonight included their Oktoberfest, Sangria Blanc, Sangria Rouge, Cherry, Raspberry, and Peach. All wines are incredible! It was a nice combination of whites and reds, and if you're into sweet wine, you will not be disappointed! The atmosphere here is super relaxing and they have very comfortable seating arrangements. We sat in their booth area and enjoyed the live music. This is the perfect little spot to hangout at in downtown Wheaton, especially if you decide to eat at one of the restaurants, which are walking distance. We had reservations at an Italian restaurant down the street (Sogno). It was nice to be able to hangout here and enjoy a tasting before dinner. I highly recommend Tasting Devine! read more

I was drawn to this place due to its cute calming vibe and obviously wine selection. I decided to stop by to do a wine taste. Unfortunately, I got too late but the host let me sample three sweet wines. I decided to purchase the white sangria. It was delicious and light to the taste. The host also shared a sample of their frozen wine and it was delicious! I'm definitely returning to try their frozen wines especially for those hot summer days. From the Wheaton Central High School Class of 1974, much thanks and kudos to Amanda and her staff at Tasting DeVine in Wheaton, along with Ryan Wiedner of Pollyanna Brewery in St. Charles. We had a weekend full of activities planned for our 50th High School Reunion September 13-15, 2024, and a Wine & Beer Tasting was held at Tasting Devine on Friday, September 13th. Amanda let us set up early that morning on her front patio so we could distribute our class apparel and at 2:00pm 45 of our classmates began arriving for the tasting event. This was one of the top selling events that we offered for the weekend and the responses we received both during and after were all positive. Everyone loved the intimacy of the event and having a nice ice-breaker before meeting others from our class that evening in downtown Wheaton. The event was supposed to end at 4:00, but some hung around until 5:00 or after as they were thoroughly enjoying themselves so much. All of those that attended said that they would like a repeat for every reunion we have going forward. Downtown Wheaton's wine spot. Wide variety of tastings. They have a tasting menu to choose your favorites. Wine sold by bottle and glass, they're are from Lynfred Winery. On a warm summer day there's nothing better than a wine slushy. The flavors change weekly to my understanding. I had a raspberry wine slushy that was divine! Outdoor seating is across from the train station so a bit noisy. The bar keep was helpful and knowledgeable in helping to guide you to the perfect selection. Parking is a bit of a challenge since there are many restaurants and shops in that downtown location. read more

Great wines, even greater staff! My hubby and I are members of the Lynfred wine club in Roselle, which allows us membership benefits at the winery's Tasting Devine locations as well. What I like best about Tasting Devine is that they have different options for tastings, such as Sweet Flight, Reds only, Whites only, Pick 4, or a Tasting of 7. At Lynfred, there's only a choice for seven tastings plus one premium as an add-on. Plus, the tastings at Tasting Devine are on an "honor system" as far as how many tastings you have left, which is really nice (and can be really tempting!!). Tasting Devine is cute. It fits right in with it's boutique surroundings in downtown Wheaton. I would say that it's a lot like a Starbucks. There's a lot of wine stuff for sale, a counter for ordering, and small tables for relaxing with a nice glass. My party of four went for a scheduled wine tasting. We sat at small table (too small for all of us, but we didn't mind). A lady brought us pieces of paper with the descriptions of their wines and explained that the tastings begin with the white wines on top and move through to the reds. She also gave us a plate of dried bread pieces for palette cleansers. Glasses were brought for the white wines and then were refilled three more times until the whites were finished. New glasses were brought for the reds and refilled for each tasting after that. All together we tried eight wines. Three different employees served us, each introducing their wines as they poured and then left us to drink. They really did not do a good job of explaining wine to us. Most of our knowledge came from reading the descriptions on the paper. The staff were friendly and a little casual. They turned off the ceiling fans when they saw that I was cold. I suppose they just weren't very talkative about their wines. They also didn't pressure us to buy anything whatsoever. We paid an additional $3.50 each to try a special cherry wine which we all believed to be the best. In fact, we all agreed that their fruit wines were amazing. The rest of the wines had mixed reactions. We also agreed that the wines were insanely expensive. The prices ranged from about $15 to $35. Most of them were about $22. There are definitely other good wines available for less, but we bought two of our favorites and a large jar of cranberry horseradish mustard. There were many people standing at the bar and tasting wine. I felt bad for them because there weren't any bar stools and there definitely wasn't enough seating area for everyone. read more

