I went to Jamie as I was looking for someone closer, and I'm so glad I did. She completely exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for the best sugaring experience in the area, look no further than Jamie at Your Body's ReTreat. She's known as the OG of the sugaring community, and after my appointment I completely understand why. My Brazilian was a flawless 100/100 experience from start to finish. Jamie is the perfect blend of professional and warm-she put me at ease immediately, kept things friendly and comfortable throughout, and made sure every detail was absolutely perfect before I left. You can tell she genuinely knows her craft inside and out. If you've been on the fence about trying sugaring, or you're searching for someone who truly masters it, Jamie is your person. I'll absolutely be back. Highly, highly recommend! read more

My wife and I have been going to Your Body's ReTreat for about 18 months. Every time we are greeted as if we were family. Jamie simply is the best. Professional. Sensitive to the client's needs. And highly efficient. Frankly, after Jaime, I don't think I would or could go to another Aesthetician. Highly reccomended. read more

It has been awhile since I have written a review about this place. I been going to this place for years. I had originally scheduled for April 1st to get my underarm and brazilian done. Guess I got my dates mixed up and arrived today, 1 week early. Jaime, the owner was avaliable and was able to fit me in despite my own date mix up. Jaime was able to get my underarm and brazilian done quick and somewhat painlessly. Dont get me wrong guys, you still do get some pain when doing a brazilian. However, Jaime was able to make it A LOT less painful. I had a few people ask me why I continued to do this over the past few years. To be honest, its to stay clean and it helps minimize body odor and to keep from getting swampy in the heat! If you are going to try to get rid of the hairs for the first time, its going to hurt regardless who does it. I would recommend Jaime do it for you to minimize that painful experience. After you do it a few times, the pain is not bad. read more

I went here Saturday to get a Brazilian sugaring & my upper legs for the 1st time. Jamie is very thorough in explaining exactly what she expects but most importantly what you should expect. She says she also gets sugared so she knows what it feels like so she can tell you which area is the most tender & so on. She is very professional & not one time did I ever feel embarrassed or uncomfortable in her facility. The sugaring itself is painful. However she explained to me that if you don't hydrate 2 days before hand w/water it could be more painful( I came in Starbucks in hand LOL). Also keeping up w/sugaring every 4 weeks softens the hair and it becomes less painful. We shall see. Also if you go in expecting this to be fast like a wax, it's not. Waxing is faster, but this is supposed to be better. read more

Melissa is amazing. She is very personable which creates a relaxed and comfortable setting. After my first appointment with her, I'll look no further and I'll go nowhere else. I highly recommend Melissa. Sorry Jamie, I booked with her first and she was so good that I'm not changing. read more

I have gone to Your Body's Retreat many times for hair removal. Jamie is always professional. For the past few months, I have seen her sister, Melissa. Melissa has a different suite, and the waiting area has two comfortable chairs. Today I arrived for my 1:30 appointment at 1:24. I went in to the waiting area and sat down and began checking Facebook, emails, etc. I could hear Melissa talking to someone in the treatment room, but I paid no attention. At 1:30, Melissa stuck her head out of the door and asked me to wait in the hallway because the previous appointment was running later than planned. So I stepped out into the hall and continued checking my phone. At 1:34, Melissa came out into the hallway and said I could come in, but she had to do some cleanup. I again sat in a chair in her waiting area. After thinking about it, I said, "I'm leaving. I cannot believe you had me wait in the hall! I won't be back!" Melissa responded with shock (real or feigned, I could not tell). She said "My previous client was telling me something personal. Oh my god! You're leaving?" "Yes," I replied. "I am out of here! I can't believe you had me stand in the hallway!" "You could have sat in the chair outside Jamie's suite!" was her response. Melissa obviously missed the point. It wasn't my fault that her previous appointment had run over the time allotted. If they were worried that I might hear, they could have lowered their voices. I could not make out what was being discussed, nor did I try. It wasn't my fault that Melissa had two comfortable padded chairs in her waiting area but then told me I could not use them. I will not return to Your Body's Retreat. Shame on me for not knowing that it means "Retreat to the hallway." read more

OMG I love Melissa. She is amazing. First time decided to get some grooming done and not do it myself. It was an amazing experience. Melissa explained the whole process to me and made me feel very comfortable and talked through the process to calm my nerves. I definitely recommend her 100% and I'm a regular now for sure. Keep it up guys. And thank you !!!!! read more

