I've been a loyal client of Robertson Cosmetic Center for several years, but unfortunately, I will…read moreno longer be returning. As a mother of two young children, finding time or justification to spend money on myself is rare. To ease the financial guilt, I usually wait for special promotions or discounted gift card offers. That's exactly what I did for Mother's Day--I purchased a $150 gift card for $100 as a small treat to myself. Yesterday, I received a message from Robertson staff reminding me of available gift cards, which prompted me to schedule an appointment. Since I was at work, I didn't want to make a call, so I used their online booking system. The first available appointment was with the provider I normally see, and I thought, "Perfect! Next Wednesday." I booked it and moved on with my day. A few hours later, I received a voicemail saying I had missed an appointment 20 minutes ago and that I had been charged $100 for a no-show. My stomach dropped. I immediately called to explain the situation--that I mistakenly thought I was booking for next week, not today. I was even willing to leave work early (I'm only 9 minutes away) and come in right then. I explained how I truly cannot afford to just lose $100, and I was hoping for a little understanding or flexibility. Unfortunately, none was offered. The receptionist said she'd check with the practice manager and placed me on hold for one minute before returning to say, "Sorry, it's our policy." I asked to speak with the manager directly, and after several hours with no call back, I called again--this time the manager answered. She seemed prepared to shut me down before even hearing me out. I explained that I completely understand why cancellation policies exist--to prevent missed opportunities for other clients and protect the business from late cancellations--but this was clearly a genuine mistake, not an abuse of the system. I asked if anyone had even tried to get in during that same window, which would have indicated a lost opportunity--but she refused to answer directly. Her only response was, "It's our policy." I then asked to speak to someone above her, and the next day Dr. Robertson called me. Unfortunately, his response was just as dismissive. No empathy, no flexibility--just, again, "It's our policy." It's really disappointing, especially considering how much I've spent over the years and how many people I've referred to them. I know most of my referrals probably didn't even use my name, but they were all based on the trust I had in this practice. That trust is now gone. All this over $100. What makes this even more frustrating is that I didn't receive the usual confirmation or reminder text for the appointment. When I asked why, I was told those only go out at 7:00 a.m., and I had made the appointment after that time. If that's the case, patients should not be able to book same-day appointments online without some kind of confirmation system in place. A simple text might have helped me catch the mistake. I understand policies exist for a reason. But good businesses know when to make exceptions--especially for long-standing clients with genuine intentions. Life happens, and there are plenty of other providers who balance professionalism with empathy. I'll be taking my business to one of them.

I have had a very long, awful lip filler experience here. I went here 6+ times and spent…read more*thousands* of dollars to leave every time just to heal and have lumpy, uneven lips with very little results a few weeks later... over and over and over. I kept coming back and listening to their messages because I didn't go to school for this, so what do I know? 6+ visits later all I'm dealing with STILL are lips full of lumps of uneven filler, heavy heavy migration ("filler mustache" if you want to google) and no results. I pointed out from the beginning that I was unhappy and I have many messages going back and forth about that, and the lumps. Then at my last appointment I wanted to discuss the lumps and the weird fullness only in the middle, and was told any bump she saw then was "natural anatomy". I pointed out multiple times (in messages I have screenshots of through Klara), how unhappy I was with no results and the lumpiness (nearly immediately after my second appointment), and I was told every time to just keep coming back and they'd fix it. It was never fixed. It never got better. I came here to fix how self conscious I was of my thin lips and I've been more insecure of the bumps and lumps and migrating filler than I ever was of my natural lips. None of the photos in the nasty collage I put together were directly after or within 2 weeks of the filler healing, so these are NOT healing bumps or swollen. All of these are just day to day pictures I took when I was feeling awful about my lips that I zoomed in on and cropped, or regular photos I cropped. I don't even understand how filler is done this poorly. Now I'm struggling to find another place that will dissolve this ugly mess so I can start over after putting thousands into what I thought was a good place.

I was doing a $0 consultation and they wanted to have it in case I didn't show up. Well, needless to say, the consultation is for me to decide if I want to be a customer and I've decided your policy makes me NOT want to be a customer. Whilst I understand their policy, if you can't trust me to come when I say I am going to come - then I'll take my business to someone who trusts me as a customer!

She had given me some options with an estimation of how many treatments I would need and showed me a variety of results from other clientele. Given the cost...I was slightly hesitant so I waited a couple months to book it. They book about a month in advance. Ultimately, I got the genius RF microneedling done. While the procedure was painful to say the least even with the numbing...Rachel made me feel comfortable in going at a slower pace on some parts of my face. She had offered laughing gas as an option but I declined and endured the pain. Literally, I'm 4 days out since I had last it done. I peeled on my chin and nose area yesterday...but if I'm only this far out, and full results are expected in 8-12 weeks...I WISH SOMEONE HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PLACE EARLIER! They seriously do some magic here. A few days ago I went in to get some products (sunscreen and silver gel) which was recommended in the aftercare instructions and the lady at the desk who helped me was informative and very helpful. I didn't feel pressured at all in buying the products knowing I'd have to invest.

I wanted my eyeliner to look the same, as it should! I still use eyeliner to even the sides out. Her work looks very unprofessional, shameful as this is permanent. It's actually eyeliner, but only a verrry thin line, situated amongst upper eyelashes. The owner of this salon is now relocated in Colorado and she has her sister taking clients, at a half-price discount. Well this is where I made my major mistake: thinking that DISCOUNT face tattoos were a remotely good idea. I was wrong! The pictures say it all. The sister attributed it to swelling and healing and quickly offered a free follow-up session. Thanks but no thanks! Would you go back to a restaurant that gave you explosive diarrhea food poisoning?? But instead of explosive diarrhea I have a FACE TATTOO that 2 technicians at different salons have told me it will be very difficult to correct. Specifically the inner corner of my left eye is so botched that I will need to just wait for it to fade. There is no shape to correct it without giving me extremely thick eyeliner. I don't want extremely thick eyeliner so I'm going to need to live with the visual proof of my frugal foolishness on my FACE for the next 2ish years. I've since learned there are many places in the Madison area that will do upper eyelash enhancement. Find them! Go there! You get what you pay for.
