Come Hungry! We have been eating here for breakfast since we moved to Cheyenne a few months ago. We just discovered that they have the most outrageous AND most gigantic cinnamon roles on the planet - they are delicious. Now we know they are a must-have! The balance of the menu is old favorites that are well executed. With a pancake stack that is simply ginormous- see a trend here? --- you can't possibly leave here hungry. A hidden gem in the bustling metropolis of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Black Sabbath poured from the kitchen as we perused the menu filled with names relating to train cars. Small and crowded in a good way with a funky railroad decor. Part of the dining area is an old trolley. Our meals (pancake and sausage, Reuben) were at the high end of standard diner fare. Staff was active and friendly. Time for our meal to be delivered was long but we'll give them a pass on that as they were at peak Sunday lunch crowd. This is a divey diner with diner cooking. We had the pork chop dinner. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were half fresh and half instant The gravy had a lot to be desired. However, for the type of place it was reasonable in taste and atmosphere. I wish i would have had the burger. The people beside us had a burger and it looked like a homemade bun and was huge and juicy. So if you are in for some comfort food - I could recommend this place. read more

Ok, I'm from the Midwest, so this might be a matter of regional taste; HOWEVER, the hamburger was, at best, just ok. The place was really hard to find. And the townie charm was lost on me. The reason I gave three stars and not less? The green chili was really good. I recommend getting that to go...and getting everything else elsewhere. read more

My uncle took me here for breakfast when he lived in the area and it did not disappoint. The one challenge was that I was coming from northeast where portions are smaller. Needless to say, I over ordered with a huge amount of biscuits & gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage and toast. If I am ever back in the area, I am definitely going again. read more

My partner and I had a very early breakfast at the Luxury Diner last October during a cross country road trip. This place is perfect. Just after dawn, the restaurant was very quiet and cozy. The service was friendly. My partner got the chicken fried steak; I don't remember what I had exactly. But they were both delicious and soul-satisfying. A perfect western breakfast. I love diners especially on road trips but this one was just way too greasy and the bacon was overcooked :( there was plenty of bacon and it was good quality but when it's hard and burnt it's no good. Every thing you look for in a diner and more. The food is fresh and delish. My fave is the homemade corned beef hash, best I have ever had. The staff is friendly and the owner greets you at the door and usually seats you. The atmosphere is nice with rail road stuff all around. A must if you are in Cheyenne. read more

The diner is an old Boxcar that has been added on to since it's original placement there. It's a neat little piece of history, but the real reason to go is the food - worthy of a Diners, Drive-ins and Dives trip. The corned beef hash is made fresh and is fantastic. Most of our party had burgers and everyone loved them; real mouth-stretchers. Even the big thick fries they served are unique to them and delicious. The green chili is excellent - the perfect amount of heat. When I'm in Cheyenne again I'll certainly be back. read more

Established in 1926, this is a great little restaurant, especially for the train enthusiast (was a diner car I believe). Food is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful (I love train nostalgia) The place does get busy, so take that into consideration with their limited staff. Met our out-of-town kids there for breakfast this morning. What a great time, great food and just flat up beat. The servers are always friendly and right there for you. I like eating in the original seating area (train car), worth the wait and never usually very long. I had my usual of 20 years, the small Santa Fe breakfast burrito, with their home made green chili and grits. You always get fresh chopped lettuce and tomatoes too. The others had Huevos Rancheros, and sausage eggs and pancake. We ate every bit and it was a make you happy meal. Ice tea is always fresh and their coffee is good! So many places I can't hack the coffee, theirs is great. Good, clean atmosphere, how can a train car not make you smile? read more

Best breakfast in Cheynne, bar none. Been up here off and on since August and tried a few of the local breakfast joints, then I found this little place. It was a bit difficult to find at first, wasn't looking for the the place to be tucked into the corner of 50's style court motel. The place gets crowded quick and it can be slow at times, but well worth the wait. Biscuits and gravy is hardy and huge! A half order here is like a full order in most places I've been through. A big fan of the basic breakfast, eggs, bacon (4 slices is the norm), luxury potatoes, and toast. That's my Saturday mornings here in town. read more

Breakfast was amazing! From the fresh made donut holes, to the delicious Coca Cola pancakes that I had and the Lumber Jack Special with scratch made biscuits my husband had! Everything was spectacular! And of course you can't go to the Luxury and not get a cinnamon roll so got one to go! Service was great too!
