I can not say enough amazing things about our day at Luxe. I was booking a Bachelorette party for my best friend from out of state. I had originally booked another spa in Lancaster that "lost" our reservation 3 weeks before. I called Luxe in an absolute panic hoping they could accommodate 8 girls in 3 weeks for multiple treatments. They sprung into action. Nate and Kat went above and beyond to help schedule all of us. They called me back multiple times a day, sent confirmations emails and a detailed schedule and calmed all of my worries. When the day came and we arrived the entire staff was exceptional. We arrived and were led into a room with couches and blankets to hang out in for the day. We had carried in food and mimosa's and they had a table set up, offered us water and coffee and made us more than comfortable. Our appointments flowed easily and everyone was taken back on time. The Bride was over the moon to receive a full day of pampering. Each staff member we interacted with was extremely pleasant. I had moved to the area from NJ and was looking for a trendy salon. I found Luxe on yelp and ended up really loving it! The inside is cute, the staff is friendly, and they use really nice products. I have had them do cuts and coloring (I am very picky about my color looking natural) and have never been disappointed. On top of everything, they are pretty efficient (my other experiences in the area weren't too bad, but took forever). I went to Luxe for my first Brazilian EVER. I was greeted by friendly staff, and a glass of wine to calm my nerves. Mandi was the perfect combination of professional and comforting. I was very anxious and she walked me through the whole process, kept me calm and breathing and did a wonderful job! I received a very bad cut from a Master Stylist who also over processed my highlights. In addition, they over charged me and when I questioned it, the stylist walked away and the owner Anna was curt and rude and said I paid extra to fix my over processed highlights and that was typical for a client to pay for the correction. Not customer friendly, not professional, way overpriced. I will never go there again. read more

Microblading with Brow Genius Natasha: I just got my brows microbladed today with Natasha and had an amazing experience! I want to take a little time to share my whole brow journey, just in case you're thinking about trying microblading at Luxe, but may be still on the fence about it. The Consultation The multi-step process starts with a consultation, in which Natasha provided a microblading introduction/orientation. She was candid in her discussion about the process and very knowledgable as she explained how it all works. She answered all of my questions, looked at some of my "brow-spirations" from Instagram, and took the time to show me photos of her past microblading clients (who all look fabulous!). Fast forward to today! Initial Microblading Appointment My overall experience was fantastic! Natasha is just as sweet, calm, and knowledgable as she was during my consultation appointment. We started by revisiting what I thought would be an ideal brow for my face, Natasha gave her insights, I completed some paperwork, and she reviewed the after care procedures with me. Then it was down to brow business! She spent a good amount of time mapping my "new" brows onto my face. She uses this outline as a guide during the process. Then she showed me the "blade," which is more like very tiny needles in a single row (not intimidating at all!). The most painful part for me (which could be very different for someone else) was the initial strokes before the numbing cream was able to get under my skin. It was NOT horrible pain, but I did tear up a few times. Once the numbing cream was working its magic, I experienced zero pain. Before I even knew it, we were done! When I saw the results...I was SO THRILLED. My expectations were definitely exceeded!! The ink color Natasha chose is an EXACT match, the hair strokes are so naturally placed, and the shape Natasha custom designed for my face is utterly perfect. Follow Up Appointment Natasha likes to see her microblading clients four weeks after the initial procedure for a touch up appointment. She will look at my brows to see if there are any other spots that may need more hair strokes. Needless to say, the scheduling process was a BREEZE, and I will be seeing Natasha again in May! I told Natasha that my brows have always been my biggest insecurity. Even when the rest of my make up is on point, I never felt wholly confident because of my brows. Now that they are evenly shaped, uniform, and sleek - I am feeling SO great!! I only wish I would have done it sooner! So I was there recently with a bridal party. We were late to the appt which they were very nice about. I asked for the gel nail polish. The girl who did my nails was nice but I noticed there are small bubbles on my nails. I had just had gel on my nails before and didn't have this problem. Stylist would rather be talking to each other than paying attention to clients. I've been several times and I still can't find anyone I'm happy with. Did a spray tan and it never took. I have been going to Luxe for about a year. EVERY single time there has been issues with the Stylist being overbooked or flat out unavailable. The final straw was the other day when I had booked with my stylist and when I show up she is overbooked and I am told another stylist (which I had never met) will be helping me. Never got a call ahead of time to let me know and possibly reschedule. It's always "we are so sorry" but the next time it's another misunderstanding. Never again. I purchased a Groupon for a haircut, partial highlight, and wash/style for $63.25 (50% off). FYI - When buying this specific Groupon, the appointment is booked with a Luxe "New Talent" stylist. The hierarchy is New Talent, Junior, Senior, Master, and Premiere. I knew this going into it, but after my experience, I would recommend paying extra and scheduling with a higher level stylist. PROS: - The price of the Groupon package. This package is normally $120 and I purchased for nearly half off. - The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. - The salon atmosphere was very modern, well decorated, had an inviting feel to it, and was in a nice quaint area of the city. - There is on street and parking lot parking. - The New Talent stylist did a wonderful job on my highlights. I got a mix of low lights and high lights and it turned out EXACTLY like I wanted. I am thrilled with the color! - When the hair cut didn't turn out the way I wanted, the New Talent stylist was incredibly professional and took incredibly appropriate steps to rectify the situation without making me feel like I was inconveniencing her, etc. See below. CONS: - The hair cut that I wanted was in inverted/reverse bob. I had taken in several pictures of this cut to show the New Talent stylist and explained I was okay with losing length to achieve the cut and that I had had this cut in the past. The end result of my hair cut was not what I wanted. Instead, it was a slightly modified version of what I started with, which was a regular shoulder length bob with a couple random longer side pieces. In a polite manner, I told the stylist that this was not what I wanted, I explained that a lot more length had to come off the back, more shaping was needed on the sides, and would like a "re-do." She stepped away and went to consult with a Premier level stylist (highest level), Nicole. Nicole was AMAZING!!! She is not only a very experienced stylist, but also a teacher. She was professional in her approach to my situation and she quickly recognized the hair cut that I received was not what I wanted (based on my description and pictures). Nicole ended up finishing the hair cut while training the New Talent stylist at the same time, which I thought was an awesome approach. I, however, just wish that the New Talent stylist would've been up front with me and told me in the beginning (at noon when we started) that she was not comfortable with this complex cut so that I could've been assigned a different stylist from the get go. So, while the hair cut started out as a con and initial frustration in not getting what I asked for, it was also a pro because I left with the cut I wanted done by a Premiere stylist. - My appointment was 10:00 a.m. I arrived about 15 minutes early and I did not leave the salon until close to 2:00 p.m. I had not planned on being there for 4 hours and I had a 2:30 appointment about 45 minutes away, which I ended up being late to. - Gratuity is automatically charged at 20% -- probably a policy for Groupon holders. I usually tip between 15-25% across the board in all service-related industries based on service received, but I think it's presumptuous to automatically assume a 20% tip. (FYI Groupon holders: It's 20% on the original cost of services, not the Groupon amount, which for this package meant 20% was $24. I was fine with this as I tip on the original prices anyways, but wanted to clarify.) I would recommend the salon, but again, I would stick with a higher-level stylist, especially for any type of style change or complex cut. If I return, I would schedule with Nicole, the Premiere level stylist. read more

