Usually when nail techs ask if I'm satisfied I'm easy to please, but rarely am I looking at my hands every 30 seconds and this deserves every penny! I had never been so I called ahead. They told me to come right over and got me in the pedicure chair right after choosing my color. I very much appreciate no push for gel nail polish. I also appreciate no push for more expensive services. I got the basic mani pedi and it was just lovely. All the things I needed in a relaxed environment. I wish I could remember the woman's name who worked with me because she was great. I also appreciated being able to tip on my card because I was worried about not having cash. I didn't care for Lusso much. It was my 1st visit today. I got a pedicure along with nails being serviced. Their communication wasn't the greatest, but not the worse. The lady who completed my services checked me out& I paid more than I expected, it seemed once I checked out prior to the last touches of my nails, my tech switch up with not really saying much to me. When I fully finished, the tech who did my services did not say nothing to me, but another tech acknowledged me as I spoke on my way out. I will also add in that I'm fully Americanized ,so if you are not, but have business places in America, please learn how to communicate with us so we are not thrown off by how we are fully treated. I was visiting from Texas for the wedding & called to see if I could receive a partial refund or a partial credit for my sister to use since she's in the area. I used to go here every time for my nails but stopped going for personal reasons. I had a good relationship with the owner and would always request her for nail art. When I went the last time she treated me so poorly I guess because I did not continue with her exclusively. I would ask her questions and she would barely answer. I asked her about how long chrome would last and she said it would last a long time. Well it hasn't been more than 8 days and it is wearing off and looking like crap. Completely turned off by the owner of this business. Each time I have been in she stands over my tech telling her how to up charge me for ridiculous things. This time I got an acrylic fill with white tips and chrome overlay. Pretty sure the owner told the tech to make the white fill small so I would be back sooner. Also never had a salon charge me a reshaping fee. It is always built in the cost of the balance. My nail tech was fabulous but won't be going back because of the owner. My fiancé just got home from going to this nail salon for a little bit of "me time." Normally she loves going and getting her nails done and is typically decently happy with the results. She was seen by a man named Henry today. She claims he seemed to be rushing and she had to tell him to fix the top coat MULTIPLE TIMES after he smeared every finger during the hand massage after not giving enough time to let them dry. She gets short nails due to her needing to type at work and according to Henry, she has the shortest he could possibly do because of her skin. These nails are twice as long as they usually are when she gets them done. This was a terrible experience. $84 later, she comes home visibly upset and crying. She showed me her nails and they have scuff marks and scratches less than an hour after getting them done by Henry. The scratches and scuffs are equivalent to nails that have been on for a week or more. Needless to say we will never be taking our business here again and I strongly advise anyone that is considering doing so, to make sure it's NOT WITH HENRY! ***long post*** I regret ever patronizing Lusso Nail Spa on Sancus Blvd. After mulling over the decision to spend my money at this salon, I decided to take a chance. Beginning January 2024 until today, my preferred nail technician was Tina. Despite my concerns about cultural sensitivity, respect and not wanting to be treated differently based on my race, like the stereotypes and experiences paraded in many communities between Black and Asian Americans. I continued my services with Tina and was pleased. She was friendly, we had great universal and harmless conversations, and I began feeling comfortable that I finally found a new dependable and professional nail technician. During my last appointment, I was a little disappointed that not only was Tina 15 minutes late for my appointment, but she was sick. Although she wore a mask, I would have appreciated a quick call in advance to either cancel my appointment or refer me to another technician. Regardless we got through the appointment. I made an appointment for my Love an appointment for today, 6/12/24. Unfortunately, Tina and a few others were not as kind to him. It was not until his appointment and him walking through the door that he was told, Tina does not provide services for men. I was never made aware of that and instead of Tina calling his number to confirm his identity (as a male or female client) before the appointment, they waited until he walked through the door, mumbled to one another, gave him unfavorable looks and stares, and then pushed him off to another technician. Tina never said anything to him to at least bring some clarity to the situation. The other technician was nice enough to share with him that she was taking over his services because Tina does not accept male clients. However, that did not happen until after he was embarrassed by the whispers and mumbling to one another about him/the service or whatever was being said. I called the salon to learn why was he treated that way and why was it so difficult to simply, call the appointment number in advance and share with him, a male patron that the technician does not offer services for male clients rather than waiting to have people snicker and whisper about him at