Two weeks later I called to ask where the frames were and got a female employee who essentially told me that it was my fault because I should have called to cancel. Nowhere did the website notify me that the frames were not in stock and that it would take an "estimate" time of 6 weeks to get frame. A business should not charge a customer for a product it doesn't have and might not get to the customer for two months. Not a reputable business. read more

My first exposure to IC! Berlin glasses was during my travel to Europe and I immediately loved the design and style. Searching on Google for these glasses took me to the luxury eyesite website. I am glad it did! I was impressed by the variety of the glasses and how easy to navigate on their website. I had already sent them off to the manufacturer, and they somehow managed to send me back the same pair I sent in by accident. I lost my favorite sunglasses and when the airline could not find them I learned that they were discontinued. I did a little online shopping and found that Luxury Eyesight carried many models from the brand, Mykita, and claimed to occasionally be able to access discontinued stock. The website answered most of my questions but I did have to resort to using the dreaded "contact us" email address. This is often a black hole where hopes and dreams go to die but I got a friendly, helpful and speedy (within 30 min) response from Nate. Nate took care of the entire process for me including finding an out of stock frame even though I was willing to settle for a similar alternative. He also made shipping to one of the series of hotels I was traveling through on business happen with perfect timing. This is an amazing place for friendly service, personal attention when selecting frames, and truly stylish and unique European eyewear. Ask for Ryan - he is super friendly and knowledgeable about everything related to your eyes. He even helps you find a frame that fits your face well and will be honest about it too. I must admit I was very leery about ordering glasses online. Especially high end ones. I was worried they might be cheap replicas. I took the risk and ordered a pair. I was contacted by Melissa within hours that the frame I wanted was not in stock but she traced a pair down from the vendor. As the end of the year was coming around I realized that I put too much money in my flexible spending account and/or happened to be really healthy this year and consequently had to burn some cash quickly. One of my favorite Chicago authors Robbie Rimsky, posted on his facebook page that he was going to be displaying photos at Luxury Eyesight and how they were a pretty cool shop. The shop is filled with a great selection of euro-style glasses that really went in a different directly than the bulky plastic frames I've been wearing for the last year or so. After taking an hour or so with their very patient optometrist, the decision was narrowed down to either a pair of ic! Berlin eyeglasses or a pair of their sunglasses (about $625/each with prescription lenses). Both styles use stamped sheet metal for the frame and have clips instead of hinges which give them a very unique style. The sunglasses were really my first choice but they just wouldn't work when I was out riding my bike so with no regrets I ended up with the eyeglasses. They aren't my everyday pair but the handful of times I've worn them have generated compliments. The shop, the glasses and the guys the run this place are all great. If you're looking for look that's a bit more euro-centric and different than the run of the mill eyeglass shop, definitely check out Luxury Eyesight. read more

Highly recommended! I worked with Ryan to purchase Mykita frames and Crizal Prevencia lenses (both very high quality) that I needed done in less than a week. Those particular lenses are produced in Dallas, but despite the cross-country shipping and precision lens edging processes, Paul and Ryan managed to get the glasses to me in only three days. Ryan is knowledgeable, helpful, and primarily interested in customers having a great experience. Paul is also great to work with and has an amazingly deep and broad insight into eyewear from the styles to the brands to the manufacturing to the competition. Twice they have found discontinued replacement frames for me that nobody else could locate -- once they obtained the frames from the manufacturer in Paris.
