I went to Lush and had a great experience. Today I was helped by Lillian. I knew I wanted to buy some lip products, and when I asked for recommendations, they helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Whenever I had questions about specific items, Lillian was able to answer them right away and was very knowledgeable about the products. When it came to testing products, Lillian was especially helpful and let me try the two scrubs I was interested in. Their knowledge of the products made it much easier to decide what to purchase, and I really appreciated the excellent customer service. read more

Lush is such a fun shop if you're looking for creative soaps or bath bombs. I recommend them if you're shopping for gifts for friends or to treat yourself! I'm giving 4/5 stars because the smells inside the store can be a bit overwhelming at times. My husband is sensitive to smells and had to wait outside while I finished shopping, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive too! Otherwise, I've enjoyed all the products I've purchased from Lush; they make my baths feel more luxurious and fun! read more

Amazing visit to one of my favorite stores!! Ebony was super sweet and knew just what I wanted and which were the best lavender scented products!! She had such good energy!! I will be back soon for more bath bombs!!! read more

Love this location! Always full of great helpful staff members. I love the demos and sampling options they really want you to like what you purchase which is important to me. Plus I can always snag parking near by. This is my go to location. read more

I love good customer service, which is exactly what I got here. I've been searching for a dramatic bath bomb, and the staff took the time to recommend the perfect bomb for me. They also were very helpful in recommending products for exfoliation. Because they were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, I ended up spending too much money. But I'm super happy with my purchase. The store smells so delicious! read more

Ok so i went in liek just now maybe this is a personal issue but basically i had some cash i was trying to spend and i saw that there was a lush close to me so i went and i was trying to just look around you know i only had a bit of money and i really like shopping so i want it to last a long time before i buy something. Now before i came i had taken a considerable amount of Ritalin so im kinda on edge when i go in- just setting the scene for you guys I'm totally a introvert so like i said it's most likely just me the vibe was like sephora when you walk in i just thought they were houndin me cause they thought i was gonna steal something But i was the only one in there they're like oh like what is your skin craving and it was way too much i was like hey i just took speed im not really in the mood to chat it was very overwhelming and in your face so i politely said that and then they were still on my ^ss N then i ended up spending 40 dollars there and then i was like oh you can keep the change i really just wanted to get up out of there but they aren't allowed tips? or to keep the change? I don't know overall 5 stars for the service everyone was really nice but never take ritalin or aderall or anything of the sort before going here also if you don't want to chat don't go here just order it online or shop somewhere else cause you're just gonna feel like an ^sshole no matter what you do read more

I stopped into Lush for the first time toward the end of last year and I'm so glad this location is only 25 minutes away from me. This location is never super busy, maybe one other group when I've gone during the week and on a weekend. The staff is always welcoming and attentive. They are always pleasant at checkout. The shop always looks and smells good, of course, nothing out of sorts or dirty. Im obsessed with the shampoo bars and face/body scrubs. Will definitely be returning and recommending products to others! read more

I'm going hiking for about two months and i was looking for a soap to use as shampoo and conditioner at the same time so I stopped by here. As we walked in a lady welcomed us and offered to help. She was knowledgeable about the difference of the products and offered to try and offered other products as well. She also included things that I didn't even think they made like the pills toothpaste. By giving the free samples, it makes me think they know they work. I'll give them a try and most likely will come back and get them. Overall it was a great experience, unfortunately I didn't get the lady's name so I can post it on the review, she didn't give her name and since I didn't take a receipt I don't know either. Either way, thank you. read more

Had a bit of a problem in which I tried to order two bars of shampoo for delivery via Postmates. There was a mix-up and a delivery was not possible anymore so I had to go pick the order up. Julia sent me an email letting me know she refunded me in full and also I could go pick up the bars for free! Really made my day. read more

This place smells delicious... Love love the bath boombs they also demonstrate them in a small tub so so you can see what they will look like in your bath. Upon entry this store smells so clean.. They have all them handmade bubble bath and face masks and so much more. Prices are not bad. You can also ask for a sample. I definitely will return. read more

HOLY SOAPPY HEAVEN. This place lives and breathes with only the most luscious, sparkliest, and colorful bath products. Bath bombs, oil soaps, massaging soaps, bath cremes, body washes, and much more here. I chose a berry scented bath bomb for ~$6. Very content. This place is Bath & Body Works on steroids. read more

