Left to right Fried chicken, wontons, Chicken w chili sauce, chow mein, and seafood fried rice
    Simon H.

We came for dinner with some friends and shared seafood fried rice, chow mein w bbq pork, fried chicken wings, sautéed chicken w chili sauce, beef w black bean sauce, and fried wontons. Seafood fried rice and fried chicken wings were excellent, chicken w chili sauce very tasty, beef was good but a little bit tough to chew, chow mein and wontons were good and fairly standard. We previously have come here for dim sum, which is very good as well.

Nice dimsum joint for the willowbrook area. I find they are on the higher price of things but the quality was good and we had no complaints with service and seating. I'd encourage you to make a reservation because it can get quite busy. They don't have cart service but servers will come out to offer some items. They have an online menu with pictures so if you are nervous to order then it is the perfect menu to point and choose! They also charge for tea per head.

One of those places that you have been to for ages and never get around to write a review! Here goes; binging in the Township of Langley, BC, Luxe has been a well established more proper Chinese Restaurant in the area, with Dim Sum being served for lunch, dinner with mainly Cantonese Dishes, Seafood, BBQs and other authentic entres. This restaurants is great for family gatherings and also birthday parties etc. The reason we come here is because we wanted a change of scenery once in a while from the regular Richmond Dim Sum places that are all so famous for. With a smaller Asian community in Langley, it is good to see that Luxe is able to survive after all these years, and as you can see from my photos, all the dim sum dishes are very well prepared and they are all made to order, btw, they also have dim sum carts that goes around for you to pick your fav. dishes! This is becoming less popular now, but I still like this old fashioned way of presenting all the savouries in front of you!

First time visiting Langley and found this delicious place serving yummy Cantonese style food that's right across the street from the Willowbrook Mall. The food is yummy. The BBQ pork is on a softer side which my 6 year old enjoys more than the dried burned ones. It's a cozy place that's clean and has a nice decor. Service was good and responsive. Would definitely come back again.

Stop 1 - Luxe Chinese Seafood Restaurant Langley, BC January 9, 2021 The first restaurant on our 26 of 2021 tour was the Lux Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Langley. We went with the dim sum menu and ordered a variety of dishes and I have to say we were not disappointed. Everything was so delicious. We were served hot tea as soon as we sat down. The staff was efficient working together like a well oiled machine and they all wore masks to comply with the Covid protocols. Items arrived quickly and were well presented. Our order consisted of the Deep Fried Shrimp Egg rolls, Steamed Sticky Mini Rice Rolls, Steamed Prawn Dumplings, Steamed Pork Dumplings, Beef Short Ribs with Black Pepper, Steamed Beef Balls with Cilantro and Steamed Rice Rolls with BBQ Pork. We never knew that steamed food could taste this marvelous. If this was a competition of food items though we would have to say our favorite overall was the crunchy, not greasy, perfect Deep Fried Shrimp Egg Rolls. They alone would make you want to come back again and again. A close second would be the Steamed Rice Rolls with BBQ Sauce. (We would love to know how to make that sauce.) At some point we will have to revisit this restaurant and try out different items on their extensive Dim Sum Menu. Our first stop the Luxe gets 5 stars out of 5.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the lower mainland. I come here all the time for dim sum. The portions are great and tastes even better, plus I don't have to drive across the bridge for good dim sum. They serve dim sum daily from 10am-3pm and have carts where you can pick what you want which I'm sure everyone loves. Their staff are always so friendly and attentive and on the ball. Weekends are crazy and no reservations are allowed so be sure to get up bright and early if you want to skip the line. It's honestly worth the wait though. I've also been here a few times for their dinner menu and the dishes are still fantastic. If you order Peking duck, they carve the whole duck in front of you, it's amazing ! I would recommend the egg tarts for dessert ;)

Shumai about 45 minutes later, after everyone else got theirs.
    John S.

Asked for shumai dumplings 7 times (asking real nice too) the 45 minutes sitting down to at least 6 different cart hawkers. The cart with shumai rolls out, of course it's gone by the time it comes to our table. We had enough and flag the manager. The manager got it for us under 5 minutes! None of the cart hags bothered ask the kitchen on their rounds, just answer "it's coming". Beef was greasy and under seasoned, fried squid was cold and soggy, only thing hot was the egg tarts. Overpriced garbage with lazy staff with attitude problems. Nothing luxe about it except the luxe of dissatisfaction.

Well colour me impressed! This could be the beginning of China Town in Langley. Seemingly authentic Chinese food. If there were more things on the menu that I could pronounce, I'd probably have given the review five stars! The 3 dishes we had were excellent!!! Vegetables were crisp, flavours were rich and ambiance was inviting. We'll definitely be back. Sayonara! A Japan reference, I know :)

Came here for a friend wedding ceremony and to my surprise that there is a big Chinese restaurant in Langley. I rarely go to Langley and so I had to google this place up. The restaurant is not big. Food is ok. But the reason why I am giving this place 4 star is because of the service. I really like the service. When the pop in my glass goes low they come right away to refill it. The come and change the plates. Good service. Decor is ok. Its Langley.

Seafood pan fried noodle that was stale and not crispy. We pointed it out to the two staff but they did nothing about it.

The interior was nice and modern. Comfy chairs, sleek tables and I got to choose a bigger table with a lazy Susan in the middle. A couple of staff members were quick to help us with teas or anything else we needed. We chose the Yang Chow Fried Rice which came in a very unique pyramid configuration. We also ordered eggplant, har gow, sui mai and BBQ pork buns. All were pretty standard, with my only disappointment being the BBQ pork buns. I'm not sure what happened with the steamer or the steaming process, but 2/3 buns in the bamboo container came out looking good and fluffy, but the third came out looking and feeling quite soggy. Good solid choice for Dim Sum if you are in South Surrey. I'd be interested in trying their dinner dishes in the near future.

Which means not the friendliest or best, but that is usually the sign of a great restaurant. We had to ask for the dim sum menu, which isn't extensive but has all the staples. Siu Mai, har gow, char siu bao. The food was decent and we did order one other dish off the regular menu, which was a veggie dish, but they said they could only make Chinese broccoli for lunch. Honestly, there are other restaurants in this strip mall plaza that I'd try before going back, but in a pinch it isn't terrible.

Dropped in here for lunch…read more The decor was clean and modern, but there was some packaging lying around on the front tables. I ordered the cucumber salad and seafood fried rice with XO sauce, as well as tea. The tea came first, with a very nice Western style porcelaib pot and cup and saucer. Elegant! The cucumber salad had an interesting dressing, slightly sweet, but with a healthy amount of garlic. Somehow, for me, it worked. The cucumber was very fresh and served as a nice neutral base to build the flavors on. I was warned when I ordered the fried rice that it was spicy. Well, it was slightly tingly, but nothing major for my tastes. The rice was soft and loose and flavourful. Surprised by what looked like short grain rice. The rice came with some kind of whitefish, shrimp, and scallops. Also very finely diced red and green peppers, carrots, and onions. It was very flavorful, the seafood was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and tasty without being salty. I got a refill of hot water for my tea without asking, which was very appreciated. Price for one person was a bit high, but portions were large enough for sharing between two, and compared to other prices on the White Rock Beach, this wasn't too bad. A good spot for some good Chinese good!
