    Gel pedicure
    Shauna D.

I came in for a pedicure and got the Deluxe pedicure. The massage and service were excellent. I asked for a gel pedicure and it was perfect. The music was great as well as the experience. It was not too crowded for a Friday. I will definitely be back for a pedicure and manicure soon.

Nail not filed straight, air bubbles in the polish, polish caked in the cuticle

All bad. Would give a zero rating if I could. Instead of 5 stars, here are 5 reasons for my rating. 1) They will do any and everything not to work on natural nails. When I asked for a manicure on my natural nails, they tried to pressure me into a gel manicure. Next to me, I saw them put acrylic tips on a 10 year old girl and the mother had to spring up from her pedicure to stop them. They acted surprised that the girl wouldn't get acrylic. 2) They overcharge and under deliver. They charged me $20 for a natural manicure, but didn't trim my cuticles (and I needed it), didn't put my hands in the warm mitts, didn't dry my nails. The 10 year old girl I mentioned earlier... they told the mother it would be $55 for a manicure with a simple design on one nail. The mother ended up leaving the shop and they did nothing to try to keep the business. 3) They're sloppy. Just look at the picture I added. They filed my nails crooked, there are air bubbles in the polish, the polish is pooled in the cuticle, and they didn't dry my nails. 4) Their polish selection sucks. 5) There are too many other salons to have to put up with this lack of service.

$85 and two hours later. The most pathetic pink and white set I have ever seen!!!!!

Terrible pink and white set. $85 and they are the worst I have ever seen! It's almost comical. They are so uneven. The white has zero curve to it. They are crooked like witch nails. And the manager told me I needed to be more specific!! Haha do not waste your money or time here. Two hours for these .

Clean and modern nail salon. Came on Labor Day, they took me in quickly I initially came in for a fill in pedi. I get seated and the nail tech shows me the pedicure option but insist on the more expensive one. I say no thank you because I really don't need any of it and say I would like the basic. She says okay, $45 and attempts to hide the price from me. I thought it was weird so I insisted I see what I'm paying for. She was trying to charge me for the deluxe even after I said no. Then proceeded to call my feet dry. Don't let anyone bully you into paying more and always price check before starting your service After that I opted to finish my pedi and get my manicure done else where.

I got a fill-in at this new shop in my neighborhood, very satisfied. I've went online to make an appointment. I got a text that said to wait for a text confirmation. It never came. I called the shop and they made the appointment over the phone. I'm happy with the fill-in, just recommend that you make a phone call for an appointment instead of using the online option. I have emailed the shop but it's been days and I still have no response.

I just moved to the area and thought I'd try a salon closer to me than the one I usually go to which is about 45 minutes away now. The atmosphere was pretty nice but I wasn't very happy with the service provided. I know every technician is different so it might be better with a different technician but mine wasn't very attentive. She was on a phone call while doing my nails and almost seemed in a rush. I left with multiple cuts and dried powder all over my fingers which I had to try to wash/ peel off when I got home. The color also isn't evenly applied, there are some spots where you can tell it is thinner than others. Overall I probably wouldn't return and it's definitely not something I'd spend $80 on.

Condition of my nails after one week and wouldn't touch them up

In the beginning the customer service was great. They were a little pushy with trying to upgrade with services but it wasn't anything concerning. I ended up getting black french and they looked great. They ended up not holding up though. This is the condition of my nails after only one week. When I asked if they would touch them up a bit they said they would only do one nail unless I wanted a whole new set. I was very disappointed since this was less than a week. The last picture is of the nail they touched up to show the difference between the touch up nail and the nails they didn't touch up

    Look at the cuticles

Normally love this place, but this last visit was horrible. These nails look like I could have done it myself, especially at the cuticle. I don't know the girls name who did my nails this time, but she did whatever she wanted. She didn't ask what shape I wanted and just started cutting and filing them down, which I then had to tell her to stop because that wasn't the shape I wanted. Then as she was done painting them (which already looked awful but I thought she was going to fix the edges later on) she put chrome on one nail and asked if I thought it looked pretty with the color I chose, I said yes it does and then she just did the rest of the nails with chrome without telling me the price or asking permission. This up-charged me $20. $60 for nails that I could have done and made look better.

