Was my first appointment with this establishment. Have been a very loyal customer at another place for years but they are no longer waxing so I decided to try The Waxx Room. I live close to downtown Oklahoma City so driving north of 33rd in Edmond to get my wax is a bit "out of the way" but saw the reviews and decided to try. Had a 4.15p appointment booked (over a week in advanced) with Andrea. Received the automated text reminders up until the day of my appointment reminding me of said appointment. Unfortunately upon my arrival (at 4.10p) the door was locked and lights were off. Decided to wait a bit to see if anyone might show up. So so soooo disappointed in the service my daughter received this week. She had a brow, chin and neck wax... and is now suffering second - third degree burns all over her face as a result. She emailed the company with respect ... to let them know her experience... and no reply. So please, beware! Im giving this place two stars because I thought the layout and cleanliness were great, exactly as a waxing salon should be. However my experience there won't have me recommending this pace to others or returning again myself. I usually read the yelp reviews before visiting anywhere but this place came on recommendation of a good friend so I took her word for it. When I arrived the staff weren't exactly friendly or professional. I think I got a very unenthusiastic 'hey'. I was ushered into a room (nice room) and asked to undress below the waist. While I was waiting for the girl to return I heard her out front complaining about her boss. She returned and began the wax. I have NEVER been waxed by someone so obviously uninterested in her job or customer. In the end I paid $70 for an incomplete wax. I could have done a better job at home. My skin was ultra irritated and it surprises me they don't use an after wax skin care product for their clients before they shuffle them out the door. I will be returning to my regular waxer immediately. At least there I walked away with exactly what I was paying for. A WAX! read more

I've had an appointment scheduled for over a month, and they text me an hour and a half before my first appointment to tell me that Holly has to cancel because of a sick kid and want to know if I can reschedule for Monday. I understand that stuff happens, but there are five Estheticians that work at this establishment. I'm sure between the four remaining estheticians, they could have worked in my 4 waxes that takes about an hour to complete. They'll reply to this one star with something about being able to reschedule me for tomorrow or next week. If I needed the services done tomorrow or next week, I would have scheduled them for those days. I've never been to this establishment, nor will I ever now. I love this place. It's a little whole in the wall that's worth the discovery! So good I almost don't want to share and just keep it to myself! I do not like pain, my first wax was preformed at another place before my wedding, it scared me for life! Now, as I am about to deliver my first born, and can no longer reach my nethers effectively, I had to find some other alternative. I looked online and found this place, expecting to just deal with the pain. Legs spread, belly big, Amber came in to preform my "deed." One wax, two wax, three wax, four wax, it barely hurt. I could talk through the whole thing! Waxing is a breeze!! This place uses professional waxes for different types of skin, so that pain and skin damage do not occur.
