this is your typical LUSH store! its a cute little shop off the street in wicker park. girls, if you haven't been in lush yet to try some of their products, you HAVE TO. newbies: they give you samples of whatever you want to try out so you dont have to commit using ur wallet yet! for all: come in here for the smells and the beautiful-ness of their products. i used to use their seaweed facial cleanser for ages, until my face turned super sensitive and my wallet turned thin, but i love their products. my friends use their face masks and bath bombs. unlike some other products, they actually make you smell good afterwards from whatever scent it was! read more

I'm really happy Lush came to the Wicker Park neighborhood where I can easily walk to it. Their products are very high quality and worth the price. This store is a bit petite in size but the staff is always super friendly and helpful and make it seem like it's a joy to sell their products. Great business all around. I'm also so glad they used psychedelic music guru Steve Krakow of Plastic Crimewave Sound to design their new Gorilla perfume line too! read more

LOVE the BATHBOMBS! Break them in half.....one full bomb is toooooo much. Only thing i dont like is that im not free to look around the store with out being stalked by a sales person. I appreciate the passion for the product...but its a bit much being followed around in such a tiny store space. Love the company and the products. read more

This is a review of THIS one local Lush store, not all of Lush in general. I have been to many Lush stores across the United States so I feel I can compare them. From the minute I walked into the store until I left I felt like I was being hounded to "try this" or "try that." With multiple associates following me. I understand you want to sell products, but this became way too over the top and obvious today. I tried to make it clear that I knew what I wanted, but they kept pushing other products (which I already own) and going on and on about them. It felt like they did not really want to listen to me but wanted to ramble on about the random Lush product facts that they stay up all night memorizing. I also felt like I was being judged for the products I wanted to buy. I understand they may think a certain face mask may be better for me, but I have already tried that, and I know what they all do. I do not need to hear all the ingredients and what they do for some people's skin when I have already used it. I love the products and the store brand of Lush, really once I hear about what a product is it sells itself to me. I said I wanted the Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo, and I got a "Why don't you try it with the American Cream?" (No thanks I already have) and then a "Well does your hair get frizzy? Try the R&B then!" (No, and I already have that). And then even more "Well my favorite is the..." and on and on. Thank you for seemingly trying to have good customer service, but there's a definite line between answering my questions and going over the top trying to up sell. If you have never been to a Lush before this store might be inviting and get you to try new things, but I have no doubt they have scared a few customers away if they used the same tactics as they did on me. read more

Natural ingredients, locally produced, minimal packaging, and no animal testing. As far as I'm concerned the amazing smell and fun vibe are just bonus points on top of how eco friendly this cosmetics and bath option is. One bummer is that they've discontinued most of their cosmetics line and seem to always be out of the few cosmetics they do still sell. read more

I love lush!! I can never walk out of here for under $50. The sales people are adorable, the products are fantastic. Ever since I've stopped using generic or chemically manufactured products on my curls & started using Lush supplies, my hair's been looking and feeling better than ever! My one teeny, tiny complaint -- during my last visit, an employee offered me a product to help my hair look better between color treatments, so I wouldn't get "that fade so fast." ... as a natural blonde, I kind of wanted to cry. BUT - even the Boy loves Lush! I have him using the Dirty hair product and the Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo, both ingenious formulas that even scrappy artists will love. I'm also hooked on the Stout, the occasional Curly Whirly, the massage bars (the glitter one especially), solid shampoos (lemon jasmine, YUM), solid conditioners (especially the trichomania) and of COURSE the bath bombs. Now that I think about it, I couldn't even imagine how difficult it would be to be a sales person like that, so maybe I should shut my mouth. And get highlights. read more

Awesome! Amanda is such a wonderful person. They do as much for the community and support our organization "A Long Walk Home" to end violence against girls and women. Absolutely love them!!! read more

My favorite Lush location. People are friendly and super helpful without being overbearing.

