And the coveted Five Stars from Barry G. goes to…read more..... The Bottled Olive in Windsor! Here we go. This unassuming storefront appeared about 18 months ago in the strip of shops that are just across the parking lot and west of King Soopers. If I average 10 visits to King Soopers per month, that means I've driven by this place nearly 200 times while staring at the sign, wondering how a shop that sells bottled olives could survive, and just being too rushed to make time to stop in and check it out. There's also a dentist office over in that strip of shops - and I maintain a strict 100-foot rule when it comes to those places (except Dr. Owens....see my Yelp on Owen's Dentistry for more details). ANYWAY... So, why the big delay in visiting The Bottled Olive? Well, I guess, I expected olives. In bottles. I've got nothing against bottled olives. In fact, that's usually when olives look their most spiffy. But I drove close enough to the front a few days ago and saw that they offer infused olive oils and vinegars. Hmmmm...mental note, I thought.... So, today, we made a point of checking-off one of my many mental notes and stopped in to check it out. Two things became immediately clear. First, I'd made a giant mistake by not visiting this place way earlier. Second, this wasn't going to be a quick stop. Samples of dips, jams, mustards, spreads and even Bloody Mary mixes lined the walls before we even got to the showcase line-up of 30+ oils and vinegars at the rear of the store. Oil flavors included things like Blood Orange, Peppered Bacon, Avocado, Wild Rosemary, and Sweet Cream Butter. Next to the oils were a wide variety of vinegars such as Cucumber, Toasted Coconut, Mango, Summer Peach, and Spicy Sriracha - along with some more traditional balsamic options. It was nearly too much to process - so we jumped right into sampling! The flavors were incredible, and the staff offered great use suggestions. They also had printed materials with great ways to include their "O&V"s in healthy meals. The store offers all kinds of popcorn flavorings, lots of unique pastas (imported from Italy, no less), various coffees and teas, and some very cool gift ideas. If I wasn't already feeling terrible about assuming "bottled olives" (seriously?), owner Michelle showed us their kitchen and told us all about their cooking classes and their themed evenings where they prepare 5-course meals for attendees while providing insights on how to incorporate their products into a healthy and tasty lifestyle. We checked out their website and cooking schedule when we got home, and we've already booked the "Backyard Daddy's Grub" cooking event with our new friends at The Bottled Olive at the end of this month! A convenient location, reasonable prices, incredible flavors, friendly staff.... wait for it..... OLIVE this place!

The environment just seems so warm and inviting. We called ahead of time to make sure there was no live music for my hard of hearing grandma and they were very sweet. Their card machine went down while we were there and I spoke with the owner while she was trying to fix it and I could really tell how much love she pours into this shop. She was so apologetic and talked about how stressed she was. She was very helpful and I appreciated how helpful she was especially when my grandma asked about a niche tea.

Everyone who works there is warm, kind, and has a ton of knowledge to share when it comes to teas and essential oils. They carry a huge range of loose leaf tea blends, healing herbs, and unique gifts, along with tea sets, books, and little treasures you won't find anywhere else. The food menu had a great selection as well! They offer gluten free choices, which I really appreciated. I ended up getting the gluten free brownie and you can't tell it's gluten free! So decadent and chocolatey. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. Such a charming tea spot in downtown Cheyenne. Would love to come back!

Kailynne answered all of my extensive questions as this was my first time dining here. She was patience and so very kind. Right on a main street in Laramie, it was cozy, decor was nice and it was nice dining in a peaceful environment. Our meals were hot, fresh and spiced perfectly to our tastes. We really enjoyed our meals and I would definitely return!

The food itself was below average, but what really stood out was the poor service from a waiter with long hair. He seemed inexperienced and inattentive. After we finished a shared dish, he cleared not just the serving plates but also our personal plates without asking. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like utensils. He also appeared to pick and choose which guests he wanted to serve water to, ignoring others at the table. When we politely asked for water, he seemed annoyed, and even placed items on the table with unnecessary force, as if to show displeasure. At times, his facial expressions made it clear he was not happy serving us, especially when we spoke with an accent. That felt very unwelcoming. Despite the service, my uncle still left a generous tip because he didn't want to give 0 at any restaurant, but we left with a bad impression. I truly hope this staff member gets retrained. If you're working in hospitality, basic respect and professionalism should come with the job -- no one should feel like they're being a burden just for dining in.

Believe me when I say that there is delicious Thai cuisine in Laramie, WY...must I repeat myself???…read more My parents wanted something different for dinner along our road trip and spending the night in Laramie this restaurant popped up. Upon having a beer at Blacktooth Brewing a block away, we asked the local staff and they highly recommended Anong's. We didn't know that we would be getting such a great experience moments later. Service was wonderful from the start, seated quickly with menus in hand. The waitress waited until we gave the nod to order and came to address us. I suggested noodles for my mom since I have had plenty of Thai when I lived in Portland, OR and that is a safe bet. She ordered the Kee Mao with combo protein little bit of spice. Dad ordered the Panang curry with pork spice level 3 I stuck to the Pad See Ew noodles with chicken. We all were very impressed with the flavors, quantity and perfection on the spice level to what we ordered. Oh, and it came out in less than 5 minutes but it was piping hot, like what? I mean come on, this is exactly what we needed on our trip. I practically had to roll out of there. My mom got half of her meal in a to-go container but dad slurped his bowl of curry dry. If you're considering Anong's for dinner just go please. Experience the authentic flavors!
