My friends and family have been telling me to go here for years and years, but I was never interested. I am not body shy, and being around naked women does not bother me. I just had no desire to go until a few days ago when I booked a massage and got a day pass. I thought it would be a nice treat for myself. It was a wonderful amazing experience! All staff I met were friendly. Given a tour of the place when I checked in. Robe, towels, and cap also given at check in. My massage therapist was Alex. She is so tiny but got some real strong hands. This girl does NOT need a man to open a pickle jar. I went to the FIR rooms. I tried all 4 rooms, which have different temperature ranges. I then realized, I don't like hot rooms so I went to the cold room. The pool area which also have about 4 different pools with different temperatures ranges. I went for the cold pool, the temp says it was 60-65 degrees but I felt like it was a little colder than that. Overall, I fell in love with this place. I did not get to try their restaurant, but I will once I go back. They have water you can buy or you can bring in your own. Also, NO PHONES. Don't wait too long like I did, and give this place a try! read more

I'll be honest, this is one of the only day spas I've been able to find in the Tacoma/Puyallup area. My friend and I did go in on a Saturday and as expected it was extremely busy. The cons: I do not think I received the quality customer service that should be expected when being a first timer. When I checked in, I paid, did not receive any towels, bathrobe, or hair cap, so I had to go back to the front desk to get this because I didn't realize everything was needed when you get into the locker room. I also wasn't given a short tour or any kind of knowledge about what's available in the spa. There was a lot more options than I was aware of until another patron was kind enough to give us a tour and (shout out) Suzie let me know about the different options available after my scrub. The body scrub is a little in your face if you get the body scrub done in the pool area. If I were to get another body scrub, I would specifically ask to do it in the second room because there's a less traffic. As a first timer, it was definitely not something I expected, and I did not mean to stare, but holy crap what an experience. The services are a little pricey. I love getting facials but $90 for a 30 minute facial seems a little too pricey for myself when I currently already go to different spa to get my facials and it's about $120 for an hour facial. Might just be a preference, but, I will probably give Olympic Spa at least a chance to get experience their products and see if there's anything I really enjoy. Pros: You can literally stay all day. There is a restaurant that you can have lunch at and there are a lot of great options for you to do for the time that you were staying at the spa. I did the body scrub and was actually able to move my 6 o'clock appointment to 315 due to a last-minute opening. Suzie was amazing and tried to make me feel a little better about all the dead skin that was coming off of my body. The water options at the front have some great selections, however, they are $20 each. I bought one for each of us and I will be bringing that back with fruit inclusions for the future. Or DIY it and add some cucumber, strawberries, pineapple to your water to give it a real good relaxing vibe. And finally, it is a little strange when you are not used to seeing naked people, like ever, and seeing a room full of naked members. After 10 minutes though, you're used to it and it's pretty normal. I think the whole setting is set up for you to be your most comfortable self. And if you aren't comfortable with being butt, naked nasty your first time there, the quiet room, rooms, and cold room give you an option to keep your robot and still experience some of the amenities. Since there are obviously no photos/phones allowed in any of the spa areas, the only pictures I will be able to provide will be the food. Which is super convenient because it's in the spa and you just go in in your robe. I will definitely be returning. And I'm looking forward to my future adventures. Due to the customer service, which is one of the main things I look for in this type of service, I'll be giving it a three star review. However, when I go back, I will be reevaluating this review based on the customer service I experience at that time. read more

As an avid Korean spa goer who's visited spas across Asia and the U.S., this experience fell short. Paying nearly $200 for a massage and then being charged an additional $50+ for admission is unreasonable--the day pass should be included with services. The atmosphere also lacked true spa vibes: no calming music, excessive talking from guests and even staff, and little enforcement of quiet. The pools had an odd smell, and were small/overcrowded. During the hours I was there, I didn't see any water testing, which is concerning. Lastly, the no-phone policy is overly strict. I understand no photos or sound, but banning phone use entirely in fully clothed areas is unnecessary and uncommon based on my experience. There's potential here, but these issues need to be addressed to justify the pricing. read more