the salon. Surprisingly, when I called, I spoke to Tina, directly. Rather than digesting my concerns, trying to talk through a solution or at least a level of understanding, she did her best to berate me and tried scolding and yelling at me. And I said she did her best because it really was a sad exchange with someone who I thought had better professional skills and relationship with her clients. Instead, it was a reminder of the stories and experiences I heard from others about being treated at certain salons. In this day of diversity, inclusion, and equity, we all should be able to conduct and receive professional services when we are spending our money. For six months, I have been a faithful customer, I am an excellent tipper, always on time and a no fuss customer even when there were things that weren't done well, I maintained my support of not only Tina, but the business. Not only will I no longer be patronizing this salon, but I also encourage anyone viewing this review to reconsider spending your money where it is valued. Lusso Nail Salon clearly does not care about its customers, professionalism or diversity and inclusion. **LONG POST PLEASE READ** I went to this location initially 5 or 6 years ago because one of my friends chose it for their wedding. I had previously gone to other nail salons. It was very casual and my nails were done well. Fast forward to this year and my mom and I booked 4 people for my wedding to get their nails done. My nails were absolutely beautiful and the lady that did them was nice and respectful. I went in to get a polish change after the wedding and was booked with a different individual. On the site it said Kelly on the email confirm it said Hong Dang. I went in and she was pleasant enough to me but talked negatively TO ME about another client. I should have known there and then to stop going. After I got my nails done a day later the gel on top of my acrylic started to bubble badly. I didn't call in because I didn't have anywhere special to go and I was going to be getting a balance and gel color change in a little over a week so I left it. When I went in the next time I booked with Kelly/Hong Dang. I wanted to tell her about the nails and to tell her that could not happen again because I was going to Mexico the next day for a wedding. She brushed off the bubbling like it wasn't there and started my nails. She told me to not get my nails done in Mexico at all because it would be too expensive and I told her I didn't want to have to and that's why they nails had to be good. After I left the shop I ran a couple of errands and on my way home the gel on my thumb started to completely lift off the nail. I emailed and Kelly/Hong Dang called me immediately back and told me that she would do my nails for free when I got back. I was pretty upset because the thumb looked terrible and I would have to have it fixed in Mexico. But the timely response was nice. The only reason I didn't lose the whole thumb was because I filed down where the gel was lifting and put a clear coat on to stop the bleeding. In Mexico however they were not able to work on acrylics so I had to deal with crappy nails the entire time. I lost the color on the tips after a day, they were sort of soft and tacky the whole time to the point that if I rubbed them on something it would dent or move the gel. I booked an appointment and texted the number Kelly/Hong Dang told me to use and explained I was not happy and that I couldn't even get them fixed while on vacation and that I booked for when I got home for them to fix the problems. When I got back I went into my appointment and was admittedly 15 minutes late. I had gotten the time of my appointment wrong. I usually call on my way of I am going to be late but was on the phone with family about a family emergency. I was intending to apologize when I arrived but Kelly/Hong Dang immediately yelled at me to wash my hands and sit down. She was clearly pissed and didn't even want to hear me out. After I washed and sat down I started to talk and was going to tell her about what happened with the nails when she started to berate me for being late and for contacting her when I was in Mexico when she had already said she would fix the nails. According to her I was essentially harassing her at her place of work needlessly. She then started belittling me by stating that I was making a big deal out of nothing and that it was only one nail and that she told me to not get my nails done in Mexico, and leave the bad nail until I get home. I have NEVER been scolded like a child when THE BUSINESS messed something up. This individual has now messed up my nails twice and she cared not! She was so horrible to me in the way she spoke and I gave her several attempts to clean it up and she never did. Instead she whipped out her phone to show me these "bothersome" text messages like she was showing me receipts! She went from berating me to telling me to sit down and she would fix it! Absolutely not! I should have looked at the reviews because MANY state how awful this woman is and how she treats people. I can 100% agree. It's a shame that the other lovely folks in there have to work with someone this terrible. I popped on over to Penzone at Polaris and Donna helped me and my nails look absolutely flawless! My new go-to salon when I'm in Columbus and the best pedicure I've had! My mom and I came in Sunday afternoon for pedicures and left with gorgeous nails and pampered feet. They really took their time at making us feel comfortable and the pedicure is the best we've had. The salon is built completely around customer service and our experience was fantastic. Tina and Diana are 2 of the best technicians I've encountered, they even suggested some extra sparkle as a top coat to make my nails