I had a really poor experience but a really great pedicure. I made an appointment with 2 of my friends and got there at 11:30 for the appointment. They didn't start our services until 12:30 and 12:45. They didn't even comment on how long we were waiting or apologize for the very poorly scheduled day. The pedicure was great though, and the woman that did it was wonderful. I loved the chairs and they included a glass of champagne. Always enjoy my experience at Luxia. My only complaint as usual is I do hate having my toes and nails done at the same time. I know it saves a lot of time but it does take away some of the luxury of the experience. My nail techs were great and did an amazing job (I love my little nail art). But they do constantly try to upsell you which takes away from the experience as well. She tried really hard to get me to wax my eyebrows despite me saying no unequivocally multiple times. Cons: I was immediately met with 2 options for a manicure: gel or dip. When I said I wanted to look at the colors, the man up front shoved polished nails on a ring in my hand and told me to sit down. I wanted regular polish but decided I could upgrade since it would last longer. I sat down and made a choice from my very limited options. The girl did a good job. I'm not one to normally write reviews, but this felt needed to say. While both my mani and pedi turned out decently well, the comment that Lindsey, the nail tech doing my nails made to me did not sit well with me. My nail design that I showed her was honestly quite simple- a nude base with rhinestones on top. First off, she barely used any glue, which I found odd. Just kept applying a top coat gel polish to get them to stick and stay in place. My fingers are crossed they actually hold up over the next month. However, when placing the tiny pearl like rhinestones on each nail, she told me that this was the one time I could get them done like that because those rhinestones are used for only the middle part of flower designs (?), ( essentially one tiny rhinestone per nail, not multiple) and my design required the use of too many of them. She made me feel bad for using too many when in reality, I am a paying customer so why would I not be able to use any many as I'd like to get the design right? Then, when I go to pay she was very clearly complaining to her boss who was checking me out about how many rhinestones were used because he kept asking to see my nails. They tried charging me for "extra length" to which I got them to remove because I told them she never added any length to my nails, they were already that long when I walked in. Well the outside of the building is beautiful. The name is catchy and the inside is beautiful. However, the service wasn't good. Michael was a sweetheart but I don't think he really knows how to do SNS dip. My nails weren't file correctly, the color was bulky looking with a few specs/chunks. I paid $281.50 for my gel pedicure that was the heavenly, so you mean to tell me I paid $63 for a short "heavenly pedicure for $63 then got charged $22 dollars for gel??? The. my best friend , her daughter and niece all got gel pedicures with French which was an additional $27 like what is going on in this establishment besides pure greed! They charges for the gel and the French pedicure. I mean really this amount I paid was equal to 4 months of gel pedicures for me and my daughter back in NY. This place is high way robbery! The polish job is not even, half of my nail beds aren't painted, the cuticle work is terrible and after 2 days the gel is already lifting. I originally picked out colors that I thought would be similar to the picture I wanted, I showed him and he politely showed me ones that would be better. I have now developed an in-grown toenail. I realized how painful and aggressive my pedicure was but just thought she was trying her best to clip my cuticles. I am very picky about my nail shape as well as how thick the acrylic is and she nailed both perfectly. My last visit here was so disappointing. The lady sliced my finger so bad it was gushing blood and she ripped all of my natural nails completely off. Half way though my appointment she got a phone call and was talking on the phone while doing my nails- she seemed to be taking her anger out on my hands and it hurt so bad I winced in pain and jerked back at least 5 times. I guess another lady noticed bc she came to relieve her and took over. The new lady piled way too much acrylic on my nails and they are so misshapen and thick they look horrible. She also kept asking me if I was getting my eyebrows done too which I never even mentioned do I took offense. When I got done my total was $75 it made me sick to my stomach that I was even paying for this horrifying painful experience. I just moved over to the area and thought I'd try out a new nail salon. I went in it was very nice seemed very clean. The girl who removed my nails did a not so great job, leaving glue all over my hands and made no effort to make my finger nails look good in anyway. For the normal $3 to $5 I would have been more comfortable with my disheveled looking nails but when I received my receipt I noticed that she charged $18 just for the removal of my SNS powder nails. On top of that my nails looked so bad that I asked the man doing my toes to please paint my nails, which was another $12 just for the color. And then $35 for a regular pedicure. All in all with tip I spent $77 on literally the shittiest manicure/pedicure I've ever received. And for anyone that wants to argue that maybe they made a mistake let me shut you down right there. I went back in and I asked Katie if it was really a thing to charge $18 for SNS removal even after I had the color added. She said yes. This time I asked for a mani and pedi, with dip on my hands and gel on my toes. I came with my girlfriend to get our toes and fingers done. Both of us showed pictures of what we wanted. For me I only wanted a little glitter on one nail. She kept trying to get me to get what she wanted me to have. This is a constant problem with salons. She even pulled out the diamonds though I asked for glitter.... She tried to get to get chrome instead of glitter. I wanted glitter. Guess you can't even pay and get what you want from them. I was charged $70 for nails worse than what a blind new born could do. The nail tech added two additional charges for manicure and the shape I wanted for my nails which was almond but in the charges he called them "French". He did not even give me a manicure and since when was almond nails extra. He did not even make then almond-shaped. Also, he did not even do the final layer on my nails. When I addressed these things he insisted I just pay. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I would heavily suggest not going here unless you want the WORST nails you ever had. read more

I received a Shellac nail service. It last less then a week . I called explaining and took pictures of what was going on . They said no problem come in. When I sat down they said I should do the dip it will last longer. I explained I just paid for my shellac less then a week ago . They said no problem. I did do the dip they charged me over $35 gave me $14.00 off . I couldn't believe this . I should of not been charged anything. They also always want Cash !!! He said no problem Come in this Monday 11/15/2021 i explain to him I was charged last time for a service that had poor quality. He said no problem he put no charge in the book where my appointment was . I came 30min ahead of my appointment to soak off. I had my service dog . He question me about my service dog . I explain he is a Service Dog . One of his employees spoke in a different language which I understand. Saying the dogs hair is not good . I told him I understand what they said . He said they didn't say this . After he soaked my nails he gave me a bill of $48 I told him you gave me the appointment and told me it's free he agreed of my service.
