Eggs Benedict
Deborah W.

Had the best time. We met our friends there who live in PA, as we were just visiting. Had breakfast. We started out with Bloody Mary's. For a diner, they were excellent. Being we hadn't seen our friends for a while, we asked our waiter to give us some time. When we ordered, everything came out perfect. I had an egg on a croissant with bacon and cheese, friend had eggs Benedict with home fries on bread, husband had eggs, bacon and home fries and really not sure what my friend had Our service was stellar and the food was excellent. Highly recommend this dinner if you are in the area

strawberry sangria drink
Critique U.

My food tasted good, however, there were a few things wrong. I ordered the Patty Melt, and asked if they would exchange the Rye bread for Wheat bread - they didn't! Also, I ordered a mixed drink, it was made well, but the strawberry that they put on the side of the glass was rotten! And last but not least, the place had a bad smell - like mold or a stinky sewer system...Other than that it was okay. I would recommend this place and will probably go back!

Potato Cake Benedict

I can't believe I've been to this place 5 times and not written a review. To be honest, it's never my choice to come here but my kids love it so I go along for the ride. It's a diner (obviously) and they do a decent job. The service is always good. The prices are good (especially for me coming from California). This place is the type of place where I would kind of forget about. Decent food, good service, good prices--just your average diner. Nothing special.

Cuban Hot Dog

The cool chrome/glass/LED lighting caught our attention as we drove past on an evening. We were staying in the Lancaster area. We were looking for a place and found it! Classic music for a diner of that era look was being played. The food portions were large and delicious. I had a Cuban hotdog. It was enormous and unique. My wife said the Belgian waffle would've been excellent by itself. Add to it the toppings and it was fantastic. You'll have to go check it out. Our server was new and yet still incredibly helpful, professional, friendly, and honest. We liked it so much we brought our family back the next day after an archery tournament at Spooky Nook. My biggest problem with it was that there is not one where I live four hours away! Whenever in Lancaster we will go back! Oh yeah, and it's open 24/7.

Tuscan ravioli
Indiasky B.

Easy to find location with ample parking. Staff seemed tired. I ordered the new Tuscan ravioli with creamy sauce toppped with dry tomatoes and fresh spinach. Plating was beautiful! The ravioli's weren't salted, bland. When you bit into a dry tomato that gave this dish flavor, I did have to add salt and pepper. The garlic toast didn't taste buttery and garlicky nor tasted like olive oil. Instead I got a mouthful of rancid burnt oil taste. This came with a lovely garden salad that had grape tomatoes, red onions, hard eggs lettuce and croutons. The potatoe soup was served warm. I had to ask for a hotter temp. Also, the bowl was chipped! Shortly after leaving I got nausea. Don't think I'll ever stop in again.

THE FOOD AND SERVICE HERE IS AMAZING!!! You can't go wrong! Great for large groups and a huge menu to choose from. It's very clean which also says a lot.

Bleu mushroom burger
Martha C.

Good diner food with generous portions. I got a burger with sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, and bleu cheese crumbles. Quick seating and attentive service. Party of five and everything was correctly served as ordered. We were able to get individual checks also. All day breakfast available. Well lit, clean and average noise level. Plenty of disabled parking in front. No deets on restrooms. Definitely will revisit when in the area.

Southwest Breakfast burrito

First time dining here today and I was impressed with the menu options and how good everything was. Service was quick and on point. Also very spacious and can sit a lot of people. It was a busy Sunday morning at brunch time and we got in with a ten minute wait. Def recommend!

Delicious, well-priced food. Salads are huge and have a lot of toppings. Service is excellent. Typical diner setting.

Such a great food find in Lancaster!…read more Friendly crew here! Lots of hellos and the fun Route 66 decor is very welcoming. They have several tables and lots of different options on their menu! Casual shop with brisk business. Walk in, order, and pay. When your food is ready, they call out your order. Everything is made fresh and the prices are actually very reasonable for the quality of food. My cole slaw in the Nashville fried chicken was very fresh and delicious. Fries were fresh, and perfectly seasoned with salt. All their burgers and sandwiches have the Route 66 sauce. Don't skip it, if it's served with it, just go with the flow! Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich $8.49 Double cheeseburger $8.99 Fried chicken tikka masala sandwich $8.99 Large home cut fries $5.99 They take credit cards. Can't wait to come back!

