Much better experience returning to this store last weekend. The store was well staffed and we were greeted as soon as we walked in but were not given an extensive sales pitch and were able to browse. I always get their rose jam shower gel, which although pricey, smells and feels amazing. I also picked up a lip scrub and a soap. Super friendly staff person at the checkout even gave me a free sample of their store location's shower cream too. Much better experience shopping here more recently! read more

Went to the Natick location and the workers (Alexis and Jane) couldn't have been better! They were very charismatic, knowledgeable about the products, and even demoed a bath bomb for me and my friends! They weren't pushy at all about buying anything and I had a wonderful experience. Came here last week , my experience was good at the store but when i open the products I purchased i found out that it was all used. Im a huge fan of lush and I always buy my Lush products in Newtown. But last Saturday I was at Natick so I just bought it from Natick Mall, only to find out it will be the worst experience I will ever have. I am slowly becoming a Lush ADDICT! I started slowly buying just one bath bomb then graduated up to lotions and now when I go in I leave with so much stuff and not enough time to use it all! If it wasn't for lush how could you enjoy a bath? A bath without a bath bomb to me is like taking a shower without water!! Their products are really good quality and always very fresh. Sounds so strange describing soap products as fresh.... but once you have tried them you will understand. I absolutely LOVE that their products have fresh by dates on them. The most recent one I tried was the lettuce face mask - to die for! Made my skin feel amazing:) All time fav product - the Buffy Bar! You get smooth and creamy all at the same time:) The prices may be a little high but I always say "You get what you pay for!" Try to come to the store during a time when you don't think it will be crowded. It is a teeny tiny little store and gets hard to look around at all the great things. I think Lush is pretty good. I like that they are all natural but it is hard to shop here because of the overpowering smells. Some people like it, others are sickened by it. I can maybe spend 5 mins here and need to get out. It is just the nature of the beast. I think this store is kind of small compared to some of the other locations so maybe the ventilation is a problem - don't know. That being said, my teen and her friends love this place and if I need to find them, they are usually here. The staff is so nice to them and attentive and always giving them samples. I cannot even begin to express how much the workers at this store helped me. Six weeks to the day after my husband's sudden and shocking death, I found myself wandering through the mall, unable to go home to that dark empty house and barely able to function. I stopped at Lush thinking a bubble bath might help me get through the evening, and one of the women offered a hand treatment. The minute she touched my hands, I burst into tears, but tried to be quiet so she maybe wouldn't notice. She noticed immediately and said, "Oh no, what's wrong?" and wrapped her arms around me. The other woman working there ran over and did the same thing. They let me cry, they made me feel welcome, they asked over and over again not "if" they could do anything for me but WHAT they could do for me. I had always had good experiences at Lush and love the products, but now I'm a customer for life. I wrote the company about the generosity and concern of these two workers, and got a lovely message back. This company cares about its customers. read more