A co-worker at my old job gifted me the Each Peach (and Two's a Pair) massage bar last Christmas. I immediately planned a trip to WP so I could buy another bar once mine ran out. Upon first whiff, a strong scent of lemon shines through, which I believe is on the ingredient list. The bar also contains avocado and mango kernel butters. Those butters are then mixed with Fair Trade cocoa butter and shea butter. Your body is left silky smooth and soft once you've massaged it onto your skin. I also recommend purchasing the tin to store it. It'll prevent it from melting. However, the tins do not come in shapes for the more unique bars (anything square shaped or the heart shaped one). At $4, the tin's a good investment since the bar isn't cheap. It'll set you back $10.95 for a 1.7oz bar. Keep this in mind since you can use it up fast if you use it daily. I used mind every other day or two at most. However, I did not enjoy how the bar did leave behind a somewhat sticky residue on my skin after I used it. But, I enjoyed the smell enough not to really mind. I asked the sales associate to recommend a good lip balm to soothe my chapped lips, which were a result of the terribly cold winter we suffered through. She asked me if I was allergic to honey, which I'm not. She recommended the Honey Trap Lip balm. It definitely worked wonders on my lips and keeps them silky smooth. It also smells delicious. My fiancé has even commented on how good it smells. The only thing I hate about balms is what's left on your finger after you've put it on your lips. This is probably why I prefer things in stick formula, which none of their balms or scrubs come in, unfortunately. The associate also showed me their lip scrubs, which come in three flavors - popcorn, mint juleps and bubblegum. You can evidently eat them. I don't know, but that sounded too strange to me so I stuck to the balm. I really like the ethical viewpoints of the company and how they use Fair Trade and organic materials in their products. I try my best to eat organic and natural food, but I don't make the same effort with anything other than food. It's nice that a company like Lush is out there making it a key aspect of their business model. Lastly, the employees are extremely friendly and are more than willing to assist you and suggest products to you. I wouldn't say that they are pushy either. I didn't feel hounded either. Overall, I had a good first experience at the shop. I'd definitely come back to by another bar or balm. read more

LUSH - Each peach massage bar, massage bar tin and honey trap lip balm - Cosmetics & Beauty Supply Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Not since kiddy bubble baths has shower/bath time been fun to shop for. The have a wide variety of products that are very unique and of high quality! Very fun store and love seeing what's new while I purchase my olds favs. I usually get what I call "tingly" soap aka stuff with mint oil in it, love the quality of both the hard soap and body wash versions. The shaving products work well too. I did get my nephew and niece the play dough type soap which they loved. Truly something for everyone, it is pricey here but I do love their products. Fun place and always look forward to what they come out with next. read more

BATH BOMBS are what keep me coming back to Lush. I've tried a variety of other brands and nothing gives me the bath experience as these bath bombs. They are pricey but are worth every penny in my opinion. Lush is natural, organic, cruelty free and fair trade. They even have a charity lotion and ALL proceeds go to the charity. They have a ton of awesome products that the friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you narrow down what are the best products for you. Highly recommend for travelers. The shampoo and conditioner bars are a game changer! read more

The customer service at this store is where it's at. So much better than the Michigan Ave snobs. They still have the same house rules but they explain so much better! If you have questions and are not an expert in Lish products, start at this store. I will only go to this store from now on! read more

I may finally be a Lush convert. I'm not overly passionate about safe, natural products. I like what I like. If it works, if it's pretty, I'm sadly ignorant to the crap ingredients that can lead to everything WebMd says I have. But about a year ago, I found that my favorite body washes were drying out my skin and I wasn't happy with the product anymore. My body wash collection then went from generic Aveeno to pricey Molton Brown. I really wanted something inbetween, that still smelled fresh and bright, and didn't dry out my skin. One of my friends is absolutely in love with Lush, so I decided to give some of the products a try. The products are on the expensive side - $10 for a 3 oz. bottle of shower gel is definitely not something I am going to regularly budget for myself. The "Bubbly" scent is seasonal, thank goodness, because I'm in love with smelling like popped bottles of champagne. I did, however, pay a whopping $38 for a tub of the Turkish Delight body smoothie. The texture is like hard playdough until you get it wet. When you apply it to your body, it's smooth and creamy. It leaves my skin so soft and smelling fresh with a hint of sweet cream and rose. You can try any of the products while you're in the store and, if you're still not convinced, they do make samples. One of my friends must have been really nice, because she had 3-4 samples of bar soaps that the rest of us weren't offered. My past experiences with Lush have been lukewarm. I'm interested in the products, but the staff is notoriously in-your-face and constantly trying to apply lotions and are all about the, "oh you like that? try this!" tactic. They were less aggressive in the Bucktown store than Oak Brook though. read more