Not much seating, but the food is WORTH IT! Don't know what to get? Chicken Tandoori Cheesesteak. Trust us and enjoy. 5 star sandwich. Introduction:…read more Representing 2018 in alphabet series, O is for On Orange. The letter O only has 5 of the 8 possible years represented in the alphabet series. Interestingly, 2 of them are in Lancaster County, PA. This was prior to my parents moving to Lancaster in 2021. In March 2018, my girlfriend of that time & I took a day trip to Lancaster. I lived in Montgomery County, Maryland (near DC) at the time, and we were meeting up with a friend who was living in New Jersey kind of in the middle. We agreed to meet at On Orange at 12 PM on that Sunday, March 25 since we were driving from far away, and I think they were doing a day trip too, but possible they stayed a night in town, not sure. Also, On Orange closes at 1 PM too, so even more reason to be punctual. My g/f of then was notoriously late & took a long time to get ready. She was taking too long to get ready, and I knew we needed to leave if we even had a chance of making it on time. After a while I said I don't want to do this, but I will leave without you & meet my friend (& his girlfriend). I started the car and texted you have 1 minute to come out, and if you aren't out, I'm leaving without you. My timer reached 0, and I slowly was driving off, but I saw her shuffling with her coat and what have you leaving, so I waited. We got in the car, and I rushed off. If that weren't bad enough, my g/f said we needed to stop at her bank to get cash. Of course, there was none right within route, but saw a location right off I-83 in northern MD, Hunt Valley, but we wasted more time to get off the freeway, for her to go to her ATM, & get back on the freeway when we were running significantly late. I said we are running significantly late as it is, so why are we wasting more time. She claimed in case there was something she wanted to buy in Lancaster, but that was not the primary purpose, but I'll get to that at the end. I was panicking on the significant late, and that the restaurant closes at 1, and I drove above 100 mph at times on I-70, which I think was the only time I've ever gone that fast on 70, and maybe only 4 times ever in my life reaching that speed. Experience with the Restaurant: This is street parking around here, which was free meters on Sunday. We got a decent parking spot a block away. We walked in at 12:50 PM, which was 50 minutes LATE and 10 minutes before On Orange's closing time of 1 PM. My friend & his girlfriend were already done eating. He said that they had their stomach set for eating at 12, and there was pressure to order since it's not a huge place and pretty busy. I was annoyed with my friend for not waiting for us, but I get it because let's be honest, my g/f fault on that one. Server was cordial, and my g/f & I quickly ordered. Food came out quickly. We ate quickly, and my friend & his g/f watching us eat. Food was delicious, and they were quick, but to be fair, they were closing in 10 minutes, so they were motivated to get out of there. I got a pancake & egg dish as I recall. This was a top notch brunch. In spite of the negative experience of being so late because of my g/f, the experience at the restaurant was excellent. Conclusion: After brunch, we looked around downtown, Amish Farm (see my 5-star review of them written in April 2018), etc. and was overall a nice day with the 3 of them albeit very cold. After we left, I took the back road from I-83 all the way back to Germantown, MD where she lived to see something different and to save a little gas too since it's pretty direct going that way. My g/f was complaining about it taking so long getting back. I knew she was meeting up with a friend that night. But what I later realized, she wanted to stop at an ATM that morning really because she needed cash to pay that friend for cannabis that night. So, she disrespected everyone's time for this. I guess on a positive at least she wasn't cheating on me with that guy and really was just for pot. In conclusion, I thought On Orange was top notch, and they were accommodating to our time schedules.

Gracie's Breakfast delivers a hearty, well-balanced meal that hits every savory and sweet craving…read more  The main dish features two fresh, cage-free local eggs cooked sunny-side up with vibrant, velvety yolks. They're paired with savory, thick-cut Irish bacon and a generous portion of house-made potato rounds, seasoned well with a great crisp on the outside while staying soft inside.  The bread selection really sets this meal apart. You get perfectly toasted sourdough with house-made apple butter on the side, plus a slice of grilled banana nut bread. The banana bread has a light dusting of powdered sugar and is served warm with a generous dollop of whipped cinnamon butter that melts right in.  To top it off, the iced pumpkin spice latte served in a glass jar is beautifully spiced and creamy without being overly sweet--a perfect pairing for a rich morning meal.
