Their laser has a blast of cold air that cools the skin and makes any discomfort nearly non-existent! It's been great and I wish I would have done this sooner! I had shopped around at several different hair removal centers, and the prices at TBLSC are very competitive and reasonable for what they offer. They recently moved to a beautiful new location on the west side of Madison off the beltline highway and Whitney Way, so it is very convenient. They have also added several additional services. My experience here was disappointing…read more I made an appointment for a consultation for a laser treatment for sun spots, since I saw on the Total Body and Laser website that they advertised a specific laser I was interested in using. At the consultation the staff member informed me that they did not have the laser listed on their website, but instead have the Picosure laser. I asked whether Picosure was ablative or non-ablative and the staff member did not know. I went home and did my own research about the laser. I booked an appointment for sun spot treatment with Picosure. At the appointment, I was quoted $350 for treating the spots. I said okay and the staff member treated one spot on my face and a few on my legs. The treatment lasted under 15 minutes. Throughout the visit, there are many signs prompting customers to pay a gratuity. At checkout, I was prompted to pay a gratuity via the CC machine. I am happy to pay a gratuity for an hour long facial etc. However, the treatment lasted under 15 minutes and I was prompted to give a 30% tip, i.e. over $100 for 15 minutes. This strikes me as too much and out of line with the practice at other med spas. All this would have been fine if I would have had good results. However, it has been over two weeks since the appointment and there are absolutely zero results from the treatment. None. On their website it states that the "pigmented lesion will darken during treatment". This did not happen, nor has it happened since. I am assuming that either the staff member did not use the laser correctly or the laser was faulty. All in all a costly, disappointing, ineffective interaction.

She advised me of several other options (one of which was not offered at Aesthetica). I felt very safe in her care because she wasn't just giving me what I asked for, she was helping me make an informed choice, even though it meant less business for Aesthetica. So I did get fillers in one area and I am REALLY happy with them. Jodie is really good at what she's does and my face still looks like my face - just refreshed. Some FYIs - I think the consult was $50. When I paid for my service they deducted the $50. My fillers ended up costing ~$600 in total. There's also a rewards program that you can sign up for to get discounts on future services. I will definitely be back.

I get these lashes that are too long for my eyelashes, so they don't look right. And they're straight. So they're starting to curl unnaturally, and curl into each other. If you have eyelashes that are different from long and straight, beware!