I have no complaints about this Lush aside from the size, the best Lush I have been to is in Providence and this one is absolutely dimunitive in comparison. No samples this time, pout...but I did get a ton of stuff for $25...a face mask, and then a $20 go green kit with soap, massage bar, shampoo, conditioner, and sugar scrub. I wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to Emmett! They provided such a ridiculously impressive experience I couldn't help but share. I will lead with I came in the store with two kids, a ten year old girl and an eight year old boy (anyone who has ever shopped with children knows how challenging it can be) that said as my niece was strolling around making her selections, my nephew was curious about what the bath bombs were. Emmett didn't skip a beat ... immediately they suggested to try it. They filled the sink in preparation for the bath bomb. My niece immediately rushed over and They explained that the water wasn't ready but that she could keep shopping around and would call her when it was ready. Shortly after the time had some where Emmett called for her to let her know it was ready. She ran over and they provided clear detailed instructions for my nephew to spin the bath bomb like a top.The excitement in the kids faces was so awesome. It was such a magical experience for them. The magic didn't stop there though .... as I was finalizing my purchase, we has some technical difficulties at the register ... but the time I finished I went to find the kids and there they were playing with bubbles in the sink while Emmett was blowing them into the air. The kids in turn of course wanted to try and they did (don't worry I made sure they cleaned up the floor before they left so ensure it was safe for the rest of the guests - another older woman insisted they could take care of it and I objected as they made they mess - respectfully she obliged my request) That said, biggest of thanks to Emmett for this magical experience! And to the entire Natick Lush Team who was on shift! Unfortunately I didn't get their names... but I know one was a manager who was phenomenal as well who despite engaging customers handled the techno difficulty with grace and smiles along side the young women who was so apologetic for the delay as the line got bigger. We jokingly said that she sabotaged the machine so it would force us to shop Lol. Such a great team! Phenomenal experience! The epitome of what the customer experience is all about regardless of age! Super friendly people! They really care about talking with people and welcoming people into the store. We were helped by one girl who was super nice (and most of their employees all wear fun sparkles on their face), seems like a fun place to work. She let us try some mouthwash tabs and gave us a few toothbrush tabs to take home to try. Honestly one of the best shopping experiences I have had at a store at the Natick Mall. I ended up buying some mouthwash tabs for work, and can't wait to use them. I would go back here just to talk to these ladies, super friendly and personable! read more

I love LUSH. It's true, there are some criticisms of the company (they use parabens in some products which some think goes against their overall message - but hey they are 100% transparent about their ingredients and they say only %20 or so contain them), but I don't care. I still love them. This is the only LUSH store I've ever been too - previously only getting their products either through friends/family as gifts or online. However, many of the products I love of theirs (especially the face masks) have a fairly short shelf life (4 months max) so I dont order them online anymore, because you never know how close to that date itll be. My ONLY complaint about this particular store is it is SO tiny. At one point I actually had to put my arms up to wade my way through to the back where they keep their face products (a la rock concert style). So worth it though. My favorite product of theirs is the Mask of Magnaminty - so awesome! I also love their bath bombs, but need to stop buying them as I already have a stock pile at home. I also got 2 shampoo bars (free tin if you buy two!), and some ultra balm that I have yet to use but am uber excited to try. They also have fun little events in the store every so often. I went in and made my purchase and the woman behind the counter winked at me and said I should hang around for a few minutes. I wasn't in a rush so i figured - why not? They brought out this HUGE pinata shaped like one of their Easter bath bombs. They let one of the cutest little girls I've ever seen break it, and inside were TONS of free samples AND full sized bath bombs! I think they handled it delightfully though - some of the people dove on the floor to get stuff but there was no WAY I was about to do that with all my shopping bags etc. So they brought out a basket of stuff for those of us who decided not to enter the frenzy, so that everyone got something. So I ended up walking away with my purchases, as well as a sample size of temple balm, two bath bombs, and two large sized soap bars. Nice! Oh and if they ask you if you want their catalog - say yes! Not only does it showcase their products - but it has tons of info and articles about their products, company, ingredients, why they are against animal testing etc. Makes for an interesting read! read more

Ive always been intrigued by the LUSH products, but haven't ever purchased anything or even set foot in the store until this week. So, this review is truly about the customer service i received at this location! I was researching online for an oily hair shampoo, and decided to go to LUSH to get the Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bar. I went there with my 5 year old daughter, and was expecting to be quick, in and out, since i knew what i (thought i) wanted.. There were two sales associates there, both very friendly who greeted me upon arrival and asked how they could help. I told them what i wanted, and asked if they agreed. They did agree, and offered a few more suggestions. As one associate, Anna, took me to the demo window and showed me a few products, the other associate, Taylor, got out a few buckets of water and bath bombs for my daughter to play with. Anna and I chatted about the products for about 15 minutes, and Taylor showed my daughter some other fun items in the store. That is great customer service! Keeping mommy concentrating on the task at hand!! :) I loved the products she was showing me, and was having a hard time deciding! She said she could make up a few samples for me so i could take them home to test them out. I decided to purchase the item i initially went in for, and also took home some samples of the other products i wanted to try, but wasn't ready to buy, YET! after using the shampoo bar, I like it a lot, as it seems to do what i was hoping for! i can't wait to try the other products later this week! i can't stay off the LUSH website now, excited about what product i am going to buy next! the products are a bit expensive, but as with most things in life, you get what you pay for! read more