I heard of Olympus from a few people since they opened up their Lynnwood and Tacoma options several years ago. After completing 2 cross country drives in less than a year, I was in major need of a spa day! I called in and requested one of the packages which included the all day pass, a body scrub, moisturizer, then a massage. It was so worth it! Being among all women in a spa gives a different sort of space and ease to get the reprieve you are looking for - feels a bit like a different world in there! Its nice to see friends, mother and daughter, or arriving solo , come and unwind. The staff are all really sweet, shoutout to Yumi who was such a sweetheart and helped me keep to my spa schedule while suggesting various methods to get my body oriented - theres a variety of spa rooms (himalayan salt, charcoal, mud room, etc) as well as different temperatures of soaking pools and spa or steam rooms. Definitely make a day of it when going, you're going to want to take your time! The tea room is super cute and I did try out the restaurant inside (I ordered a bibambap bc i was in middle of my spa appointments), which was delicious and so needed! read more

I went for my birthday this week, and it was a mixed experience. Many reviews say not to come on a weekend, so I came Monday. It was still pretty noisy, which half the time came from the loud front desk staff. I had the least expectations from the soaking pools and day pass offerings, but they turned out to be way better than I thought. I got the premium scrub, which was excellent. I'm not entirely soft yet, but my God did the girl try. My biggest complaint was the seaweed wrap. The woman doing it seemed extremely scattered like she didn't know what she was doing, made comments like she was half trying to talk me out of it due to her own claustrophobia, and then forgot my name multiple times. I got called Raquel, Rochelle, and Melissa despite my corrections each time. But the wrap itself was a massive rip off. Barely any paste smeared on belly, back, arms and legs, loosely wrapped in a thin plastic sheet for 35 min. She kept coming in and out every few minutes to check on me even though I told her I didn't need her too. And the cucumber mask was a paper sheet mask of a brand I can grab from any supermarket. She had troubles putting it on and ended up smearing it all over my mouth. I'm curious to try out the Lynnwood location but I absolutely will not bother wasting $140 on another wrap. read more

Like other reviews have said, this place is crowded and noisy - not relaxing at all. It's hard to get in any of the hot tubs because there are so many people in them. I got a moisturizing treatment and the woman made circles around my breasts 20 times - I counted. Once or twice wouldn't have bothered me, but 20 times over the course of my massage felt excessive and uncomfortable. I just wanted it to be over. I won't be back. read more

Celebrated my 70th Birthday at the Spa with my Bonus daughter on January 12th. My first time there and it was fabulous! I live in Indiana and wish this Spa was also there. What a treat! If you're looking for a restful spa day, look no further. Olympus Spa has it all: a full bath room with different temperature baths, a wet and dry sauna, and multiple hot rooms. They also offer a lot of different relaxation services, and have an in-spa restaurant with yummy Korean food. My roommates and I loved it. We booked our own services plus the separate day pass, and the tea room pass. To be honest, the tea room was just alright, so if you're not a big tea fan I'd skip that. But the baths, all the different rooms... a dream! It was really clean and the staff was helpful. One thing to note: it's required to be completely nude in the bathing area. I didn't know this, and neither did my roommates, so it came as a bit of a surprise. Luckily it ended up being a great experience regardless -- but if you aren't comfortable with this, even though the spa is female-only, this prob isn't the place for you. read more

