Ahhhhhhh....come here for the vibes. And the delicious and thoughtful drinks and food, even grab and go is extra special. If you have time, or need to stock up, check out the bulk herbs, oils coffee and tea in their unique gift shop.

What an incredible small business this is. It's a small restaurant that makes all sorts of soups and sandwiches. Plus, it's an extremely well organized "apothecary" that has all sorts of neat things. Medical herbs, teas, tea accessories, books and nick knacks. The owner, a delightful and energetic woman named Susan makes the shopping experience personable and educational. She spent ten minutes explaining to me how licorice root helps several maladies and even sourced it in a book for me to read. The prices are reasonable and the store is clean to immaculate. The entire staff treated me like gold and I can't wait to try the various teas I purchased. I so glad small business' like this made it through covid. We would all be lesser of places that this didn't exist. Thank you Susan. Your place is incredible and we are glad we found it.

Wonderful tea shop and apothecary! My husband and I sat to do some work on our computers and enjoyed one of their herbal teas, a Golden Milk, and two scones. All were lovely! The seating is comfortable, the space is beautiful, staff were incredibly friendly, and the guest wifi was fast! They have a wide selection of teas to choose from and recently added coffee to their menu. They also have small bites like quiche, salad, and sandwiches. Perfect place to sit and relax or come get a gift for yourself or a loved one!

The Hawthorn Tree is a beautiful, new addition to downtown Cheyenne. They have a wide variety of products from tea (of course!) & tea ware to essential oils to jewelry. You can stop in for some hot or iced tea to go, or you can enjoy your tea in the peaceful ambience of the store. You can buy loose leaf tea to take home as well. Everything is made fresh and with care. I had a delicious, homemade, savory scone today. There's also some fresh produce in the refrigerator along with cupcakes by Cake Your Breath Away. Upstairs is a meditation room if you want to escape the business of the day and rest for a while. Even if tea isn't your thing, there's something at The Hawthorn Tree for you to enjoy!

Herbs Tea Meditation!! Their website's motto: "We invite you to take a moment for yourself. Relax. Renew. Re-center. Grow." I bought some Organic Chinese Green Tea Combined With Jasmine Flowers that were simply the bees knees. The Hawthorn Tree is a collection of drinks in mason jars, made In-house!! You can order your tea drinks with your own custom blends of herbs, teas and spices! Pastries and salads made daily, all from scratch. They sold some small gift ideas, such as journals, crystals, bracelets, jars of organic powders and teas. (I guess the same stuff they put in their teas?) They have a cool "Not your basic Pumpkin Spice," for this upcoming 2021's fall flavor! The Hawthorn Tree has a COVID-19 regulated-friendly tea room; open for business with socially distancing for your safety. I love the sound of their Grab and Go lunch, 7 Days a week, with Vegan options! All natural sweeteners-no syrups or artificial flavors. A lot of locals also are regulars, because I learned that you can consult with their herbalists, for a custom blend made just for your needs. Yes, they do have books, ingredients, and supplies for all your spiritual and physical healing practices. Such a soothing place to drink tea, read and detox from this crazy pandemic year!

Besto Pesto Turkey Sandwich 1/2 & clementine

Such an adorable little shop. We grabbed some lunch and Kombucha on tap. I had the curried chicken & a Greek salad. It was delish. He had a Pesto Turkey Sandwich, grapes & a clementine. He said it was very good. They have cards, herbs, teas, cute handmade pottery and more than I can remember. They also have a meditation area upstairs that I'll have to check out the next time we're in town.

Lots of travelers find it on Yelp and lots of locals deem it a Nextdoor favorite. The place is bustling on a random Monday filled with people the servers know by name and with those they dutifully seat and meet. We were the latter. Our server was friendly. The place is not a diner by east coast standards but instead a small storefront containing a restaurant. It has a room in front and one in back. With the kitchen and bathrooms in between. The difference here is the food! It is 5 Star Midwest type fair here. Good portions and reasonable prices. Oh my! This place had such good food. It easily was the best meal I ate in a week. We sat down already knowing Guy Fieri ate here but didn't know much else. Somehow through pure chance we ordered the three dishes that are the locals favs as we noticed on a card at the table after ordering. The breakfast burrito was the bomb. Yes, you should order it! The eggs with crispy hash browns inside and your choice of meat, I did bacon, was so tasty with the green chili poured over it. It was plate licking good. The 7220 burrito was also a fave with the pork and the same green chili sauce. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was also so tasty. We didn't stop there because we heard about homemade pie and homemade cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon roll was medium sized with home made icing and lots of cinnamon so decadent. The pies we had, peach & strawberry rhubarb, had flaky buttery crusts and full of fruit. One we did as is and one ala mode with a hearty portion of vanilla ice cream. Sooooo good!

With all the hubbub, it was amazingly quiet. Everyone was talking and enjoying their meals, yet we had no problems hearing each other. The coffee gal had our coffees to us asap, with water, and kept them full the entire meal. Our waitress, Keeley greeted us with a warm smile and friendly demeanor. And before we knew it, our meals were served up hot and oh so scrumptious! I definitely recommend - it's worth the 5-10 minute wait! You won't be disappointed! Be sure to bring a to go container for your leftovers - they use styrofoam

Otherwise, we were mightily disappointed. Saturday, late June ~1pm - we were seated quickly enough. Took a while for the server to take our order (~10 minutes before she came for our drink order) and it took well over 45 minutes for our food to come out! They weren't particularly busy (lots of open tables) and there were a lot of servers. Maybe short staffed in the kitchen? Probably more disappointing than waiting so long was the food itself. Potato soup was "fine" but nothing special and way too much bacon. Three of us got side salads and every single one of us had warm lettuce. Not even room temperature - warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The turkey panini had way more mayo that should be allowed on a sandwich and the bread was barely toasted. We waited so long for our food we couldn't risk sending it back. As it was, we were there for so long we had to change our afternoon plans to go to RMNP because we rain out of time. Fortunately, we live only an hour away so we can go back. If you are looking to maximize your time in Estes I would not recommend Notchtop. Plenty of other options in Estes.