pop. I'm apparently one of very few, but I had a terrible experience at Stylist Nails and Spa today and from that, will not ever be going back. Being off for the holiday from school, I wanted to treat myself. After reading fantastic reviews here, and realizing the convenience of being across the road from the grocery store at Polaris, I thought that this salon would be perfect. The color selection they have is great (only OPI colors), and the salon is clean but not very welcoming. My sister and I were greeted when we walked in the door and were asked what we were there for (as we were walk ins), and that was all the communication I received. I chose my polish color (there for just a simple mani) and sat down and the woman (not sure of her name - she never introduced herself or asked for my name - an older woman wearing glasses) started filing my nails right away. Everything was fine until she started trimming my cuticles. On one finger she clipped so much that she broke the skin and made me bleed. I jolted and said told her that that particular part hurt, but she just continued. She apologized a couple times and blotted the blood away and kept going with the mani. The bleeding didn't stop until after I was moved to another station to dry my nails. Looking at the owner, I showed him my bloody finger and all he did to remedy the situation was to remove the polish, scrub my cut with polish remover (ouch!), and repaint it. I know that accidents happen, but understand that I was not offered ANY compensation or discount for THEIR mistake that caused me injury. I was still told that my mani would be $21.50 and that I should have a nice day. This company and its owner do not take care of their patrons and do not hold themselves accountable for their actions. Careless hospitality and terrible customer service. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because my nails look fine. read more

Very long, but please read before going in: I only went to this salon as my usual salon was closed and this salon has high ratings and the salon was empty when i went. Unfortunately, i was severely disappointed and will never return. I came in for full set acrylics and a gel manicure. There was no wait I was told the service would be $50, but ultimately was charged $65 (and apparently that was after they gave me a $5 discount for no reason). I've gotten acrylics on several occasions from several salons and i have never once had acrylics turn out as thick as i did from here, but it seemed the man was taking his time and they looked nice enough, so i didn't say anything. Before picking polishes i asked if i could pick 3 colors and if it would be extra and was assured it was fine. I picked out 3 polishes and one woman complimented a shimmery shade i picked. They had painted 2/3 colors when things went down hill. As he went to paint my third color, i noticed it was a completely different color than what i had picked. I hate to cause a hassle but i wanted the colors to look nice together, so i immediately spoke up. I was ignored and he finished the gel. I politely pointed out it was the wrong polish again. The man assumed he was given the wrong shade and the women who complimented me earlier went to look for the correct polish. Meanwhile a young lady from the front explained that they had given me the correct shade, but the swatch was old so it changed colors. This was very confusing to me as i had picked a glitter polish with peach, silver, and blue sparkles and was given a green shimmer polish. Eventually the workers offered to repaint the fingers. I picked a holo glitter that i would put over the blue polish. The young lady sat down to paint my nails and held a gold glitter up to the new swatch i decided on. She said it was close then proceeded to do my nails. The numbers didn't even match and i was given the wrong polish again. At this point, i had been in the salon for 3 hours. I have never been in a salon for so long and didn't want to waste even more time pointing out this was the wrong shade again. So i overpaid and left. Within 2 days all the gel polish had popped off. The acrylics lasted a week before breaking. While most workers were kind, i wish i hadn't wasted $65 plus tip. TL;DR i was given the wrong color 2 times, spent 3 hours in the salon, paid $15+ what i was originally told, gel popped off in 2 days, and acrylics broke a week later. read more

I got my nails done (French dipped) on Sunday OCT 31 2021with Kelly ( I believe was her name). They started to crack 2 days later. Because of work and me living about 40 min away I was not able to go back until the flowing Sunday (1 week later), NOV 7 2021. By then, one nail cracked off at the tip. She looked at them and said her dip must have been bad but would not redo them without me paying again. Only offered to remove and put a coat of clear on them. This service cost me $67. I will never go back. Dip last 3-4 weeks when applied correctly. Please do not waste your money. Not even worth rating. There are many other salons with much better customer service. read more

