After a hectic emotionally draining morning, my daughter wanted to "get away". Well, I scooped her up and ended up driving 20 miles for some food and retail therapy. Lush was one of our unexpected stops. The staff was wonderful and engaging, and we ended up leaving with a few goodies to "soothe the soul". We enjoyed the interaction so much we plan to return next Saturday. I'm about to put a few of these products to work in a few minutes! We definitely plan to return. read more

I had the best lush experience ever in this store. They had the best employee I have ever met, her name is Lisa. Lisa took time to give my friends and I advice on products that would work best for us. First, we asked her if she could show us how to use a bubble bar and she was more than happy to explain what it is and how to use it. Then, we asked about foot care because I am an athlete and my friend is on his feet all day. She showed us a calming lotion to help relax muscles and told us the ingredients and what they do. Lisa was very knowledgeable about all of the products that the store had. Also, I asked about this leave in conditioner and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Lastly, Lisa was willing to give us samples so we could try things out at home and if we liked them we could come back. Lisa told us all about these party packages that lush has that customers can bring their friends and make bath bombs or soaps. There are also fun activities you can do. Lisa also made sure that we did not feel pressured to buy anything. My friends and I could tell that she loved her job and enjoyed helping people around the store. Few days ago my kid bought a bunch of products then went to Aerie to do some shopping there but forgot the bag with the lush products.... someone stole the bag so the next day we went back to lush to buy the products... What's going on? Lush is known for the impressive customer interaction but if I didn't actually need to purchase products tonight I would have walked out the door. I requested multiple items by name: Sultana of Soap & Coalface (how can you go wrong with these two) plus I wanted the cute Scrubee. That's what I left with...no suggestions for additional items. Definitely no samples offered. I spent approximately $35 which is the least amount of money I've ever spent at Lush. I brought my best friend along and completely raved about the experience the entire ride but she was completely ignored. I'll head down to Manhattan or purchase online before heading back to this location. read more

I can see how the aggressive product promotion can irk those who are really only browsing, but since I had something in mind to purchase when I visited Lush, I was very impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the employees. I also really liked the whole 'hand washing' demo that they do, because it allows you not only to sample scrubs and soaps, but also peripheral products like toners and lotions. I'd really been looking for a scrub to replace the one I currently use at home, and I was also in the market for the right toner (if I found it). Fortunately, I was able to sample two types of each product at Lush, with the help of one of the employees. After trying the products at home, I am sad to say that I am not as big a fan of the ocean salt scrub as I was in the store. It may be because I'm not using it properly (probably the real issue), but I am disappointed with the exfoliation that I am getting (not as exfoliating as I thought it would be!). However, I love love love the rose water/lavender toner that I picked up!! I use it EVERY day, and I've pretty much phased out my previous Neutrogena toner. I love that I can also use it for aromatherapy, and I spritz my pillow lightly with it before bed every night. :) Honestly, the customer service at Lush is outstanding, and I am definitely going to be heading back in the future to round out my beauty regimen. The products are much pricier than the typical drug store brands, but I definitely think that they are worth it! read more

As my wife and I were shopping at the Westchester Mall we walked by a store called lush the smell alone drove me and my wife inside.. we were approached by a lovely young lady name Mariel ... she was amazing her hospitality and customer service was on point. The staff is amazing and has such an abundance of knowledge for the products it's really helpful. You're greeted immediately and asked how to ease the experience and what it is you might be looking for. Always in store participations, such as testing out any and as many products as you need to come to an understanding and choosing of a product fit for you. Their products are so natural and good I honestly love it. Their face masks is something I've recently become obsessed with and just a must have for me right now, lol. I've used the "don't look at me" blue face mask. Me and my boyfriend loved it. Which he urged me to go back the next day to get us more lol. read more

I had a positive experience here. I went looking for a shower scrub. One of the sales associates asked me if I was looking for anything, and I usually say no to avoid the rabbit hole you can easily go down. For some reason I told her and she showed me her favorite scrubs. She let me try them out in a basin of fresh water and was very knowledgeable about the products. read more

Incompetence! one word that comes to mind when dealing with this store! Called & left messages months in advance to then find out that the date I told To hold was given away! I am the one who was contacting them and reaching out to them, I do things in a timely manner and fashion! No one contacted me or reached out to me So when I called to confirm the time and date, I find that it was given away to someone who just called 2 weeks ago, when I've been planning this from the beginning of the year! First, I am something of a Lush fanatic. I regularly use their products but I usually order online, mostly because I've never had a location nearby. But I'd heard tell that the salespeople in Lush stores are very pushy, and my visit to the new location in The Westchester kind of confirmed this. Everyone was friendly, and when I made it clear that I really did just want to poke around myself, I was left to browse. But I had to make it really, really clear. I think they're trained to be pushy, so just be nice but tell them no, you don't need any help. My all-time Lush faves: Buffy body bar, Ro's Argan body conditioner, rose jam bubbleroon, King of Skin, Dream Cream, Superbalm. In summary: 5 stars for products, but minus 2 for aggressive sales techniques. read more

