This was my spot when i used to live down here. I called in for an appointment. Everyone was wearing masks and socially distant. Saw one person wearing gloves. I did see them moving around and wiping things down between customers so that was good. I got just a pedicure and it was relaxing and nice. They had a special chair for the kiddo that's wants a pedi with her mom- i thought that was cute. I wasnt wowed by anything but it was nice enough. I went in for gel but they never gave it to me as an option, it was default.. so best to clarify. I hate to give only three stars, but I was really disappointed. I went in there to get the gel on my nails, and the manicurist didn't prep my nails too much before she put the gel on. I had been working outside previously that day and there was still dirt under my nails when she was done. (I know, kinda gross) but usually, I feel like they clean and cut your cuticles and stuff before they put the gel on. And for some reason, the gel on my thumb is already starting to peel and it hasn't even been a full 24 hours... Could've just been a weird day for them or me even... who knows... read more

I had business with this salon many times over ten years; however, after witnessing a yelling argument between two of the gals (one the manager) I was also yelled at. I tried to match gel nails with regular toes and even when one was coral and the other pink, they would insist I was wrong and their colors right. Recently I went back in and asked to pay the difference to match the toes and the male owner went on a tirade for ten minutes blaming me for "trying to get something free". I had paid $42- and was asking to pay $10- more to have it done right. I said if it can't be matched then tell the customer and they have the option to pay more. I went to the nail salon Tuesday and got a pedicure and full set for my upcoming trip to California. It is now Friday (3 days later) and i see all the air bubbles in my nails which is causing them to pop off easily. I asked for marble and got this. I honestly wasn't happy with them but I believe she was really trying to do a good job. Although i was too shy to say i didnt like them, I even tipped her $8. I always get long nails and never experienced this. I called them to see if they can refund me my set (since i am now in California) and she got really upset and said that she "doesn't believe its been 3 days" and also said "she is too busy to call later" i calmly told her i was not trying to upset her just trying to get to a resolution. She responded with "im not supposed to be mad about this i can handle it" which was very odd. I told her i felt bad for even calling, and that they could keep the tip since I got a pedicure but that I wanted a resolution for my Full set that cost me over $60. I asked if i could send her pictures of my nails since im not in Washington state right now but she stayed quiet on the phone until she got mad again and said theres nothing she could do. So i told her i would show her on Yelp since she didn't believe me and i hope this helps others. My pedicure was 5/10 one lady did them then the one that did my nails saw them and "fixed them" without me saying a word about as i acted like i liked everything. Out of all the salons in Tumwater i decided to go to this one and definitely regret it. Almost $100 down the drain within days. U can see the time stamps on the photos for proof. read more

I used to come to this place 1 or 2 times a month, but today will be my last visit. Thuy does amazing pedicures & foot massages which is the main reason I would continue to come back... She is great. Any time I got gel manicures, they never lasted very long before peeling back near the cuticle. For that reason, I had maybe only gotten 2 or 3 done there. (This was not a problem I ever had from Luxury Nails in Olympia.) I had a polish I thought would look best on longer nails, so I went in for a new set. The guy working there was insisting I just do gel, or that I do gel polish over the acrylic (to be expected). Shortly after he started on my nails, a group of three women came in wanting a gel manicure, a fill & three brow waxes. As soon as they explained what they wanted, I was pushed to the side and told one of the ladies would do my pedicure first. He said "She'll be done in two minutes!" and immediately started helping this group of three. So, I had to wait another 10 minutes on top of the 15 before he started helping me... Just so he could appease this group. He finished both sets of nails by the time I was done with my pedicure. He only needed to paint the girl's nails who got a fill. He proceeded to leave her waiting just the same as I had, so he could start my new set. I asked the girl "Do you just have polish left?" and she said yes. The guy got irritated because I apologized to her and told her he had left me waiting too. He then said "We are short staffed. We had two girls call in today, they work too hard. They need rest." To me, it didn't look like they had any more or less staff than usual. I let him know he was still wasting both our time and it didn't look good on his part to keep starting but never finishing. Although I was straightforward, I was not rude or loud. He didn't speak to me any more after that, but he did keep jerking my hands/arms toward him much more aggressively than he needed to. He was also filing and shaping my nails very aggressively. The aggression and the feeling of being man-handled when I was never rude is the absolute #1 reason I will never return to this place. read more

I asked for the $15 manicure but when I paid they charged me $25, claimed I asked for the gel. Plus they really tried to push me into tips and all kinds of other more expensive things. The polish is streaky and uneven but I was okay with it. However two days later everything is getting stuck in it. So far I've collected a hair and a bunch of dirt particles on my nails and can't get it out. They were friendly but overall won't be coming back One week later my nails are a muddy mess. I am beyond annoyed. First I had I wait 30 min which was fine. But then when the lady started my manicure I told her just to file my nails down. Not only did she go ahead and cut them, she made my beautiful long natural nails really short. She couldn't even square them like I asked it even make all the nails even. So I ended up not getting gel color like i normally do because I didn't see the point anymore. So i got clear polish and I was still charged like I got a color. Will never return to this nail salon! I requested a quote when I made the appointment over the phone (a man answered the phone). The lady who did my manicure was trying to increase the charge accusing me of stating an inaccurate quote! I immediately asked to speak to the man who made my appointment. When I first walk into the salon, I was overwhelmed with the stench and lack of proper ventilation. My manicurist was beyond rude and her attitude clearly showed she did not want to be there. She made my cuticles bleed...and was speaking in Vietnamese non-stop to the owner. Poor ventilation, poor business practice, and AWFUL customer service! They close at 7 pm...as my nails were drying, they turned off the music and rushed me out by 6:20...my nails weren't even fully dried yet! Oh, and they don't have fans to dry basic manicures. This is by far the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to! No nail dust at my station and they use fresh manicure tools for every client. (She opened the package in front of me.) I got my first shellac manicure here and I love it so much! It lasted 18 days! I had to come back for my second one despite an hour drive, it was worth it! read more

nails plus is the worst place i have ever been to, my friend and i went there and they were obviously not busy. they were rude and brought up my friends underbite saying "what's wrong with your mouth, why are you talking weird?" then started doing my nails and made my cuticle bleed and when i brought it up he ignored me, then made several of my friends cuticles bleed and one was so bad he had to change the tool he was using!! then he did not tell us about an extra charge, then being more then what we even wanted to pay in the beginning. do not go here!! read more

I've been to this place for a few years. I have had multiple poor experiences, to the point I have finally decided to search for a new salon. I have normally just had pedicures, but have had on occasion gel polish on my fingers--this ended due to one of those namely "poor experiences". I have brought many family and friends to this establishment due to their low prices; however sadly will never return. One of the gals at the salon has been very rude to both myself, and guests that I have brought. In addition, the quality of service, experience, and work that is done has become quite poor. I do understand that occasionally you may be disappointed with art, environment, etc.--however; when it gets to the point that you are more often disappointed rather than pleased with your experience, it is time to move on. read more