The worker, with yellow strands in the front, was the kindest worker I'd ever encountered. They had BLM pins and it felt very welcoming. They were patient, kind, and very helpful with choosing. This is the most convient Lush for me to shop at but it is my least favorite Lush in the area. I was in the store on Thursday: the sales associate was blatantly wrong on several key facts (the avo shamrock is NOT a Boston only item - it's ON-LINE!, pop in the bath is not switching to green, green rotates in and out!). I've had to ask for my GWP (always a pet peeve), and the associates have been down right rude to the point me me just putting down my items and walking out. Now, I have a closet full of Lush and can tell you which items are better buys via the uk web site and which are better in the us stores. This store never has any fun/funky parties and aside from pushy associates doesn't do much to make it a fun place to shop. I'd rather go to providence, burlington or newbury. At least there I can get a sample of a new prodcut I'm thinking about (I spent $200 at christmas and was refused a sample of porridge that I was debating about - so un-lush) and have a conversation about a product. I don't like knowing MORE about the lush products than the SA's. The deal breaker was when the SA put my hand in the water so I could "feel" the bubble bar. Um, no thank you. Excellent products, pretty much everything I use is lush. Generally the people here really scare me, they're kind of pushy to the point of annoyingness but there are a few people who work here that are awesome. Sometimes they do try to pressure you into buying more crap (they do this at the Newbury one too...) which really pisses me off but the other day i went in and was bombarded with samples. It was pretty sweet. My advice is to go on a weekend when they are super busy, then they will have less time to pester you. They do run out of stock a lot lately (as in the past two weeks), I think the store is becoming more popular and they havent gotten their sales volume for orders figured out but they get new shipments all the time so its no problem. 4 stars for the amazing products, free samples and the location. read more

With that said, I love LUSH itself, I own (and love) probably half of the facial, bath, and lotion products they sell, I just wouldn't drive any distance to go to this particular one. Go to the one on Newbury or something. The girl who worked there was really, really nice though. Lots of talk about products, cause I'm a blabbermouth, not because she was too pushy. I don't know why people complain about that, BTW, if you're a newbie, LUSH is super confusing. I had to ASK for help when I first went to LUSH. Ive been a fan of LUSH since they first came to the US. I dont shop there near as much as I used to because the prices have gotten sky high, but I like to treat myself every now again. Ive never really had an issue with anything there, the hair and skin products are amazing. The soaps are incredible. Its all very good quality product. THe staff here is super friendly and very knowledgeable. They are great at suggestions product based on what you need but are not pushy. read more

I was in the Natick Mall for the first time, and my inner lushie sensor came into play, as I realized my favorite store of all time was also in Natick. This store is *very* small, even smaller than Providence Place Mall's, but it is chock full of amazingness. My local (PPM) store was out of two holiday items that I kept searching for, and Natick Lush delivered! I found my awesome lip scrub and bath bomb, while the staff didn't ask me if I needed help, and I was in and out in a moment. The store IS small and crowded, but besides that, it's amazing. I love Lush products...but this store is rather hit or miss when it comes to sales people. Sometimes they can be great, and sometimes they are so pushy you want to throttle them. It can be a bit frustrating because it's so convenient to get to that store. I prefer the people at the Harvard Sq store, but Natick is much easier (and has more parking) I go in to buy my regular Lush items and half the time they try to sell me a ton of other things I don't want. read more