So I've always known about Lush and have heard how wonderful their products are, but I also knew that their products were on the expensive side, and so I actually let that stop me from just going in and checking them out. I know, how lame of me! Anyway, I received a wonderful Lush gift box for Christmas that included soaps, body conditioners, and my new addiction, Dream Cream! Especially in the winter time, I'm always shopping around for body moisturizers/lotions because my skin just gets so dried. Most of the lotions end up feeling oily on me or just moisturize for a few hours and I'm back to feeling itchy dry. Sorry, TMI. Dream Cream is the perfect name for this lotion. It feels like a dream for my skin. It feels nourishing on my skin without ANY greasy or oily feeling and the moisture lasts. What's wonderful is that it's made out of mostly natural products. It took me a while to get used to the smell on me (chamomile), but once it's on your skin, the scent isn't strong and you just feel yummy! So when I finally ran out I HAD to buy some more. I stopped in this store and the associates that work there were SO nice and extremely helpful. I told the associate at the register that I was just introduced to Lush recently and she said, "Oh girl, I got you. Let me give you samples!" So she gave me about 6 samples, one of which she prepped there. How lovely! Apparently, you can get free samples of anything you wish without the commitment to buy. It's really awesome of them. My sister's birthday was this past weekend, so I ended up buying her one of the gift boxes that included the Dream Cream, as well as Happy Hippy shower gel, this really yummy citrus-y cuticle cream, bath bars, and body scrub. Let's just say she's obsessed with Lush now too! :) Yes, it's kinda pricey, especially for what I'm used to spending, but quality skin care products are usually on the pricey side anyway. This store is clean and quaint and just plain smells yummy. And as I mentioned, the associates there are super helpful and very personable. This will be my go-to Lush store! read more

First of all: the location. This is my least favorite of the two Lush stores I shop at in Chicago. The salespeople here seem a little pushy, but more annoyingly, they just don't leave you alone. I was shopping recently and had something in my hand when one salesgirl brought me a small basket. I declined. I was only getting two things but was just browsing for new stuff. She literally got two steps away and another salesgirl was at my side with a basket. Again, I declined. This, along with constant "oh, have you tried this?" "what can I help you find?", etc. really annoyed me and made me leave quicker. Try the Armitage location. They are more chill. Now, products: My all-time favorite product is the buffy bar. I love love love this shower bar! It exfoliates (which feels amazing) and then leaves your skin with a layer of lotion, so you save a step after your shower. It took a little getting used to because I felt like I wasn't clean (since my skin was oily after I rinsed off the rough bits of the bar) but then I realized that's the lotion part and after the shower, my skin is so soft and glowing. I can't say enough good things about this bar. The only downside is how terribly expensive it is! Another favorite is the Ocean Salt scrub - it is AMAZING. Your skin will feel so soft after you use it, plus it smells delicious and is natural! Next time you are in the shop, ask them to demo it on your arm and you will be sold!! "Honey I washed the kids" soap is decent but I wouldn't buy it again. It wasn't anything special. I also recommend the popcorn lip scrub. YUMMY! read more

I think this is a really good location right down the street from six corners. I never get mad walking past here and smelling all the neat soaps Lush has. Everyone here is extremely pleasant and helpful. I am not a huge bath person but Lush can convert anyone because of how adorable their bath bombs are. So much colorful soap! I love it. I usually get the cinnamon shampoo bar which I believe is supposed to strengthen your hair; I honestly can not tell if it does anything except make my hair smell amazing. And I have tried some of their face masks which always leave my skin feeling amazing. They also have pretty good lotion but it does have kind of a funky smell in my opinion. Usually there is parking on Damen. read more

This LUSH is located off of Damen in the Wicker Park area. We stopped by this store and were helped by very informed staff. The person helping us was new but still knew the ins and outs of all the things you could possibly want for skin care. LUSH is not my thing but there is clearly a market for it. I just get my soap and lotions via my local grocer in the store brand selection. If you know anything about your skin or care about its health, I guess you would want to come here to take care of your largest human organ. read more