Great Great customer service, those girls are really good sales agents because i spend almost all my paycheck there but soo worth it! Went there on Monday got the cosmetic warrior mask and a lip scrub the guy did a conditioner treatment on my hands and we left. On my way home i couldn't stop smelling my hands i was in heaven made or roses. I couldn't wait another day to get my hands on that divine conditioner. Went back on Tuesday and Michelle helped me and my husband picked a few products for me and him she was great. I guess now i know why everyone is obsessed with lush because now so am i. I will become regular at this store :) cant wait to go back and drop some more mula for divine products ! read more

I came in for the lip scrub that was recommended to me (that I LOVE, by the way) but left with a few other items because everything in here was so great. The girl who helped me out was really super sweet and helpful, not too salesy. I really liked the vibe of the store. It was very laid back and they all seemed genuinely excited about the products. read more

This was my first experience in a LUSH store, but I have to say, I was completely wowed! Crystal and Will greeted my friend and I as we walked in and offered us a hand treatment. I had to say, "Why not?" She was completely friendly, explaining about what she was applying, and the product was so heavenly! We also wanted to explore the face products, so without hesitation Crystal helped my friend out and Will helped me. We found out that the people there DON'T WORK ON COMMISSION, but that they loved the products and talked about the ones that they own. They were both really funny- telling jokes anecdotes and Crystal even told us an anecdote about her family. I looked like I had gotten a full night of sleep once Will applied the facial products. He also talked to us because we both had questions about the haircare. I even got a sample, which I can't wait to try based on the other products. I have a feeling that I will be going back, soon, to pick some of that up. I absolutely am forward to the trip. They were hilarious and so nice and everything in the store smelled amazing. I am excited to try out some of the products that I picked up. The ethics and personalization of LUSH products are completely different then anything you can find in a department store or beauty supply store- and the products are BETTER than those that are used during a professional facial, in my opinion, because the ingredients are better and because they are made organically, in small batches at a time, without using chemical preservatives. I know they do parties, which would be great! I would love to do something for my bachelorette. Also, something of note, and something that's important to me, is that LUSH takes an active stand against animal testing and 80% percent of the products are Vegan, 100% are vegetarian. The Vegan products are clearly marked, so if this is important to you, you'll have an easy time choosing what you like. read more

I love Lush, and this store has the best employees hands down. Going in here is always fun, the associates are extremely knowledgeable and quick to help you with whatever problems/ needs you have. I have extremely dry hands, and had tried everything until walking in here. With the help of a few products, my hands are soft and not peeling. Yay! read more

Absolutely amazing customer service! From the second I walked in the door I was greeted and once the associate found out I hadn't been in to a Lush store in awhile (I live in a city that doesn't have one) he went through great lengths to explain everything to me as well as giving me a hand/arm moisturizing treatment and helping to recommend products to help with my sensitive/dry skin. Left with some great products that I'm excited to try and a lot of information and helpful tips. Highly recommended! read more

Wonderful staff! These wonderful gentlemen were very friendly and helpful. We genuinely enjoyed stopping in here on our trip from California. They graciously informed us that the perfume was available there since it's not sold in California. I didn't know this so I bought some that I'm really glad I did because I love it. Thank you again for making our stop here so enjoyable. read more

As I tell anyone that I bring to a LUSH store, the product will sell itself. If you are new to LUSH, try the lemonly flutter on your nail beds. I have not found anything better. I have been going to LUSH for years and was thrilled that they opened up a location in Bucktown. The staff is great and friendly. Look for Jessica when you go in. She is by far the best LUSH sales person I have ever run across. read more

I loved Lindsey! She made our hands so soft!!!! Got great hair supplies and were complimented all night on our hair thanks to the products! One halfie Afro and Asian wavy hair! So versatile and fresh! Yay! read more

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Laura was great! Very informative helping me find the right product while keeping in mind my allergies. read more

Super friendly staff! Went in to change my entire skin care regimen a week ago; I had an idea of the products I wanted to pick up and Tommy sat down with me and sampled all of the products on my skin and gave a thorough explanation of the ingredients and how it all works. For an especially pricy moisturizer, I wasn't quite ready to take the plunge - they provided a free sample which I've used over the last week and plan to return this weekend to buy the full size. Awesome experience! Bonus: In 1 week I have noticed improvement to my skin compared to my prescription routine. read more

Dropped in to get some Fresh Farmacy, ended up leaving with two new products. The ladies here were helpful :) Thank you! Place was smaller than other LUSH stores I have been in, but I thought it made it more of a "cozy" location. Thank you LUSH ladies! read more

All of the employees are so sweet here. I had an allergic reaction to one of the face marks and they helped me find a better one. Seriously cannot live without the new one! read more

What a great experience! I was shopping for a birthday gift for my sister. The lady helped me find the perfect gift package for my taste and price point. Lovely time at LUSH! read more

