My regular place was closed due to an emergency and I'm traveling out of town before they reopen. I'm always wary of places right by military installations because they aren't the greatest they just benefit from location. This is that. I walked in and was greeted minimally. My water was ran and I was seated quickly. I wanted a gel pedicure and basic manicure. I had gel on my toes. First red flag: she's trying to take my polish off with remover. Ma'am it's gel. We get through the pedicure ($55 for the #3 with gel) and I just want to finish and go. She did pull too hard on my hang nail but we made it. We get through the manicure and she's back at it with the cuticles. I realized earlier she didn't speak English so I shake my head to let her know to stop. It was uncomfortable. We finish. I pay and tip because I was provided service and leave. At no point and time was I spoken to again until I checked out. An hour later I look down and my cuticle is bleeding. I would have brought it up there but it wasn't bleeding in the shop. Don't do it. There's 4-5 other places on that street, a bunch on 29th and on Air Depot. Take your chances elsewhere. I will say the shop is clean and looks beautiful but the prices, customer service and nail service are terrible. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would... The time to sit down wasn't a problem they were pretty fast with that. The lady that did my nails shaved down all my previous acrylic to my bare nail, proceeded to put acrylic powder with no tip on my real nails, she broke my thumb nail with the nail drill and just dotted a piece of glue on it and put acrylic power over top, mind you I came in for a full set, I DID NOT GET MY FULL SET, she basically gave me a dip, I received no tips on my nails, plus when shaping the nails she was filing my skin instead of the nail, She noticed I started bleeding and kept using the same file even though it had my blood on it. I got a pedicure and waxed my eyebrows. The chair for the pedicure didn't work and when I mentioned it she said it did but when I showed that it didn't she "oh". Other than that the pedicure was "okay". When I went back to get my eyebrows waxed in the dirty room, I noticed the girl that just did my pedicure didn't wash her hands. I should have just left but I didn't. She made a comment about getting my lip done and I said no I'm fine and she said "it's too long". I was so embarrassed and angry. Okay. Let's put it this way. A bad nail appointment is like a bad relationship. At some point you have to realize the person isn't listening and doesn't intend to. They don't even want to understand. You have to cut your losses and walk away. You have to say "I learned something here today and I'll never go back there." Wouldn't fix the shape. Ripped and tore at my skin. I was recommended to this place by a client, it will be my final visit. First red flag it took her the tech 1 minute to clean the pedicure chair & foot bowl, my feet didn't soak before we started cutting my cuticle. While only on the first toe of cuticle cutting I notice the tech was not actually cutting anything off so I asked for another tech. I then had to wait another 10 minutes while the owner & tech went back forth and he just walked around doing absolutely nothing. With an attitude he aggressively cut my cuticles so I tried explaining I didn't mean to offend anyone and proceed to tell my concern. He brushed me off and kept cutting only the top part of my cuticles and never went on the sides or scrapped/ cleaned underneath my toenail. When massaging my legs the tech was so worried about the phone call in his ear that it felt as if he was probably touching my leg. I didn't get a scrub or lotion massage. I originally went for the Rome pedicure for $65 but decided I didn't want polish after the tech explained he couldn't cut or file my nails down until he polished them. When at the register I was rang a total of $50 which I feel was not worth it and I expressed why. Guys I still have dead skin and cuticles on my toes, they didn't care. My mom brought my son and I here. Shes usually pretty big on having the best places for nails and feet. So big that she gets both done at different places. The name of this place is pretty awesome. Makes you feel like you're going to have the experience of your life. Nope! We went in got two deluxe peis and and a basic for my son. All 3 of our buckets were full of cold water. They were upset they we weren't happy with that because they had to boil water and add to our bowls. Still not satisfying with more cold water but hey. The paint chipped as soon as I left, and it was chalky like white out. Sigh... I hate to have to tell people OPI works wonders, but I thought they knew as well. I had a great time with both of my visits at Luxe, my nails were done perfectly, and with extreme attention to detail. I truly enjoyed my manicures. Pedicures were a bit iffy because I didn't get the treatment that's described but they did a really good job either way. My cousin suggested this place so I've tagged along with her a few times now and I'm extremely happy every time I walk out the door. Pricing is average, quality is AMAZING, atmosphere is clean and professional, staff is super friendly. I get the dip (no tip for me because I prefer sport-length) and a pedicure, and both are top-notch. Both Tracy & Chris are very good! I've done walk-ins every time and even when all the chairs are full, the wait isn't too bad. I do suggest making an appointment if you know you'll need to get in and out quickly though. We were here for over 2.5 hours for something that should have taken 1 hour and 15 minutes. The delay was caused by them taking people ahead of us. Went to get my nails and toes painted. first of all I waited what felt like forever. Paid 90$+ just for the matte and some color to come off some of my toes the same day due to the color not being cured completely and on top of that it wasn't cured on my nails either! A co-worker turned me on to Luxe in MWC since that's where we work. It's easy enough to get there and I can go during lunch hours or after work. So far, it's been top notch. My go-to is now Michelle. She's so nice and creative. She did a great job on my St. Patrick's day nails, adding a clover to each ring finger with a little gem in the middle. She has also done my waxing (eyebrows, lip, chin) and it's not bad at all. Great facility and nail techs. Definitely my surprising go-to nail salon. read more

