Each time I visit, I am met with unnecessary pushback regarding promotions or discounts- despite them being valid offers sent directly to me. Instead of a smooth check-in or checkout process, these interactions often turn into awkward and uncomfortable exchanges in the front lobby. I am routinely made to feel as though I'm doing something wrong or "trying to pull a fast one," when I am simply using legitimate promotions provided by the company. During my most recent visit, I attempted to use a promotion for 50% off a new service not received within the last 12 months. When I mentioned this, the receptionist immediately responded in a short, dismissive tone, stating, "that's not a new service for you." I clarified that it had, in fact, been over 12 months. She sighed and reluctantly said she would "see" if the system would allow it only for the discount to go through without any issue. The interaction didn't improve from there. After paying, I waited for an envelope to leave a tip for my waxer. Instead of offering assistance, she passively pointed to a tray and told me they were "over there," without even looking up. The entire experience felt cold, dismissive, and unnecessarily uncomfortable. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, this has been my experience during every single interaction with this employee over the years. At this point, it feels less like an isolated incident and more like a pattern of behavior. It has even made me question whether there is a personal issue, or if this is how all clients are treated. Waxing is a personal service and, for many, a luxury due to the cost. The front desk experience should reflect professionalism and customer care- especially as it sets the tone for the entire visit.
