Awesome place. Great vibez. Friendly bartender and bouncer. Drinks were super cheap for 2022, heck they're super cheap for 2000. And they were made strong. I ordered two rum & pineapples. Great patio space with potato vines and ambient lights. Didn't even get to the arcade machines inside. Definitely recommended! Five stars!

Very well maintained Pinball machines and a few newer releases. Great selection of beer, only a few drafts. Lots of food options if you want a legit meal or just get snacks. Inside is a little intimate but lots of seating outside. All Pinball machines except for a 4 player Xmen game. They do tabs with your credit card. Just beware it hangs from a clothespin for all to see. I get that it's efficient for them but a little discretion please. Games take quarters. There is a coin change machine. The bartenders can break bills for you. Would come back but not do a tab.

Pretty cool local spot. Wanted something more low key before enjoying a fancy dinner and it didn't disappoint. It appeared to be bad service only. I grabbed a spot at the bar but people sitting at tables on the patio or inside kept coming in to get drinks. Service was prompt, a little reserved, but fine by me. They had a great selection of beers and also ciders which was huge for me as a non-beer drinker. They also have pinball and stuff for people to play. Probably not worth going out of your way to visit but a great little spot to pop in

What a great place! I was in Columbia heights to venture to my favorite Cuban spot. But to my misfortune on a Tuesday it was closed! Quickly did I have to find alternate plans as I was starving. I don't recall there being a sign outside. But both times I walked passed that block it was busy. Yelp already made me aware it was a dive bar. I never discredit such places because many happen to be gems when it comes to their cuisine. This place happened to be one of them. Although it's primarily all bar food. Everything has a twist and it's not your average fast food. For example the sliders are not just simple burgers with cheese. I had one with blue cheese. It was spectacular. They also offers some sort of slushy. It was my understanding that whatever they make varies. What they offered that evening was fantastic!!! Crappy thing is this place is far from the metro! But there are various buses that pass by right upfront. Definitely will be back to try some other menu items! Bartender was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Overall a very chill and relaxing place to be after a long days work.

Dinner at San Matteo, yes please and thank you!…read more Good food and service was memorable adding San Matteo to the list of favorites. The front patio is cute and a nice spot to sit on a nice day. We entered the restaurant, pasted the bar and made our way to the back. We were pleasantly surprised with a nice outdoor feeling to dine at. We were immediately greeted by our waiter, given water and warm bread with olive oil. To kick off our meal everyone had different ideas of what they were craving so we went with three starters. PROSCIUTTO E MOZZARELLA for one. It that had the usual meat and cheese board with nuts, mini bread crackers and jam. I liked how pistachio pieces were found in the meats and cheese. [5/5] BEEF CARPACCIO which is a family favorite of ours was a must try. The tender slices of beef with arugula, with sliced capers and celery. It reminded us of our trips to Italy. [5/5] FRITTO MISTO came next. This mixed lite battered bowl of seafood goodness with a little spice delight. It had calamari, fish, shrimp, garlic, zucchini and chilies. I really liked how the batter was lite which says a lot because I love really crispy anything. [ 5/5] On to the main courses, we proceeded with different pasta noodle dishes. BUCATINI BOLOGNESE one of my favorite pasta noodles was my selection. The noodles were al dente and the sauce and meat were excellent. [5/5] PAPPARDELLE CINGHIALE was my husband's pick. The pappardelle noodles were al dente and nicely accompanied the meat with the tasty sauce. Topped with ricotta; the dish was full of flavor. [5/5] CHICKEN ALFREDO was the last pick. Not an authentic Italian dish; however, hats off to the chef for making this for our picky eater in the family. The sauce was creamy and delicious. Noodles were cooked perfectly. [5/5] Surprisingly we had just enough room for a sweet ending - an Affogato. Whoaza! The espresso was yummy; put some hair on our picky eater's chest. It had a hint of licorice flavor that was unique. Let's not forget the San Matteo Spritz. Smoky and highly enjoyable. I loved it and will order again when I return. Overall, San Matteo hit all the check boxes for our lovely family dinner. The staff were attentive and never left us wanting more water, food or waiting long. The food was tasty. It seems upscale with a casual feel. Some people were dressed for date night while others were having a casual meal with family or friends. The seating options of areas were all unique in its own way. Front patio for a nice day, from the front indoor dining area for maybe a more intimate feel, bar and table top area for a drink and appetizer going solo or with a friend; and lastly the back dining area for a a bigger group to enjoy your meal. Mixing up the dining options that suits you. I'll be back to try other dishes.

The food was good and large portions! I think it's a good spot for an Italian dinner that feels authentic, or for drinks. My friends ordered the garlic Parmesan wings, bbq wings, old bay fries and salmon sliders and I didn't hear one bad review. All of the staff was friendly (ask for Bre she'll take care of you). Both DJs were a vibe and definitely had me and friends there way longer than we anticipated. The only reason I took away a star is because the air conditioner didn't seem to be working. Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. Like I said, I understand that's a hard thing to control but it may be something to be mindful of if you've got anywhere you need to go after. Overall though, totally in love with the laid back vibes here and would definitely return.

Yelp helps me to discover this place, and even though there was no happy hour at the time, it was a nice stop. The menu is primarily mexican, but I see some Salvadorian on there too (mainly pupusas). I didn't see an option for single tacos, so I opted for just one loroco pupusa. The event I was going to was food, so I wanted to keep it light. I wanted to try a drink too, and just opted for a regular margarita. When I was given the option of either a regular or a large, I had to go with the latter. The margarita came in one of those delightful chalices, and I got a tajin rim. The pupusa was delicious, but this was one of the few times I had to eat it with a knife and fork because it was so hot, and a sauce made it kind of messy. It was great otherwise! It was the perfect amount of food for me at the time. While I was there, a few parties came through and mainly sat outside. I was the only one inside, and the staff were lovely.