Staff was condescending and annoying. I went in long before closing and I was treated like I had interrupted their chatting session. They loudly talked to each other from across the store about random topics. Despite this, I was asked by four different employees if I needed help and if I wanted a sample of whatever I happened to be touching at that moment. Is it really necessary to have that many sales associates in a place that can't be larger than 15x20? I'll be getting skincare from Sephora exclusively now. read more

I really like this Lush location because of their staff. When we first came in, Tommy was quick to help us explore even though we clearly were not set on buying anything particular. He walked us through a wide variety of products, had us sample them, and provided tons of information. He was never pushy about purchases, and that alone made me interested in picking out a few items. This location is also dog friendly. It's a small store, but they love having pup visitors :) read more

I used to work in a soap store that prided itself on using local all-natural products. If you take a look at the ingredients in a Lush product you can see that they are anything but. Even so, I can't help but write a positive review for this establishment. I came in earlier this summer with paint residue on my arms from volunteering at the Chicago Color Run. Upon seeing me, one of the workers came over and offered to help me clean up. I expected an infomercial-esque sales pitch from her, but she was not very pushy at all. She demonstrated the cleansing powers of several exfoliating bars and proved to be very knowledgeable about the natural ingredients and their origins. She also regaled me with a story about how 'Buffy' earned it's name by being known as the backside slayer. When she was done helping me clean off I must admit, my arms were not only clean but also moisturized and polished. I couldn't help but leave with a bar. read more

Wow! I was very hungover and trying to kill sometime waiting for a bus and stumbled into this Wicker Park Lush- let me tell you what; fantastical! That's the service I received from Chrystal (spelling?). She knew how to treat me like a lady! She gave me a little hand rub with some soaps and lotions. She didn't guilt me into buying anything but more or less acted like we were old friends which was endearing. By the time I left ($90 later... As you do at Lush) I had gorgeous soft hair, silky skin, lushious lips, and best of all no hangover headache! Great experience. read more

Just came back from shopping and am pleased with my experience. Staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable of all their products. It helps too that they use their products and are able to give personal accounts of the product based on their own experiences. The products are all natural ingredient based and have either a nice or neutral smell to them. I think the prices are great. Everything I bought should last me two to three months except the mask which has to be kept refrigerated and has an expiration date of two weeks which seems right compared to products of the same nature. I can't wait to try out my new products for a while and hope to become a regular customer of Lush. read more

The orange haired chick who works here is so rude and annoying. Instead of helping you choose a product she jumps down your throat for failing to grab the "tester". The location is nice, the salespeople here are a little aggressive. Though most are friendly, there's this one woman who works here as described, who is incredibly rude. The bath bombs are nice, fun for you or your or kids if you have them. The massage bars are my favorite. read more

LUSH is amazing-the store, the staff, the products-I just can't get enough of this place! Everyone is so nice and the products are AWESOME! If you stop in you'll get at least one hand or foot massage while you're there. A couple products that I recently picked up that I love are the Aqua Mirabilis Body Butter, Ro's Argan Body Conditioner, Comforter Bath Bubbles Bar, and the Oatifix Fresh Face Mask. I can go in there and get a new product every time and am always happy! read more

I love coming to this store. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and generous, not just with their time, but with the products. If you have any questions or want to try anything out, they're more than happy to share. The salespeople do not work on commission-this means they are a team, which I totally appreciate. It means they want to help you genuinely & not just to make the sale. Tell them your hair/skin texture and they'll give you the exact product for it. They also know exactly the right gift if you describe what kind of person you're shopping for. My husband was recently shopping here for me for Valentine's Day & had a great experience as well. Apart from the staff, Lush products are the best! They smell amazing & are good for your skin & the environment. I'm so happy that it's going to be my 'home store' when we move this summer. Friend them on Facebook to find out their special events in store. Things like product demos(recently a henna demo), or facials day. They're a blast! read more

I came into LUSH about a month and a half ago for the very first time, and what an awesome experience it was. The customer service was beyond spectacular, and the girl took me around the entire store, sharing with me about the products, offered a hand treatment, another one for dry skin, she showed me products for acne, hair conditioning treatments, etc. I love the way the store is designed, the employees are beyond wonderful everyone is super friendly and now, I get most of my products from here. Plus, they last longer than what most of my "high end dept. store products" lasted. And, you can't beat that! read more