Literally the WORST nail salon ever!!! Went here to try and get a basic set of nails, ended the night with HAIRS in my nails. Went back and tried to get them redone, they told me it was not there fault that there a hairs because the hairs just fall into the acrylic powder sometimes. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Usually when a business messes up you would think they would fix it. But I left yet again with more hair in my nails after they redid them. My boyfriends Lao had a pedicure, and they rubbed DAWN DISH SOAP on his feet. This place is so trashy and I would never recommend it to anyone ever. read more

I am usually not one to complain, but I am still suffering from the pedicure I received last Friday from this salon. I wasn't sure how bad it was until I got home and really looked at the heels of my feet. The older gentleman that did my feet was awful. I have never had such a bad pedicure in all my life. He did nothing correct and left me with raw heels. I have bad heels, but not so bad that they need to be graded to the point of bleeding. I have never felt so much pain in my life. I could hardly walk the next day. I am reporting them to the board of cosmetology because of how bad my feet are. I will never go back and I hope the older gentleman stops doing anything to anyone cause he is awful. I was very excited to try this place after seeing all the reviews, but after having visited it I'm not very pleased with it. The nail job was kind of sloppy and had inconsistencies. I'm not sure if it's going to last 2 weeks since some of it is on my nail bed. The people were VERY sweet and the lady who did my nails was very nice but that isn't going to make my nail polish last 2 weeks. a friend of mine had been going here for years, recently had a stroke was in hospital for 15+ days. tried calling to get appointment finally got a text went in at time text said and before she could even get completely through the door was told that she didn't have appt for her and that she had been trying to get ahold of client and because she couldn't get ahold of her she would no longer do her nails. had faithfully had this woman do her nails for 10+ years and because she had a stroke and didn't inform her she would no longer do her nails! are you serious? first off to be rude to a client, 2nd 10+years, 3 who the hell do you think you are to think that during a stroke you should be the top of the list? her health is number 1 not you! and you over charge for your services! seriously $60 for solar every 2 weeks is out of line!! but to treat her like having a stroke was a planned event that she wanted to go on. compassion is what you need to learn and try being a human being! she came home crying because she didnt understand what she had done wrong! which was nothing! youre a real piece of work! dont ever have a stroke yourself! because you wouldnt understand. shell be getting her nails done somewhere else bu someone alot better and will do them alot better and cheaper. no bumps or pits and wont come off 2 days later. read more

Will never be going back to this Nail Place!!! My pedicure was very poor, the lady acted like she had a issue the whole time after I asked is she scrubbing my feet with hand lotion. She had a pump of hand lotion applying it to a sponge, then scrubbing my feet. I dnt even know what sponge she used bc it didn't get any dead skin off the heel of my feet. Why I just didn't leave after that horrible pedi only Lord knows. I let a lady named Tuyen give me a full set and she caught a really bad attitude after I didn't understand what she said the first 2 times. Then She kept offering for me to leave and go get more money so I can get the dip nails after I said repeatedly I DID NOT WANT THEM! lastly towards the end I asked for a glitter polish bc I knew that would be super hard to mess up Ms. Tuyen got up and brought me back 2 glitter options I stated I think ima go with the left one you think that'll look okay on clear nails. Tuyen then stated "I dnt know, u asked for glitter and I brought you 2 different ones. I'm not going to pick one out for you to. That's on you." I politically said I will never be returning please paint my nails so I can pay you and go. Tuyen has the worst customer service including the lady that did my pedi she did not once make sure I was comfy. The ppl acted very suspect like they were hiding something. I have only been in this place a few times. The first time was great. The tech was very nice and took her time doing my nails. The second time I went in for a fill was not so good. It started off ok but as soon as one of the techs regular customers came in, she started getting in a hurry. It seemed like she just wanted to hurry up on my nails so she could get to her regular customer. My polish was horribly done. A few days later, one of the nails came unglued and fell off. Ok.. I've hunted, read all the reviews on this place, and was so excited to find a place to get my nails done.. but it just didn't happen for me. The staff was very nice and I didn't wait long. I've worn artificial nails for over 20 years and usually do them myself, but haven't had time. I went in for a dip set, Luxe is on the higher end of $55 + one color. First of all, no primer was put on my nails before adding a tip, and the tips were way too small for my nails. Secondly the tech put 5 of them on crooked, REAL crooked. They were at a 45 degree in the opposite direction. He fixed one of them, but I had to file to fix them later which took off the length. Thirdly, no bridge was built up on my nails which made them look like flat sticks coming out if my cuticle! No curvature at all. Fourth, no gel polish. Just a clear top coat. Really expected more for this price. I litterally had to redo this set when I got home. The person was not new but seemed distracted or hurried. I can be picky about my nails, but this is extreme. read more