Jamie is THE BEST! 10 out of 10, PERIOD!!! I've been sugaring for almost a year now. I used to go to a place in Dallas which I still love but I was tired of making that drive. So I found Jamie's spot right down the street from my home. When I say she knows her stuff, believe me! First, she's extremely knowledgeable about sugar waxing and just waxing in general. Second, she's very knowledgeable about skin and what is good and bad for your skin, and the different types of skin on the body. Her technique removed every bit of hair on my bikini and armpits. I feel like a newborn! Also, she has plenty of products for you to purchase but she didn't bring it up or force it upon me which I appreciate because I hate when people try and tell you that you need to purchase products to fix whatever. She is not in the business of just taking your money. She truly wants to help people maintain healthy and beautiful skin. I highly HIGHLY recommend coming to Jamie for all things sugar wax. She also plays great music during the session, so don't be afraid to tell her your request when she asks read more

I LOVE MELISSA! She's awesome! She made the sugaring a breeze. The facility was very clean and she was very welcoming. It was my first time and I decided to do sugaring due to a bad experience I had with waxing at another business. She did great, she was thorough, and she gave after care instructions along with an exfoliating glove . She helped take my mind off of the pain by talking to me and if she misses anything or you want her to do something different, she's a great listener and will try her best to do things the way you want them done. I def recommend her for sugaring! read more

I've been getting sugared by Melissa for more than a year and she is amazing. She makes every visit enjoyable and comfortable. I drive 50 minutes to see her every month because she's just so awesome! If you are looking for a sugarist she is the one! I've recommend her to my friends and family and they also love her. read more

So... I'm a little bit crazy about my brazilian waxes. Mainly because I have seen quality reduced the further I move east (I started in Los Angeles for $24 with 100% quality and went to San Diego ($40), Scottsdale ($75), Tempe ($65), the prices increasing and talent decreasing and now I live in Texas and these "spas" want $80 and will leave you with missed spots in the most difficult places to reach). Elitist? Yes, I am. Total hag? Depends on who you ask. I became frustrated with the lack of decent wax reviews in this category and did a seach in the Yellow Pages and started making phone calls to screen potentials for my new, *permanent* waxer. Most of these doofs didn't even answer their phones and certainly didn't return calls to me - interesting business practices. Hmm. Wonder how "y'all" get clients? But I digress... By the time I called Your Body's ReTreat I probably sounded like a total psycho when Jamie answered on the first ring. She was super nice and explained that she uses a process called "sugaring." I've heard of this term but didn't really know what it is and how it differs from wax. At this point with so many salons NOT giving me the answer I wanted and Jamie having a professional phone personality that reached out to my good sense to bring it down a notch, I figured, what the hell, and made an appointment for the next day. The salon is located in a small, nondescript building, in the far right suite of building 111 Bedford. I drove past twice - if you're looking for big neon lights then you might miss it. Jamie got to work on me right away and explained the process and how it differs from wax - sugar is a room-temperature ball of goop that gets you cleaned up so efficiently I can't imagine how I was a wax customer for so many years. The process leaves you clean, with no sticky residue and you're immediately good to go - you don't feel like you've been kicked repeatedly by Pat Morita wearing cleats. I am completely sold on this process. She also mentioned that the results last a bit longer than with wax, and I'm seeing that rings true already (it's been about 10 days as I'm writing this review). Go now! Check it out - at least try it once to see how you like it. I'm so glad I did! read more

Jamie is amazing! I loved my previous esthetician who did my waxing but could keep driving an hour to Frisco every 5-6 weeks. I had one sugaring experience in the Houston area but was intrigued when coming across Jamie's website. She came across as super knowledgeable and she really is! She is passionate about sugaring and teaching others. Booking appointments are simple. She is punctual, engaging, and gets the job done pretty quickly. I've been seeing her now for a year and I have no plans of going anywhere else! read more

So here I am planning for a cruise and wanting to get a Brazilian before I leave, but of course I was a little nervous of the pain to come. Either way googled waxing locations close to home...found their website..first time I ever heard of sugar waxing..read reviews decided to give them a try..made an appt..playing it safe did my eyebrows first and was VERY surprised there was very little pain compared to regular waxing..by the end of the wk had made appt for my brazilian..Pam made me feel very comfortable thru the whole process although a little painful it was over very quickly. VERY SATISFIED with work!! read more

