I am writing this portion of my review prematurely - I don't know if this Cibolo LUXX is affiliated with LUXX in NB but that location is not good. I had them use dirty tools, try to overcharge and haggle with me for prices, and make me wait over 45 min for a pre-booked appointment. I also have specific things I look for in a nail salon that I want to outline here before going in. ***Edit***I typed the questions before I went and then filled the answers in the next day after my appointment. - so first off will this location be clean, maintain sterile standards/ abide by safety regulations? The majority of the service was done very much up to par. The only thing is they do not pour acrylic powder into a separate dish which is not ideal as any soft/absorbing surfaces/products should be discarded after a single use per state regulations. - Will they haggle prices? (They are running specials right now that do not have a "no-combination" disclaimer.) I honestly did not have the courage to ask them to use both but they did not add the "10% off all services" on my bill even though they have a huge banner out front. This makes me think they won't give you a discount if you don't ask even if they should. With the discount my acrylic fill with shellac was 40$ without tip. - Am I going to be sitting around waiting for my appointment that was booked more than 24 hrs in advance? I got there at 11:38 for an 11:45 appointment and they sat me immediately. They did leave me sitting for about 5-7 minutes however they started my service at my appointment time. After prepping my nails a bit the tech got up and left me there for at least 10 minutes before a different tech came and did my service. - Is the actual service pleasant, pain free, and generally enjoyable? The nail tech did a great job. She took her time and was very meticulously about the shape, borders, and symmetry which was really nice. She was also pretty fast which is a bonus. She checked in with me serval times during the appointment as well to make sure I liked my nails. This is really nice for someone who may not be as comfortable voicing their concerns. She also very professionally and graciously fixed a couple little things I voiced. - Is the overall product of my nail visibly appealing and what I wanted? The nails are awesome. They had a huge selection of colors I haven't been able to find at several salons and I'll definitely go back to try some others. read more

My husband and I came in for pedicures, and it was hands down the best pedicure I've had in a long time. They took their time, paid attention to detail, and made the whole experience very relaxing, nothing felt rushed. I was honestly surprised to see the low reviews because our visit was excellent. I just left Luxx Nails in Cibolo, Texas and I got a basic manicure and pedicure-regular, old-school polish. Well, it looked like a 5 year old painted my nails and the polish was old. It wouldn't dry and 30-45 minutes later it is still sticky! Before I left, I asked one of the men if this was old polish because it was taking a long time to dry (he had me sit under the shellac light). He said, no. He knew it was old! I should have gone with my gut and had him take it off then! I went back and they were already closed. So now I have to go home and take off the $20 worth of old fingernail polish that I just paid for! I will never go back there again. read more

This was the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I always get the Basic Pedicure. When the technician was showing me the options, of course he only showed the more expensive options. I told him what I wanted and he said "that's not even a pedicure, it just rinses your feet off." I repeated what I wanted and two more times he said "no..."and tried to upsell me. That's ridiculous to argue with a customer about the service they are requesting. Then it was time to pick my color. I chose a pink from the DND colors. He said that they only had those in gel colors so he brought me a second set of colors to choose from. I chose another pink. He again said "no, these are gel, choose another one." Before I chose another one he came over with a different pink and said "close enough!" I said "no, I want a pink with glitter." So then he returns with the second color I chose and said it would work. Next was the pedicure. Y'all...this man was SO rough with my feet! I now have bloody cuts on 3 of my toes and my polish looks terrible. I'm certain he was upset that I didn't choose a more expensive pedicure. He didn't push back the cuticles on my toes and there is polish all over my skin. I will say my finger nails look good. He seemed much nicer by the time he got to my nails. The one star is specifically for my finer nails. If this review was based only on my pedicure experience then it would be zero stars if that was an option. read more

