My mom and I flew in from out of state to meet my new nephew, and I wanted to treat my exhausted sister‑in‑law to a relaxing manicure/pedicure after months of caring for a newborn and toddler. We clearly requested the upgraded pedicure for all three of us, along with specific polish choices. My mom and I received the upgraded service, but my sister‑in‑law did not. They even began applying gel polish to her toes--despite her clearly stating she wanted regular, non‑gel polish--and she had to stop them. After that, she was given only the basic pedicure instead of the upgraded one we had all agreed on. Mistakes happen, and I approached the owner privately and respectfully because I didn't want to embarrass my sister‑in‑law. Unfortunately, the owner's response is what truly ruined the experience. Instead of acknowledging the miscommunication, she repeatedly blamed my sister‑in‑law and insisted she had chosen the basic pedicure, which was simply untrue. Even after the technician clarified that the confusion came from misunderstanding the word "regular" (regular polish, not a basic pedicure), the owner still refused to take responsibility. What made the situation significantly worse was how the owner then walked over to my sister‑in‑law--who had no idea I had even raised the concern--and confronted her in a noticeably aggressive, defensive manner. She tried to convince my sister‑in‑law that I was upset for no reason and that she had chosen the basic service, which was manipulative, uncomfortable, and completely unprofessional. I had specifically tried to handle the matter discreetly to avoid stressing her, and the owner's behavior did the opposite. The technicians were kind and the salon itself is nice, but the owner's handling of the situation overshadowed everything. A sincere apology and acknowledgment of the miscommunication would have resolved this. I came here for a morning of relaxation with a few friends and one of their mom. We had an appointment set for 10 am and I was scheduled to get a pedicure and a new dip set. I ran 8 minutes late due to a small family hiccup. When I walked in, I was NOT greeted by a single soul. No one asked me what service I wanted or what colors to look for. If not for me talking to my friend and her speaking up about me being in her reservation, I'm 100% sure no one would have spoken to me. After waiting around for roughly 25-30 minutes, I sat down to get my pedicure first. The technician who serviced me was great. She was in the back when I arrived, so naturally she assumed I already picked a color. She was shocked when I told her I never received a pallet to look at. She apologized, grabbed all the colors she could, and got me a sprite as well. I began to notice that other women (who came in after me) were being sat to get their nails done. I figured they would do my nails towards the end of my pedicure. HOWEVER, my friend's mom showed up without an appointment, sat next to me in a pedicure chair (without getting a pedicure), and was serviced by a willing technician immediately. Mom's nail tech was young, loud, gum smacking, and clearly annoyed to be there. She maintained this attitude for the duration of our time there. All and all, no one ever came to do my nails. Even after it was pointed out by my friend to her tech. I was told to wait and someone was coming. The tech made a statement in her native language and pointed to me. I had some hope, so I waited. I waited 32 minutes AFTER my pedicure for someone to start my nails, and no one came. In fact, techs went out of their way to appear busy until another customer walked in the door. Then they would sit them down to do their nails. For 32 minutes my friends and I watched this happen. I grabbed my shoes and wallet to pay, a tech yelled something out loud, then SUDDENLY a woman comes rushing from the back with a cart and quickly asking what color I picked. I politely told her it was fine and that I would pass on getting my nails done at this time. She fussed at me a little saying she was there to do my nails now. I politely declined and said it would take too long. By this point, it was 12:58 and all I had to show for it was a 65 minute pedi. I had been there since 10:08. The tech wouldn't even look at me. She huffed, grabbed her cart and rushed off while throwing one hand in the air and yelling something out loud. I chuckled and went to speak with my friends and mom (young tech moved her to a regular station) as they wrapped up their appointments. They all asked me what happened with my nails, and I told them quietly and with a smile. The young tech decided to jump in the conversation saying that everyone who came through the door had appointments. I asked her if they were all before my 10 am appointment, her response was that they're all under staffed. Excuses for what was truly happening. She hadn't spoken to me the entire time I was there until that moment. She then proceeded to tell my friend's mom that it was her nails' fault that her dip was on so thick and that if she shaped it any thinner she'd be back next week crying to get it fixed. This girl was RUDE. My friend's tech began to talk to my friend about how I refused to wait to