My daughter and I had manicures yesterday and enjoyed our experience very much in Olympia, WA. The staff was friendly and they accommodated us without an appointment. They actually told us to arrive in 30 minutes instead of the standard, Yes we can do it now and then make you wait an hour like most salons. I do see there are many negative reviews, but most are from different states. This is a common name. So, please check the location before you read the reviews. Horrible horrible horrible. I went with my friend for a girl spa day and we were waiting almost 45 minutes for pedicures. When we finally were starting the lady was incredibly rude and I came back with cuts all over my feet. I have never experienced a pedicure where they physically cut up your feet. DO NOT GO HERE. Ok so I came in and specifically asked if they had time to see me right at that moment to which they replied yes, and told me to sit down. I didn't have time to wait long because of picking my kids up from daycare so I asked a couple times to clarify. When I sat down and took a look around there were four other people all seated to get manicures - all with their nails half done. There were two employees - one doing the manicures and one doing pedicures. I didn't want to risk it taking longer so I let them know I changed my mind and was going to leave. Do not go here! It was a horrible experience. My niece scheduled an appointment for her bridal party here a week in advance, I will say they did call the day before to confirm. When we arrived they seemed confused that that we had an appointment with them. Even though we had a party of 8 that they scheduled, they continued to take walk-ins instead of actually working on our party. I had to wait over 45 minutes with my feet soaking before someone finally started on my pedicure. The pedicure was one of the worst I have ever received. They clipped my cuticles back to far. On my big toe she tried to clip off a part of my actual toenail that is attached to the bed and when I told her that hurt and asked her to stop she tried immediately again! I had to practically shout that it hurt for her to move on. Once she painted my nails, it was absolutely terrible. She got so much paint on my cuticles and skin. They brides nails had to be completely redone because when she told her that she didn't like the color all she kept repeating to her was "too late" and was so rude about it. We were there for over 3.5 hours for the entire bridal party to get completed. I also never saw them clean out the pedicure bowl except with a dirty sponge, no disinfectant, cleaner, nothing. The woman who did my manicure was gentle, thorough, and she did a beautiful job. She offered me an extra service and i politely declined, and as i mentioned, there was no pressure. Update: The polish on my fingernails have chipped on several fingers within 4 days. Honestly they should have just said they didn't have time for me. They rushed because they took over a half hour to get to me and then the place was closing when they hadn't yet started on my hands. ** They made 4 of my cuticles on my hands bleed which is uncommon for me. They at least used alcohol but by the end of it, my hands were on fire. But what's worse, I have developed a bacterial infection on my big toe which I have NEVER had before in my life. I've been coming here for years but I'm pretty sure today was my last time. They literally never honor their appointments. Even if you show up on time, you have to wait at least 30 minutes before you're seen. Today I sat with my feet in luke warm water for over 30 minutes. When she finished my pedicure I asked her to fix one toe. I had to correct her 3 times because she kept not fixing the problem. Eventually I asked her to just start over on that toe and she was super annoyed and muttering to herself. When we went to check out she charged me for gel when I specifically asked for just polish before we even started. Her and another lady tried to explain that it was gel, even though it wasn't! Eventually when I didn't back down they gave me the difference in cash... she also turned to me with my card in the machine and said "how much tip?". Very rude. This hasn't been my only poor experience here. Today was just the last straw for me personally. read more

Went in with long, beautiful nails. came out with short, stumpy, uneven nails. Appointment took over 1.5 hours for dipping my nails. One hour of that seemed like it was used for pointless filing. I asked at least FOUR different times for them to STOP filing my nails into pointed claws. in the end my nails had to be shortened severely for a sort of square round shape. The only thing that kept me from walking out was that I wanted nail stickers applied (dinosaurs). The nail stickers were out the entire appointment, but the person doing my nails forgot to put them on. 3-4 people sat in the back at all times playing on their phones doing literally nothing, but the person doing my nails had to keep stopping to answer the phone. And last but not least on this poop sundae, you can see through the dip coating to my real nails underneath. I absolutely hate that. read more