I'm not gonna lie, I love Lush products. I've visited this location several times and there always seems to be a different staff, in the two years I've been regularly attending I've noticed a large turnover in staff. The staff is always helpful and upbeat and recognize me right away, it helps that I work nearby and my coworkers and I love the products. I love the products and won't talk about those. The service is great, everyone is friendly, I'm never sold anything I don't want, they'll custom cut soap to the size I want instead of the pre-cut pieces, they always go above and beyond and they're excited about the products which gets me excited as well. I'm always happy with my purchases and leave feeling like I was just hanging out with some good friends.... some good friends that smell really good and cover me in glitter. My only complaint is... I bought the Wild Child box set during the after-Christmas stock up sale based upon the display box. It includes the Chocolate Whip Stick lip balm, my favorite, along with a lot of other favorites of mine. When I got home, imagine my surprise to find both boxes did not include this vital item. I thought I made a mistake and grabbed the wrong box so I went today to get what I wanted and realized the display box does not represent the actual product and the sales people know that and didn't warn me when I bought it, as I said "ooh this one has whip stick in it!" at the register... other than this one gaffe in two plus years, I'm very happy. read more

I stopped in to look around but got bombarded by a sales associate asking me all kinds of questions about what I'm looking for even after I told her that I just wanted to look around. Is it ok to just look around? She proceeded to try to push the bath bombs on me so I patiently listened to her spiel. I then told her again that I just wanted to look around. I proceeded to the back of the shop and got bombarded with questions from another sales associate. Do these people work on commission??? Unfortunately browsing is impossible when there are sales folks hovering and commenting on every single thing I'm looking at. Ideally this would be a great place to roam around and smell and sample the different products but it is quite difficult with aggressive sales associates. read more

I love Lush! I use the products, give them as gifts, ask for them as more gifts. I own a spa and lots of products. I make lotions and bath salts to sell and I still shop here. I risk being pointed out by mall shopper who might recognize me and report me to the downtown merchants gestapo. The staff are usually very nice and today they were super friendly and extra glittery at the open house. I wish they were a little bigger. Now that some stores have left the Natick Collection maybe they can spread out. I hear some of those condos are still available. read more

So I definitely have different insight to this location than most of you. As I used to work in this location and now I'm a regular customer I see both sides of the story. Management has changed 6 times since they have opened. So that accounts for a lot of the inconsistency. Lately though the current manager, who's actually leaving in 2 weeks. Has managed to clean up the store a lot and get some new upbeat staff in there. Unfortunately as she is leaving I dont know how it will be in a month. I do prefer the store vs online for trying new things and its not in any sorts of rules or guidelines that you automatically get free samples with every purchase. It's pointless for them to give you random things as most people never use them and thats true. HOWEVER they DO give targeted samples without hassle. Which means ASK FOR WHAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. You're more likely to enjoy your samples if you get ones you are interested in rather than a tiny chunk of mystery soap. As far as pushyness goes. It is a retail establishment and they are there to sell, just like every other place. Their purpose is to take your money and give you product and are graded on their ability to do so. So if you are antisocial and do not like being talked to. Well then maybe the general public isn't for you. Headphones nor cell phones won't stop them from saying hello. It's quite rude of you to be doing either in a private shop anyway. As for the comment about not even being deaf stoping them from helping? A large amount of deaf customers shop there and they do not ignore them. They help them just as they would any other human being. If you don't like being sold to, say so. They are not mind readers and won't know you know everything there is to know about lush unless you say that. All it takes is "I'm fine thank you, please let me shop and I'll grab you if I need you." And dont be a huge B about it. They're just doing their job. You all know you hate it when people are needlessly rude to you at work. They will walk you thru all the products again at the till though even if you say you've used everything. Because with such different products half the people are using things wrong and don't bother to listen to staff when they are actually trying to teach you. Overall, This shop has had lots of management changes and yes, you will be sold to. But all it takes to go about having a quiet shopping experience without hassle is opening your mouth and telling them you don't need any assistance. And yes, They will chat to you about other things than selling you. They're all actually quite nice people and are not going to jump down your throat as soon as they say "Hey how's it going?!" Point being: If you go in with a poor attitude they aren't afraid to get annoying and give it back because you're a douche. If you go in with a genuine and pleasant attitude they'll be more than helpful and you'll love your experience. You get back what you give. You get bad service if you walk in with an attitude and amazing service if you walk in and are polite and social. Why should anyone have to be nice to you if you are rude to them? They're real people not robots meant to serve us. Anyway, that was a review and a little insight. I wish more people would view things from an employee standpoint. I LOVE this place and the people who work there. I came in one day almost in tears after a bad day and just wanted to spend some money and blow off some steam, and two of the girls working there (I wish I knew their names!) immediately told me to sit down so they could give me a hand treatment/massage. The girl who gave me the massage listened to me and didn't make me feel like a freak for crying in the middle of the store! They are all super friendly and nice and I can truthfully say I've never had a bad experience here. Most of the time, I ended up leaving wishing I worked there myself! They do push a lot of products on you... but that's their job and honestly, if they name off five products they think I should use and I only seem interested in one, they don't continue pushing the four other products on me. They are willing to listen to what you're looking for in a product and they actually give really awesome recommendations, and I love that. I am only hesitating to give five stars for two reasons: the size (which they can't control, but the store is TINY and it makes it very difficult to move around if more than two or three customers are there... I don't even know how many bath bombs I've knocked over in there!) and the fact that it is generally way overstaffed. I do love the people who work there, but I've never seen less than maybe four staff there at one time and it can be a little awkward when you're the only customer in the store. The only time I have seen the store busy enough to warrant the amount of staff they have on at one time is during the holidays. I have worked in retail and know they are just trying to do their job, but it comes off as a bit abrasive when you are asked what you're looking for four different times by four different people. read more