get my nails done and that I'm clearly upset. But someone was willing to do my nails, I just wouldn't wait. She spoke to her as if my friend was my mother and I wasn't standing right there. She didn't even look at me or acknowledge me. When asked why she was talking to her and not me, she said because the appointment was under said friend's name and she thought she was paying for me (not anyone else in our reservation party). She assumed I didn't even have the money to pay for my appointment. I immediately said I was ready to pay and stood at the counter to ring out. Who was the only willing person to ring me out? My pedicure tech. I verified that her tip went to only her and left. I was the only black woman in this facility for roughly 3 hours on a Saturday. I was treated as such. I knew it within 10 minutes of being there, I just hate that my new friends and a mom got a front row seat to it. It was subtle, but it was evident. This place isn't for my kind. Update to review : 4 days after nails done and see the picture added. Terrible service. Using cuticle clippers that are not sanitized. Technician starts texting another client while I am sitting with half of my nails done. I asked if I should leave and come back when she was done on the phone and she said no that she just had to let her other client know how much she needed to pay for the service. Meanwhile the client that she is working on is sitting in front of her and waiting. When she finished, there was so much product under my nail bed and my nail she used a drill to try and remove it and cut my skin. Nails look horrible and they gave me a $5 discount. read more

This is the most consistent nail salon I've came across in the metroplex...even when you get a different nail tech. Everyone is very detail-oriented. They take their time and do it right. I never have any complaints, and I am very picky when it comes to my nails. My two favorites to get here are the Dip and the pedi's. The Dip never peels up, and the pedicures are very relaxing. Today I stopped in for a removal of acrylic ( done somewhere else) and a pedicure. The pedicure was basic nothing to write home about. My technician had a soft touch and didn't really get the ingrown nails out completely. The nail take off was great. The technicians (2 different people) worked on my hands and removed my set with little to no damage to my nail bed. (1st one was inexperienced prob does pedicures mainly, 2nd was very skilled and efficient) The issue came at the end . They attempted to charge me $20 to remove my nails. The normal price is $10( been to several local abs shops in dallas) . The last tech that worked on the completion of removing my nailed wrote $15. At no time did anyone say it would be $20. The owner tried to explain that it was because of the amount of work it takes it could be $15-20, and "the price of acetone & supplies is on the rise" When I asked to see a pricing chart she could not provide me a printed copy. Despite planning to return bi-weekly this will be only time I visit cause it's bad business. $15 is a bit excessive for nail removal but I would have paid it the $20 was a no go! prices should be properly displayed or explained if there is a expected increase. read more

A nicer interior nail spa than others I've been to in the immediate area and the prices are reasonable for a pedicure ranging I think 30+ depending on what you would want. I did one of the more basic with a few extras and the paint on my toenails have stayed really well these two weeks I've had them. I did a color change on my hands, not a manicure, but due to the shortness I keep my nails it wasn't as neat and didn't last as long so I ended up cleaning them off not long after the event I needed my nails painted for. Though the person doing my nails admitted doing them as short as I keep them was tough as they are used to folks keeping longer nails or adding length ... as well I keep mine Short for a reason so some knicks and such can occur but I was cleaning them up after two days which I expected to at least get 4 or 5 for price paid. Decor is a bit out-dated but the great prices ($25 for shellac) make up for it! Even the upgraded aloe vera pedicure is only $35. Original Post: I tried this salon for the first time today as a walk-in. Tim did my acrylic fill with gel polish so fast and efficient. He would check with me to make sure the tools weren't hurting me and if the length was what I wanted. Excellent customer service! Edit: I went back a month later and had a different nail tech. She repeatedly cut me with the file board and my acrylics looked terrible when she finished. Obviously upset, I asked for them to be taken off (I was going to just get them redone somewhere else later in the week). Instead, another nail tech came up to me and said she'd fix them and I agreed(she did a good job). However, the original nail tech whose name I didn't get, told me it was my fault my nails were messed up. I kid you not. My mouth was hanging open, I was so shocked. I have been getting my nails done consistently for 15 years and I have never received such rude customer service. I will not be returning for services here. read more
