I had a very great experience and loved the result of my lash lift and tint the first time I came here in August 2021 but my second time in December 2021 was not as great. Here's a side by side of the finished product immediately after both times. Disappointed, but hopefully they can fix it so they look more curled. Definitely would have recommended this place after my first appointment but am a little hesitant to recommend now, knowing it can be hit or miss. I will say they were very sweet and accommodating to try to get me back in to get what I wanted. Update: I waited about an hour after my appointment to get them retouched and they look much better. Got my lashes done for the first time ever and they came out better than i thought. I was 15 min late and was lucky they still took me in! Chloe, my technician, had hands of an angel. I barely felt her touching me. The lashes feel nonexistent. This is my first time but i thought it would hurt or irritate me but not at all. It did take about 2 hrs though but I am not complaining! I went my first time this morning to Sua I believe for a last lift and tint. My lashes were very stubborn, and she was very patient with them! I went in early, so it was empty and relaxing. The lashes on my right eye didn't take as well as my left ones, and I noticed them falling more and more through the day. Their phone wasn't working, so I called the owner, Susie (who's number is conveniently on their website), and she gave me all the information I needed, telling me I could get my one eye fixed at no charge. I booked the appointment for 6:00 today and was out in 20 minutes! My Lashes now look very good and I can't wait to come back!! Update- I went to a new lash place who was more cost efficient in the same building. The lady only uses all natural products, and told me that the key to lash lifts is hydration. She showed me my lashes and explained how they had been fried and not hydrated at all, severely damaged by my first lift at Luxury Lashes. She did a hydration mask on me for free, and had to reschedule my appointment for a later date because of how damaged my lashes are. I tried a couple places around the NOVA area and this is by far the nicest place. The salon is very well decorated and welcoming. The receptionist is friendly and will give you a call as a reminder. The table are confortable, nice music is playing and the techniciens are willing to make chitchat or just let you fall asleep...I love it :-) Soo, a master technicien, did my lashes. Honest, unbiased review from a first-timer experience, exactly how everything happened: I bought a Groupon to start doing eyelash extensions in February for my wedding in May. Upselling: Before starting, they assured me that the lashes last 4-6 weeks. This was very misleading because it lead me to believe that refills are required every 4-6 weeks. Logical, right? Wrong. After your first full set is finished, they inform you that you need to come in ever 2 weeks for refills. Otherwise, you will get charged for a full set. Classic bait and switch. At that point, the lashes were already on, and I did not have a choice. From then on, be prepared for up-selling. You need the special mascara, the face wash (bottle of very watered down soapy water), deluxe fill instead of regular fill, full set instead of refill, etc. It's expensive. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $200 per month on their basic refill+tip maintaining these AFTER you get your first full set. Process: The process is very unpleasant. An alcohol-soaked pad rests on the corners of your eyeballs for 1-2 hours. This is required because they need to tape down your lower lashes. It burns the whole time and you leave with vampire-like bloodshot eyes, still burning for hours. I'm half surprised nobody has gone blind from this. The lashes feel crusty and still painful for about 3 days. The glue pulls at your lashes, the lashes poke your eyeball, or you get something in your eye (including one of these lashes) and can't rub it. From then on, I would describe the feeling like going to bed with all of your makeup still on and waking up every morning with gross day-old makeup still on your eyes, all day every day. This is the only lash place I have gone to, so I have nothing to compare to, but my cousin goes to another place and says she falls asleep during the appointment. I was shocked because I could not possibly imagine being able to relax during this horribly unpleasant process. Maybe the process is less unpleasant at other places. I won't try it again anywhere to find out. Appearance: They looked great until they started to fall out, then it goes downhill very fast. While they are in-tact and looking good, it is so nice not having to wear mascara. As far as the lash artists go, I went to 4 different artists, and Seila is hands-down the best one. She seemed to make the unpleasant process a lot less unpleasant than the others, didn't upsell like the others, and just did an overall beautiful job. Post-extension lash condition: IT DOES DAMAGE YOUR LASHES! Don't let anyone or the internet fool you. Your lashes will be damaged and shorter than ever. I really hope mine grow back to what they were before I started this :( read more

