Had a wonderful experience here! Was a walk in for a Wednesday, and wanted an ashy blonde balayage, and the receptionist/counter lady got me scheduled then and there for two hours later. A cut and color balayage immediately booked for that day is usually once in a blue moon kinda deal, but they worked me in. I was greeted by Jade(sweetest woman you'll meet) and she did a beautiful job on my locks. She didn't burn the ends out like most salons do(but I must admit I was a darker blonde to begin with so it was only a few shades she had to lighten) regardless, the outcome was perfect and I'm beyond pleased with the final results. I recommend jade! She's been in the hair business for several years and is very educated in her work. Will be going back for touch ups when needed! read more

I recommend skipping this salon if you're looking for a safe place to do your hair. I would skip this salon if you don't want to hear hateful comments. I would skip this salon period. Please go to any other salon. There is no reason politics should be discussed loudly in any public space. Especially if it is hateful, and they are. I have heard slurs, and very very racist comments said very loudly in the salon by the people who work there. Things that should never even be said. The owner only makes excuses for this behavior. Do not go to this salon. They also double dip in the wax pot. read more

I Just moved to Edmond, live just down the street from the salon. Saw that they take walk-ins, was greeted warmly by the receptionist and got an appointment with Ronnie. She was so sweet and did a great job on my haircut. Shop has a lot of cute clothing and gift items. Left happy with my hair and a couple of cute sweaters! Will be back. read more

I'm so sad to leave one star; however, I was so disappointed from my hair color and cut from my appointment last week. I even had a photo of what I wanted and was told "sure thing". I have short hair anyway but wanted a more structured look. After spending $305 I left so disappointed. Color was very "blah" the highlights were not defined; it was my second visit (first appt went good) and will be my last. hope you have a better outcome read more

I recently brought two teens in for haircuts. They each had different stylists and both of them were very happy with the end results. The atmosphere is very comfortable and everyone there was friendly, chatted with the girls, complimented them, and made us feel very welcome. Both were asked what they wanted to be done, and after showing pictures of the styles they selected they were asked what was about those styles that they liked. I was impressed. I could see they wanted to make sure they understood exactly what they wanted and why. We have already made follow up maintenance appointments. read more

I am soo happy with my services at Tangles Salon in Edmond. My cut is just what I needed. Its long enough and short enough for you never have to worry about bringing her in so if you ever forget, I feel really bad that you were worried about to The conditioning treatment made my hair feel like silk. now even when I don't wash it every day it still feels soft and fresh. read more

Debbie did an amazing job on my hair! She's been cutting hair for 37 years & her expertise shines! I've lived in Edmond for 4 years & this is hands down THE best haircut that I got! Debbie is the best! read more

I have been getting my hair cut and colored by Melony at tangles since she started there. I have to say, she is a excellent colorist. I am so happy she is now at Tangles. It's perfect salon for all ages and everyone is so nice. Go see Melony to get the perfect color. read more

I called for a appointment and so very lucky they fit me in same day. I had my hair cut the day before at a different salon, and the stylist, if you can call her that did a chop block on my hair. It was so bad, I didn't want to be in public. Jade at Tangles cut my hair perfectly just like I wanted. Everyone in the salon said hello and they were all extremely nice. You won't be disappointed getting your hair done at Tangles. Phenomenal service! read more

I had a Brazilian blowout done. It was 250.00 barely lasted 3 weeks. I notified them, had a second one done (no charge). However it wasn't any better. I realize the product is expensive although I do not believe you can skimp when putting it on. I will not have another one done there. read more

I made and appointment and arrived 10 minutes before. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment, I was finally told that the stylist was running 30 minutes behind. I agreed to wait. But over an hour later I was still waiting. Poor customer service! Really disappointed. read more

I've been here about once a year for the past three years and I can honestly say every time has been a good experience. I came in this past Friday, after requesting a last minute appointment, and they nicely fit me in. Melissa Stone gave me a lob cut and I love it! She was also super sweet and friendly. I highly recommend this place because every time I've had a different stylist and every single one has been great. I've never been to a salon where this is the case. read more