Go now - put your razors down - call Jaime NOW! STOP WAXING - CALL Jaime now! She's a professional, down-to-earth woman who offers thorough knowledge and first-hand experience. She puts you to ease instantly and teaches you to improve on your in-between service rituals. I've traveled quite extensively over the years but have only found few professional places that have used sugaring techniques. It's my preferred method as I'm prone to ingrown hairs and scarring, lots of dark spots - it's so tragic. Jaime understood and worked magic using the sugaring method in a way that catered to my skin needs - making for a far less painful experience than I've had with sugaring and waxing before. Some technicians forget how tender the skin is even for those of us who've been doing this for years - who wants to be yanked on like that!? Being new to the metroplex area can be daunting to find affordable pampering; but ladies and gentlemen - it is far worth the drive and expense when you find a technician who is as in depth as Jaime! She helps relieve the pain by lightly spreading the skin taught and doing smaller sections. She definitely knows the tips and tricks to getting all the hairs out effectively without leaving you there with cold, numb butterflied legs! And she offers great advice for maintenance until your next service. I fully recommend her business!! read more

Did not feel like a spa experience at all. It was a very sketchy location and building and not exactly sanitary. After I had my Brazilian wax complete, she said you can clean off with this wet rag and then just throw it on the floor next to the other wet rags......what?! I was laying on a ratty towel and cleaning up with a ratty tag in a run down suite. Not what I expected for $100. read more

Just got my first Brazilian in 10 years this afternoon. First and only one was a hot strip wax that was crazy painful and irritating afterwards. I wasn't fully versed on waxing back then and didn't know you best results wouldn't be seen until after a few sessions. Sugaring was much less painful and after is just a little tender. Not at all as irritating after as the hot wax which was red and raw. The studio is very nice and Jamie did a great job. I'll be back for regular upkeep. read more

Fantastic service! I was waxing for the longest time and can definitely say I'm making the switch from waxing to sugaring! The process is a little longer but the results are so much better than wax! read more

This is the first place I've ever gotten sugared at. Prior to this I always did waxing or threading. I think I'm a convert...either that or Jamie is just amazing. She's friendly, she's no fuss, she is efficient, and her rates are reasonable for her services. It's as nice as an experience of having your hair ripped out of your body can be anyway! I do all sorts of things: my legs; my Brazilian; my face; my underarms....she does it all and she's really, really good. I haven't been to see her yet for a massage because I don't tend to get very many massages but I understand that she's really really good for those as well. read more

Safe, knowledgeable, and professional, Melissa did an amazing job for me today! Would recommend 10/10.

Jamie is fantastic! The salon I normally go to for my sugaring closed and I needed to find a new "home". I called Jamie as a last ditch effort before vacation and she was able to get me in the same day. She was completely professional explaining exactly how her establishment operated and what I could expect. The process was fairly straightforward and the results were amazing. I believe that I've found my new "home" salon for sugaring and will gladly recommend her to others! read more

Wax is wack, sugaring is where it's at and Renee is the best at that! No seriously though this is real sugaring not that sugar wax BS, it's way better and I feel like it's a more natural for your skin .... my skin doesn't turn red with sugaring like it does wax. read more

The person I usually go to for my Brazilian waxes was booked. I had heard so many wonderful things about Jamie, she was the only person I knew that I could trust with my vagina. When my appointment began, Jamie made me feel so comfortable and I felt like I was being pampered rather than getting a hair removal service. She gave me so much great information on how I can take care of my skin after our appointment. She is the best! read more

I just recently moved to Texas from California and was absolutely in LOVE with the place I went to. I had a couple bad experiences in the past and was hesitant to search for a new place again. I found this place through Yelp (thanks everyone) and decided to try it out. Let me tell you... I think i found my new place!! My whole experience was wonderful. And though we all know this process isn't pain free, I felt at ease the entire time. Pam was so lovely. She made me feel right at home, and explained the whole process to me (since i was new to sugaring). If you are looking for a new "place" or wanting to try it out, I highly recommend this place, and Pam!! I am so happy with my results and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Loved this place! It was my first time to try sugaring and I loved the results. It still hurts like waxing but I felt that it lasted longer. If you are in a hurry, this method is a process so make sure you are aware and have enough time. I got a full brazilian and it took about 40-45 minutes. Jennifer was great and made me feel very comfortable, I will definitely be back! read more