I have now been three times in the last two months. The first for a pedicure with Zinnia. Well done and clean. The second was for partial highlights partial base color done by Colleen. She is very professional and did a nice job BUT the semi permanent color product she used left my hair smelling like a chemical factory, even after 4 washings a week at home it took me two weeks to get the smell, straw consistancy, and leftover die out of my hair. I had to wash my towels immediately after each wash as they had numerous black spots after towel drying my hair. I think their product line is Bumble and Bumble, though not sure that is what she used. i have colored my hair for years and not had these problems at all for the last five. This was something that used to happen before the newer products came out. Finally I went back for another pedicure with Zinnia. I received confirmation by email, but when I showed up for the appt they had no record of it. I showed them the email and they tried to put me with someone else. I decided to leave. The confirmation specifically mentioned Zinnia, yet she was with another client when I got there. I tipped her well last time, so I don't think there would be an issue with that. Thinking just incompetence... Soooo I am moving on. The talent is good at luxe, but the admin and product line; not so much. read more

What a great environment and friendly staff. So excited to see that they offer personally assisted spray tanning and not from a booth. Can't wait to give it a try. My first time there was right before I went on vacation two weeks ago. I wanted to try a body wrap and they were able to accomodate me that same evening. The wrap, although temporarily hydrating, was pricey I thought for little more than a massage and body creme application. So very disappointed In my overall experience getting my hair done. I have gone to luxe a few different times for a facial and a massage. I went there back in January for the first time to get my hair done and I had a great experience. I was so excited to come back yesterday. During my appointment, my stylist did such a terrible job on my hair that I had to come back today and get it "fixed" by someone different. I was at the salon from 4:45 until 8:45 where I had to get my hair highlighted TW more times. The stylist didn't use a single product in my hair and used her fingers to blow dry most of it. Not only is my hair ridiculously blonde.. my scalp is sore. I also felt as if it was my fault that I didn't "explain well enough" what I wanted.. the stylist clearly didn't want to take responsibility for how my hair turned out. I wanted to keep loving luxe but after spending almost 7 hours in two days at the salon, I don't plan on returning for any services at the moment. read more

I went to Luxe for a bachelorette party spa day. I thought the staff was professional, and the place was clean. We received facials, manicures, and massages in a package deal that we were happy with. However, hours following my facial, my face was red and puffy. The next day, I woke up with not only a swollen face, but a rough patchy rash all over my face. When I called the spa to let them know, they were sympathetic, but unwilling to compensate me. I've never had an allergic reaction to any skin care product-ever. I wouldn't even say I have "sensitive skin." It is now the 4th day I've had an unchanging rash. I haven't been able to go to the gym or wear make-up. The spa's advice to me was "go see a doctor" and "this could happen to anyone." The leading aesthetician said, "If you went to a restaurant and ate food that you had an allergic reaction to, its the same thing, you wouldn't hold the restaurant responsible." The least the spa could have done was refunded me the money I spent on their facial to pay my co-pay at the doctor and for the time I'm missing at work to see the doctor. Especially since they describe their facials as "soothing, healing, nourishing, balancing, clarifying, softening." ---mine was anything but. Ugh, never again. read more