AWFUL. I got a deep conditioning treatment by Cristy and my hair turned out 10 times worse than what I came in for. She had me order a pizza she told me she would pay half for and then never paid me. I was in such a rush and she was super rough with my hair, she would complain every single time I had a knot in my hair. I paid 150$ for the treatment and cut but never got the cut. I called the next day for my money back, the receptionist told me that she would have cristy call me but cristy never called me. Worst salon experience and I will never be returning. I understand mistakes happen but I should never have to pay 150$ to make my hair worse than i walked in for. read more

Kymberli is an absolute professional. I've been waiting years to review a place when I finally got the cut I wanted. She understood exactly what I was going for, and executed it brilliantly. I am so happy! I'm bewildered by the content of the two negative reviews. I find it hard to believe those people actually had that terrible of an experience worthy of 1 star. I have been to many upscale salons, and this is still the only one who heard my vision for my hair and then actually produced it. I would definitely recommend them to a picky friend. read more

Tangles Salon and Boutique - Hair Salons Near Me - Edmond, Oklahoma

I came here not too long ago after I had made an appointment and when I arrived my stylist was pulled to the side and fired in front of me. It was not even communicated to me by the owner but rather my stylist who was on the verge of tears. It was very unprofessional of the owner and left me waiting and confused for about 30 minutes. I gave up on getting my hair done after never being helped and decided this place is too unprofessional and tacky anyways. I've also heard multiple stories from friends that have been here and have equal horror stories. Many of them got something completely different then what they asked for due to the owner hiring not very good stylists. Do not expect much if you decide to come here. read more

Hello, i'm giving Tangles a 4 star because I went here my junior year of high school and the person who did my hair literally chopped all of it off, when I just wanted a trim to my shoulders. I had an A LINE BOB. I was so depressed and felt ugly for months after this happened. I recently went back to try another hair style/ color, and it went wonderfully. The person who did my hair is Sara Taylor. I highly recommend going to her because she understood what I wanted and really listened to me. She did such a thorough job with my hair, I've never had someone care so much about it before. She is the reason I love Tangles now, even though I had an awful experience before! read more

I had never been here before, but my wife's favorite stylist Donnie has become one of the stylists here. Donnie always does a fantastic job on my wife's hair, and she can even tame my wild mane and beard. I'm sure Tangles was a great place to go before Donnie got here, but now they're just that much better. read more

Having been new to the area I decided to wing it and choose tangles. Good salon atmosphere, bad stylist. I went there about 7 months befoer my wedding to get a trim and a color, to my shock the stylist cut off 3 inches off my shoulder length hair. I was very angry and it ruined my hair for my wedding. The color was good but I would never go back to that stylist. I found a better place in OKC, a little bit more money but they are miles above Tangles! read more

Scheduled a haircut not realizing they don't dry or style it unless you specify that when scheduling?! Really?!!!??? Will NEVER go back.

The stylist was decent enough, she asked if I wanted my hair washed, and I said yes. And then she cut it, and asked if I wanted it to be dried. I thought that was odd because not only was it 20 degrees when I got my haircut back in January, but I wouldn't want to walk out of a salon with wet hair and not get to see the haircut styled. Apparently it costs extra. I've never experienced that before. I wouldn't go back or recommend them to anyone. Maybe for children. read more

I had my eyelashes done by MacKenzie she does a fantastic job. I also love shopping there. Everyone is very friendly.

I'm sorry the last person had a bad experience but Tangles is a good place. They have been in Edmond forever and I have been going there and their sister salon for a while. My experience has always been good . Did you tell the manger? Did she try to make it right? They are usually pretty good about things like that. read more

