I was ready to book my Sx until I found out at the last minute about the Lymphatic Massages that are an extra $1100.00 which was not quoted nor talked to me about at my consultation. While on the phone with Catherine; she let me know about this extra procedure which is not mandatory; but can help with the outcome or look I am going for. This price would be added to my quote. This changed my whole perspective on choosing this medical business for my Sx; as everything was not mentioned beforehand and prices were not negotiable after information was not given to me previously so that I could make an informed decision regarding my body and the price I feel comfortable paying. Very disappointed because I was ready to book. Now I will need to do a little more research and interview other doctors. Also online it states free consultation but I was billed $50.00 for the Palmdale location which is not stated on the IG page. I paid anyway and did not really have a great experience. In the future; I would suggest letting potential customers know in advance any possible details. Kept selling me expensive laser hair removal packages of 5 sessions each. They don't turn up the machine high enough. I went through three sessions. Still have 25% of hair!!! I kept asking for them to turn up the machine. Only one tech turned up the machine. That was the most noticeable difference. $900 is a rip off. Good sales people! They got me in the pocket and those laser sessions are painful. I have course dark hair with medium to light skin tone. Should've worked. Instead they want to milk you by offering more "packages". Beware of sales tactics. I went in for one Botox treatment. The Dr. dropped a lot of the Botox fluid onto my face. He had to keep wiping it off! What a waste of my $ again! I was shocked. Do - not - use - this - office. In November 2020, I had to call three times to schedule an appointment at the Camarillo office, and each time, a message was taken to call me back BUT they never did. So I called one last time and insisted to speak to the Office Manager; she was kind, apologized, and scheduled the appointment for me. I showed up for the appointment on December 16th only to find out that appointments were cancelled for that day because the doctor had scheduled surgeries and I should have received a text or email cancellation notice which I never did otherwise why would I go to the office? For giggles? Since I was already in the office, I rescheduled the appointment for January 20th. I just called to confirm my appointment, only to hear the same excuse as last time; "the doctor is in surgery today, we cancelled all our appointments, did you not receive a cancellation notice via text or email"? Same - exact - rehearsed - lame - excuse. Good thing I called!!! Never using this office again, they are in need of some major training!! read more

The burned me severely on my labia. Which is an awful place for a burn. When i told them they mafe it seem like it was no big deal. It took 3 weeks to heal. I deceided to go back because accidents happen and i already paid. The burned ne severely again i asked for a refund and over a month of arguing i finally received one. read more

It's very rare I write a review- it's either really good or really bad! I have been a few times now to visit Dr. Focil for Botox and he is AMAZING!!!!!! I've hit my late 30's and and I panic about aging. I want to look good but not like I have had work done. His work with Botox was amazing- I have no lines but still have movement. I know elasticity decreases with age- he mentioned Voluma the last few time but I was terrified. I kept putting it off till Monday- throughout the whole experience I kept telling him not to make me look fake or like I've had major work done- he was so patient. I never really had cheekbone and they look amazing! No one has asked me if I've done something to my face, just that my skin looks great. I finally told my mom my secret and she is all over getting the procedure done. Between the Botox and Voluma I feel I haven't aged in 7 years. I live in Sherman Oaks and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The prices are unbelievable and his work is precise and nothing but perfection. read more

Reasonable prices, good service, clean atmosphere. I found this place through Groupon for laser hair removal. They were easy to make appointments, although I don't live in the area so it would be nice if they offered Saturday appointments. They took me in on time. The same gal helped me each time and she's very nice and professional. I've had laser treatment at different places before and their services overall I felt was better than my previous experiences. Ask for Jessica, she is the nicest person! She handles a rather painful experience with grace. I had laser hair removal on my legs. Mixed feelings about this place. The prices were decent so I guess you get what you pay for. The office is pretty small and people can hear each other through the walls. Also, they DON'T PROVIDE NUMING CREAM. And they forgot to tell me I could even get something like that until my third treatment, which makes a big difference with the pain. I had the lip flip done 3 days ago and I am already seeing results. It is amazing. I also had a gummy smile which is now fixed! The staff was very friendly, Monica was right by my side the entire process keeping me distracted. This was my first time and I was a little nervous. Dr Shah was gentle, explained the entire process and what to expect, and kept the nerves to a minimum. This is more a complaint about scheduling than the treatment I was receiving. I called because there was an accident on the highway to ask if it was too late to arrive for my appointment, or if I needed to reschedule. My appointments required a specific timeframe, but all the office could offer was an appointment seven weeks out. I'm all in support of policies to avoid no-shows, but in unavoidable situations like a collision on a highway, I expected a workaround, especially considering the distance I travel to get to Luxe Oxnard (which had been previously recommended to me for their services) and that I had called in advance of the appointment. Tried Botox here offered at a special price, administered by the M.D.. I was shocked at how much of the solution dripped down my face. He had to blot off the drips for at least 4 needle pokes. I had my usual 50 units, usually go to a place in Ventura. I did not get anywhere near the results I am used to getting and I got bruising. So, either the Botox was watered down or much dripped down (going to waste), or both. Also, the M.D. was pushy with sales stating I needed 60 units if I wanted to get excellant results. I nicely said no thank you twice then finally said "NO". I spoke to the owner about the experience and was told he is very experienced and never had complaints, and that perhaps I needed more units next time. I will not go back to this establishment and I can only recommend against it. read more