I have pretty much zero negative things to say about this place, truly a hidden oasis in Lakewood that may not look like much from the outside but presents a beautifully calming experience the minute you walk through the door. I received a massage as well as a traditional Korean body scrub which gave me access to the fantastic amenities that this spa provides. The massage was nothing short of absolutely amazing, so amazing that I was quite literally knocked out and snoring throughout a majority of it. Though I did not get my massage therapists name, her hands were magic. The amenities were super great, this is a traditional Korean spa that is woman only which does mean that the steam room/ water pool amenities are to be used fully nude, weirdly enough nothing about that felt super uncomfortable, everyone was in their own little world focusing on relaxing and enjoying the spa bliss. Now for the Korean scrub, I honestly had no idea what to anticipate, I walked into the scrub not knowing what to expect and left a changed woman in more ways than one. This scrub takes place in a well lit room with a more medical ambiance, when I tell you they scrub every crack and crevasse of your body I am not at all exaggerating, it's not that typical that you experience someone else scrubbing all nooks and crannies as you stare at the ceiling wondering 'how did I get myself into this position and what the h*ll did I sign up for'. Half of me would consider this experience to be exhilarating, the other half would say that it left me more traumatized than my parents divorce. None the less, I left with soft baby smooth skin and a luminous glow that was much needed. Overall, super fun spa, the food is amazing, I would return! read more

I love the Olympus spa! It is a women only Korean naked spa that I've been going to for 10 years now. If you haven't been, it has 4 hot tubs, 1 cold tub, a wet sauna, dry sauna, cold cabin room, lounge, and 3 hot rooms. It also a tea room with a blueberry tea that is a must have and yummy food in Famous Joe's delicious restaurant. Hannah always takes good care of everyone as quickly as she can. While there have been lots of services that I haven't tried yet, I know for sure from personal experience that a scrub never disappoints. It leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Sometimes the hot tubs and hot rooms aren't as hot as they're labeled to be because they need time to warm up immediately after opening or some people have complained about them being "too hot" because they haven't stayed hydrated..what can really make or break your experience (if you let it) is the people. Some people that go lack the common courtesy to leave the busy restaurant after they've finished eating which makes it hard to clean up quickly for other patiently waiting eager customers. It's a small place so make some space for others. There are also some people that need "spa voice" reminders but I don't believe that should reflect poorly on this wonderful healing place and I definitely don't want to let it ruin my great experience. It's out of my control and not worth it, nor is it the spa's fault. On the other hand, there are people who are kind, make new friends and are truly inspiring. Buy a scrubbie for home, take a well-deserved self care day and don't forget to bring a book and a water bottle. Been going for 15 years. This place is my sanctuary; can't say enough good about it! I normally just go for day use and scrub myself at the sit down showers at the end of my visit. Staff is very friendly and the place is clean. If you have never been to a Korean spa before, it's nice to go with an experienced friend who can show you the ropes. But if not, they will give you a tour. A little sad they close earlier now, but that's the only thing I could possibly complain about. read more

