Panda Nail & Spa - Wonderful pedicure by Susan

I walked into this nail salon with hope in my heart, acrylics off my fingers, and a simple dream:…read moreremove the old nails, get a nice manicure, leave with my natural nails looking like they hadn't survived a tornado. Sadly... the tornado won. The acrylic removal began normally enough, until the technician started drilling my pinky nail with the enthusiasm of someone trying to dig for buried treasure. The drill got so hot I'm pretty sure I saw my ancestors. I very politely said, "Ow, that hurt." She very politely said, "I'll be gentler." And then she proceeded to drill like she was trying to start a campfire. Next came the shaping. I showed her a picture of what I wanted--simple, (trust see pics) cute, achievable. Twice she filed my nails, twice she asked, "Is this it?" and twice the answer was a solid, heartfelt, absolutely not. I explained it. I even used hand gestures. She looked at me with the calm serenity of someone who had chosen violence and ignoring instructions. But nothing prepared me for the manicure. Or should I say... "manicure." There was no warm bowl of sudsy water. No gentle soak. No heavenly lotion. No cuticle oil. Not even the traditional "let me pretend to massage your hands for five seconds." Instead, she did a quick file, a quick snip, and then asked--completely sincerely-- "Do you want a neck massage?" A neck massage. During a manicure. Ma'am, my hands were going through a crisis. The entire experience cost me $35, which feels appropriate only if the service included a surprise psychological plot twist--and in that case, wow, they delivered. In conclusion, the staff was friendly, but the service was like a comedy sketch no one warned me about. I left with confused nails, confused feelings, and a confused neck that did not, in fact, get a massage. I hope this review helps someone. And I hope someday my pinky nail forgives me.

My entire manicure was basically silent I asked for a pink/white ombré dip manicure It was the worst manicure I've had The application looked correct but once finished it's mostly white with no pink I was not asked to check it, nor asked about shape I expect to wash my hands after filing etc. instead the cuticle oil and lotion were applied and rubbed in making my skin feel gritty There was dipping powered or activator dried to my skin all around my fingers. Prices are typical but based on result I would not go back

I normally give pretty good feedback, so this is unlike me, but honestly necessary. I had a…read moresignificantly poor experience my last visit at Naturally Nails and I am sorry to say that, considering that I have been going for years. I had made an appointment for a gel manicure. When I arrived, I was assigned to Eva. As soon as she started to remove my polish with the dremel tool, my nail was burning. I did say- ouch and she turned the rotation down. Again, burning, ouch!, and she replaced the head of the dremel tool. I looked at the one she had been using and it had little tiny spikes on it- like you might use for acrylic nails? She replaced it with a finer bit and it worked okay. She still seemed annoyed with me! She soaked my polish off for 10 minutes and when she returned, scraped most of the rest of the polish off. Then she started to file off what was left around the edges, running up against my cuticle and cutting it in two places. It was the holidays, so looking for that 'holiday pinterest color', I asked for three different colors. Again, annoyed. I am happy to pay and tip for a service well done. I paid and tipped, because it was the holidays- not because it was a pleasant experience. It wasn't.

I would leave a zero star review if I could. My daughter went to get her nails done, and the nail…read moretech waited until she was halfway through the service to tell her she could not do the design she wanted because she didn't have an air brush. When my daughter asked if they could do a different color then (because she didn't want just neon pink nails) the technician grabbed some white polish and started painting hearts on her nails. My daughter said she didn't want hearts, and if she couldn't do the design that she had wanted, she would rather just do a different solid color. The technician insisted that *she* liked the color and refused to change it. When they were finished, not only were they nothing like what she had asked for, but the nails were uneven and very poorly done. In some parts the gel polish was super thick, and in other parts it was so thin that it was transparent. Also, this woman has absolutely butchered my daughters cuticles. My daughter expressed that she was unhappy with the nails and the technician didn't care, they just made her pay and leave unhappy. After this, my daughter called me and I went back in with her requesting a refund, even suggesting they remove the nails, and was told multiple times that they don't do refunds. Eventually I was able to speak with a manager and he said that they could remove the nails and give us a refund. This was fine, as that is what I had suggested in the first place. The woman who did my daughter's nails was then extremely aggressive cutting them down, and then just left her soaking in a bowl of acetone for 20 minutes which did nearly nothing. I asked the manager if they could properly remove the nails, and was told that the only way to get them off was to soak them, which was obviously not true. We ended up just taking our refund and leaving, as at that point I honestly did not trust them to properly remove the nails. My daughter left with her nails and cuticles looking absolutely awful, and had to pay to have them properly removed at a different nail salon. It is worth mentioning that my daughter's friend went with her and also got her nails done, just a fill and design, and hers were also awful. She also requested a refund, and the technician clipped off her tips (that they didn't even put on) along with her natural nail underneath, and left her sitting in a bowl of acetone as well. Both girls left with their nails in horrible condition. The staff very obviously only care about moving as quickly as possible, and couldn't care less about the quality of their work. I would avoid this place at all cost!

Toenails not well trimmed, and polish stayed on the two big toes and peeled off the other eight toes in one sheet. I went back in the other day and complained and showed them my toes, and was advised they only guarantee the work for THREE days. She then asked if I wanted a pedicure and I said not if I have to pay for it and she said yes. I told her they had seen the last of me and I would never go back. What a rip off.

The Spa at Traditions - Ladies locker room

This is the place if you are looking for a little relaxation away from home. I booked the…read moresalt/sauna/steam package for myself and made my first visit the The Spa on a Saturday morning. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming. She gave me a key and showed me to the ladies locker room. The locker room is small. Also, the lockers are right in front of the entrance, so it's not ideal if you're shy. People will come and go as you are getting undressed. They were also assigning the lockers in exact numerical order, so while you are trying to get undressed, there will be another patron just standing there waiting to be able to enter their locker which is right next to yours. It would be helpful if they would at least assign them more broadly, so the other patron might be at the opposite end of the row lockers. I will say though, the locker room was pretty clean. There were hot tea and cereal bars available as well as a selection of various toiletries. It would have been nice to have spa water available in there though. After spending time in the sauna and steam shower, something cold to drink would have been great. I returned to the front desk as instructed. I was given the option of which service I wanted to do first. I opted to start in the salt room, followed by sauna, and end with steam shower. The salt room was very relaxing. It's dimly lit and warm. There is soothing music playing. It was a nice way to start the day. The infrared sauna was also very nice. The sauna is located in a private room so when you book it you have it all to yourself. I didn't know there was a color therapy option on it though until the very end of the session but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. A pitcher of spa water was provided so I could hydrate during that part of the session. My one bit of constructive criticism, the floor of the sauna needs to be cleaned. It was very dusty and hairy. Next it was time for the steam shower. The front desk associate who I had been working with told me "All three knobs have to be on for it to work." Simple enough, or so I thought. I enter the steam shower, expecting just steam. There is a digital on/off switch which I hit. I see three knobs. There is no indicator of which is on or off though. So I turn them all and proceed to be blasted with cold water from every angle. I nearly hit the ceiling! I turned the knobs off as quickly as possible. The chamber began to fill with steam. Once that was figured out, it turned out to be a great experience. For $60, this was a great way to spend 3 hours. I left feeling invigorated. I am sure to return to The Spa at Traditions.
