Maria is a *wonderful human* and excellent at her job. She's sincere and fun and easy to talk to. I've moved from Olympia and I'm missing her madly. Went to a new spot where the wax was fine but the conversation was miserable. read more

I reached out to Maria based on the reviews here on Yelp and was lucky enough to have her fit me into her crowded schedule today! She is EVERYTHING the reviews say. She's just a joyful person who is great at her job. She made me feel extremely comfortable and the procedure was over before I knew it! Cannot recommend her more and I'll definitely be back! read more

Don't bother! I wrote them to ask about prices and in over two years, they never answered. Businesses like this who abuse customers don't belong in Washington State. Business is about listening and communication. You aren't communicating. Answering questions on social media or on Yelp are a necessity if you don't want to be out of business sooner than later. read more

Love Wax Appeal! Just moved here and I am super picky on where I get waxed. Maria is super professional, knowledge and super fun to talk to! I'm a regular now! read more

I Moved to WA a year ago from California and one of the first things I did was try and find a salon. I found one and went to it and it was good. I wanted to find another one and I found this somewhat hidden gem on top of a hill in Tumwater, WA. I am SO GLAD I found this salon! As I mentioned the last one I went to was good but this one is FANTASTIC! Maria is great! I went in for a Brazilian and Maria did the fastest almost painless Brazilian I ever had! I have been getting them for a while now so if it's your very first time it might not be as painless as mine but to be honest I think with Maria doing it it won't be so bad at all. She's GOOD! It was not only almost painless for me and fast...no redness or anything! I won't ever go back to the other salon. The salon is really nice and clean. Really nice atmosphere. I am totally pleased with the results! I will be back for sure this will be my go to salon from here on out! Thanks Maria! read more

This, by far, was my best experience ever. Maria is ahhhh-mazing. She's the most thorough person ever. If you need a brazilian she's the guru! She got the process down! You'll feel so comfortable, she'll make you laugh, you may forget why you're there. read more

Maria is the best! I adore her! She was my first and only wax experience and now I absolutely refuse to go to anyone else. I actually live in Seattle now and drive down to have her do my waxings. She will make you feel comfortable and relaxed. She will do an amazing job while making you feel like a close friend. Go. To. Her. Now. read more

I have to give Maria five stars for the following reasons: Friendly, knowledgeable, detail oriented, organized and accessible. The salon is laid out in a way that makes you feel "at home" , it was well lit, beautifully decorated and it smelled good! She even put on some music before she got to work:) Maria gave me privacy to undress, and gave me a towel to "cover up". She put on gloves and went over the process before she started to work. She asked several times if the temperature of the wax was comfortable, and applied gentle pressure after each pull which made the pain almost minimal. I was surprised and pleased that the experience was quick and painless . It's obvious that she's passionate about her work and her fees are very accessible. I'll definitely recommend her and will be coming back very soon. read more

I've had a great waxing experience with Maria every time. Her space is very clean and she is friendly and efficient. She's really good!

Maria is incredible! You need to see her at least once! She makes you feel amazing and comfortable. She is a perfectionist so you will not leave disappointed. The day after my first Brazilian with Maria she texted me to ask how I was doing and if I had any questions. I have never had such great service, at the salon and after! Our group of girls came in on Sunday for a private waxing party, she was so accommodating to us, we brought food, drinks, music and games and we had the best time! I highly recommend wax appeal for any and everything!! read more

I went in to get a brazilian and my eyebrows done. 1. This chick is awesome and hysterical. 2. My ladybits look better than they have looked after any wax I've had. 3. She apologized for taking a long time but it was actually faster than anyone else I've been to. Here's what happened: it was dang hot outside and the air conditioning in the building wasn't working, so the hard wax wasn't exactly hardening. However, this was absolutely not her fault and she still did an amazing job under the trying circumstances. My advice is not to get waxed near your period- I think that's common knowledge, but it was a day after mine and I was still more sensitive than usual. She apologized profusely for the pain and extra time, but it wasn't at all her fault, and she threw my eyebrows in for free. She is also hilarious, intelligent and great company in general. We shared regrettable tattoos, cracked a lot of jokes and talked about failed life goals- it was frank and comforting. The environment is pleasant and welcoming, very cozy. As far as the wax job goes, I'm usually pretty red and irritated afterward, but it's been five days and it's still pretty damn near perfect, with no regrowth. And her prices are really fair. I think I'll go back for another wax when I need one, and maybe get a facial and an eyelash tint. I would recommend her to beginners and veteran waxees alike. read more

Maria is amazing! This was my first time getting a Brazilian Wax, she made me feel comfortable the whole time. She is a perfectionist, and let me tell you down under looks great! One great thing is that she can text message as well, which was very convenient for me! If I could give her a million stars I would. read more

When I move to a new area, there are a few people I seek out first and that includes someone who can do a good Brazilian! Lol! Priorities, people! Maria is amazing! She made me feel extremely comfortable, is easy to talk and does such an amazing job! I highly recommend making an appointment to see her!! read more

I have seen Maria a few times for my Brazilian and I have never left disappointed! She is very personable, caring and did not make me feel awkward one bit! I am new to Washington so I was really apprehensive to find a new person to go to for such a sensitive area. But I am so happy I found Wax Appeal! On another note, not only does she have a great personality, she knows her stuff! My appointments are always quick and painless (almost). She has a few products available to help prevent ingrown hairs but never pushes you to buy them. She always lets me know alternative products I can find at the drug store and other methods that help. All around 5 star experience at Wax Appeal. I encourage you all to give her a call! read more

Maria is amazing! She is professional, funny, personable, and most importantly-she is real. From my first appt. way back when I felt comfortable with her, she knows what she is doing and really cares that you walk out of your appt. happy. Prices are comparable to other places you would find around town, probably even a little cheaper! Her place is clean and cute, akin to her overall business! If you're searching around for a new waxer in the area or you're a first timer-- she will be a great, if not, the best choice for you. Maria knows what she's doing, you'll be in good hands. read more

GO TO HER! There is a reason she has no reviews below 5 stars, she's that great. She was my first and only, I've been going to her for over a year now since I originally found her on Living Social. She is so professional without compromising personality, fun and a wonderfully personal connection. I love her, you'll love her... she's the best. read more

Maria is amazing! She's very thorough, efficient, and friendly. I also love that I can text to make an appointment!

Maria is a great! She is very friendly, she works quickly and is accommodating to her customers. Her work place is extremely clean and she uses good wax (not the cheap kind). This would be a good place to go if it is your first time waxing, she is just super understanding and would walk you through the process. I have nothing negative to say about wax appeal, really great business!! read more

I got my very first Brazilian wax ever from Maria about 2 years ago, and she's been my go-to-lady ever since. She's the best ever! I had many questions for her at the beginning and she answered them patiently and made me at ease with the whole process. She even followed up with me to see if there were any questions or concerns a couple days later. She's so friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgable, and very professional. I've referred her to all my friends looking for an aesthetician and they love her too. She even went out of her way to help me look for an aesthetician when I moved out of state! She's so awesome. I'd give more than 5 stars if possible. read more

Wax Appeal, located on the west side of Olympia in a very comfortable, inviting environment, where you are warmly greeted by its owner, Maria. I have had several "great experiences" at Wax Appeal; multiple waxing's on different areas of my body - all were done professionally but with a warm humorous personality to lighten the effects of having hair pulled from your body. I have also experienced an amazing facial and even gotten my husband to visit this establishment twice. Give Maria a call, she will treat you well and offers affordable pricing. I will continue to be a repeat customer - Thank you Maria!!! You do a Great Job!!! read more