She did a great job and I will return to her the only reason for giving 4 stars is because I paid with a card and they offer no spot for a tip. It should be disclosed (and maybe it is once you get there but I booked online and it was not disclosed) Diana said not to worry about the tip but it was not her fault and no way would I do that to someone in the service industry so I left and got cash. To the owners...I understand why you want cash tips but that's not the reality of the service industry in America in 2018 with tipped employees its unfair to not give them the opportunity to be tipped by someone paying by card unless they have cash. Lengthy, but please read!!! I came here once and the woman who did my nails did a terrific job. This last time I had Keith. It took an hour and a half to do a solar nail w/ gel color. However, I left happy with my service and figured NBD. The next day (Tuesday) one of my nails started peeling. I called to see if I could come in the next day and they told me "No, bc Keith is off that day." I simply said, "And no one else knows how to repolish a gel nail in the whole salon?" They allowed me to come in the next day and a different gentleman fixed my nail. I said, "Hopefully it's not going to happen to any other nails?" They assured me it would not. Wouldn't you know, By Friday my entire thumb nail, like the nail that I had to get fixed, peeled off entirely. On the other hand a huge chip in my pointer finger came off. Needless to say, I am very irritated at this point. It is over a 20 minute drive for me to come here, so this was extremely inconvenient. I called and told them I would come in tomorrow and that I didn't want this polish and I just wanted something else since it wouldn't stay on. They said it was fine. Once there, a younger woman told me they would have to charge me if I chose another color. However, it would be no charge if they redid all nails with the same color. (Which is the most ridiculous rule I have ever heard.) I said, "I don't know if it was Keith or the polish, but something isn't working." The woman stated that she had the same polish on before and it didn't do that in her and assured me it wasn't the service provided by Keith. Seeing as I had to drive back to this establishment 3x in 5 days to get my nails fixed, I did not want to spend MORE money to get a different color. I said, "Is this going to chip/peel off off again?" They all assured me it wouldn't. Guess what? 8 hours later my thumb nail is half chipped. I DO NOT pick at my nails and am very gentle on them. I am so disappointed in their service and customer service. Also, I had my 4 yr old daughter with me and the younger woman who told me the "color of polish policy" called a coworker an "ass" and said she "couldn't believe he didn't know what a BJ was and had to explain it to him several times last night." Nice language to use in front of my toddler! She also told the woman she was servicing that she was going to have to stop and polish my nails after the other worker took off my polish. I don't blame the woman at all when she said, "I'm in a hurry and this is my service time." Good for her for standing up for herself. (Mind you, 4 other workers were sitting in the pedi chairs on their cell phones!) What a horrible experience and customer service. Also, you cannot leave a tip on your debit/credit cards. I had to write 2 separate checks to accommodate tips (the first day I went for a mani/pedi by two different workers.) Naturally, they cashed them knowing about the horrible and inconvenient service I received. How unacceptable and rude their customer service is. I hope this is an eye opener for their business. Won't be going back to this nail salon. There is a coupon stating receive 15% off on Yelp if you visit Mon-Wednesday. I was there a few months ago and they said the coupon was no longer valid/they needed to take it down, but they honored it anyway that time. Today bing Wednesday I see the coupon is still there but didn't bother mentioning it since they acted sketchy about honoring it the last time. My regular nail technician is in Hilliard which is a long drive from Lewis Center (Cams Nail Boutique). When my schedule is super busy I sometimes can't make it out there. It had been a month since my last balance and my acrylic nails were very grown out. There was some lifting due to the stress I put on my nails during work and daily activity. Diana insisted this lifting was from the previous nail tech and refused to fix the lifting which is extremely unprofessional. I myself am a licensed nail tech and don't have the drill needed to do acrylics. I know for a fact there was no lifting at the time the last tech did them--so for Diana to blame that on her is ridiculous. For me, getting nails done should be a pleasant relaxing experience. Not at all here. She constantly spoke in a foreign language to co-workers. She did speak in English to me to ask what plans I had coming up, then to complain about her husband and her infant child who you could hear crying in the salon. Sorry-but when I pay to have a salon experience I don't want to hear about a slacker husband!! I did pay in cash and received a small discount - which makes me wonder if they are reporting all of their earnings for tax purposes. This will become my new go-to place for nails. I was a walk-in for a pedicure, the first I've had in months, and had no wait. Staff was extremely attentive, asked me multiple times if I would like something to drink and offered the different pedicure options. As I don't like floral scents I went with Orange for the sugar scrub and liked it very much; not too strong at all. The hot water and towels were a bit too hot and they didn't ask if they were, so make sure you mention that if you're heat-sensitive. This my go to place whenever I'm back in Columbus!! The salon is super clean, the staff are extremely friendly and it says a lot to me when "regulars" are there. I've been going to Diana off and on for about 2 years (I travel a lot for work and I'm often not in Columbus). Tonight I had such a great experience having my nails done here. Last minute, pull of 71 and hope for the best kind of decision. I hadn't realized they were about to close as I was walking in, and Anne and Helen took me in for a mani/pedi without a hesitation. Anne was super sweet, and got my feet together (I was really overdue) - Helen gave me a thorough, solid gel mani, even though they were supposed to have been closed for an hour.
