I don't understand this store at all. It has tons of inventory and no one working there. I walked around for 10 minutes looking for someone to help me. Unlike other Ultas, this one makes no sense. I generally refrain from writing bad reviews, however this experience was so terrible that I want to warn others against coming here and wasting their time, energy and money. First things to note. I have been coming to this Ulta for a number of years now. They used to be on another plaza, and again. I've been going to this store In Natick since. In that time, I've built a decent rapport with the staff. I'm in a wheelchair, so shopping is always a bIt involved. While they have previously had display cases, it's never been as bad as now. Maybe it's the holidays, I don't know. But one side of the store was completely inaccessible. It was thanks to other shoppers who helped me get something that was completely blocked off. Now, I am aware that it the holiday season and things are difficult. That said, this is beyond what I've ever experienced in a store Before. I had put an online order. But while there, I remembered to pick up some other things like lotion and shampoo. As I get to the line, the cashier yells for the next person, I am making my way in the narrow check out, she sees me and yells again. As I am speaking to her, I explain that I have a pickup order, i bring up my email to show her the order and the barcode. I forgot my ID, which was silly but the rest of my wallet is on my phone. So, I ask if my husband's ID would work. Yes, except now, he needs to be added to the pick up order. Which, if I weren't there, would be understandable. However, I am right there with him picking it up. So now, despite having email, order number/barcode and two people to pick up, that's still not enough "for store policy". (I did call the office and they confirmed that this did follow their policy.) -it didn't help that she very visibly had distain for me as soon as I was rolling up. I know being a cashier during this season is especially difficult, I'm not asking for fake smiles or cheer. But some basic thinking and empathy skills. Like, I'm not here buying liquor, cigarettes or weapons. I'm just trying to get my basic cerave lotion and a lipstick. Things are hard enough for us all, why make it harder? Anyway, most of the stuff they sell can be found at Target or Amazon now. But if you need/want to shop in person I've had a better experience at the Hudson location. read more

My husband and I went into the Framingham location today and will never return after being treated with the utmost disrespect by associate, "Stephanie." I approached her nicely and said, "Excuse me, do you have this eyebrow pencil in a full size?" She was extremely upset that I didn't ask her how her day was going prior to inquiring about the product, and told me she'd check and walked towards the back of the store. I asked her to hold on so I can show her the item and the shade. She said she knew it was "Fantasia." I corrected her and said it's "Anastasia," and asked how she knew which shade I needed. She furiously continued on her way towards the back of the store (these products are located in a locked droor at the front of the store next to the Anastasia shelves, as I witnessed the manager subsequently check, so Stephanie never intended on assisting me in a purchase). I spoke to the manager, "Jolene," and relayed what occurred. She indicated that she knew Stephanie and that she wouldn't do it "purposely," and it must have been a "misunderstanding." Actually, Stephanie's behavior was purposeful and there was no misunderstanding. Stephanie refused to assist me in making a purchase because I neglected to ask her how she was doing prior to inquiring about a product. She treated me with absolute disrespect and she should not be working in a customer service position. At the very least, she should be reprimanded and trained on products sold at Ulta, and how to treat and assist customers. read more

I used to go to Margarita in Framingham for my hair. Gradually over time she turned my hair black. I asked Margarita what was going on with my hair and she was rude and defensive and just did not want to listen. I go to Dellaria now. They said she was not supposed to pull the color through my hair for my root touch ups. my stylist at Dellaria mentioned she needs to go to hair school for training and should have known better... my hair is also so dry and frizzy I have to let the dark hair grow out. It is too destroyed for foils or biolage to lighten it. ​​It is so unfair people like this get put in the salon and called a master stylist. read more

Tried to return an online order on April 10, 2025 at the Framingham Ulta store. I accidentally ordered two orders of the same items so I was returning one entire order. One of the associates had problems scanning the items (because they said they don't carry some of the items), so she called over to a manager. The manager did the return for me but the amount came to less than what I paid for. I asked her why is she giving me less taxes that what I paid and her answer was, 'That's what the computer says.' and expected me to just accept it. I said that makes no sense and she proceeded to say the same thing again. Then I explained to her how does that make sense that something I bought 8 days prior, being returned with a receipt, and getting less money in return? She couldn't answer me and said she couldn't help me out. I took my stuff back and walked out and planning to go to another Ulta to return. Updating my review based solely on the amazing service from Lucas recently, I had one small item to return and there were a few people before me with the usual things that might take a little extra time (coupon not scanning correctly, trying to look up a rewards accout, etc). My return turned out to also be a little weird (paid via Paypal as part of a much larger order) and the system couldn't connect to PayPal (definitely error on the PP end), we chatted while waiting for the system to do something and he asked if I would like a gift card instead? No problem, I will use it soon. He thanked me and I was on my way, big shout out to him (and the amazing shirt he had on that morning with flamingos)! read more

Margarita at the salon was really unkind. I am an independent student and wanted to do something nice for myself by getting my hair done. She spoke to me really impatiently and with a lot of condescension; even scoffing when I asked about a specific service and again when asking about the pricing for the service she said I needed. She honestly made me so embarassed that I just thanked her for her help and left in tears. That being said, the girls behind the retail counter were so sweet. read more