I went in for an appt. recently for shampoo & blowdry. A few days BEFORE my appt. I viewed their website to see their pricing. Their website price with a (Stylist) was $20.00. To be absolute sure about the pricing, in addition to viewing their prices on their website, I called the salon and asked about the pricing on their shampoo & blowdry and was told the same exact price that I saw on their website - $20.00 with a Stylist, but that the price would go up if I made appt. with a Master Designer, Senior Master Designer, etc. After clearly verifying the $20.00 price for shampoo & blowdry with a Stylist, I then made an appt. with one of their Stylist"s for a shampoo & blowdry. So then, after all my inquiring about pricing BEFOREHAND, this is what happened on the day of my appt., I came in for my scheduled appt. and after the Stylist was done with my shampoo & blowdry, I was charged $30.00 (NOT the $20.00!!!)!!!!! I asked why the charge was $30.00 and NOT the stated $20.00 and they said, well... the shampoo & blowout was $20.00 but the products used in your hair was an ADDITIONAL $10.00!!!!!! WHAT???? In ALL the years that I've gone to hair salons, NEVER have I EVER been charged an ADDITIONAL price for the products that the stylists used in my hair!!!!!! I've lived in 5 different cities over the years and have visited many different hair salons in my lifetime and I have NEVER EVER been charged an EXTRA fee for products that they use in your hair!!!!!!! Tangles, this is definately MISREPRESENTATION!!!!!! Shame on you!!!!!! I will never step foot in Tangles again and will share this important information with anyone and everyone!!!!!! Oh, and I was required to rate this review before it would post, and since there were no 0 stars, I had to post 1 star. read more

I just had to add my review! I am new to the area and Tangles is where I ended up and I am glad! Kimber was so thoughtful and helpful she cut my hair one day and I like her so much I came back and had her color and highlight it. She was informative and gave me guidance on the color and care of my hair!! All at a reasonable price as well. Great atmosphere, friendly people I recommend Tangles to all who are looking for a salon read more

Hello, I put one star but I wouldn't even give that. The girl Lexi who cut my hair did one side not the other, no framing around my face or blending throughout the entire haircut. It was awful I was very displeased. Also she was smacking her gum n my ear the whole time n sighing as if she were bored. read more

The first time I went here I had a pretty good experience. I got 15 inches cut off by Lindy. I was happy with how it looked, even though when I got home I noticed a small chunk of hair near my jaw was uneven. Oh well, it hardly showed so I didn't really mind. I went back for a trim two days ago, and requested Lindy again. She trimmed my hair and I went on my way. When I got home, I realized that one side was over an inch longer than the other. In addition, it was very choppy and I had some strings of hair that were just hanging down. I looked utterly lopsided. I went in the next day and said I needed it fixed. They saw me right away, but the woman who fixed it STILL left it longer on one side. Now, I've lost the slight A-Line style I liked, and it's way shorter than I wanted. The worst part is I will need to have even more taken off to get it evened out. I'm not happy. I paid $40 plus a tip for this? I'll be requesting my money back and never returning--I can get a crappy hair cut at Super Cuts for a lot less. read more

I've been going to Kimberly for over a year now at Tangles. She does great work every time and so sweet! The rest of the staff is very friendly and always greets me when I walk in the door. I also love the adjoining boutique here! read more

I really like Nancy, my haridresser, but the salon is strange. They do not routinely wash and style you hair when you get a haircut, they charge you seperately! I have never been to any other salon that does that. I do think that if you are getting your hair cut you need to start with clean hair, and if they dont style it while you are there how do you know if there might be a problem?? ?Also, they will not let you include a tip if you are paying with a credit or debit card, you have to have cash on hand to tip which is inconvenient for me as I seldom carry any cash. I do like Nancy but am looking for another salon that is a little more customer friendly. read more

I've been to Tangles twice. It is conveniently located so I tried it more than once. The atmosphere, staff, and stylists were awful both times; arrogant and unfriendly. The cut for my 4 year old son was ok. The cut and color for myself was ok. When are these stylist going to learn they are selling themselves, not just their skills. I don't want to spend an hour with any hateful person much less pay to spend an hour with them. read more

I am not sure why this place has gotten so many negative reviews. I am quite picky about my hair, as well as who cuts it, and they did a good job at Tangles. They were friendly, quick, and the price wasn't too bad. It is on par or cheaper than other good salons. The gal that cut my hair is Kimbra. She was sweet, and did a great job. I plan to go back to her when I need a cut again. read more