Tasting Devine, you are my favorite place to relax with wine. They have a few outdoor tables and plenty of indoor seating. I love to sit outside on a nice day, taste some wine, and enjoy a cheese plate. The service is friendly and the wines are great. I only wish they offered other food options. Hubby and I visited on Monday evening and had a wonderful time. Dick took great care of us and spent alot of time explaining the nuances of their wines. The decor was old world and they sold lots of cute wine/gift items. The wines were on the dryer side which we liked. They werent amazing but several of the tastings were great. Let me start by saying Tasting Devine once was a 5-star establishment all the way. Back when their tastings cost $5 and the staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. I've been back to see the price of tastings soar to $9 which is fine as long as it is twice as good as the previous tastings. It's not. The quality of Lynfred wines is unfortunately what you'd expect for Illinois winery. Some of the wines are good and some go immediately into the spit bucket. The place is always too crowded and they could benefit from more seating and wine tchotchke. There was a time when an employee would run over to Graham's chocolates and get dark chocolates to go with the red wine for the people in shop. The service now is curt and borders on rude. I know you're busy but this is your job at least pretend to be happy. I asked a woman behind the bar about a wine and she directed me to the 2 sentence description on the tasting sheet (I can read I was looking for additional info). I think Tasting Devine may have fallen victim to its own success. read more

I was really looking forward to a wine tasting here with a group of friends. I love going to wine tastings and being able to sample different wines and compare notes to see who liked what and just hopefully fall in love with a new-to-me wine. Sadly this was not the case at Tasting Devine. First, I hated all of the wines we got to sample. Am I the only one who thinks Lynfred wines are over-rated? Because I hated every sample, I was hoping to purchase a glass of their sparkling wine--because that is usually harder to mess up. Sorry, they weren't offering any sparkling wine. Probably the first tasting room I've ever visited where there's no sparkling wine on the menu. Also, our hostess was just odd. There was no excitement for the wine, she didn't try to engage us at all. And I didn't appreciate how she looked right at me and told me that this Sauvignon Blanc pairs perfectly with Asian food. Why did you look at me? what if I hated Asian food? Redeeming factor? Cute place and really good cheese tray. I've enjoyed better wine tasting events at Whole Foods where the wines are more diverse and the marketing folks love to talk to you and know a lot more about wine. read more

I just got home from a wonderful afternoon at Tasting Devine. My man and I went there hoping to relax, chat, and try some new wines. The service was great, friendly, and helpful with all of our questions. The deal is 7 wines for 9 dollars. It was quite a bit of wine and a little over an hour and a half. The wines were good, the place was clean, and we felt comfortable to talk and enjoy our time there. When we arrived, the place was a little empty and we got a nice spot at a round table by the window. Despite the snow storm, it was a bright sunny day. Perfect for sitting beside a big clean window. It was such a positive experience that we are considering becoming members, but if not, at least going back very soon for another tasting! A friend had recommended this place so we stopped here for a drink before going to see a performance at the theater down the block. I am so glad we did! While the space itself is not that big they way everything is laid out leaves plenty of room to get around and sit and enjoy your wine. I enjoy sitting in a quiet, comfortable place and trying wines with my wine lover friends. They even have me trying the red wines! They are very generous with their samples and very informative. Came here with a group of friends after one of them won a free wine tasting for 10. I was pleasantly surprised to find how small, but cozy, the place was. I have to admit though, the place was a bit crowded, but luckily, my friends and I were able to be seated in one of only 2 areas to sit. If I got stuck standing in front of the counter, like allot of the people, I don't know what I would have done, probably peed my pants from standing all day. I do a good amount of wine drinking, usually with my dinners, but wine tasting still gives me a buzz. Good thing my friends and I were sitting down throughout the whole wine tasting. My friends and I were there for a good 2 hours and it was a nice change from your ordinary dinner and movie. I thought the staff was very friendly and accommodating. At the time, there were only 3 people working on a busy Friday night and they still took the time to greet you with a smile. For only $5 you can order a small plate of grapes, sausages and cheese, perfect enough for one person and to compliment the different wines. Or for $10, you can get the large plate sample with a large bowl of assorted nuts, fresh grapes, sausages and assorted cheeses. I thought the $10 plate was a great deal as I shared this with four or five of the people I sat closest too (see pictures). It was honestly a perfect compliment to our wine tasting. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our night out at this place. Although the place was crowded and there were limited seating, especially at the bar, if you and your friends are lucky enough to seats, then you and your friends will have a good time. All of the wines are from Lynfred Winery in Roselle, and were all very delicious. This is a great non-intimidating atmosphere to learn about and sample Lynfred wines. Walked in for their $9 wine tasting that included 7 wines (3 whites, 3 reds, and one dessert) and a small plate of bread. For $5 you can get a plate of cheese and fruits. We sat at one of the tiny barrel top tables which I thought were cute but the grapes paraphernalia was a bit overboard (from bunches of grapes lit up to the grape booth backboard to the stain glass grape lamps). It's definitely a small town feel. The man that helped us was more than patient, informative, and hilarious all at the same time. He even helped us out with our weekend plans by telling us about an Oktoberfest that Lynfred Winery hosts during the last weekend of September (pig roast + grape stomping=fall fun!). read more

