If you want layers, DO NOT USE EGOR. I was recommended by a scheduler to use Egor for long layers, and ended up with bangs I did not ask for. I had long hair past my behind and wanted some layers that start at my chin and about 7 inches off. I have two layers, a chunk of bangs and the end of my hair. he over styled it so I couldn't see the choppy cut until I got home and washed it. Every time I look in the mirror, it just angers me! He had a beautiful canvas to work with, not sure how you mess that up. My appointment was at 6 pm, they close at 8 pm and he had another appointment scheduled at 7:00 pm. He was in a hurry to get me done and out. Not sure if he was having a bad day but layers is not his specialty! Whoever recommended him, needs to be fired! If I could leave zero stars, I would. This salon should absolutely not be cutting men's hair. What happened to my husband wasn't just a bad haircut it was targeted, unprofessional, and emotionally devastating. He walked in with a great attitude, proud of landing a new job paying $60,000 a month to be clear $720,000 per year, and was being kind and conversational. As soon as he stated he was from out of state everything changed in her attitude. The stylist, Brandi, seemed irritated from the start of the haircut and even shared how unhappy she was in her own marriage. My husband asked specifically to leave the back of his hair alone it was long and curly and was to only clean up the sides and front. Instead, she cut the back without permission, destroying his beautiful long curls. He froze in the chair, paid, and left immediately only to cry on the way home and all night. He has cried for days because of this horrible haircut. What she did wasn't just careless it felt intentional. There's no way to fix the damage. He has to wait months for it to grow back. Yes, we were refunded by the manager, but the pain caused by this salon goes far deeper than the hair itself. Afterward, we called the salon together, calmly at first. I made it clear I just wanted to have a respectful conversation. But what followed was worse than we imagined: the person called me a curse word, and then laughed at us, mocked us, and shifted their story about who was in charge. One second the person said she wasn't the manager then suddenly she was a manager. When we asked to speak to the owner, we were told she was "out of town with her kids on vacation" and unavailable. We were trying to talk calmly and explain that my husband is seriously affected by what happened he's emotionally distraught, embarrassed, and now even more hurt after hearing staff laugh at him and his wife on the phone. When I tried to explain that he was going through a hard time because of what this haircut did to him, one of the women dismissively said, "Well that sucks he's going through some stuff." They completely missed the point: he's only going through this emotional pain because of what Brandi did and now how the people treated us afterward from the salon. This stylist should be formally reprimanded and her manager at minimum. Hair professionals have a legal and ethical duty of care. We are pursuing this legally with our attorney as of today. This review is not a threat it's a public record of what happened, and the legal process will speak for us. To anyone considering this salon: do not bring your husband, boyfriend, or son here. This isn't just a poorly run business it's an emotionally unsafe place, and the people here are unkind and unfit to work with the public. If you're a woman and willing to take the risk, that's your decision. But if you value professionalism, compassion, or basic decency, this is not the place! To the salon: This isn't about revenge. I went here for a while and preparation for my wedding. New to town and didn't know where to go. After trying on wedding dresses, I had a change of mind on the direction I wanted my hair to go (well within a year of the wedding) but unfortunately, any changes of opinions there is not welcome. If I could put zero stars, I would. I came in today, and I requested a trim and to continue with the layers I already have. I was directed to Ana. I don't know how but she completely botched it. My hair was down to past my butt, and she cut off a lot more than I requested. on top of it my hair is all jagged across, she didn't even comb my hair up to cut it. She simply went across my whole head and literally cut it while it was down, no comb. I've been growing out my hair for about five years now, so to have this done to me was devastating. She finished cutting my hair, and asked me if I wanted to shampoo it. AFTER SHE CUT IT. I've literally never had an experience like this, and expected a lot better because of how the salon was rated, and the reviews that were posted. My 17 yr old had an appointment to go in to get her hair done for prom. The stylist did a horrible job and charged her $70. Who rips off a seventeen year old? Well someone did at this salon. I called and complained that same day and no call back so here I am writing this review. Oh I have pictures for proof. First picture is what she wanted and the second is what she got. I have been coming here for many, many months after leaving a different salon and have brought my daughter here as well. This place is horrible! I was charged $68.00 for my daughter getting two French braids in her hair. I wasn't expecting to spend no more $40 at the max. We didn't leave the stylist a tip because my daughters hair looked lousy. I even told the stylist to put curls in my daughters hair, and the stylist told me, "this is the style" followed with a dirty look. Spend your money somewhere else. The salon left a response below and the response is ridiculous! Two small French braids and shitty lose curls shouldn't be $68.00. Trichology is a much better salon. I would have gone back to a place that actually does good work but they didn't have any available appointments. If salon W cared about losing a custom they would have picked up the phone and called me to make things right. However, that wasn't the case and neither was it in other reviews. read more