I love me some Olympus Spa ! I felt the need to review them because I've seen many reviews that I believe do not accurately represent their massage department. I go to this spa regularly & have seen nearly every single massage therapist at this location and have never had a bad experience.. yes, they are all different but you know what? That's what makes them special. Every one of them is skilled in something different from the rest. A few of them are amazing at deep tissue, others have a more relaxing style that could put you right to sleep & I feel all of them have been able to manage when I want something in between those two. As a former licensed massage therapist myself with a decade of experience I can tell you one thing for sure: YOUR MASSAGE THERAPIST IS NOT A MIND READER! I understand it's an awkward position for you to be in laying on a table naked when you're not exactly loving the massage you're receiving but i empower you to communicate that your massage is not what you expected it to be, because if you don't then YOU ARE DOING A GREAT DISSERVICE TO BOTH YOURSELF & THE THERAPIST. The way to handle this situation is as soon as possible (as soon as you know this is not the type of massage/service you want) RESPECTFULLY COMMUNICATE to your service provider "I have to be honest, this massage is not what I was expecting" & say why !! "Because the pressure is too light & I feel you aren't getting my knots" or "That technique hurts & is making my low back feel sore" or "I really want to relax but it's difficult to do so when you're talking" whatever the reason may be, TELL THEM !!!!! I know some of you are thinking well I don't want to insult them or it's just too uncomfortable to speak up but waiting until after your session & going to the front desk to complain to their manager or just going home & writing an angry negative yelp review about your experience without allowing them the chance to make adjustments on their end in an attempt to better serve you, that's a hell of a lot more insulting. If we are not aware that you are unhappy with the service you're getting then we have not been properly given the opportunity to adjust, learn & grow. Speak up to be fair to your service provider because as much as we'd like to be able to - again we don't have the ability to read your mind ! Also, Say you speak up & respectfully communicate your needs back to the therapist & they still aren't doing the service you hoped for 5-10 minutes later then speak up again & say "I would like to end this session now" & they will leave the room and let you get your robe back on & leave because that is what we are trained to do in that scenario. If you feel like this person is wasting your time then you should speak up and Ta da! Your time won't be wasted anymore !! This is YOUR massage , not theirs & you have the power to speak up to say what it is you want and you have the power to end it early if you so wish to... it's also possible if another therapist there has an opening at that point in time or later that day & you still want a massage there that day they will do their very best to schedule you into that other therapist's empty spot if you just ask & if they don't have any other availability or you just don't really care to try a massage with someone else that day after that, then they'll refund you your money for the massage that you ended early when you request that from a manager - plain & simple ! & that goes for all services like body wraps, facials or scrubs if you're not comfortable with the service &/or provider. Another tip: If you find a therapist or two that you love -try to stick with them if at all possible instead of going to a therapist entirely new to you so you're less likely to be put in that situation in the first place & you'll have a service you know is enjoyable for you. Maybe it doesn't seem like it to you but the practitioners & management are doing the best they can. Their job is not as easy as some may think - it's physically, mentally & emotionally draining when you're constantly trying to please every customer that walks in & with all the different personalities in the world it's impossible to please every single one of them but these therapists clearly love what they do & they will at least try to provide you with the best service possible. They're human beings like you so of course they don't get everything perfect every single time so just try to have a little more patience & understanding. You're at the freakin' spa for god sakes!! Be grateful you have the opportunity to even go to a spa to soak in hot tubs & get a service or two or three that cost $100+ each... not everyone is as fortunate to have that kind of time or money to do this even once in a blue moon! All woman's spa. Complete nude with robe and towel cover-up. From the check in to exit it was experience within itself but I waited to write my review because I wanted to compare it to another spa. This spot offers some amenities that I think could improve for instants the rooms and pools are really small and I know it's Covid but if it wasn't what or how many people will they allowed in at one time. AnyWho the tea bath was amazing. You're still required to wear mask while in the facility they do ask that you social distance but it's not possible to happen when everyone's walking freely within the day spa. Overall if you're looking for a place to relax, reset and revive ... give yourself a treat and check this place out. read more