Was supposed to be a flame. Idk what this is.

Brittany gained a returning customer today! This was the least painful Brazilian wax I've EVER had…read moreand I've been consistently waxing since April of 2024. I'm not sure whether it's her technique or her wax or maybe both but the pain level was incomparable in the best way compared to other estheticians I've been with. She also has the best music playing and the chair even massages so the vibes in the room are on point and it never feels awkwardly silent. She even gives her first clients a little care package! Book with Brittany y'all, she won't disappoint!

This was only my first second time getting any kind of wax service, so you can take my perspective pretty much as a newbie's. My technician was Imani, and she put me so much at ease. We chatted during my entire appointment, and she was both professional and detailed while still being warm and friendly. I highly recommend her. The waiting room has massage chairs for patrons to sit on, and the technicians table during my appointment was also an electric massage table, so My body was getting that extra feedback the entire time. Both the fellow who checked me in and the woman who checked me out were professional and friendly. The wait to get to my appointment was maybe a minute. The whole thing was perfectly quick. IMPORTANT: First time clients need to pay a deposit before their appointment to hold their spot or else their appointment will be canceled. The office calls people the day before to get a card payment or cash app transfer to make the deposit, but I missed that call. I didn't remember seeing this policy on the website, so I was surprised when I got an email about my appointment being canceled, but I gave the office a call, someone was able to pick up right away, and we got it taken care of and my appointment time was still able to happen. The shop is on a small corner lot, so parking maybe tricky, but I didn't have a problem. I will say, when I had previously passed the shop, I thought that its name was Brazilian wax, because those are the largest words on their signage, so that might be a little confusing when you arrive for the first time. The shop also has some different deals available, and the pricing seemed good to me. I would highly recommend In the City Wax for waxing! I'm curious now about what their facials and other treatments are like, too.

Nail Stop - 3rd day 2nd SNS crack

Jay and Mary were great…read more Recently, there's been changes, and the shop is now called Rio Nail Center with new employees, and the quality has gone down. Still nice but language barrier made it difficult my latest visit. I came in because my last SNS set broke off on one nail so this time I asked for an extra coat because it seems the layering is easily breakable. Didn't help. After 2 days I have a cracked nail and they don't do refunds or cover the cost to fix the ONE nail I'm requesting to be fixed. Didn't plan on returning after this last nail experience anyways because it took 2 hours for SNS removal and new set on my natural nail. There was a moment where language barrier made it difficult to communicate that my nails were not straight and needed more filing. I don't know if it's because acrylic was easier for them or the new employees have different skill sets, but I'm upset that I now have to find somewhere else and pay for a full SNS removal and set so soon after getting my nails done. Katherine is sweet but is who did this last set. I also recommended the place for my friend to get a mani/pedi. Pedi was good but mani chipped after two days because Laura only did 1 layer of gel. All nice enough people, but it's a waste of money if they won't fix problems. Be cautious going here. Looks great with the new changes but the actual nail quality is the worst I've ever had. Telling all my friends to avoid especially since my out of town friend didn't have a good experience either with the nail quality. Update: For me to have gotten my nails done 4:30-6:30 PM Thursday July 11th (SNS removal and SNS) then noticing on morning of Saturday July 13th a cracked and chipped nail then Sunday July 14th a 2nd cracked nail noticeably breaking due to gently washing dishes, these nails are not quality! I've been rougher on my hands when I was a teacher and SNS never chipped like this. And the website is inaccurate because they should've been open 12-5 PM today so I wasted more money trying to go up there and discuss this issue in person in case my phone call was unclear. DO NOT GO HERE FOR NAILS. Pedicures might be fine but nails are POORLY DONE. I want my money back but since that's not possible, I'll just keep telling everyone about avoiding this place.
