If you need a Brazilian, this is the BEST place to go! I recently moved to Washington and I needed a wax desperately. I tried contacting a few people but Christina Petrole at Bare was the only one who returned my calls and was willing to work with my schedule. She's very kind and understanding, especially with all the cancellations I had to do. Her office is gorgeous, the entire spot is nicely decorated covered in beautiful artwork. Every time I walk in I automatically feel at ease from the set-up, to the music, and her overall presence. I love coming here and I always leave with the cutest head wraps! She also offers you water right when you walk in and that always helps relax me. At first, the only service I came here for was a Brazilian wax, now I come here and do my legs and lips as well! Christina does such a great a job, I can't help but purchase more services from her. I waxed my legs one time before and it wasn't such a good experience, but when Christina does it, you can't even tell! Waxing my upper lip has been amazing too! Terrible experience right off the bat. I've never had a waxing establishment have a 24 hour cancellation policy. That's ridiculous. Apparently this company does, which I didn't realize. I show up to the appointment and I couldn't find the door which goes to Bloom's office. It was raining heavily, and I desperately needed to use the restroom, so I left to go do that. I figured I'd reschedule and try and figure out how to get in when I called them , no big deal. Then they call me and asked what happened, I told them, and they laid the cancellation policy on me, so I just told them, I'll see you in court. read more

I lived in Seattle for a couple of years, where I got used to very fast (15 min) but pricey ($70) waxing. When I moved back down to the Olympia area, I needed a new "wax lady." After trying another place and being very disappointed, I went to Christina because my best friend recommended her. It's probably always nerve wracking finding a new salon/spa service provider, but everything about the experience at Bare put me at ease. First, there's parking! Her place is so stylish and clean and you can tell everything has been planned out, down to the relaxing, quiet music. Her website is easy to use and actually serves a purpose--you have an online account which saves information about your previous appointments, allows you to make future appointments, and allows you to set up email and text reminders. When I made my first appointment, I wrote a little message to Christina to inform her about my needs in my appointment and she called before my appointment because she thought the message had been cut off and she wanted to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns before I came in. Super thoughtful! I realize I won't probably find a 15 minute waxer in this area, but after this, I really don't miss it. While it took 45 minutes, the time just flew by. No super awkward positioning and I don't know how she did it, but it was virtually painless. And unlike every other appointment I've had, I somehow did not walk out in any pain, irritation, or stickiness. It was as if I hadn't just had waxing done. Crazy! Plus Christina is incredibly knowledgable about what she does and about aftercare, and she carries some great products. To top it all off--no more $70 waxing, just $45! I never thought I'd ever describe any waxing service as "relaxing," until I met Christina! Her new studio is immaculate, and tastefully lit and decorated, so you immediately feel comfortable there. And as far as the service itself, I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of pain I experienced - all thanks to her delicate and non-obtrusive technique! Even the type of wax she uses is not as hot as other places I've been to - it's amazingly a very comfortable temperature, especially for sensitive gals like myself! I have been going to Christina for a couple of years now. The fact that she is now in her own place, makes the experience that much more personal. The 45 minute drive is so worth everything. I had a Brazilian wax at bare for the first time! I loved the environment. The retail selection was neatly displayed. The waiting are was comfortable and inviting. Christina was so sweet and my appointment started right on time. When we got back to the treatment room everything was so clean and sanitary. I loved that she had disposable products to sit on and didn't double dip her wax. She was very thorough using her mag light and tweezers. I felt completely comfortable with her and completely forgot I was getting hair removed. Parking was also so easy. Her online booking was so easy and quick to use.
