She was shocked and questioned the charge. He told her he heard from a relative of my mother's, she was going out to eat, etc. (untrue and not his business). She paid him $190 that day. She canceled her future appointments by calling to leave a message. He just called her furiously yelling at her about leaving his business. She's very upset and shaken. This guy is not a businessman and the reason I left him long ago. Beware of those who take advantage of the elderly. It speaks volumes! I plan to call the FTC and Office for the Aging.

My mom has issues with several colic's but Karry knows how to cut them perfectly so her hair looks so lovely when we are done. I have had Karry for years and she has colored my hair, done my eyebrows, straighten, curled everything and now we have decided to go gray. She is helping with toners and trims. She listens to what you want which is amazing! The studio is very clean, organized, and offers you coffee, snacks or water if you'd like. I highly recommend it and give Karry 10 stars!!! When I refused several times she made me stand on a chair in the center of the salon and trimmed my hair, constantly berating me for having such long hair and not donating it to cancer patients. I should have walked out then, but I didn't. Years later, when I couldn't see my regular stylist I went back because I'd heard many nice things and I hoped for a more positive experience. Instead I received a color and cut I did not ask for. Several times I said "This isn't what I wanted", but the owner/stylist didn't listen. One last time, after expressing my dissatisfaction with local friends about this salon, I was assured all would be fine. I walked out with the worst color and cut. Again I tried to tell the owner/stylist that she was not doing what I asked but she didn't listen. And I'm sorry I listened to my friends and went back there again. I'm glad other locals have had positive experiences at this salon, They are simply not for me. I gave them three tries over a five-year period and now I'm done. We had, at length, discussed what color to put on it and instead of the pretty, warm red, I got dark brown eggplant. I have had the red for years with various highlights in it and thought I was getting one color. Either communication broke down between us, which is unlikely the case, or she mixed the wrong dye and let it overprocess (very likely as I know how much time I usually spend processing). She refuses to refund my money, attempt to fix it, or have anyone else in the salon fix it. They tout themselves as the "color fixers," but clearly they are unwilling to clean up their own mess.

Jan is awesome, she cuts my hair exactly how I want it and always makes it look amazing. She also does highlights for me every time I go and they look amazing each time. I have also had her fix mistakes made by other hairdressers from time to time and she has done an excellent job each time. If I lived in town I would never go anywhere else! And they have great prices to top it off.

These girls in these salons…read morehave an onus to the public to provide decent hair cuts, dyes, highlights and anything else they are required BY LAW to do. If you aren't happy with your cut, style, color ask for your money back or tell them you aren't paying them. Take a picture of your hair BEFORE and after so if needed, you have the proof and evidence of a bad cut, style, color, etc. Not all these girls are nice in ANY of the cutting crew places, including Oneonta, Norwich, Sidney, and etc. I filed a complaint and DAWN from New Jersey threatened me and has now followed me to every Salon I have been to that is affiliated with the Cutting Crew. Dawn is in New Jersey. Beauticians are beauticians. They are not doctors, therapists, or anything else except a hairdresser. Not happy? Don't pay them. PERIOD. And this can be a lesson for Everyone. Do your jobs or you simply won't get paid. Customers. Be nice don't expect the world, but do expect a decent job which is what these girls are trained to do. As a result, they decided to not let her sign in and talked bad about her (AS A CUSTOMER, AND JUST AS A HUMAN BEING, WE DON'T NEED TO BE BAD MOUTHED). 2) THIS IS BLATANT FALSE ADVERTISING. They charge $13.95 & up. On the shampoo she asks "do you use conditioner?" so I say "yes". It turns out, it's a $2 charge because she put conditioner in my hair and didn't tell me it was extra. Apparently getting your hair clipped is another $1, a charge I was not informed about. ALL OTHER PLACES DO THIS FOR FREE OR WILL TELL YOU WHEN THERE IS A CHARGE. I was so upset, I didn't ask for a card and they were not remorseful for what they had done. I will go to the place across the way since they are fair and decent to their customers.
