I have been going to Dow Chiropractic Clinic for Laser Lipo since November, 2024. In that time I have lost 40 pounds and am almost 2 sizes down. I am here to tell you that it works! I've been a fan of Dr. Dow and his office manager Celeste since August. I began with infrared light treatments. Advertised for body sculpting, those treatments have greatly reduced the inflammation and pain in my lower back. Such an improvement! After a month, I had a chiropractic consult and have begun having adjustments and acupuncture. These are making a huge difference on my list of arthritic aches and pains. When I started with Dr. Dow, I was taking alot of Advil and Tylenol for severe knee, shoulder and lower back pain. After about a month of treatment, most of my pain has disappeared and I rarely take anything for pain. I was recently picking up my granddaughter from school. I am grateful to Dr. Dow for the improvements in my health. I've come to rely on him for information on issues I previously dealt with. There are many. I hadn't known how many could be related to the correct functioning of my spine. They ought to teach that in high school biology. Or maybe even kindergarten! People should be taught that accidents or falls can dislodge vertebrae, but the body then develops coping movements to keep us going as well as possible. This disguises the problems with seemingly unrelated body systems that depend on connections from body parts through the spine and on up to the brain. When that "communication route" is diminished, things out in the body don't work right depending on which vertebra is out of alignment. I think it's absurd and unconscionable that many medical practitioners have not been taught this as basic bodily health information. But chiropractors know. Dr. Dow taught me. Lucky me! read more

I travel over an hour and a half weekly just to see Dr. Dow. I've experienced about 5 chiropractors and physical therapy in the past previous 15 years, and never gotten consistent positive results. I also feel he tries different techniques to suit my current discomfort. (Each day or week may vary). Last December I was suffering excruciating shoulder pain that then began to present more like heart attack symptoms. A trip to the ER showed that my heart was fine but they did nothing to address whatever was causing my pain. Then I searched for a chiropractor who had the same training as the one we had used in Seattle and found Dr. Dow. He immediately identified the source of my problems - pinched nerves in my neck and within a couple treatments I was feeling much better. He has also given me several exercises to help me improve. His knowledge of the body is encyclopedic and he is very willing to share that knowledge. I bought a Groupon with the intention of getting some stress relief through acupuncture; I didn't really care about the chiropractic evaluation that was included. The evaluation is super thorough and includes some simple physical tasks. I opted to also purchase X-rays ($40) and was amazed at what was revealed. Where there is supposed to be curvature, I have a straightness. Turns out, many of the stress symptoms I was having were from a very minor car accident several years before. I was that person who only wanted the once a month adjustment, but after seeing my x-rays I did sign up for a regimen of 3x week/3 months. I have been amazed at the relief, and care that I have received. There are many tools and processes that were unfamiliar to me, but Dr Dow had patiently explained they WHY behind every exercise and tool that has been used and suggested. He'll happily show you before and after x-ray from patients who have gotten valuable pain relief, and has a large book of patient testimonials in the waiting are. I was in a traumatic car accident in 1997 and saw Dr. Dow during my recovery. He treated me with gentle accupunture, massage, and chiropractic adjustments. When I first started seeing him, my pain was terrible... I couldn't move my head very far in any direction without discomfort, had numbness and tingling in my elbow and hand, and frankly feared that the rest of my life would be impacted. At only 25 yrs old that thought was really daunting! Thankfully, with his help, I've recovered significantly. I still see Dr. Dow often for preventive care and his excellent holistic approach to health. For example, he recently introduced me to the Pettibon System for improving my posture and balance. I practice this at his office and at home with simple tools. I've noticed my neck mobility has increased even more, I suffer from fewer headaches, and my running gait is more balanced which means I feel a lot less pain while excercising. Thankfully, due to what I think is outstanding, exceptional care of Dr. Dow, I'm doing things today like training for my second marathon, driving motorcycles all summer long, and playing heartily with my 9yr old son. I have a hard time even giving this chiropractor one star! I never had issues with headaches or confusion, but after this doctor used what felt like a jackhammer to my head (some sort of two pronged electrical tool), the headaches and confusion began. I am not new to the chiropractic world, but this tool has been the only difference - needless to say, I am not impressed! I also was just trying to find a chiropractor in the area who could give me just an adjustment once a month, so needless to say I was surprised when he didn't listen to me and tried to have me purchase a plan that would have me coming 3 days a week for 3 months, and that would cost me a few thousand dollars, stating that my neck is "so bad". Well, it isn't the case. When he realized that I wasn't going to spend money like that, he then presented me with a plan that would have me coming in once a week for about a thousand dollars. Amazing how I went from being so bad and needing to come in three times a week to now only needing to come in once a week! I just can't recommend him. read more