I hardly ever come on this site to write reviews, but I had to write a review for this store. I had never heard of this store, but my friends dragged me along during a random shopping trip. I'm so glad they did! I usually don't like to be hounded by employees, but everyone in that store was so down to earth and friendly. Also, I know that they are trying to sell products that they stand by, love, and care about. These aren't the guys in the mall kiosk trying to dupe you on hand products. These are products that are make with care, that are high quality...and I was able to walk out with some lip ointments and hair care for only 30 bucks. Can't beat that. Also, one of my friends was unsure about purchasing a face wash, because she didn't know if it would work well for her or not. They were more than willing to prepare a sample size for her to take home and try out. It says a lot...they wanted her to be satisfied with the product and not focused on the sale. I look forward to coming back! read more

I have been a user of Lush products for years and have become a regular customer at each local Lush wherever I live. I was so thrilled to learn there is a Lush in my new neighborhood in Chicago. I have extensive knowledge of Lush products, so sometimes it can be a bit annoying if a sales person doesn't pick up on that and runs me through all the basic Lush pitches; however, the friendly outgoing staff realized I was a "seasoned veteran" immediately and began showing me all the new products that would pique my interest. Also, I had a punch card to get a free facial mask from a Lush in Ohio and while they are not obligated to honor it, the associate helping me said "whatever" and gave me a complementary Brazened Honey mask. It proved to me that the customer comes first at this Lush. I can't wait to shop again! read more

This was the most underwhelming Lush experience I've ever had. The store was so tiny it was hard to just be alone and figure out what I wanted. The employees as usual came my way and tried to help me, but sometimes I just want space and this was one of those times. The products are always amazing, I love coming in here and walking out with new products. I did think it was nice that they allowed dogs in the store. We brought our dog in, everyone was so friendly and wanted to pet him. read more

As a man, I literally feel typically ignorant when it comes to self care products beyond water and coconut oil :) I walked in the door only because my date was inside while I paid for the parking and what I found truly astounded me. Just used a lush bath bomb that was really a glitter bomb. Took me an hour to clean my tub. What kind of shit are you assholes selling?

What I don't like is being hounded by salespeople the minute I walk into a store, and it happened to me here my very first visit. Do these people get commission or something? Honestly, the level of chattyness was simply too much. I was followed not by one employee, but THREE. Okay, I get it, they are trying to make a sale. But is it necessary for someone to be breathing down my neck as I look around?? Anyway, the employees are knowledgeable and nice. I just wish they would take a chill pill and let me come to them. i just hate feeling burdened with having to buy something because someone spent 10 minutes engaging me in a conversation. Trust me, it is not a good selling tactic and it doesn't make me want to come back! Three stars, because I know the products are decent and I actually bought something I liked. read more

The staff is SO AMAZING!! I bought a ton of stuff I normally buy and some stuff I was new to trying. I ended up having an issue with the face wash I got. Probably just a weird batch. I also did not like the feeling of the deodorant I got to try. I brought them back in hopes to exchange and they were beyond amazing. They gave me zero problems and was super understanding. They exchanged my face wash for me and ended up giving me way more than what I originally left with to apologize for the issue. I am so grateful!!! I love being able to go and shop at a place where the people are knowledgable about the products but also just really care. This is why I get all my products from Lush but also this location. They've always been amazing and I will never not go. Thank you to the lovely woman that helped me out. You are amazing!!! read more

Every Lush I've been to has been impressive in terms of the products and the customer service, and Lush Bucktown does not disappoint. I get really dry hands in the winter and I went in looking for some hand lotion. A very friendly and helpful salesperson showed me Helping Hands, and it is THE BEST hand lotion I've ever used! I only need to use a small amount a couple of times a week and my hands have never felt healthier and looked better. She also helped me find some incredible coconut shampoo in a dry bar, called Trichomania, and a conditioner with strawberries, vanilla, and honey called American Cream. I have really curly hair that needs a lot of moisture and I've really never felt it as soft and strong as with this stuff. Lush has excellent quality and service, and the ingredients lists on many of their products are drool-worthy. I've never seen so many fruits, flowers, and natural products in a store, and this company really cares about where their ingredients come from and about how environmentally friendly their packaging and production are. The sales associate told me some impressive stories about their standards-Lush does not buy any ingredient from a company that does animal testing on any of the products they create. They also buy from some "third-world" farmers directly for some of the fairest trade in existence. You have to pay a little more, but it works better, is better for you, better for the farmers they buy from, and better for the world. Truly an amazing store. read more
