For our last night in Prague, we booked a dinner cruise. It ended up being on the Lužnice and it departed from Pier 4.
Warmly welcomed on board with a pre-departure glass of champagne, our waiter explained how dinner would proceed and the details. Choice of starter (ham, swordfish carpaccio or caprese salad), main course (duck, swordfish or steak), dessert (cheeses, strawberries with mascarpone or mousse). Plus one bottle of wine for each two people, and beer or mineral water. There was also a vegetarian option.
Me and my four friends burned through three bottles of their delicious white wine, several beers and enjoyed our meals very much. I had the Caprese salad, duck confit and cheese plate. All served at a nice pace as the ship went downriver, passed through a lock, turned around, passed back through the lock, went up river and then returned to the start. Three hours on the dot.
Plenty of time to go above and look at the city at night, watch the ship going through the lock, and some people were up there politely having a smoke at the aft of the ship. The piano player was very good and did take requests.
Five stars, we had a great time and would definitely do this again. Sitting in the rear dining room (not the upgraded "panorama view") was perfectly okay.