My absolute favorite place to buy hair and skincare products, with just one drawback. I love that they're natural and cruelty-free, and the results are well worth the prices. I do however have to knock off one star for how aggressive some of the employees can be in their attempts to upsell. There's one male employee at this location who can't seem to take no for an answer. He repeatedly shoved products right in my face and even tried to apply lotion to my hand without asking permission first, I had to yank my hand out of his reach to stop him. He also persisted in trying to sell me different products even after I told him that I already had everything I had come in for and couldn't afford anything extra. I'm sure that they work on commission here and/or are required to upsell, which I sympathize with but really, violating a customer's personal space, trying to put a product on them without asking and continuing to badger them after they've clearly said no is the worst way to go about it. read more

These are a few of my favorite things... *and aren't the names a hoot?* I love LUSH. I've been using their products for about 4 years or so, religiously. I've always had super sensitive skin, and their stuff just totally works for me. I personally love the overall "LUSH Aroma", but I have found it can be a bit of an acquired taste *especially for my husband ;0).* Their products are organically and naturally based (really, too! Lots of fruit and vegetable extracts, essential oils, no animal products, etc.), fresh and handmade. I love all that. *They seem to have a really wonderful/ thorough "no animal testing" policy as well. That makes me happy. :0)* Generally speaking, I feed my LUSH addiction online, as I live on the dang South Shore, and the closest one is on *I think* Newbury Street. As we were headed to the Natick Collection for a teenage-requested summer "day of fun" (no beach for her, shopping all the way!), I was psyched to find out that the "Collection" *ugh, it's a mall, Natick!* had a LUSH. I agree with the other reviewers about the size; this one is teeny-tiny. It's WAY too small to house all of their fabulous products. But I did get terrific customer service from a sweet, incredibly helpful guy named Steve. He was awesome; had a genuine passion for the products, showed me some of the "Retro LUSH" that was coming back for this weekend, a bunch of stuff from the UK line, and was just as chatty as me (without a hint of pushiness*. He loaded me up with samples when I left, and if I lived in the area, I would definitely get my LUSH from him all the time. Big fan of LUSH, but would love to see this location expand. I have to say the woman who helped me was very nice, not pushy at all and she listened to my questions and actually answered them like she knew what she was talking about. The store is very small and they take advantage by making a point to be very hands-on interactive with all customers. Got my mother some really nice stuff in here for her birthday had never been here before. Typically these of the stores my girlfriend would drag me in when she wanted something like bath and Bodyworks but this is a pretty cool funky store and there's actually stuff for guys in here! A little bit pricey but that's what's expected when you come to the Natick Mall. Definitely give them a visit! read more
