I absolutely love Jenny and the care she takes with my hands and feet. She is a crown jewel for this establishment. So, my review is not about her but the online advertisement pictures. None of the pictures of hands are from African-Americans and I would like to see how the colors look on darker complexions. read more

I took my daughter for a pedi- for her birthday, she's turning 3. I made the appointment a week ago and told them it was for her birthday. We got there and they seemed confused about our appointment, then had me sign in as a walk in. My daughter also asked for a mani while we were waiting, and they said they could. The lady started on my pedi and my daughter waited w her feet in the water. She waited a good 15 minutes like this before another lady came into work (about 30 min after our appt time). She removed my daughters polish, wiped the scrubber over her foot and repainted her toes. That was it. During this process she took 3 phone calls, got up 3 times and was super distracted. Then I reminded her that my daughter wanted her nails as well .. she painted them: that was it. No soak; no massage, nothing. It was maybe 4 minutes of work total- but took 10 because of all the phone calls. I was so disappointed. Luckily my daughter is 3 and had no idea- but I really wanted this to be special. Guess I'll continue my hunt for the best kids pedicure place- this isn't it. My pedicure was fine, I was just distracted with how sad her experience was. read more

I am never going there again. The tech injured my foot during a pedicure. She took a large nail file and before I could say anything she proceeded to gauge a hole in my foot. She also was so rough against the side of my foot, I am still limping a week later. Before I left I had to ask for a band aide. I am still livid a week later. This was my 5th and final appointment. Before this they were mediocre at best -ignoring me, watching videos on their phones, not really paying attention to what they were doing. I went because the price for their basic pedi was the cheapest in my area. Now I know why. If I could have given 1/2 a star I would have. read more

I moved about a year ago from Schertz but ever since I been getting my nails done here my thumb nails now grow with ridges and severely dented. They have never looked like this till I went here. I definitely recommend Texy nails for all your nail and toe needs. The service is always genuine and never rushed. I go to Tiffany for all my nails and she always does a good job! The kids pedicure chair wasn't working with the bubbles so I paid for a full kids pedicure for my 4 year old daughter but all they did was paint her toes. Also, I don't think they had much patience for my 4 year old as this was her first time and she wanted to see everything. She did her best to stay still! They do the bare minimum. I don't go get a pedicure to hear a timer go off every 5 minutes. That is NOT a relaxing. They blast their cell phone videos the whole time you are there, or speak Vietnamese the whole time. I told the lady I had some ingrown toenails and asked her to help them she only pressed on them. Like I said bare minimum. Also the air was not on when I arrived. I wasn't offered a drink. Just hurried to back. They also can't do designs. The first picture is what I got. So far my nails are still perfect. I got them done on April 5th with Helen with sparkley pink ombre. I have been looking for a nail salon for 5 years all over San Antonio from the south side to northwest, north side and in universal city since I moved from AZ. I'm super picky Bc my mother was a nail tech and I've gotten my nails done for almost 30 years. I recently moved near the shop and was hoping to find a place nearby that I liked enough to go back at least twice and I will definitely be a regular. Very disappointed. I usually always come here when i have time to get my nails/feet done. Today i decided to run in at 6 being that they close at 730 & i had to work, and i asked for a full set and a pedi & their response was "*looked at clock* we close at 7 can we just do one service today?" That's like going to a restaurant an hour and a half before closing and asking if they can just serve you drinks and an appetizer. Texy nails has officially lost my business .. very rude and unprofessional. Tip: even though the website says they close at 730 , they technically stop taking Walkins for multiple services at 6. read more

Le is amazing, she has my nails looking good. First time ever I was able to have my natural nails long! Le talks to you about what is best for your nails health. Le also does good at pedicures, she removed my in grown toenail with my feet hurting the rest of the week. She has amazing nail design, I definitely recommend Texy nails, all of staff is friendly. Call ahead of you want appointment with Le, she is requested often. Nick did my partner's nails and pedicure, he did an Amazing job as well. The prices here may be alittle higher than other places but their work is well with it. If you pay cash you get 15% off your bill. I just left what would have been my second appointment at Texy Nails. I really, really wish I could have stayed because Kevin is 5he best nail tech I've had in years. Unfortunately, his Team Lead allowed someone to sit down for a refill/full set literally minutes before I showed up for my 3pm appointment, which had been booked 2 weeks prior. After waiting for 35 minutes without so much as someone asking me if I'd like to look at any colors, i finally asked Kevin how much longer he would be. I was t9ld that it would be another 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I have an extremely busy schedule and had other appointments after my 3pm nail appointment. I do not appreciate folks, businesses, being cavalier with my time. I show up on time or early and expect the businesses that I patronize, to honor my appointment time. I get that there are walk-ins but why even book appointments if they're not going to be honored? As much as I like Kevin, this place will not get one more dollar from me. Don't come here if you have a tight schedule! read more

