Providing an honest review of my experience:…read more I came to this office for a second opinion and had some texture concerns around my mouth. During my consultation, Dr. Robertson recommended that I meet with Jessie to discuss laser treatment options. Jessie recommended erbium laser resurfacing around my mouth. I was told to expect approximately 2-3 weeks of downtime and that any pinkness could last up to six months but would be easy to cover with makeup. I was also shown before-and-after photos that appeared to show very positive outcomes. My personal experience was very different from what I expected. I experienced approximately 12 weeks of downtime, and my skin felt extremely tight, almost "shrink-wrapped." My smile and facial animation also felt altered. When I shared these concerns with Dr. Robertson, I was told that this was consistent with laser resurfacing. For me, these sensations persisted for around 10 months. At nearly 11 months post-procedure, I still feel my skin texture looks unusually smooth and shiny, and some pre-existing texture or scars appear more noticeable or different than before. At my three-month follow-up appointment, when I expressed concern about these changes, I was told that little could be done for a year or more because additional treatments could trigger inflammation. I believe this possibility should have been discussed more clearly before treatment, because I would not have moved forward had I fully understood the potential recovery timeline and limitations afterward. Before proceeding with erbium, I specifically asked whether Halo laser might be a better option. Jessie told me that it would take "10 Halo treatments to achieve the results of erbium." Another aspect that was not fully explained to me was how noticeable the contrast between treated and untreated skin could appear during healing. In my experience, blending remained obvious for many months. My overall feeling is that I was not fully informed about the extent of recovery, the appearance changes during healing, or the emotional impact of the process. As a result, the experience was very difficult for me and affected my trust moving forward. I would also encourage anyone considering this treatment to keep in mind that before-and-after photos shown in consultations are often taken in highly controlled lighting conditions that may minimize how texture and reflectivity appear. In everyday lighting, I personally felt that redness, shininess, and texture changes were much more noticeable. Prepare to be uncomfortable with what you see for 6-10 months. The mouth area takes longer to heal because skin is thinner and in constant motion, plus it is the focal point of your face, so any change is more noticeable. In my opinion, this procedure should not be considered a minor recovery treatment. Prospective patients should be prepared for the possibility of significant downtime, prolonged healing, and emotional stress related to appearance changes during recovery. I do not feel those aspects were adequately explained to me during my consultation. I genuinely wish I had understood these possibilities beforehand, because I would have made a different decision. I am sharing my experience so that others considering erbium laser resurfacing can make a more informed decision. The second picture is before the others are after. They feel this is a good outcome. I do not feel the same way.

I met with Jodie for my consult and she gave me some very honest advice - she informed me that fillers would not be a good solution to one of my problems. She advised me of several other options (one of which was not offered at Aesthetica). I felt very safe in her care because she wasn't just giving me what I asked for, she was helping me make an informed choice, even though it meant less business for Aesthetica. So I did get fillers in one area and I am REALLY happy with them. Jodie is really good at what she's does and my face still looks like my face - just refreshed. Some FYIs - I think the consult was $50. When I paid for my service they deducted the $50. My fillers ended up costing ~$600 in total. There's also a rewards program that you can sign up for to get discounts on future services. I will definitely be back.

As a bonus, it's also a very beautiful facility. I had laser treatment for broken capillaries. The only bad part is that they are only open during "business hours" Monday through Friday.

The procedure was performed using conscious sedation rather than general anesthesia, which I felt was a safer approach. At three weeks post-op, I had more facial sensation than I did years after my first facelift. Dr. Parfitt performed my facelift, neck lift, and forehead lowering with scalp advancement. Scar revision from my prior facelift and correction of my earlobes were included as part of the facelift. The scars healed extremely well with his soft-tissue technique, including removal of visible scarring along the back hairline. His approach reflects a strong focus on safety, risk reduction, and long-term function--not just appearance. The clinic is beautiful, well organized, and efficiently run. Dr. Parfitt has a calm, steady manner and excellent aesthetic judgment. He was clear and realistic about what results to expect, and his recommendations were conservative and natural. I look refreshed, not "done." Recovery was smooth. He provided clear post-op instructions and supplement recommendations to help reduce swelling, which I believe helped. After surgery, he gave me his personal cell number and responded promptly to texts, even on weekends. For the level of care, craftsmanship, and results, his pricing is very fair. Highly recommend. I was interested in having some skin tightening done under my eyes and had a consult scheduled yesterday. I took off work and arrived for my 2:30 appointment. At 3:10 I had not been seen yet. Twice I was told he was "just finishing up and would be in shortly." I had somewhere to be at 3:30 so I informed the office manager I was leaving. Her words were "he's just finishing up with discharging someone," zero apology. She sat there and said nothing when I said I was leaving and I was not pleased I had taken off work. I still have not heard from them to follow up and am assuming I won't. To act like my time isn't valuable is inexcusable. This comes less than a month after I referred my sister to have $20k in procedures done, and they knew that. I will never return.

I've had maybe 5-10 facials in the past and loved them so I was really excited for this experience. I arrived at my appointment and the owner, Marie, was very nice. But things went downhill from there. First of all, with all the facials I've had in the past, I've always been asked to remove my shirt and lower my bra straps if I was comfortable so that the aesthetician could work on my neck and decolletage as well as my face. Not at Derma 180. Marie asked me to lay on the bed fully clothed which I found odd. We proceeded to have a conversation about how I have sensitive skin and a compromised skin barrier which caused my cheeks and chin to be pink. I also mentioned that I had just exfoliated my skin a few days prior so with these two factors, I asked her to go light on the exfoliation. She proceeded to put an enzyme (read: exfoliant) on my face which burned at a level of 3/5 but which I could tolerate. She then proceeded with another chemical exfoliant on my face which burned so badly (5/5) that my eyes were watering and I couldn't handle it. She then wiped it off with a cotton pad and it felt like sandpaper on my face and hurt really bad. Instead of using a wet towel to wipe off any remaining residue, she proceeded to put a mask on my face which she said would soothe the pain. Problem is, there were still traces of the chemical exfoliant on my face since she didn't clean it off properly and it still slightly burned, even with the next mask on. Also strange, between the mask applications, she just sat behind me in a chair in silence. During other facials I've had, this is the time when the aesthetician would take the time to massage my scalp, neck, arms and legs. Not here. There was no steam, the smell of the products was not great and Marie had a bright light turned on which was shining in my face 70% of the time. Usually an aesthetician will only shine a bright light in your face during extractions and then turn it off so you can relax. My face was really red after the facial but this is somewhat normal for me as I have sensitive skin and it normally calms down after a few hours. I am now 7 hours post facial and the redness has worsened on my cheeks and chin and they have swollen and are warm to the touch as if I got a bad sunburn. This has never happened to me before and as I've previously stated, this is not my first facial. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Derma 180. Marie is nice, the music she played was relaxing and she didn't pressure me to buy her products, which I appreciated. Other than those 3 things, I would consider this experience to be a major fail. I now get to start my new job tomorrow looking like a red, puffy faced Santa Claus. Whoo. My advice to Marie would be to visit top spas, experience their facials, take notes and replicate those practices in your own business.