I really want to like Tasting Devine- but there's really nothing devine about the place. The atmosphere is cold, nothing very inviting. They have a lot of gifts, which is nice, but I wouldn't make the trip to just for that.. They do wine tasting of their Lynfred Wines - it's about $7 for about 7 pours. You stand at the bar while tasting- which is very uncomfortable, especially if you plan on hanging around for a while. And - to be honest, there is nothing special about their wines. I drink wine a lot, I'm not a wine snob by any means..but, unfortunately, I have never found a wine that I like at Tasting Devine. Service: meh.. nothing special. There hasn't been a time when someone has actually gone out of their way to make the experience more enjoyable. Also, you can order snacks while you sip a glass .. but you'd be better off having a drink/appetizer at Cellar Bistro down the street. I would recommend taking the trip to Roselle and visiting the winery though..again, not for the wine, but it's a pretty good tour. read more

The wine selection is good from moderately serious reds to sweet wines. this is great place for people trying to find what they really like. the grapes aren't local but the wine is. we come in a least once month with our 5 year old who likes the cheese platter and the staff is great with him. most of the staff know the wines well and the ones that don't are always will to go find out for you. read more

This is a perfectly nice little suburban wine shop, complete with wine- and grape-themed kitsch and a vast collection of non-grape wines. The wines including in the tasting were on par with the atmosphere - not terribly impressive but suitable enough for a casual outing. The most egregious mistakes of this place are in its tasting accompaniments. I ordered the cheese & fruit plate, expecting a few artisan cheeses (goat, brie, sharp irish cheddar); what I was given was a plastic to-go container with cubes of Kraft-y cheddar, colby jack, and pepper jack cheese with a few pathetic grapes tucked in the corner. Pepper jack cheese at a tasting? That hardly makes sense. Not to mention the lack of a real plate. Beyond that, the complimentary bread was a multigrain sandwich bread you might find on the shelves at Target, cut up into bite-size pieces. It was both confounding and embarrassing. read more

This location is connected with Lynfred Winery. So wines are the same as other locations and I have said how I feel about them there (I like most of them, especially the fruit and dessert wines). This location has some great employees who are extremely nice. A small outside seating area only food is small cheese plates but what more do you need with wine right. I got a wine tasting certificate at an auction for my school. I thought it would be fun. I was right. I went with my daughter, Yvonne, her friend Melinda, and every body's friend Scott. The certificate was for up to 10 people. I had invited more, but some couldn't make it. Their loss. Tasting DeVine is a storefront tasting room for the local winery Lynnfred Winery. They import grapes from all over the country to produce fine wines. We tasted 6 wines and a Cherry Sherry. There were three white wines, which were good, especially if white wine is what you prefer. I preferred the reds. The Cherry Sherry was really good. A wonderful desert in itself. The staff served us promptly and efficiently. We never had to wait long for the next variety to taste. Yvonne was feeling a little ill, so I had to finish her wine often. I am thankful that I was not driving. By the end Yvonne was feeling a little better and everyone was fairly happy. Melinda purchased a bottle of the Cherry Sherry, and was shocked at the price, especially compared to the size of the bottle. It was a little expensive. Good thing it tastes so good. Tasting DeVine is a fun experience for a small group of people. It is a little expensive, but the wines are top notch. read more

I love Lynfred wines!!! It has become my new obsession. When I found out that they had a tasting room (that stayed open longer than their winery) I knew I needed to stop by. The tasting room is really cute with some small tables set up as well as a gift shop. We were able to snag a table and a hostess came up to us right away and started our tasting. She didn't mention swapping any of the wines out (you can do this at the winery) so I am not sure if it was an option. Since we didn't ask, we just ended up skipping one of the reds altogether. We were also given a few cubes of bread which was nice to soak up the alcohol. We visited right after Christmas so all of their ornaments were also on sale. The wines have greatly improved over the years and are generally very enjoyable.