Absolutely top notch customer service with a genuine heart. I am always welcomed like family. The owners Tiffany and Kevin are experts in their field as it shows in their work. If you ever have to wait for services do so knowing you will leave satisfied. Pedicures are through with a lot of care to the details of filing, grooming and shaping of the nails. There is a huge selection of shellac polish that would please anyone. Timers are set at the time of your leg and foot massage to insure you get what you pay for. A shout out to Bobby! He has some pedicure skills! You will not be disappointed with his work! Solar nails are top notch. Nails are a very thin and feel natural. The products are high quality and do not lift. I have a hectic schedule and have a tendency to not receive services in a timely manner. The integrity of my nails remain beautiful and intact. Other than growth, they are perfect. I've been here a handful of times. Each time the pedi was the standard- soak, massage, etc. No complaints. The place appears clean.I had a short wait both times.- under 15 minutes.The 2nd time they took a person ahead of me who had come in after me. I had a dip done and loved the color. However, the dip on one nail separated from the nail after a couple of days. Then I got an infection under a nail causing my nail to COME OFF. I'm done with nail salons. read more

I have been getting my nails done for several years. I've gone to several different places before I found Texy nails. I have made the mistake of going somewhere closer at my lunch break, but the difference in quality is definitely not worth it. I LOVE Texy nails. They know me by name and treat me like family. A previous person gave a one star review because they took someone before her, but they probably had an appointment! Really unfair to be so judgmental and not have your facts. I have seen Tiffany, Kevin and Simon and all do a beautiful manicure. They offer you a drink with your service every time. The best waxing, nails, facials and pedicures in the Schertz and San Antonio area. Their place is clean and they have great music playing. I recommend all my friends and coworkers. Wonderful people!!!!! I would give 10 stars if I could!!! read more

First time I made an appointment with them I got an old lady with shorter hair. I got shellac and she did well but it started to peel less than 24 hours later. I called in and Tiffany said to come in right away and she would fix them. She did at no charge and it was perfect for 2 weeks. I've been back twice since then and had Tiffany and Le and they both did well with a solar overlay fill and shellac. Don't get the older lady and you should be fine. read more

Truly disappointed with the service. I waited 45 minutes from my appointment time because the lady who did my nail was busy taking care of another customer. The lady did a harsh job doing my nails & seemed to be irritated to me when I asked her nicely if she could just try to finish my nails before a certain time since I already waited for a long time and I have an important reservation to attend to. She actually did finish my nails quickly by filing my nails so hard & with extreme pressure. I felt horrified & still showed calmness since I hate creating a scene. For some people who had a good experience at this place, good for y'all. But for me I just want to share my own & it was unpleasant. Rude period! Picture attached is one week old only & has already chipped. Not ever coming back here & definitely would not recommend to my family & friends. read more

Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Good place but I just think it's a bit over priced compared to other places I've been to with the same services. Also, every time I go the staff is always on their phone,answering phone calls, or texting while working on you, which didn't seem too professional to me. I go there to relax not to listen to someone else talk. I did go today and the young guy that did my nails didn't do that great of a job on my nails. He left nail polish on the side of nail and didn't even clean it off. I might not be going back and if I do it's because it close and convenient. read more

I have been going to this place over 2 years now. The girls that did my nails before are no longer there but I have been going to Sue for a very long time and she is awesome. Tiffany is great as well. I have actually never had a bad technician here. I also think their prices are great. They have a discount if you pay in cash and a military discount Monday through Thursday. If you call for an appointment they are always gracious and nice and try very hard to accommodate the time that you need. read more

I tried to explain, but he barely speaks and understands English...ALso I needed to explain to him about my left foot having had prior surgery was still very tender...I couldn't communicate that to him. The very next day I was in extreme pain because of his roughness. I need a nail technician that speaks and understands English so that I can clearly communicate to them that I am a diabetic with kidney disease. I want to be able to ask questions to insure that they are not using products harmful to my health or that they are doing something that is causing me pain.