I went in and asked for this photo, strawberry blonde, but did not want the roots as dark. My stylist brought me over brown samples. I even said "those are brown" and she told me that she wouldn't be putting those on my head. So I just figured maybe inspiration with toner?? I've never done strawberry blonde so I didn't know the process but trusted my stylist. She's even done it before so another reason I trusted her. When she dried me, I was blonde and brown. I asked if that's what she did and she said yeah. I said uhm, that's not what I wanted. I wanted what I showed you, strawberry blonde. She said "oh." She asked me what I wanted to do and I was already there for 3.5 hours so I was done. She said she had another appointment so I had to make up my mind now. I said I don't care and she told me to go to the bowl. She just threw more brown in on my roots. She got an assistant to dry me and once she was done and asked me what I thought, I started bawling my eyes out. I told her this isn't what I wanted, I already told her, her way of fixing it made it way worse. The desk people still charged me $148 and I was bawling while paying. I will not be back and I have to go spend more money to get it fixed. read more

Not the place to go for a modern perm. I hate to write this because 1) I really had my hopes up about this place, and 2) the lady that did my hair was so stinking sweet. She was really a great gal and I mean no harm when I say the things I'm going to say. Please forgive me, it's not personal, but I regret this visit badly. The photo attached shows the reference pic on the left and my results on the right. I asked for a very loose, voluminous, modern body wave perm. I specified more than once that I like my hair low maintenance; I take great care of it so that I can just wash and air dry. My hair was incredibly healthy before this visit, which the stylist remarked upon multiple times. It had been balayaged once and had no split ends, was alive, sleek, moisturized. The stylist at Salon W did not know what balayage is and could not advise me as far as color touch up or gloss at all. She seemed eager to just start the perm. There was no consultation apart from me describing my hair. I asked her to cut some layers into the blunt cut that I had, which she did as an afterthought at the end of the appointment. I now have awful jagged "layers", which I am getting fixed by another stylist at another salon tomorrow morning. I will then have to wait six weeks to have the new stylist re-perm my hair with much larger rods to achieve the effect I originally wanted. I ran to another place in tears after receiving this ramen noodle nonsense, which I was told "would fall". When I asked why my hair doesn't look like the photo I showed, she said it's because the girl in the photo has less hair than me?? She let me leave the salon with a half-wet head when I asked her multiple times to use a diffuser, which she did not do. I bought 2 products that I had to suggest to see, because all she used was a gel that she did not even show me at the product counter. She told me "less is best" as well as, "just keep scrunching it and it'll settle," which is completely contradictory. Last but not least, she had a girl helping her to do my hair that came up and asked, "what's a flexi rod?" The stylist then proceeded to have the girl do some of my hair, even though she had never done a perm before at all. I was extremely uncomfortable by this, because the side the other girl did kept falling out throughout the appointment. I am so incredibly upset. I don't even want my money back; keep the $200+ that I paid for this. I want my pretty hair back... I am horrified. She kept telling me repeatedly that the reason I didn't like it is because I had never had a perm before. Tell me, do those photos look the same to you? Does it matter that I've never had a perm before, if the results look the way that they look? I am mortified and pray that I'm able to fix this somewhere else. I have no idea how. Again, it's not personal, it's not you. But please, when someone says that they want a low-maintenance body wave, don't touch their hair unless you know what a body wave is. This is not a body wave. My hair is fried to bits and it's not even worth it. I'm heartbroken and filled with regret. I can't believe this is what my hair looks like now. ***EDIT***: It's been three days and I have yet to hear from the salon. And please don't try to say I missed your call; you made me fill out that little paper with my number, email, and home address. I think if you REALLY wanted to make it right, you would've. You can go ahead and refund the card you have on file. I'll be using that money on the keratin treatments to fix this trainwreck. By the way, if the reference photo really wasn't a perm as you say (although I know that it is), that should've been the first thing I heard in my appointment. Your salon doesn't need the money that badly. Tell clients no rather than wreck their entire head of hair for no good reason at all. Shame on you. read more

I brought my daughter here for her first haircut since February. I called and they were able to book us same day for the time that worked well for us. They normally only allow the client in, to reduce the number of people in during appointments (a smart and responsible COVID rule, just a little hard to make work with a five year old child), so they were able to make a special accomodation for us. A private room was available at no extra charge! Our stylist did a wonderful job, and was kind to point out that what I asked for didn't necessarily lend itself to going a long time in between appointments, should we need to go for a while again this fall and winter. I appreciated that so much. The private room is awesome. I did ask, and they told me you can request it if you're older or immunocompromised. If you need your hair washed (or color rinsed), you'll need to go the shampoo bar, which is out in the general population, but other than that, I do think the private room may be of some benefit to those who need it. I'm thinking of asking my mom to do it next time she needs a cut and a color. read more

