I walked into this nail salon with hope in my heart, acrylics off my fingers, and a simple dream: remove the old nails, get a nice manicure, leave with my natural nails looking like they hadn't survived a tornado. Sadly... the tornado won. The acrylic removal began normally enough, until the technician started drilling my pinky nail with the enthusiasm of someone trying to dig for buried treasure. The drill got so hot I'm pretty sure I saw my ancestors. I very politely said, "Ow, that hurt." She very politely said, "I'll be gentler." And then she proceeded to drill like she was trying to start a campfire. Next came the shaping. I showed her a picture of what I wanted--simple, (trust see pics) cute, achievable. Twice she filed my nails, twice she asked, "Is this it?" and twice the answer was a solid, heartfelt, absolutely not. I explained it. I even used hand gestures. She looked at me with the calm serenity of someone who had chosen violence and ignoring instructions. But nothing prepared me for the manicure. Or should I say... "manicure." There was no warm bowl of sudsy water. No gentle soak. No heavenly lotion. No cuticle oil. Not even the traditional "let me pretend to massage your hands for five seconds." Instead, she did a quick file, a quick snip, and then asked--completely sincerely-- "Do you want a neck massage?" A neck massage. During a manicure. Ma'am, my hands were going through a crisis. The entire experience cost me $35, which feels appropriate only if the service included a surprise psychological plot twist--and in that case, wow, they delivered. In conclusion, the staff was friendly, but the service was like a comedy sketch no one warned me about. I left with confused nails, confused feelings, and a confused neck that did not, in fact, get a massage. I hope this review helps someone. And I hope someday my pinky nail forgives me. read more

I have been coming here for a year and have always paid the same price and receive the same service. Today I was charged an extra $5 for having coffin shape which I have had for the last year. She had to do NO extra work as it's the shape I had already had, but I got charged $5 because it wasn't square? I then got french, which is always an extra $10, but instead of white today I decided on a different color and was charged and extra $10 for it not being white. None of this was told to me prior to the service and being I've been a client for a year I anticipated my total to be the same as it always was, but when my normally $55 service became $70 and the owner argued with me as if I haven't been a loyal client, that was really it for. She tried blaming me for not asking and insisted I was lying about only paying $55 for all my previous fills with gel. read more

I tried out Panda because I wanted a place that takes appointments and was a bit closer to where I live. The place I usually go to does a great job but it's always a long wait. I wanted dip, not too thick and a light pink color. They are VERY thick and you can still see flecks of the red I had on before around the edges. Also it feels like my nails are stuck to my skin on the sides and underneath. I have my nails done every 2 weeks so I know exactly what I want and I was very clear. It was a sloppy job and I'll never go back. I was excited about trying Panda but it was a complete waste of $60. One star is being too generous but it's the lowest rating available. Also worth noting, not very clean and the gospel music is not everyone's cup of tea. read more

