I am hesitant on returning however because the place felt very dirty. My appointment was at 9, there was hair on the floor at just about every station. I asked what time they start cutting hair thinking maybe they were busy that morning. They start at 9, so the hair is from previous day(s) which is gross... I ask where I can put my sweater and she says the chair at the station next to us. I have to drape it just right because there are big clumps of hair in the chair.... The cables/wiring hanging front the ceiling were COVERED in dust as was the decor sitting out. I think Kelsey does an amazing hair cut but I'm not sure I like going to such a dirty salon.

I booked a same day haircut appointment online and arrived at the salon around 2:15. The salon is located to the left of Charleston's on Broadway. The entry doors open to a small foyer with two chairs and hand sanitizer. The salon entry is to the left. Once inside, there was ample space for movement with an open concept. I was greeted when I approached the counter and checked in. The lady with the pink hair and big smile let Alex know we had arrived and I was updated that Alex was a little behind. Our appointment started about fifteen minutes late but we were in no hurry. You can't rush perfection and it's three days before Christmas with a same day appointment! My daughter was seated in the chair and we chose a women's cut. I wanted her to feel the difference in a kids cut from Super Cuts and what Mom usually gets at a salon. This included wash, cut, dry, and style. I also let her get her eyebrows waxed. Her total hair loss was about 24" of hair. When everything was said and done my daughter hated it. It wasn't the right "shape". Alex was able to explain things like texture, hair types, and what she can do to get it closer to her photo. She was still unhappy but the feedback was well received by Alex. Remember, our appointment was running behind. With grace and a smile Alex was more than happy to fix it and go even shorter. She gave my daughter the Justin Bieber type cut she was looking for, something totally opposite of the first cut Alex had just completed based off a photo my daughter found online. That folks, is how you get repeat customers and five star reviews. Stressed, pressed for time, and still sweet as can be. Never once did she make us feel any type of way and I appreciate that.

In addition to easy parking, the salon feels open, yet relaxing. Even when it's busy, there's enough space between the stylists that it doesn't get noisy. The salon has a relaxed, but tasteful vibe. Katina has been my stylist for several years and she is FANTASTIC! I consistently receive compliments on my hair and I recommend her without hesitation; I like to change my hairstyle rather frequently, and even with my cantankerous locks, Kat keeps me look great whether they're super-short or growing out. She takes her time to listen to what I want, explains when something may not work for me, and offers up suggestions. She really listens and asks questions to clarify what I'm asking for. I REALLY appreciate that since it can be hard to explain exactly what is in your mind's eye... No matter what the final product, she makes me look great! He left upset at an uneven job from a girl who barely seemed to know what she was doing. All I wanted was to get my boyfriend a trim that he was happy with and they didn't even have time to fix it as the next appointment came in 30 minutes after we showed up. He just wanted an even short cut and she left it too long with no time to fix it. Don't go here for men's haircuts. It seems to be geared towards women's dye jobs.