Only surprise for me was an $8 hair mask -- stylist said they were going to do it as my hair appeared dry, but I didn't know it would make my cut price go up by 15%. I was surprised when I went to pay, and would have rejected it had I known about the extra cost. That being said--maybe just a surprise to me as I don't go to salons frequently, and not a big deal. Be sure to ask for a price before they cut your hair. On the website prices start at $43 for a women's haircut. I have thick hair so I expected it to be around $65 (what I'm used to paying). It ended up costing $80 for a women's cut which is almost double the starting price. I would not have cared as much if it looked amazing but it didn't. She didn't even show me the back of my hair when she was done which I thought was odd. I looked when I got home and the back doesn't lay right. She said she would texturize it to make it look like long layers and smooth it out. Instead it looks like a bad, blunt chop (think Dora the Explorer). I chose this salon because of all the great reviews and I'm newish to OKC. This salon is not worth the hype and I will be going elsewhere. read more

This place is traumatizing!!! I made an appointment to have my hair dyed and a trim. Sounds easy enough, right? Not here. This place is a nightmare! It's trendy and all that - but no soul. At the very end of 2020, I tangled with pulmonary embolisms. My oxygen deprived body caused most of my hair to fall out. I had it cut so it would grow in evenly. My sister and I were making a grand adventure - a 10 day cruise of the British Isles. Vacation pictures are forever, and I wanted to look nice. I booked an appointment. I have just moved to this area in August, so I used Yelp reviews to choose a place to go. When I got there, I was eventually taken to a chair by a scantily clad girl. I told her I wanted my hair to be blonde, and shaped up in the back. She started telling me how bad my hair was and it wouldn't look like an "intentional haircut". I explained about the hair loss and that I was growing it back. I showed her a picture of how I like my hair, so she would understand my goal. She told me she understood. Then she said that my hair couldn't be all blonde. I insisted that I did. She got frustrated and said it "wouldn't reflect light". I said I didn't care. I wanted blonde. She used her own hair to explain why all blonde was wrong, and she was right. In confusion, I said, "But your hair isn't blonde. It's brown." She laughed out loud. "You don't think my hair is blonde???" she belted. I shook my head. "Exactly what do you think 'blonde' is?" I indicated another stylist. She laughed at her coworker. She told me I would not be getting what I asked for because there wasn't time. I told her that there should be plenty because I had said I wanted all over blonde when I made the appointment. Obviously irritated, she stormed off and returned with a paper with a description of what her plans were and made me sign it. She got started foiling. She was mean! She made some comments about how she would end up divorced some day. It was a lot. I was put under a dryer (she didn't allow me their fancy self oscillating one) and waited. She washed out the solution, and started on the cut. It looked like she was taking off quite a lot - and I didn't have much to lose. I leaned forward and reminded her that I was trying to grow it out. That I was recovering. That it makes me sad when I see it because all I see is sickness. She waved a hand, and gave me the "intentional haircut" speech again. I should have left. She kept cutting. She styled it. It was far shorter than I wanted. What was done was done. Here's the shocking part: then she kept cutting. I spoke up again about growing it out. She cut huge jags into the hair. It lost all ability to lay flat! It looked hideous!!! Then, she busted out a razor and started shaving at the back of my neck. I couldn't stop the tears. My husband had gotten a massage there, and was sitting beside me, looking horrified. When she was finished, she took me to a facial room to cold wax my eyebrows. She sent me to the register and walked off - leaving the woman there to tell me that I owed them just under $300!!! $300?!? To cut the least amount of hair I have ever had AND not color it how I asked AND to be almost back to where I started as far as baldness. I would post a picture, but I can't. If life allowed, I would lock myself up for two months while it grew out. Save your money - and your self esteem and run!!! read more

Don't trust them with curls. I came in to cut off damaged ends. My hair is extremely curly and I explained to the stylist that I wanted to keep as much length as possible. I also mentioned my curls would get tighter and shorter once cut- a little went a long way. She assessed the damage and told me she could cut off three inches. Considering my hair used to go down to my waist I knew that loss wouldn't be too dramatic, even if my curls tightened up. The initial chop was made with me standing up (due to the length of my wet hair) and I couldn't see how much she took until she was done. It was a bit more than three inches, but not criminally. Then she kept cutting and trimming. With my hair wet and curls loose and behind my back where I couldn't see, it didn't look too bad. But once she finished adding a few long layers per my request I realized the truth. Rather than three inches she'd taken *at least* six. My hair had gone from waist length when dry to barely past my shoulders when wet! I was shocked but in denial. She offered to blow dry and I requested she used a defuser for the curls. Once she started, it seemed as if she didn't know how to use one on curls, mostly using it like a normal blow dryer. Once my hair dried I couldn't deny anymore how much she'd cut, when the curls tighten I could feel the ends on my neck! Later I realized the layers had left my hair extremely uneven from front to back. I was devastated as I'd been growing my hair for a decade. But what could I do? I had put my trust in this stylist on recommendation from a good friend, but my trust I thoroughly broken. I haven't worn my hair down since. read more