I have gone to luxury nails for years with friends and my daughters. I have recommended them for as long as I have been going there. Last weekend my daughter and I went for a manicure and pedicure. The same day it began to chip like the polish was possible old. I called to to see about getting it fixed and they gave me a hard time on the phone but agreed to do it. I show up and it was beyond uncomfortable. The manicurist wouldn't look me in the face. They blamed me for my cuticles being the problem and I said isn't that part of what you do when you give a manicure? Stopped in about three weeks ago to have the dip powder removed from my nails. The technician used the nail drill to start off, followed by soaking my nails- great, works for me. But then she used ONLY the nail drill to remove the already soaked powder. She drilled enough that several nails are tender in the top, very sensitive and all my nails are now paper thin (I only had the dip powder for a week and a half, and was my first experience with it). She finished with a quick shaping and I asked for a coat of nail strengthener. The following day I had to go to another salon for gel, hoping it would ease the sensitivity- you can actually see the dip in my nails from her making them so thin! It did help, but my nails continue to break and split and I'm forced to file them as short as possible as they grow out. I can't believe they even charged me for essentially injuring me! read more

Pros: courteous and easily accommodate walk ins, quick and inexpensive service if that is what you are looking for Cons: low end, low volume regular polish selections; overly aggressive on filing and cuticle trims, attention to detail is not high and they don't seem to do full service treatments like paraffin, massage extension, etc. I've been here twice, about a year apart. The first time, I came for a gel mani and regular pedi. The got right to work but no choices were presented for the services (no mask, scrub, paraffin dip, etc.). The service was very meh and they very aggressively filed the surface of my nails for the gel adhesion. I left with a mediocre polish job that chipped within a few days and left my nails week and damaged underneath. I did not plan to return. However, a year later I needed a quick pedi for an event and this place is very close to me so I went back. I asked for a regular polish pedi and a mani- no polish, buff only. Again, I was quickly seated and the attendant was nice. No options given for the services. They did not clip, or offer to clip, my toe nails. I only realized this once she began applying polish which was so quick after I sat down, I had barely soaked my feet. My cuticles were very aggressively trimmed to the point that I bled on one finger and now a week later am still dealing with raggedy dry skin that catches and bleeds. I had to specifically point out areas on the nails that needed to be filed or they would have been left raggedy as well. Long story short, I am not impressed. I do not plan to return. I can't comment on other nail services but can see in the yelp pictures that many show aggressive trim and bleeding cuticles I experienced here. read more

The start of the pedicure was quite nice until the woman clipped my big toe and it began to bleed. After multiple attempts of using the blue liquid to stop the bleeding, she tried the glue used for acrylic nails. After twenty minutes and my toe still bleeding I asked for a bandaid so I could be on my way with only nine painted toes. I was charged full price with no hint of an apology. I have been coming here for nearly two years and after my experience last Wednesday I will not be back. I had already made the decision to stop getting my nails done here (If I'm paying 36 dollars for a fill they should NOT chip after a few days). But they were usually good with waxes, so Wesnesday morning I went in for a brow and lip wax. It was the WORST one I have ever received. The lady was very rough and kept jabbing me in the eyes with her knuckle and when I flinched she said "Oh, sorry my hands are cold." How do you not know you are improperly handling a client? Anyways, as if thats not bad enough, she didnt tweeze excess hairs, trim the length, wipe away excess wax or apply anything like oil or gel afterwards. These are all standard things with an eyebrow wax, and particularly at this salon!! BUT, the main reason I will not be back? As I write this I am currently sitting in this salon, I am so highly disappointed in the way they treat their customers! I have never felt so uncomfortable or unwanted in a place of business. My nail tech does a wonderful job, she takes her time, which I appreciate and pays attention to detail. They are constantly huffing and puffing at her about me.