I came in with my daughter and a friend for a pedicure. I was very disappointed because they were very rude and aggressive towards us. The vibe was rushed and they didn't have more than one other person there. Two out of the three people that took care of us acted like we're bothering them, did the job very rushed. The salon is organized, and the employees that did my nails were pretty detailed for my uv gel fill. However, I was told they didn't have time to do my nails even though I had made an appointment. I appreciate that they still managed to squeeze me in, but my nail tech made the experience very disappointing. I asked for french tip and one of the only times I asked her to fix something, she rolled her eyes at me and got visibly annoyed--I had asked her if she could fill in an area with more polish that was sparse. I could tell she was rushing towards the end to get the next clients in, and she ended up cutting my cuticle pretty bad and left top coat wet and smudged. The pricing here also confuses me--they charged me an additional $10 for my fill because some gel was thinner in areas. I had asked for a colored french tip instead of white and was also told that was an additional $20. I was really confused by that since switching from white to another color takes the same effort, and my friend who got colored french tip was not quoted this price. Everything was awesome! I came in from terrible nails and terrible service from nails r us. And my nail tech said her name was panda, she was incredible, kind, gentle, had great attention to detail. I got my acrylics off and she didn't use harsh chemicals and was so gentle and persistent. And I got a nice file and trim, hand oil, hot towel, and cuticle oil for $25 bucks and gave her a 20% tip. She was awesome and gave me advice for healthy nails. I will 1000% come back if I want color. And had Christian music in the background. Was quiet and pretty in there. Not super impressed with this place. I only came here because they're open very early(9am) and I had a lot of errands to run that day. So I wanted in and out quickly. I got a gel manicure (dip powder). It was like $36-ish dollars from what I remember. The dude legit took an hour and 45 minutes to do my nails. For some reason he put three coats of the powder on. I figured he would file them after. I didn't realize it when he was finished but now that I'm looking at my nails they're super thick and ghetto looking. They look awful. Also quick note. Not sure why the guy who was answering the phone & greeting people (owner??) was such a rude grump. He was super rude to one of the customers. She came in for a pedicure but her family member was running 5 min late and the guy gave her a hard time about it. Very nice, clean and sterile. Lady who did me took long time. She took polish off and redid so she must not have liked it at first. She did a good massage while doing pedicure. Felt bad though a lady had her 3 kids running around and at end they color all over couch so some distraction with several employees with this. It's nice and bright in here. They do charge 4 percent for credit cards. Usually at nail salons they let you just sit and dry. The lady did that and then came to spray a fast drying thing. When she lifted my toes to do this on my one foot (a few toes are curled on this foot) my polish came off right on the sandal. I have the same feet and this has never happened at another salon. THe manager came over and tried to clean my sandal and told me to get special sandals because my toes curled. Umm don't think so I will just go back to my other one. Also the next day my big toe is not smooth its all rough on it so in the end I had to lower this to a three star. read more

The nail tech rushed me as I chose my color then snatched the book away from me. I was in Binghamton for a dentist appointment and decided to look for somewhere to get my nails done. I chose Panda because who doesn't love Pandas? And the reviews were good. Well, they did not disappoint! I was a walk in and when I got there they were super busy so I went and got a bite to eat and came back and got right in. My nail tech was Joy and she did an amazing job, I began with the rose pedicure -which was $20 less than they charge at most places where I live. Joy did an awesome job, she paid close attention to detail, grooming each nail and made my feet feel soft and luxurious. The leg and foot massage that came with it was incredibly relaxing & between that & the wonderful massage chair I almost drifted off to sleep! Joy also used the hot stone which felt great. After I decided to get a manicure with my real nails. I hadn't done my cuticles in awhile and joy cleaned them up really well and gave me a nice shape! Then I had my eyebrows waxed by the lovely woman who owns the business. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. She really took her time and gave me a really nice shape! We talked, joked, and laughed the whole time. I really felt welcomed like I was a long time customer even though it was my first time. Everything is super clean and spotless including the bathroom, and the decor is relaxing and nice. The prices are great and everyone who works there is super friendly and sweet. I was given a cute little panda on a keychain as a gift as well as a mini nail kit. When my boyfriend came to pick me up they gave him a panda too! The reason for this review isn't just because they gave a great pedicure and made my feet feel so pampered - it's also because this place is spotless! The decor is adorable. The pedicure chairs offer an amazing massage. It is bright and airy and does not smell of heavy chemicals. They sterilize the metal tools and use disposable tools for scrubbing and exfoliating - tossing them all out after use. They use liners in the foot baths. No concerns about catching a foot fungus here!! That's more important to me than the artistic and perfect pedicure I received. I am a true pedicure convert and will return here often! read more

The man who did my pedicure (I didn't get his name, but I will next time) was so gentle and the shoulder massage he gave me was excellent! I was offered a drink and two small gifts: a panda keychain which I LOVE and a nail file kit. I've never been treated so nicely in a salon that didn't charge a ton of money.