Bebe went to Vietnam and never came back lol the last 5 times I've been here my very simple services were performed in a rushed manner and the results were poor. This last time I was bounced back and forth between two techs simply because one didn't wanna do a fill. A fill yall and I didn't even get French! I asked for under the nails to be drilled during the fill and you'd have thought I asked for a kidney transplant. I will take my business where it's appreciated. Warning!!!!! This place is HORRIBLE!! If I could have given then 0 stars, I would have. I asked the nail tech (Vicky) for rounded shape and she told me "later". I asked her 3 times and she still didn't do it. My nails were supposed to be ombré and they charged me for ombré. They are clearly NOT ombré. Vicky cut my thumb as well. I asked to speak to the manager outside and she offered to have "Vicky" fix them. I told her "No THANK YOU"! She then gave me a whopping 10% off of $65 I paid for a new ombré set. VERY CLASSY NAIL BAR! I've been to LUXX Nail Bar several times and each time they never disappoint. The classical music helps make your experience very relaxing. They have an abundance of manicure and pedicure seats which increases their ability to service more customers at one time. I was a walk-in with a friend on a Sunday. I came right at opening and we were able to be serviced immediately. I decided on shellac full set with coffin shape and rhinestones on one finger per hand. The price was $62 Manicure Details: Full-Set with Shellac - $50 Rhinestones - $7 Coffin Shape - $5 Pedicure Details: Basic Pedicure with regular polish - $27 I was serviced by "Michelle" for both the manicure and pedicure. I struggled deciding on a color but she was very patient and helped me decide. I wanted one color "058" which was an aqua pink shellac but she advised the color didn't look like the template on your actual nail. I was somewhat disappointed about this because it took me forever to decide on a color and when I did, I couldn't get it. Nevertheless we figured it out. They provide complimentary drinks during your service. Overall. I'm pleased with the service and would definitely return. Highly recommended! read more

My grandmother, mom, sister, and I have been going to LUXX since it opened. I'm completely one for believing your experience depends on your nail tech (we see Sandra from manicures only). That being said, we have a great experience every time with Sandra! I haven't had a bad pedicure here, but I also think it's difficult to have a bad pedicure unless they cut you or use too much pressure during the massage. I think they do a good job of maintaining the interior (replacing chairs and whatnot). I've never missed out on a drink like other people in the reviews have. I wish they kept more consistent management. They also just raised prices, which is a bummer. However, I can justify that because of COVID. read more

The first time I went there I asked for a short black French tip but I wanted my french tip to be very thin and after asking the guy twice if he can make the French tip smaller, I just gave up. Not even an hour later my gel started to peel. My nails have never ever ever ever been so thick and bubbly before. They told me the reason why my nails look so bubbly is because my natural nails are very short but I have been to a couple nail salons That have made my nails perfect. I went back to get them fixed the next day and someone else did my nails still my nails are very bubbly and thick. Not to mention my nails are all different lengths. My mother, my two daughters and I have been going to Luxx Nail Bar since they opened. I know that nail places are a hit or miss for everyone, but in all these years, they've never been a miss for us. My mom is Thai and no ones a stranger to her--they treat her so kind, like she's their grandmother. Her preferred nail tech is Sandra. She knows exactly how to do her nails and is meticulous with the shaping and manicure. Every pedicure I've gotten has been fantastic too. Today was especially great as my tech did accupressure on my feet and was a perfectionist with polishing the color. Find a place you love and give them your business! Do not use LUXX Nail Bar on CVD if you are looking for a pedicure or unless you are ok with paying for a really bad one. I stopped going there because I wasn't getting what I was paying for (lotion and sea salt massage time). I saw the sign of new management and thought I would give it another chance. This time it was WORSE!!! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.... now that alone should tell you how bad it was. The pedicure I selected from their menu book said 6 minute sea salt and 8 minute lotion massages. I got 1 minute sea salt and 1 minute lotion- TOTAL, both legs (I timed it on my phone since that's the reason I stopped going to this place). I would paint my own damn nails before ever going back to that place!!! What a waste of money!! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This place had been my favorite place for a while. However, the past two years the service has become very poor. DO NOT GET NICKY. She's very rude and doesn't listen to the client.
