The hot stone portion of the pedicure was also disappointing. The stones were barely warm, and the towels used during the service appeared dingy and worn rather than fresh and clean. What truly horrified me, however, was the lack of sanitation practices I witnessed. While cleaning my toes, the technician rinsed the tools in the dirty pedicure water that my feet had been soaking in and then returned those same tools to his clean workstation. Seeing instruments cleaned in used pedicure water and placed back with supposedly sanitized tools was extremely concerning and raised serious questions about hygiene and infection control. A pedicure should be a relaxing, clean, and safe experience. Unfortunately, this experience was none of those things. Due to the technician's behavior, the poor quality of the service, and the serious sanitation concerns, I will not be returning.

I would leave a zero star review if I could. My daughter went to get her nails done, and the nail…read moretech waited until she was halfway through the service to tell her she could not do the design she wanted because she didn't have an air brush. When my daughter asked if they could do a different color then (because she didn't want just neon pink nails) the technician grabbed some white polish and started painting hearts on her nails. My daughter said she didn't want hearts, and if she couldn't do the design that she had wanted, she would rather just do a different solid color. The technician insisted that *she* liked the color and refused to change it. When they were finished, not only were they nothing like what she had asked for, but the nails were uneven and very poorly done. In some parts the gel polish was super thick, and in other parts it was so thin that it was transparent. Also, this woman has absolutely butchered my daughters cuticles. My daughter expressed that she was unhappy with the nails and the technician didn't care, they just made her pay and leave unhappy. After this, my daughter called me and I went back in with her requesting a refund, even suggesting they remove the nails, and was told multiple times that they don't do refunds. Eventually I was able to speak with a manager and he said that they could remove the nails and give us a refund. This was fine, as that is what I had suggested in the first place. The woman who did my daughter's nails was then extremely aggressive cutting them down, and then just left her soaking in a bowl of acetone for 20 minutes which did nearly nothing. I asked the manager if they could properly remove the nails, and was told that the only way to get them off was to soak them, which was obviously not true. We ended up just taking our refund and leaving, as at that point I honestly did not trust them to properly remove the nails. My daughter left with her nails and cuticles looking absolutely awful, and had to pay to have them properly removed at a different nail salon. It is worth mentioning that my daughter's friend went with her and also got her nails done, just a fill and design, and hers were also awful. She also requested a refund, and the technician clipped off her tips (that they didn't even put on) along with her natural nail underneath, and left her sitting in a bowl of acetone as well. Both girls left with their nails in horrible condition. The staff very obviously only care about moving as quickly as possible, and couldn't care less about the quality of their work. I would avoid this place at all cost!

This is hands down (pun not intended!) one of the best nail places in the Binghamton area…read more I've tried out other places only because they're a bit closer for me or even out of state while on vacation (even to more expensive, "supposedly better" places) and this place beats them all. This is my go-to spot. I always get a simple gel manicure. The shape and length is always consistent across all of my nails. The polish is perfectly smooth and filled right to the edge every time. I've never had a single gel nail crack or peel from them. If anything, they last so long I only come back because they've grown out too much! But even weeks later, the quality still looks just as good as when I got them. If anything, they last so well that I need to go back to get it removed because it is locked on! I've been to other places for gel nails that end up cracking, peeling, or chipping within the first few days. Or the polish is never smooth (lumpy). I'm honestly surprised at the negative reviews (guessing it's a situation where people don't think to review unless they have an issue). I've never had those issues and I've been going here for over 10 years!

Like why even do nails if they look like this?? Please stop and consider another career cause this is NOT it. Like Id rather have no nails then have these cursed claws. $60??? Are you kidding me not to mention there's glitter all over them too and I didn't ask for that?? Please don't go here PLEASE. I normally don't review places but this nail job was so Nasty I want to try to warn others.

This is the place if you are looking for a little relaxation away from home. I booked the…read moresalt/sauna/steam package for myself and made my first visit the The Spa on a Saturday morning. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming. She gave me a key and showed me to the ladies locker room. The locker room is small. Also, the lockers are right in front of the entrance, so it's not ideal if you're shy. People will come and go as you are getting undressed. They were also assigning the lockers in exact numerical order, so while you are trying to get undressed, there will be another patron just standing there waiting to be able to enter their locker which is right next to yours. It would be helpful if they would at least assign them more broadly, so the other patron might be at the opposite end of the row lockers. I will say though, the locker room was pretty clean. There were hot tea and cereal bars available as well as a selection of various toiletries. It would have been nice to have spa water available in there though. After spending time in the sauna and steam shower, something cold to drink would have been great. I returned to the front desk as instructed. I was given the option of which service I wanted to do first. I opted to start in the salt room, followed by sauna, and end with steam shower. The salt room was very relaxing. It's dimly lit and warm. There is soothing music playing. It was a nice way to start the day. The infrared sauna was also very nice. The sauna is located in a private room so when you book it you have it all to yourself. I didn't know there was a color therapy option on it though until the very end of the session but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. A pitcher of spa water was provided so I could hydrate during that part of the session. My one bit of constructive criticism, the floor of the sauna needs to be cleaned. It was very dusty and hairy. Next it was time for the steam shower. The front desk associate who I had been working with told me "All three knobs have to be on for it to work." Simple enough, or so I thought. I enter the steam shower, expecting just steam. There is a digital on/off switch which I hit. I see three knobs. There is no indicator of which is on or off though. So I turn them all and proceed to be blasted with cold water from every angle. I nearly hit the ceiling! I turned the knobs off as quickly as possible. The chamber began to fill with steam. Once that was figured out, it turned out to be a great experience. For $60, this was a great way to spend 3 hours. I left feeling invigorated. I am sure to return to The Spa at Traditions.