I love this spa! I decided to use a groupon for laser hair removal here and got addicted. It is clean, the people who work there are very professional and super sweet. Patricia (the lady who does my laser) is amazing at what she does, and one of the nicest people you will ever talk to. I had juvederm fillers done on my lips. The doctor made them look very nice, even and most importantly natural. Very nice staff, clean and relaxing environment. I also went on their protein diet that they offer. It was hard but losing 20 lbs in a month was definitely worth it! The staff was so supportive, cheering me on along the way. I highly recommend this place for laser hair removal. I found another Groupon, this time at this place and at $119 for 6 sessions. I chose to go with my underarms this time. Finding the location was a bit difficult, however, so I called and asked where they were as I was walking around trying to find it. The receptionist was very helpful and understanding as I did end up being a few minutes late trying to find it. That's my own fault, though, as I don't spend oodles of time in downtown Oxnard.... The woman who did the lasering was very friendly and was chatty which I loved because it distracted me from the pain of the laser. The one they use here is different than the one they use at a different place I've gone to, but so far the results have been great. I have had one underarm session and have already had people mention how bare and smooth they appear! I will say, armpits hurt significantly more than Brazilian, but it's totally worth it. read more

I went here after receiving a gift certificate for laser hair removal on my back.. I maee my appt about a month ahead of time, and received a call a day before to confirm which was nice. I had some trouble finding the place since theres no sign or anything that I could find from the street, but once I did I was impressed by how clean and professional the spa looked. The lady at the front counter was polite and handled my gift certificate hassle free. I wish I remembered the name of the girl who did my laser hair removal.. shes only there on Thursdays.. anyway, she was great at answering all my questions, making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure, and keeping me engaged in conversation to distract me from the slight pain from the procedure. This review is way overdue. I started going to Lux when they first opened a few years back. I had quite a few procedures done. Hair removal on chin, lip, underarm and bikini area. I only completed the lip and chin area. I had bought a groupon for 6 treatments for each area. After the nurse Patricia had left I was actually scared to return after having my procedures done by her replacement. My goodness it was NOT a good experience. The procedures that I did complete on my chin and lip did not work. Eventually, the hair started to grow back and I would up with more growth than I had when I started. I am also a military veteran who has extensive exposure and skin damage on my face as a result of overexposure of sun. I had IPL done on my face to remove the discoloration and again the procedures did not work and the areas are now darker than when I started. I will say it is a clean but small facility and the staff was nice except when I would call to find out about why my procedures weren't working and my question as to whether 6 sessions were suffice, the response I received was, well we will call you back because we've never had a problem before. I've never received that return call. read more

This is by far one of the best medical spas in terms of services, price, and customer service. You will not find a better deal on botox, fillers, or services, even when compared to the prices in LA. I have had the following services: laser hair removal, filler (voluma), botox. The doctor is highly skilled. He will definitely give you his opinion: he won't do anything he thinks is a bad idea, and he will recommend things he thinks might work better or achieve better results. I wasn't used to this at first, but I have learned to trust him and appreciate his advice. Also, communicating your goals will help him. He expertly applied voluma and botox. He was able to use less botox and achieve better results than others, particularly for the upper lip which can be tricky. The voluma had great results--subtle yet effective for contouring cheekbones and reducing laugh lines. The laser hair removal is one of the more effective I have tried...also one of the more painful lasers (maybe that is why it's more effective), so definitely ask about numbing cream or apply on your own ahead of time, which hugely helps! Monica is the manager and she is absolutely fantastic. We had some communication issues in the beginning (they are very popular and very busy), and she went above and beyond to make it better, reaching out, and installing a new web and phone app service to make communicating easier. She is a delight to work with, very customer focused, and her and the doctor work really well together. The rest of the staff is also very professional and friendly, and make you feel completely comfortable, which is really important for a medical spa. Highly recommend!! read more

I had facial hair removal recently at this spa. I can't believe how my face looks now no more facial hair. For guys I do recommend numbing cream to ease the treatments. They were very professional and friendly. I booked an appointment with out a problem. They sent me a txt reminder the day before to remind me of the appointment. I thought this was very cool.