I was weary about going to this place to get a refill on my lashes based on some of the reviews I've read on here but this place is wonderful. Keep in mind that if you've been here before the groupon will not apply. It's for first time customers only and when you make an appointment online you must call and check to see if the lash techs that are working that day are compatible with your groupon. Only certain lash techs are able to do the service with the groupon, I think that's why some people may have been upset writing a review on their services. My lash tech was Salmaz and she is an absolute sweetheart and she knows exactly what she is doing. She has a lot of experience with doing lashes and she knows what looks good and what quality lashes look best. If you've gotten your lashes done at a place where they don't know what their doing and there is viable glue on your lash line then they are unable to "refill" your lashes she would have to remove all of them and start over. If they have to do that the groupon will also not apply to that and you'd be charged for a full set. Hopefully this review was helpful because there are some people who are unaware of these regulations. But overall I think this place is very professional. I had no issues making the appointment and checking to make sure someone would honor my groupon and I've never received such excellent customer service when it came to Salmaz. I would highly recommend this place but to also keep in mind the regulations I mentioned in order to not have a bad experience. :) read more

Went in today for the first time to get extensions. Agree the place is well decorated and the people seem nice. My one problem and why I'm rating them only a 3 is because I paid extra for the "volume" lashes but I really think it's just the regular classic or some strange in between because it definitely doesn't look like the pictures she show med. My lashes do not have a lot of volume to them and they are all clumpy. (I've added a pic so you can decide). I've had friends do their lashes and they look a lot thicker and nicer. Also was a little harder to communicate with the women who was doing them. She was very nice just hard to understand and talked a little fast so was hard for me to express my concern. Not sure I'll go back and will probably get my refill somewhere else at this point. Still undecided but thought I'd share. Will re-post or update if anything changes. read more

I have been going here for about 4 years now. All of these ladies are exquisite and masters in their profession. I'm new to the area and decided to try this eye lash studio because they have good reviews on yelp and a friend had recommended them. I bought a 2 visit service, the first initial full set was not bad. But having had lashes done for years I felt she was slower than anyone I've ever had. The second visit was awful. The red headed lash technician was rude, she told me that the length of lashes I got was only for those who perform in Vegas (hmmm I understood that as drag queens, which even if I was why would you say it with a negative connotation) she said she doesn't like doing lashes that are that long because they are unhealthy and will ruin my lashes the entire time I laid on her bed she had nothing nice to say. Apparently her 10 years of doing lashes has not taught her that customers should get what they pay for and if they want personal opinions they would ask. I have used the same 15's lashes for over 2 years I like them they fit my eye shape. Her rude behavior and negativity ruined my day and I will never return to this salon. read more

I have had my lashes done several times before moving back to the area, and they have NEVER lasted less than a few weeks at most. I am very disappointed of the end result. First time getting lashes and explained what I wanted and was looking for up front. As Soo, technician, was working on first eye she told me what she was doing. I told I was wanting what she called "cat eye". But she thought what she was doing would make me look younger. Plus it was too late to change it. Yup she was right I look like a plastic doll lashes do not look natural they are all the same length which I explicitly told her I did not want. Wanted some unevenness to give a more natural look. As I continue to express my concern of how I will look and at this point on second eye she states if I don't like it she can fix it the next day at 8 pm - she had an opening. For she knew I was just in town until Friday. We both agreed getting late and told her maybe when I put makeup on will look different. But it didn't I was still looking like the plastic doll with the fake eye lashes. So I called that afternoon and explained to the receptionist what was discussed and would like to come in at 8 pm to get fixed. Was told Soo was with another client and she would have her call me or she would to confirm appointment. I told her ok. At 6 pm still no call and they apparently close at 9 pm. I called a dozen times and no answer and left a couple messages. Thinking the appointment maybe was made I take the hotel shuttle over and arrive at 8 pm and they are closed. No return calls to date. I bought a Groupon for a full set and one fill. The staff said that lashes could last 3-6 weeks depending on how your eyelashes shed/grow, or your shower and make up routines. So that being said I was under the assumption that this would be a $65 expense every 3-6 weeks. WRONG your first eye lash fill needs to be within 2 weeks. At the two week fill they start to up sell you, oh you really need the $85 fill not the $65, then that turns into you need the $115 fill or you need another $225 full set! I had the lashes for 3 months which cost $600 (Groupon $155, $65-115 fills+tip+ $50 make up remover, mascara and eyeliner they said I needed bc oh you can't use your own make up or it hurts the lashes) I did like the look of the lash extensions BUT they completed DESTROYED my natural lashes :( Prior to the extensions I had long natural lashes I am heartbroken and praying that they grow back quickly and as full as they used to be.