Just wanna say I totally enjoy coming to Lush. One of my favorite indulgences! I thank my daughter for turning me on to this place. My shopping experience was made so easy with much needed help from Raquel. She had many great suggestions and I look forward to coming back. I've got some little gifts to buy friends. Thank you Raquel. read more

The staff was SOO helpful!! I wish I could remember the name of who helped me (maybe it was Rachel?) but I walked in in search of facial products for my dry skin and she knew exactly what I should try out and was so enthusiastic! She tested cleansers, moisturizers, and exfoliants on me and I didn't feel like I was taking up her time whatsoever. Such a sunny and genuinely helpful person I really enjoyed my first time at a lush store all bc of her. I'll definitely be back! And the next time I'll remember her name for sure lol read more

The best place to get natural goodies that keep me and my daughter squeaky clean and smelling fresh! My girl really appreciates how many glittery products there are, as I won't let her wear other glittery cosmetics as she is four and I want her to come in contact with as few harmful chemicals as possible. This makes her feel like a princess, and makes me feel like a good mama! read more

Love love love!!! I highly recommend Herbalism and Ocean Salt. They seriously are my go-to skin care products. Staff is really friendly and the place smells great. If the door is open you can smell everything from the outside. It's in a great location as well read more

I can't believe I had never stepped foot into this place until today! Based off of their reputation of having all natural products, I kind of just assumed that they would also be super expensive. I was so wrong! Amazing products, (I know because I got to sample literally everything) and a total friendly and helpful, knowledgeable staff. Liz the manager is fantastic. The other employees were also great, I just didn't catch their names. I purchased a couple of items and only spent 20 bucks! I will definitely be back to purchase more soon!! read more

Seems to have some nice quality items. The store itself smells absolutely overpoweringly not good. It makes it extremely difficult to smell the merchandise that has a more subtle scent. Salespeople were friendly and knowledgeable and I enjoyed the demos, but I would have a very difficult time going back. If you're sensitive to smells be warned. read more

Decided to stop by and get some gifts for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Saw that is was busy so I decided to wait. I kindly acknowledge the associates working the floor in order to Advise that I would like some help. I had no problem waiting. While waiting a couple more people walked in and they were immediately served right before me. I just felt like I was completely ignored. I was prepared to buy a bath bomb kit and what ever products that would kindly accompany the bath bombs. So out of frustration I just grabbed a couple bath bombs and a gift card from the register. While grabbing the gift card I was still ignored. The only person that was really helpful was employee #2874610 who was conveniently checking me out. read more

Dearest Lush, how I love thee. Your bath bombs *are* the bomb. I've almost tried all of them. My partner and I are religious about staying stocked. One note tho- you gotta let a girl know if one of your bombs has materials in it that may preclude use of jets in a tub. Just a light note...you know...I'm all ready for my relaxing soak, and drop in the sea salt bomb. Brilliant color- awesome clean and refreshing scent- AND A ZILLION LITTLE SEA WEEDS COME OUT OF THE MIDDLE! COOL and CUTE effect. But alas, that can't be pumped through jacuzzi jets. Anyway, love, your presence through this winter made Chiberia just a little warmer. So, thanks for that. Kisses. #firstworldprobs #chicagowinterprobs #lushrox read more

Love the location, love the staff and love the products. I refuse to use any other products and love that Lush is vegetarian. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful! read more

Any time I visit the Wicker park area I need to stop into Lush for facial products. The staff here is absolutely great! They always greet with a warm welcome and they demonstrate any product you are interested in. They are very knowledgeable about the products and how they can benefit your skin. The bat bombs are the best I always pick those up when I am in the area. Such a great place and I love visiting thanks again ladies! read more

We all know Lush goods are awesome - I just want to say sales associate Candace is really rad. I've always had solid, fun experiences getting my usual 2 products from this lush (plus a bonus bath bomb every now and then) but this time Candace and I got to chatting and she totally picked up on what I wanted/needed that I was a little under-informed about (tired waitress feet, fine lines around my eyes, color treated, fine hair, etc etc) and she steered me towards some really incredible products - and no, not in a pushy "buy more buy more" kinda way. She noted I was vegan too, and checked every product for the "vegan" emblem and even told me what ingredients were in some non-vegan things "this one has honey - are comfortable with that?" Super stoked about broadening my Lush product regimen. I feel fairly certain I will be eternally young and beautiful now. Or at least feel like it. Thanks, Candace! read more