I had a hair appointment scheduled and the staff said that they called me to cancel 10 minutes prior. There was no evidence of a missed call or voicemail so I had them confirm my number was right and then to avoid conflict after saying I never got a call, I conceded that there had been a voicemail even though there wasn't. they said they would talk about getting a price adjustment and were moving my appointment to an hour later and apologized for wasting my time. then, once I left the store they called me to reschedule for Wednesday. I am travelling to an important conference there and hoped to have my hair done before going. now I get to DIY my hair at home because there were no other staff. not necessarily anyone's fault but this kind of thing happens a lot and it sucks to not be able to rely on a set calendar for follow-through on things. do better read more

Huge shout out to the employees at this location going above and beyond. I came in asking for help finding a lipstick that matches my nail polish and Trinity was not only excited to help, but found a perfect match in less than ten minutes. She made my day and I will definitely be recommending this Ulta location to friends. read more

Great store and selection horrible customer service. I came in one day and circled the store completely 3 times looking for a specific product. There was a girl working but she was busy talking to her friend (for quite a while). Finally i went to the front register to ask the two ladies there. They first told me they didn't carry that brand, but followed up with "we have a small selection", when i told them specifically what i was looking for they told me i could find it over there (pointing to the small grab and go products at check out). I sifted through and couldn't find it (mostly because the packaging of this product was so non discreet and wasn't what i was expecting, it blended in with everything and there wasn't a label call out). I finally asked the girl to show me and she had a hard time finding it but we finally found it. It really would have been helpful for the staff to be more efficient and helpful. Piss poor customer service and understanding of the fact that cash is king. I wanted to purchase gift card for my neice for Christmas. Upon wanting to simply give Ulta $100 for a gift card, the cashier advised that I also provide a phone number to her in case there are any issues with the card. Why would there be any issues with a gift card? I've never been asked by a retailer to provide a phone number with the purchase of a gift card. Why would I give Ulta my neice's private phone number or my phone number for that matter when all I want to do is to simply give Ulta $100 so my neice can buy Ulta products. I'm not in the business of giving gifts that are hassles and apparently Ulta gift cards often come with hassles and issues per the clerk's request for a phone number in case of an issue. Oh, and how is putting a phone number on a card going to ensure that my neice won't have any issues using the funds? Isn't that the purpose of the gift card receipt? I explained that I was looking to give my neice a gift card for Christmas, not a hassle and left. Sephora sells gift cards. No phone numbers required. No hassle either! Just a $100 gift card. In the market for a gift card for someone who likes cosmetics? Forget Ulta's gift cards with issues and hassles. Just go past go, collect $200 and by a hassle-free gift card from Sephora. read more

Hopefully this is the time I remember to never go back to Ulta. I've never had a good experience in there. I feel like the associates, while usually friendly, are not very knowledgeable. Today, I walked around the store looking at products for about 15 min. Not a single associate approached me or asked if I needed help. I wasn't even greeted as I entered the store. Fine. That's fine. I didn't need any help. When I was done looking, I took the hai conditioner I wanted to purchase to the register and encountered the same battle I face every time I go to ulta. The woman at the register asked me for my phone number on file. I told her I didn't have one. She asked for my email address on file. I told her I didn't have one and I just wanted to pay for my item. After a little more back and forth about my info, I asked her if I could just pay and leave. She turned a little cold, did not speak for the rest of the transaction, and lightly slammed my item on the counter after she scanned it. Then I heard her laugh and say "yeah" into her headset microphone, indicating one of the other associates had made some type of no doubt hilarious joke about how I wouldn't just give them my phone number for data mining. Lol. I understand this is part of her job, but there was no need for rudeness and unprofessionalism when I simply asked to pay for my item without giving them my personal info. Tatiana at the hair salon is amazing! She has colored my hair, cut my hair, as well as multiple blow outs. I drive an hour just for my appointments with her. She is so friendly, a true professional and always makes sure my hair looks great before I leave the salon. read more

Never get your hair colored at Ulta Beauty in Framingham. Kianna who colored my hair turned it green and let me leave looking like that. I'm pretty sure she didn't know what she was doing. All I wanted was to get my $134 from that service, but the hair salon manager, Lisa said I couldn't. Never once did she apologize for what her employee had did to my hair. Such incompetent people that shouldn't be hair stylists. This is no way to treat your customers. read more

The customer service was horrible, I had a blank and could not remember my card 's pin so I grabbed my purse to take cash and she was ready to grab the products that I got. According to her she thought I was "Packing up". I like Ulta Beauty but the customer service in this particular location is terrible. I just left the store. First it took them a while to finally notice me (as I was standing in front of them, and the store was empty). They were too busy talking to each other. When I asked the lady for advice on the products, she was not familiar with any of them and asked me to read the ingredients myself. When I went to the cashier, she was just looking at me and didn't even say hi. As the products were on the counter she just left without saying anything. Felt so disrespected and uncomfortable that I left the products on the counter and left the store. Unfortunately it's not the first time I have this kind of experience in this location. I absolutely love getting facials here by Meagan but the management is ridiculous. My last appointment I called to book and thought everything was fine but when I went in for the facial, management had told me that someone booked me for something they don't do and for a day Meagan wasn't in. I honestly love some of the staff there since most are willing to assist without having to track them down but the way management runs the location and how they chose to deal with situations is unprofessional and bring the review down for this location. But I want to end this on a good note by praising Meagan because my skin is getting better. She really cares about helping your skin and doesn't do those superficial facials that are only for show. read more