I'm a big fan of Lush products, and the staff in the Westchester are lovely, but I do warn you - if you're just in to browse and don't know what you want, they will be playing 20 questions with you the minute you walk in the door. It's aggressive and overwhelming, especially during holiday season! That being said, they are all very knowledgeable and clearly know their products, so if you're looking for a cosmetic education for the brand, look no further! As far as products go, they are (mostly) all natural, with a ton of variety and everything smells amazing. The only product in ever switch out is the Breath Of Fresh Air toner...otherwise I do switch it up between Lush and Origins. If you're in for a little hippie cosmetic action with fun displays and an interest in trying lots of different products, you'll enjoy the experience. read more

As a fan and customer of Lush for over 10 years it is safe to say I have seen and shopped in many of the Lush locations. Every experience with Lush has always been amazing but today's experience in general is the reason why the company is growing and expanding because of employees like Barry. This location is rather new to the area and for years I traveled to NYC or over the past few years Paramus to get my Lush fix. I have been waiting to go to this location but had so much goodies left I waited till I was empty. This location is so close to me. When I popped in I was immediately greeted by Barry and taken on a Lush pampering session, of products I have not used or that just came out, I practically purchased everything he demonstrated on me!! I had heard some buzz about Lush products and I was excited one was opening near my home, so I could finally pick up one of their products in person. The shop is very small. There is a wash station in the center with a table and chairs for trying soaps and lotions. As I entered the shop I was descended on by sales girls. I told the sales girl politely that I just wanted to look around and pick something on my own. "Oh." she answered. Then her and another sales girl stood and watched my every move I made. I felt incredibly awkward after about 1 minute. They then approached me again and, without asking me if I needed help, started reciting product information at me. I cut her off and said that I just wanted to buy a soap. The second sales girl jumped in and offered to take me to their table to sample the soap. At the station, you are not allowed to sample products on your own - the only way to sample soaps is to put your hand in a bowl of water and have a sales girl literally wash your hand for you. When I reached out to wash my own hand they barked at me to let them do it and not to touch. I laughed at them! When I didn't want to sit down in their chair, a sales girl yelled "SIT!" at me like a dog command. At that point I left, after only about 2 minutes in the shop. It isn't the sales girls' faults, they had obviously been trained with a very aggressive sales technique. I don't recommend this store at all unless you enjoy getting our hands washed by strangers and having ingredients list recited in your face. read more

I love their products, and everyone in the store when I went was very friendly. However, the salespeople are extremely pushy. That was OK for me because I didn't really know what I needed and I wanted help choosing products, but I did have to be very firm and tell them when I was done. Not enough good things i can say about the staff and the products. The staff are honestly the most wonderful individuals and the most wonderful people in general that you'll find working at any store at the Westchester. The genuinely love their store and their products and this always shines through with customers. The level of customer service is truly unmatched at this mall and at all of the other malls in the area. The term "high pressure" doesn't fit here, as the employees obviously need to sell products, but are mostly driven by their love of the company and its products and the company's message and goals. The products themselves are wonderful and addictive and reasonably priced. (Try going to Neiman Marcus or any of the other cosmetics stores in the westchester and finding something that is not only NATURAL but also less expensive). After being a repeat customer there on a weekly basis I've gotten to know and befriend the entire team and they are all truly special people in their work ethic, devotion, and character. I love coming to this store so much that every time I get paid I come to visit! The staff is so welcoming and so sweet. When I first came I was hesitant because I heard lush employees can be somewhat overwhelming. That is not the case at all in this location. Their customer service is beyond amazing. It feels like I'm talking to an old friend. I've never felt pressured by any employees to buy anything either which is very important to me. They also genuinely give recommendations that they feel you will love. I went from owning nothing at lush to replacing almost my whole beauty routine with their products. The employees who have helped me are Joey and Angel. They really took the time with me to answer any questions, give me demos, and samples of things I was curious about. I feel so pampered and taken care of in here I come more to have a nice time with the staff than I do to buy things. I have been getting into Lush products over the past month and I really like them. So far, everything that I have purchased has been from the mall in Trumbull. While shopping at this mall, I of course, wanted to check out the store. My friend has been raving about the hair products so I was scoping the products out. One of the sales people came up to me and started asking me about my hair texture, what ingredients would help me with frizz, etc. She grabbed 3 different products and sat me in a chair and said she wanted to a demo on me. She asked for my arm to try out hair products and said "i'm doing this so you can feel it on your arm hair." I don't have arm hair / that is the most ridiculous statement. I let her do the demonstration of HAIR products on my ARM. I didn't expect her to put my hair in a bowl of warm water and give me the salon treatment, however she REFUSED to give me a sample. They are very generous at the Trumbull location which has lead me to purchase products after enjoying the samples. I said "Can I try a sample of __" I don't even remember the name and she said "Um, well I just did a demonstration on you and it wouldn't make sense for me to give you a sample because they are too small for your head to see what the product can do but you can try a small pot for $12 or I can cut up a piece of our solid conditioner and you can buy it." NO THANKS. So pushy and NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AT ALL. read more
