Went in for consult. They use the cheapest extensions, the kind they advertise on INstagram for $9.99 for a bunch of hair. It felt terrible. The owner of the salon first didn't return my call back for a couple of days, so I called her again. She was so rude. I went into her "salon" anyway. It was in her basement! THere were food containers and trash everywhere. Some random dude kept coming in and out--she said he was her "renter." I couldn't believe someone did business there. Then I saw the hair she was using. No thanks. FOr $1000 for extensions, I don't need cheap hair. I can get that anywhere. She also was taking picture of my hair without my permission. I asked her what she was doing and she was like "oh these are for the before and after." Why don't you ask ME?? I don't want my pictures on your fake instagram anyway. Damn, girl. She was on my last good nerve. She was SOOOO rude when I didn't want to move forward with her service. She kept saying I owed her money?? And kept texting me getting more and more rude. What? This was the craziest, most ratchet "hair salon" I've been to and that is saying a lot. The last and I mean LAST straw was when she send me a text and said I "better not write a Yelp review" because she didn't even do my hair, this was only a consult. Whatever. I'll do what I want. I hadn't even thought about putting this all up on Yelp until she threatened me. Do what you want but Imma tell what happened to me. This bish is whack. She will NOT tell me what I can and cannot do. Yes, my Microlink Hair Extensions was worth every dime. Years ago, I normally didn't pay these prices for hair extensions, and I know that there are many places that you can go that do a good job for a lower price and other places are double the price, however after meeting Monica and having her personal services over the last 2 years, I'm not ever looking back. I travel over an hour one way commuting to her every 2-3 months to have my privacy one on one hair extensions done in her beautiful home. Her large walk out basement has been converted to a full service salon with high end salon equipment & decor that has many salons beat with a big screen TV! She greets me with a hug and I feel at home everytime I see her with her undivided attention resolving with her hair expertise that includes her photos showing my progress in every visit that assures me that my own hair is taken care of through this investment. Her maintenance plan is totally affordable and I pay around 1/3 of what I originally paid for the install and the top quality hair and color services together. Her talents are so artistic and she customizes brunette colors on my hair extensions to match my existing hair color and texture from just our phone consultations! On average I reuse the hair 3-4 times before buying a new set of hair. The hair lasts around 12 months! I definitely recommend Monica because I get compliments on how great my own hair looks because people don't even think that I'm wearing hair extensions and that's the reaction that I want to continue to have from others! read more

She takes the time to explain what she's doing to your hair and the best products for your hair. If your hair is breaking off, looking to go natural, in need of a perm, etc... Monica has you. I deicided to purchased two specialious.com deals for me and my daughter. I called for weeks with no answer and was never able to leave a voicemail cause it was always full. After finally getting through, I asked Monica if I could make an appointment for two people for a mani/pedi and she told me there was nothing until after December 1. I went ahead and scheduled for the middle of December for what I thought was 2 appointments since it was over a 2 hour period. My normal mani/pedi in a established nail salon normally only takes an hour. On the day of app was another disaster, found doors locked, had to stand in cold to wait for her to open door....than to find out that she only scheduled one app for 2 hours and told me that it takes 2 hours every where for a mani/pedi. I asked her to reschedule but she couldn't accommodate me and my daughter so I just walked out extremely frustrated. I even emailed Specialious to inform them of the bad/rude treatment. Two years ago, I had had an issue with getting my hair to grow for as long as I could remember. So, I started looking into getting extensions. As a working mother I never have a moment to myself. When I saw the mani and pedi deal they were running on specialious, I just had to get it. I called the salon to get an appointment. Once I confirmed that I could make that appointment, the girl sent me a google calendar invite! I was able to just put that straight into the calendar on my iphone! I went to get my mani and pedi and I was completely blown away. It was just me in the salon! She had the tv on and I asked if I could watch an episode of my favorite show. She turned it on the big screen tv for me. I sat back and relaxed and enjoyed my private spa treatment. I actually paid $20 dollars for the mani and pedi deal. But I actually wanted shellac instead of regular polish and she was nice enough to upgrade me for only $20 more! I mean where can you get a shellac mani and pedi for $40 dollars total!!!! She was super sweet and the salon prices are so reasonable, especially for a private salon! I already booked my next appointment! read more

Monica Jones is hands down the best hair stylist I've ever been to. I got microlink extensions, my hair dyed and a shampoo and cut. She has worked with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted and given me advice on what would work best for my hair. When I got to Luxe Studio today Monica greeted me with a warm smile and immediately made me feel at ease. Her in home salon is better than most salons I have been to. It is absolutely beautiful, the newest equipment and even comfortable chairs! Monica is the so sweet and knowledgeable and listened to everything I had to say. Monica is Great! She knows her Business so well. Her services feel like they are specifically catered to your hair. She is all about healthy hair and GLAM. This is my first weave ever and I am so fortunate that it was with Monica. I have healthy, relaxed, shoulder length hair, so I did a lot of research before getting a weave, because I didn't want any damage.