Huge fan of this spa, my friend finally convinced me to come with and I am so glad I did. The atmosphere is so relaxing and I love how they had a few choices for the dry saunas in the main area before entering the hot tub area. I loved all the options for soaking, I think I recall 5 different temperature tubs. I also opted for the body scrub, and oooooh myyy goodness that was the best. I felt like a snake who had just shed its skin. June was amazing and checked in with me multiple times during the service to make sure I was okay. I love love love this place for a me-time, self-care day. Relaxing and the right price to unwind with a day pass (even though they just increased day pass rates). Perfect for cold-hot water therapy (5 different temp tubs - 2 on the hotter side, 2 lukewarm and 1 cold with waterfall), FIR saunas with elemental features like mud/jade, Himalayan salt, charcoal (4 large rooms), dry sauna and steam room, and a cool cabin room, and lounge with foot massagers. The spa is naked for women only (but don't worry you get over yourself in like 3 minutes--there are all kinds of body types here and zero body shaming)--the FIR saunas, cold cabin room, lounge, tea room and in the restaurant you wear a provided robe. They also do full body scrubs ($) in the Korean style, and offer massage ($) (I really enjoyed massage here with Brooks). For those who would DIY, there is a bench shower row where you can bring a scrub cloth, sit on a stool and get to work. Mugwort tea splash available to disinfect/tone after use. I highly recommend not skipping the cold water plunge if you can help it--always helps me sleep a bit better. The restaurant is so so good also - I enjoy getting the beef bulgolgi with veggie stir fry--but everything is good, including their complimentary appetizer tray of quick pickles that seems to rotate daily. Bring water in a non-glass bottle, or buy one there--and prepare to unplug because of course no cell phones allowed. Camp out, bring a book you don't mind getting wet or hot! In my experience lull times seem to be late afternoon/early evening when the people who came for the morning are leaving, and the evening group hasn't settled in yet. Honestly, this place was awesome for stress relief. I was so happy to find a place that was open during these challenging times When you walk in, they immediately make you sanitize your hands and take your temperature. Everyone has their own locker space and towel and must wear a mask at all times. Rooms are limited for social distancing and all employees wear masks. Anyways, this is a Korean Spa so you must be comfortable with seeing naked ladies. You really get used to it and it'll seem normal after a while. They have steam rooms, saunas, salt room, charcoal room, cold spa, hot spa... and many other things available for you while you wait for your service. I got a massage and a body scrub. The body scrub was amazing. They literally scrub every inch of your body and you can see all the dead skin being removed. It's kinda gross because it makes you think if you wash your body good enough lol. The massage was really nice. The room was perfect temperature and the music was so relaxing. The only problem I had was there was a loud noise outside that was coming into the room. I drowned it out after a while, but I could see how that could pose problems for others. BACTERIAL INFECTION FROM THEIR HOT TUBS! I took my mom here for Mothers day, and got the worst bacterial infection called Bacterial folliculitis which is known to come from unclean hot tubs. I had a rash on my breast immediately after I left and just thought it was from the scrub, so of course I thought it would go away. Well 2 days later, my entire body was covered in rashes. I went to the doctors and they gave me the diagnosis and immediately put me on antibiotics. I called the spa and told them immediately and they refused to give me a refund, even after I sent them my doctors note and photographs. They just gave me their lawyers information? One of the worst experiences of my life 3 weeks later I still have terrible rashes. read more

Wow.. what a crap day here! Where do I even start!? Was it the incredibly cold & unwelcoming greeting at the front desk? Was it the fact that it was overly crowded full of women talking loudly? This was more of a pool party then a spa.Was it the fact that people inside the restaurant thought it was okay to park it at a table for 45 min and not give anyone else a chance to eat? I found that really unfortunate. Literally not a single seat. Maybe share? What finally made me leave angry is that when I went into the locker room, I couldn't get in my locker or I would've had someones buttcrack in my face (no thanks) - I patiently sat to wait for the lady to leave. When I finally got an opportunity to reach my tiny locker, near the floor- in the corner of a tiny room, two women came up and stood there- staring at me, just as I was about to change, waiting for me to move so they could get into their lockers! It was ridiculous. At this point with the overcrowding and noise I was done. I ended up taking my clothes to the bathroom and changing -to keep my dignity. I do not recommend this "spa" as a place to heal or chill. I was repeatedly being run into, while nude, by others, wcouid not use the full facilities and was rudely treated by the front desk. Also/ they no longer provide cups for the water- so you can buy their water bottles up front. For $53 they cannot even provide water? In a spa??? I may never go again. I wish I could get a refund for my extremely poor experience today. After 12 years of being a faithful visitor and supporter, I will say they need to make some massive changes, as its list its quality. read more

drove from portland just to try out this spa. tbh the outside this place looks shabby, but inside is just magical i got a body scrub with Alina and a massage with Quay and i literally walked out a different person. they were so skilled at what they did and took time to make sure i was comfortable. i could easily spend an entire afternoon here, there are so many options for a relaxing day. not to mention that the staff is so friendly and helpful. i left feeling refreshed and revitalized. 100% worth the drive already looking forward to coming back! read more
